you're watching The Breakfast Club morning everybody is DJ envy Angela Yee Charlemagne to God we are The Breakfast Club we got a special guest in the Belen my man ace at rocky honey what assigning ma'am except you've been taking a lot of heat lately man let's get right to it it's a interview floating around basically it looks like you don't care about the black lives matter movement here okay our black Pete said you're not our shopton you are a side rocky man it's it's really messed up I want to see you know come here today and clear a clear the airwaves for the simple fact I feel like that that whole that whole interview was taken out of context as far as what I said I feel like I felt terrible as a black man as an American this is crazy like this Donald Trump this speaks really my brother knows route allottee to the mic I just don't understand how they keep saying the dog skin don't like black people don't saying like and it's because you do these interviews with these European reporters who journalists want to make a name for themselves and they take it out of context you know I mean if you read the most people who read that interview they only read that section you know I see what they saw floating around on the blogs I feel like for the most part people didn't really dissect that interview you can see that that's not my context I don't say my mates this is saying God that was reaching accent me yo how many people you slept with how many girls you slept with in it you know and I'm like that's it LSD South by Southwest name you seem like a non [ __ ] that once when I said it was over 24 hours span you know I mean like it's just stuff that's taken out of context and to get more reviews who knows so what I'm trying to say basically it's just like I look at it like you know there's so much I want to say I don't know what to say first I look at it like you got it you got your modern rappers like your favorite rappers today I don't know if it's thug future Drake anybody like you don't always hit a content being about no the political going on all all that of it I feel like why put me on a pedestal for that especially when I'm not asking for that no I'm saying I'm I I want to make music I'm gonna inspire I want to promote peace is at a time like this I don't have all the answers I'm not trying to run for Congress on I trying to run for office I don't have all the answers you know I'm saying I want to promote prosperity especially for black people especially for these young people and bishops people underprivileged I'm not here to talk about supremacy am I here to talk about who's dominant you know I just I'm it's stuff like especially from being being in London and looking at it from a different perspective man this is really sad because you come over here and you feel it like before I thought they were just trying to gas it for the world to make it look like America is a bunch of idiots and [ __ ] like that and this racism [ __ ] is you know really big and you know coming back here it's the truth you can feel the energy you can feel the tension you can feel the separation this [ __ ] is why we do a lot a lot of kids and a lot of people look up to you so I guess they expect you not just you but the celebrities too reacting to say something and to stand up you know for showing that's why I'm here today because I when it comes to stuff like this I usually try to you know save it for the music or you know to me and or try to you know speak about it when I'm asked about it but I think I need to speak out so we go right now and especially coming back and seeing that video that video with the you know the cop which one the sterling one that was sad man because that really that really touched me the most cuz I was just saying to myself you know what I mean like we all know yeah I hope people don't think that I feel like um you know invincible could you fit the description if it the description brother this do you think in that article in Time Out New York that you were misquoted or you think you misspoke I think it was a mixture of both cuz without what I was really trying to say is what I was just saying prior like I just feel like most artists don't don't speak about that and when you got the journalists actually you know so or how come you didn't speak about the Baltimore riots or how come you didn't speak about you know the earth your burgers and stuff and all this other stuff and it's continuous you know question out the question you get agitated no I'm saying I'm saying I don't I didn't ask to I didn't ask for that kind of responsibility by default you know I wake up every day as the proud black man so I you know me venturing off doing what I do I represent me I know it's like polymerase I know sacred person my parents raised you fell what I'm saying in all these circumstances is what I manifest into my music and at the time it's all about perception at the time I was dealing with my best friend Iolaus maybe I noticed every time I put out a album it's like I lose somebody like I lost my pops with my first I love my loss and so my second album you know and that's what I that's what I was going through at the time that's what I was thinking about and I'm just saying like the same day that uh sterling died it was like 300 people in quoting call me if I'm wrong like that dot and so Barry the same day so I'm very the same day right and it's just like perception because we can look at that day people could look at my situation and only a few people that can relate they could be like yeah I did lose the best friend I know what that's like to have to start an establishment with somebody losing though some people Cara Lee if people hear my story they might go I feel you know really bad you know what I mean do make them insensitive because they can't relate a hundred thousand percent look at the people and stop barrier they probably looking at the situation here like well we just lost three hundred it makes me about people's self-interest that's all and and I just I just get upset and what I was really trying to say that it was like yo I just I hate when the bandwagon stuff stop I mean how come you know black lives only matter when a police take them you know police officer takes it and it should be like black lobster it should matter when a black lights sake you know Amina [ __ ] which always matter more lives matter no those are those are two separate issues though cuz I imagine like you know somebody saying we can't complain about Isis killing America because Americans kill each other all the time nobody ever says there's two different extremes but it's still in stays hand-in-hand no bro you know one one life isn't graded and then the other not angry I believe it's a lot of selective humanity but I just feel like this I mean part is two totally different if we look at Katz's they're supposed to serve and protect us it's doing a job even even for me I mean like not long ago and the homie TV was coming from my house and I guess the lawn we triggered the long enough I didn't remember the new coat they came out they followed us with helicopters for like 20 minutes like that we try to get to the community that wasn't you know wasn't too much people and stuff like that and they made us get out in the middle of the street on the floor all over a misunderstanding get what I'm saying so all the Beverly Hills lady and that's and that's another thing you may keep asking me so where you live you know I'm like so so the big place I mean it's New York City is unitary where will you live in LA you know I live close to Beverly Hills and that it make it look like I'm just like God I'm good man I'm in Beverly Hills I know what's Hollywood was going on with shot you don't say like is it they said you said no I didn't want to talk about Ferguson because I live in Soho in Beverly Hills I can't relate see that's crazy not not at all you know I'm saying I'm saying if I'm in LA if I'm in London and something's going on in LA and you asking me about it I don't want to speak on that cuz I wasn't there I cannot contribute how can I pay my contribution to that you know what I'm sorry what I'm people just regurgitating OD people don't know what they talk about they see what they read they see you're not I mean and that's the point I rather you know if I'm dealing with that and I said I'm here I'm back in the states I'm seeing it I'm feeling that hate I'm feeling I got back and it's just like the racism is real not I mean I don't go to I don't go to middle America cities we in amazing markets LA New York so I we really don't know what is really like for them people that just go to work and come back home every day and was life like amongst the people in those communities that that all minorities all who walk who pardon me who are white you know what I'm saying we don't know how to get along I don't know Oh what I see and what I try to promote is is his unity man it's just like it sounds cliche but like Denis love you know what I'm saying that's what's really missing okay you do know what they go through cuz I think you've been through it a lot but you know I know you didn't been pulled over or if you were out in Harlem you got stopped and Pat it down for no reason and that sure a lot of our brothers are going through across the country you know yeah no matter how much you go to London how much you and I let you stood from Hall you ain't got to tell me that somebody who has really crossed over into the fashion world obviously we know you're the face of Dior now for the new campaign they always say the fashion world is really racist and you know we've heard Kanye go off about it how hard has that been for you yes that's what I'm saying me being me is just knocking down doors for people like me I wanna I want the next kid the next a sad rocky to be able to do it twice as big as I did because people like Pharrell and Kanye knock down I throw for people such as myself jay-z Puff Daddy etc fashion of course you know it has its racism and everything does you know what I'm saying like every industry has people who discriminate for one reason or another that's not my concern I'm in a race you know I don't see any found like a horse you know I got blinders on it's about the finish line it honestly it's just like it's a notice of no brainer we're not in the fashion because that's what I need to do to be seen nah man that's just part of the lifestyle you don't I mean it is it goes hand in hand with the lifestyle so have you gotten a lot of flack for dating or being seen with white women I'm sure people on social media do they come at you I would I wouldn't know but it I don't only just date white women I mean I know like oh I know you don't but I'm just saying like there was a picture of you and say kendall Jenner and I know people would be like oh my god I just masculine gentleman no it's a picture of them out together but I'm like you know how people are they go crazy and they're like oh my god now he's dating kendall Jenner and I mean like I used to date 80 like Friday but like don't don't bring that up right now don't remind people of that right now it was not now realtalk daughter I don't just I don't care about that you know what I mean I think interracial dating is dope you know it is what it is I as long as the woman is is what I want at the moment or what I desired you know I don't really care about like color but I think it's just a combination of like problematic statements people think you mean like when you lose at Oxford University and you said that um you can't speak out against police brutality because you aren't doing anything to help change it and then they reference the rolling out article and Denise when you said I don't know if you say you said you don't like dogs killing women with red lipstick Oh see that's my problem I say I don't like does I say some unlike certain shades of dog skin or say chaise a red lipstick on dog skin girls when they ask me and I say I don't like certain shades of purple lipstick on white girls got the white girls mad at me not the black girls mad at you damned if you do my damage nah but in some cases I've been wrong about that cuz you see very pretty brown skinned women with you know shades of red lipstick so you can't be wrong I don't know why asking me cosmetic questions if they just want to know my opinion I'm not I'm saying enough anybody was blue lipstick you no matter which although I they all go hate you now well I don't I normally like you what about all this going yeah I go on a strike make it look like your lips is frozen it's something that went wrong what about the comments at Oxford oh well you said you can't speak gotta get police brutality because you aren't doing anything up changing that's what I meant like I wasn't that's what I was living in stay in LA and my whole thing was I'm here to promote my album this before so my prior to the Oxford thing and I got questions about how many women like you had sex with and how I feel about the [ __ ] that's going on I'm like yo you're English journalist you not I mean like stick to the script you get what I'm saying and it gets aggravated you get agitated and back to what she was back to what she was saying uh part of me was the initial question about what we said I said you you aren't doing anything to help change yeah that's also dear basically that's all saying for me it's just like I don't really I would I would love to change the world I don't know where to start though I don't actually don't know what to do you know I mean it's like you damned if you do damned if you don't the best thing that we that we know that they stop they get fresh and all this other stuff I'm saying the best thing for us to do is at the end of the day how are we all gonna be Milly saying we not as a unit people you you got you got brothers saying aye well when the cops kill us we gotta stick together but when this is all said and done is back to queuing queue or whatever that mentality that grabber in the Barrow and I you know in part of me for sounding insensitive is it is that it is that Phil house mentality you get what I'm saying it's to the point where if we don't unify it's like how could you be militant how could you start a revolutionary you get what I'm saying Paco's trying to do that for you die it but you can't do it alone I feel like I want me to you that's why we got Jake oh we got Kendrick ooh that whole thing is based off of touching on each subject get what I'm saying and I just feel like you got artists such as eclectic artists such as ace at rocky or or pop being the first to venture off into high-end fashion having Gianni Versace say pause you know he's the most beautiful man in the world pause and in in having Andre 3kb the eccentric person he is and having most like those kind of that kind of light is what I want to represent because it's just not only pocketing only just put on foot for black men you get what I'm saying because at the huge debt in gone his legacy outlive you know what he was doing you got I'm saying because he still for something greater and I think it was unity and I think it was awareness self awareness especially at a time when black people were down and we didn't really know much about ourselves now that we got more awareness and we got more internet I think this whole this crab in a barrel mentality do need to stop you know what I'm saying I'm just it is missing me I'm very sleepy is messing me up and there's so much things that I really wanted to touch on while we got here but the overall message for me the most I could really do it at this point is just you know encourage everybody like man we got it we got to really get together we gotta give we gotta show love we got to spread love because especially with somebody like that guy Trump in office man is the catastrophe man really getting serious not and start taking it really too serious up and so like 26th 2016 I didn't expect a man that you know mean last year I'm saying and now to the day getting like word like what we gonna do you know I'm saying my man to raise he's a you know activist out here he always said that people wake up at different times you feel like you just recently woken up like the realize like what's really going on at it nah I think that like more so ever I just got dragged in the same zone you know I'm not I feel like I dealt with it I've been dealing with it I do it you know I'm powers so many different people from you know different different young black people if you look at all you look at a set worldwide that's about putting on you know young people young black people not even just black for you I don't want to stand here I want us out here I want to say here make it seem like man I'm only so Pro black man I'm about everybody you go on sale color some people not okay with that especially at a time like this cuz it's not even a for me I don't see black and white I just see a bunch of you know white officers killing black kids that's really about it I wonder how the black officers feel I wanna come question and I want know how to innocent because I'm quite sure it's not not every officers is guilty this is untouchability if they not speaking up to talk about the injustice that are going on in their own side agree yeah I agree but I feel like I feel like not every cop is as bad as the ones that some of us have been counted at right you know they didn't deserve to get killed what god yeah oh speaker was a cosign no like I mean even that one cop that I was we were talking about the one that they put up his Facebook post where he was saying that things are so bad and he felt like he's damned when he's in uniform people hate him as a black man people hate him and he's like if you see me and you feel a certain way just come give me a hug I'm gonna spread love you don't say another black man that's what you pray with somebody say will pray with you like if you see me you know yeah that's unfortunate so what so what's next on your agenda what do you want to do for cuz it seems like you got a lot on your heart right now so what what do you want to do cuz I tell I think everybody that comes up here I don't feel like we have leaders there's nobody telling us what to do it is no no there is no Martin so what do you want to do I want to stop by encourage everybody to think is individuals like we said prior like you just read a quick little article and it's like my whole my whole legacy I could do things and it's just like with Bill Cosby there's so much positive things leading up to one thing when she was convicted of being innocent for by the way people don't even speak about that you get what I'm saying or you remember is the 56 women and all that kind of you know I'm dealing with a lot of women when he's a party man understand and I don't I don't look I'm not his lawyer I'm not his but I do know he's innocent under Kong in the house of the law they said it was innocent you give her them satchel so nobody talks about that you know so all we know is that he was accused he allegedly raped however many women he raped witching you got you get it's so much issues in the world you know I'm saying after week after week after we get off the topic of you know police brutality on the urban kids in the youth and all that thing you got to talk about poverty and not the poverty you gotta talk about they got so issues never stopped huge never-ending cycle hey you're my pain fix I'm sorry not to cut you I just wanna cook I wanna is what about being a humanitarian man people don't really think about that concept especially is SP where we come from like that thing the way we view things like when I was in the hood I thought only crazy white boy cracked out boys did like acid or something like that not until I started going down Soho and then I had like mixed friends bottled by that I realized like okay you know what other people do acid - you know what I'm saying and you look at certain things like differently when you in the hood because you know that's just your product your environment some patient of your experiences basically know some people venture off but a lot of that I know stay can find a one block they whole life and what they know is the information that they give know a stereo nice the news I'm not just saying basically stereotypes I'm just saying you some people is just really like oblivious you know because just because they're products of their environments they don't really been sure they not really that open mind it's new things of something different which that's only insecurity that you know within themselves because of the you know circumstances and on the flip side sometimes you can start experiencing new things and forget about what's going on in the hood and I think that's what people upset about your comments for cuz it sounds like holiday it was going on I don't sound like I said nothing to sound like that interview said that you're not I'm saying and that's the thing it's a misrepresentation of me I don't wanna I don't want to copy back say that you know that that interview because that's that's inaccurate you know what I'm saying that sounds terrible bro so when it says it says you would rather when you said you would rather rap about drugs and clothes and talk about black issues see that's the thing you see when you read it it's like I'd rather talk about drugs my man and my man yams involved like I said may cause us it's out of context it's not that's not some upset I was like I would like to talk about what I'm currently going through for me you know what I'm saying if I'm in London I'm making an album every time I'm making out my lose my clothes like I said prior my man just died I'm so I'm messing around with it the ad said I'm seeing new things uh that's what I want to talk about you know and even in my even in my last album justifications but the nation that I once was raising I don't recall him friendly neighbor say from my upbringing back in my younger days of razor blades with gangs and banging stick and couldn't stand a chance on boys on dance with left them Harlem shaking on the pavement and my generation commend my society burning trippy pages on my diary it's the irony how LSD inspired me to reach the higher me you should never give a damn alkie entirely I'm saying something as simple as that I don't feel like I gotta be like every five minutes like touching on the topic to try to be high or try to be relevant that's not my thing I'd rather if it hit home and hey I speak on it I feel I talked about unity too and you know Steven Jackson said some things for the NBA that he can't you can't use the word trail anymore did you his comment that's that's you know what let me not even it that meant that that that brother regurgitated where he saw I can't even blame and I was sickening from when I saw and I know me you know what I'm saying at the end the day out all that other talking mice irrelevant you get what I'm saying but still in awe as it does stand this is a very very serious you know and and touchy subject and the matter on it is not is not funny at all because don't just only represent my from Harlem it's like black people that's trying to overcome what's going on right now for me to be a product that of that and not only just represent that you know you know in the come and have making it seem like I'm saying well you know uh but to be honest with you I really do feel like a lot of people you know don't really say what they really felt and on a minute because a lot of times which people don't say what they mean you know what they meant it gets misconstrued you get I'm saying I think that's people's fair really actually speaking in ma but it that I'm gonna continue to say I feel you get what I'm saying if I got going on my personal life I'm gonna feel pity for the world you get what I'm saying but sometimes when you really suffer you going through you it be like that sometimes come clean I think just because you don't know how to articulate what you're feeling doesn't mean that you don't care I feel like I do know how to articulate at times I feel like like I said that was misconstrued I feel like that was taken out of context and I feel like it doesn't representation of what I was saying and I I feel like that's where the conflict is at the end of the day you got a 60 something European man and in viewing me don't know much about nothing and I'm talking with teeth in my mouth I got a slur I'm not trying to make excuses this is my thing man like I'm a leaders at this cuz if not I'll be explaining myself all day this is this is a real touchy situation I just wanted to you know set it clear I came up here I wanted to come in that's true no I'm saying like at the end of the day it's not I wanted to make a set it clear I don't know how like why every time somebody got is every time somebody speak out like me saying if if I even if I didn't mean like yo at the end of the day I'm gonna speak on my subject matter why I gotta mean black lives matter get anybody from from where I'm from or you know I'm saying that so you do feel like you have to stand up for black people in black cause I feel like by default I'm doing it I'm I'm a dog skin handsome man not every day I stand up for black people get what I'm saying but at the end of the day I represent a culture that reaches beyond just our black just a skin color you get what I'm saying is really a culture and I I stand for kids who don't really that racism those are my people you get what I'm saying I trash and they trying to promote that and make it bigger and I feel like we finally getting to a place where it was just like you know all that and our country was dead for you're not dead but it was all memories and you go certain places you feel it you know I mean but it wasn't like you know on everybody's radar and I feel like the new generation this is the dosage of racism you're not I mean and the I just feel like all of these tactics are it stems from like the old depression in and of course it's like white supremacy all that so they they connected and it just seems like all these conspiracies and it's confusing we could go on all day about that you know what I'm saying I just think it's I think we need to start thinking this individual is all I'm saying is just think for yourself sometimes what you read and fine print rather be about me rather be about your next president if former president anything sometimes you got a question you got a second guess what you read because you got to realize that the yes the government does on our former mayors and governors on channels and all these other stuff and everything is accessed through them and they control everything and propaganda does exist all this stuff is still going on but they have no awareness to this I mean everybody is so everybody want to be political now but people don't even know the three branches of law people don't know the real Constitution they don't know they don't get this and that's all I'm saying I'm not trying to I'm not trying to look down on nobody for that because you know if you can't help what you don't know and that's wrong that's all I'm trying to spread cuz other is petty what we talking about trailer we talk about I'm saying at the end of the day I'm just here to cut I'm here to keep it straight at the end of the day you get what I'm saying I'm not this ain't no soap boxes this ain't no none of that you know I mean sure power and the connections that you have like what other coaches do you sure like you need to tell white people use your privilege to combat prejudice I put me really with me when you see our people needed I feel like for the most part people who affiliate with me that that's what they're doing you know what I'm saying especially these company I'm the first black man to face do so that counts as rapper model like the first black man you get what I'm saying on the what are we talking with that's not that's crazy we talking about a fashion house brand are we talking us like Coco Chanel this is like LVMH level talking about a fashion house brand that has never did anything like the everything I do me being me going to Oxford you know what I'm saying and talking there me doing is it that that's what I do at the end of the day I wear this away proud you get what I'm saying that the ideal happen I'm handsome I mean did they just reach or did you pitch yourself handsome man behind the scenes out of that no I think you just miss a relationship thing is it's been years all these fashion brands they know some of me I know them and since I came out with music it's you know that's how I got my introduction with fashion and they could tell that I'm authentic I'm not just wearing just like let's try to be cool it say we influence with tomorrow and like I said man I know I'm an artisan with that comes great responsibility you know what I'm saying and at the end of the day even if we want to admit it or not like we are role models so I'm just trying to teach you man be happy you know I'm saying they try to make the best of the situation like I said we employ young that I dropped out of high school that that that's working with me and doing graphics and and doing this and doing that you supposed to because I dropped out of high school you know I went to college get GED credits that I never got but I'm just saying at the end of the day that that doesn't mean before you can have tattoos and work in a corporate place you couldn't you know me couldn't have airing you couldn't listen to alternative music things are changing yeah I'm trying to change that you're empowering black people in a different way you just basically telling them don't look to me to give no speeches that's not which not that's not what I'm saying at all empowering the youth ghetto saying it I feel like you do it but you're not advertising that you're doing it these are things that are just natural that you're doing but you're not saying I've done this I've done this I've done this you're just I mean I've done dude just last week I donated money to the Harlem Children's Zone a part of me two weeks ago I donated money to the Harlem Children's Zone before that I did I got Harley I got charities in Harlem that I go to at the end of day well if you really feel like you if you really trying to do it out to love your heart you gotta always have cameras did why you always gotta put it on French Street that ain't grow that's all I'm saying and most people don't know that so you know at the end of the day it is what it is I can't fault nobody for being upset at those comments that that they saw or part of me not those count that paragraph that they saw for me because that is sickening is disgusting I'm very obsessed I'm here you giving up saying because I had to deal with that over a year ago and in the clean that up and I have you know make my ways with that to have a rung back up as a smear campaign I'm trying to figure out the going on because it's looking like this voice of battery taking away guns from people all this up next thing you know they passing laws nobody's looking at talk about this all they care about is like they give me they martial law they making these new things that when you used to be able to go to the concerts that if your phone application didn't work now officers know they've been correct me if I'm wrong do your Google do your Google Docs correct me if I'm wrong no but like they using they giving that now to the to the officers in America they they're good they just pass a law for that while all this is going on and that's what I was trying to say at the Oxford thing like what are we really what are they really trying to do now so I'm saying like think let's sit back and look and we don't understand they don't treat us but they don't teach us politics at the end of the day that's just the truth and we because most of the time this is the this is an ongoing conversation this thing just me today but most of the time politics and the political issues don't really reflect on people that is in the urban community or underprivileged communities and that's the truth at the end of the day the president everybody all these congressmen is in position and make sure that we stay we were financial state that we make sure that we're good in our commerce and our money is good that's the whole point of that of a president and stuff like that people don't they don't know that they don't even get that you get what I'm saying but yet people the highs Trump still here you get what I'm saying this is terrible this is a joke at this point I'm saying magic question I feel like I'm listening to you talking you said that every time you put out an album you lose somebody and plus you was on drugs do you feel like you're in a very dark place when you're doing these interview so sometimes you just angry nah I feel like I was just as I feel like I was agitated and lots of place to because I could take blame for anything that I do you get what I'm saying and I own up to it but I really got honestly say with that my words was misconstrued and took it out of context and I was just a jeté TEDWomen accent me the same kind of question but just in a different form how you gonna actually do you have a girlfriend how many girls you build what's the most girls been with at one time wasn't remember like that is the truth though and then I'm just saying myself but we in London talked about this album that I made in London while I'm here going through blah blah you keep asking me about this cuz I think the reason why I didn't wanna I don't want to have to be a person I felt like one I don't wanna have to be like Al Sharpton because that's the truth I rather would I love my responsibility I do well with it at the end of the day after after the issue isn't about cops killing a black kids and just the urban youth it's gonna be a list of that we gotta go down that that's that's just stuff that's not right within our community man and it's just like at the end of the day I kind of felt like it was just a pig on me situation and I and I understand why people who's upset but for the most part I think people are well another good enough to not this day and age that you can't really depict with you you can't really judge something more for what you see it sound like that especially judging my character with me you know what I'm saying I hate to have to be honest and especially man ya need to look at y'all need to be proud of me man like I have a domestic case since 2012 when last time you heard about me busting somebody head in the bottle I'm in chilling I don't fight nobody no more lawsuits I represent as well you get on Sanibel fight not ours don't know Zack and stupid you say I'm saying I ain't even want to be in the camera for that dump less friends I get all everybody was friends dumped dumped and it makes you bitter I'm snapping not but at the same time just I just look at it like no I'm trying to show off another way like back in the days but most get they end out on knocking out I'm Rob that's how I get the egg out you get what I'm saying I feel like there's other ways to utilize your time and we know we have the centuries you go on saying you got it if you want to Wedd look for somebody creative look for something constructive to do look for something to get involved in it like that every time I'm on the way if I'm not looking that beautiful women I'm looking at like the new newest artist newest graphic designer newest why not you gotta find it yourself you gotta be in the field but these are people that come from then got nothing they live with a mom you know five brothers and sisters in the two-bedroom apartment it'd be like that and you put in the morning you helping them you giving them internships with leads into jobs into your company which you established as yourself teaching yourself how to be an entrepreneur because nobody laid down these fundamentals for me nobody dad learning how I did and that's my way of passing it down to show my men like yo listen I ain't gonna feed I'm a teacher I the chef gonna feed he shoveled you get what I'm saying and that's the mentality that God it's that all thing oh gotta come dig it they gotta take they got it they got a clock and they got you know I mean they got it they gotta check in you know what that mean that's a cold for like you got if you gotta feed the hood nah man like I don't have enough money to feed the hood the hood starving starving that's never going as never gonna change but the best thing that I could do is show you how how I did it and what my state of mind was like in my my mentality and my train of thought you know what I'm saying I'm at a loss for words and I'm overwhelmed at this point but more than more than ever how this it's not it's not I'm not upset I'm just really more hurt and it's not about the the comments another day I'm just song I like this country how we look I'm saying how how we perceive how is really going how to energy is management did you didn't you lose a brother to gun violence I did yes I did my brother died on the same block I was born on 116th Street Morningside yo what I'm saying it's like so I understand why you say you know why don't we talk about black-on-black crime my brother was a blood like you know four points tall general named Brady Rickey that man was nothing like me but at the same time you totally different yeah uh he you know me at the same time he was a victim to the streets and all that other cuz that's the path that he chosen I learned from my brother mistakes learned for my pops mistakes hustling going to jail falling off trying to get back going take care of all his kids or like I have no kids yet you know I'm saying like I'm trying to show you you ain't so many condoms room I did I just feel like at this day and age man it's just like the mentality of anybody is just they don't want to think is individuals and that's what I'm trying to courage because it's that individual thought process that could bring us together as a unit people got to think like individuals to come together as a group honestly man no I agree with that we appreciate shut it down over and thank you I know I'm talking too much but like I just need to and you know I'm saying and it's funny cuz you never address room with like you said it hey Amanda what you think Ambrose said you've been in your loominatee I mean you probably might have called me Illuminati back in the day don't front like yeah I get all those same rooms gay Illuminati get off say like surgery I'm gay bleaching Legion you you're I go I heard you to Xia bings got the same skin what you undercover twenty thousand it's a grand post about a slap right now but I've never heard you address rumors before that's how I know you care man is it's not what tell you was early he was ready for night I'm sleepy man like is he really gonna show up I don't know I don't know why would a baby was but he was here not this is something that really was disturbing you and you had to really speak it's not even that it's disturbing just me man it's just it does need to be spoken on some things can't go in silence like you say no I'm saying right but you love black people you love everybody but you do love black it's clear that I hate your black man okay but you know I love my people man yeah I do her I love old people it's about it's about people man we got to stop separating each other with color man but at the end of the day the issues in the neighborhoods of color is the the issues in the neighborhood of urban communities is those issues suburban issues suburban issues and they might be different in extremes I'm just saying man across the board it's really all about this love man it's all about us coming together and in tranquility and harmony I know that sound cliche but man I was just walking the day and I felt bad about this stuff I'm hearing it some girl came up to me and she I thought she was psychic and she rubbed my face and I was just walking from the stuff and going to my house and so she's just like don't feel bad baby they got you all wrong young chick and you know I mean gave me a hug I was like thank you so much I'm saying you know how much the smile brighten up somebody day and a hug a little bit of love so you know express some love man I mean the one thing you won't be able to get from this interview what would it be a lot of things man it wasn't just one topic but uh I wasn't trying to just promote individualism at all you know what I'm saying I do want people to think as individuals but more than ever man I just I want I want peace in love man that's just that's it it's love man honestly and you know obviously like man even even with you guys I I can understand your position I mean it I you seem like a smart man obviously cuz nobody really jumped out the window to really be like artists because most people y'all know me well enough to go I don't really sound like that man and I'm saying so that's why I'm here to be like this is what's up you know what I mean I hate to have to be in this position but it is what it is they put me up for it I'm just like man an I gotta let Flocka live miss me with them bro I got to do with that man nah bro so you did the UH the joint with I'm Alicia Keys the 23 joint mm-hmm saying that you know 20 ways for a black man to die in a row so that shows you can't but sure okay what was your way to die you said in that by just asking for some help man right mother for help yeah calling for help thank you so much I think um I think it was just funny and coincidental that like you know as soon as I get back to the states I'm dealing with all this and I see what's going on I feel attention I decide to get involved as soon as I decided to get involved it's like shmear campaign right they sure like they saw you in a Alicia Keys video and you're like okay let's put this up I don't know what happened I could only you know at this point I can only what do you do you know who resurfaced it where it came back from what publication put it back out no it wasn't a publication I put it out was like a mean oh yeah now what about the will.i.am song I see they're remaking where is the love like a new version of it and who so who's on it you're on it I don't know if I want to speak out in live okay cuz I was trying to get some insight about it but I didn't know for sure who was on it yeah it's a few people I'm gonna say uh I was just really really honored to be on that track honestly that you know we all wish that like it's like being an artist and being a life or when they made the light Stevie Wonder Michael Jackson we are the world we are the light over it like you know how could you not be a part of that and not just because of those names but just because of that time with that message stood for so that's what I really wanted to manifest with that like I just wanted to kind of you know that was my contribution and like I said you then if you do then be doing I don't say nothing oh hang on he don't give a lot when I do say some off you don't really love so it's just like you didn't you do it be damned if you don't so it is what it is you know when it's back in one cancels out the other like they forget you was on the 23 with Alicia Keys I don't know you're doing that empowerment song with will.i.am you need to stop doing print interviews man that was a year ago work okay they're good as you can see but I mean I'm on damnit ever your favorite magazine cover I got to pray I'm a model now they said the Republicans reached out to you to be happy Republicans what oh yeah yeah sort of a Trump wife thing this morning whoa yeah she's just Fanning Michelle Obama's speeches apparently but we appreciate you for coming up and clearing everything on thank you guys preciate shot Tom man for romance and love it's at Rocky's The Breakfast Club good morning the breakfast go every weekday morning tune in
