In this 1944 interview, film star Anna May Wong  describes how she supported the war effort by   entertaining the troops. Inspired by her 1943  visit to segregated military bases in Nebraska,   where she shared stories with Black soldiers,  Wong joined the USO camp shows the following   summer. Her tour took her across American  bases in the north, extending her visits   to Allied installations from Edmonton,  Canada, almost to the Arctic Circle.
