A WORLD BETRAYED DLC for TOTAL WAR : THREE KINGDOMS

a world betrayed is the new DLC for Total War three kingdoms that allows you to take control of the warlords of the era at a seminal moment in history and brings another chapter of the romance of the three kingdoms era to life but what's actually included in this DLC well a world betray focuses on a new generation of warlords taking power and their attempts at creating their own dynasties as well as working through some pre-existing daddy issues its name comes from a famous quote attributed to sow sow that he would rather betray the world than see it betray him which means you'll get a new starting date of AD 194 to get betraying with and with this comes a rearranging of ancient China to reflect who owns what this leaves you with 13 playable factions in the new starting date sau sau Liu Bei yoon-soo called wrong Eun cha gongsan zone Chong yang Jones young ma Tong rubião and a new guide we'll get to in a minute you'll notice most haven't moved terribly far and instead now start with significant territories under their control and a few technologies already researched the real reason you'll actually be interested in this DLC is that it adds unique campaign mechanics and game starts for the peerless warrior Lupu and the daring general swing su narubu and sinsa have both already been available to join your faction in the base game but this marks the first time you can play as them from a campaign start for those that don't know boo is the ancient Chinese Achilles or the equivalent of the rock in the modern world a legendary warrior who is absolutely ridonculous in battle but with a tendency to switch sides at random points whose personality that charges headlong into combat doesn't actually mesh well with the politics of the era and at the start of Liu boos campaign you'll find him locked in combat with South Sal's main army so get ready to fight your way out of the Principality of Qin and then regroup your forces for the inevitable showdown with sau sau and if you're a Telugu fan you'll want to pick up the DLC as Creative Assembly has already stated this is the only DLC where dubu will be a playable faction lure booze new faction mechanic has two parts the first is momentum and is fueled by lure booze seeking out and defeating enemy characters each time you lay the SmackDown it adds points to momentum which gives a huge boost to an array of campaign bus but like all aggression based mechanics and total war games it slowly decays over time so you'll need to keep moving forward and find new people to keep playing the people's elbow on but there is a trade-off to this system Luo booze personal victories over enemy generals are tracked in the game and while each victory increases his own power it also raises the jealousy and suspicion of those around him take out too many legendary Lords and you'll have problems recruiting and keeping good generals of your own the second part of the booze mechanic is his greatest warrior panel which works like agent 47s hit list where it names all the legendary warriors of the Three Kingdoms period and tells you flat-out that if you kill them you'll get permanent bonuses for your faction so get to tracking them down and do what lubu does best a similar system exists in total world Warhammer to where when you kill legendary Lords you gain permanent buffs to your faction here though it's been more fully fleshed out as a mechanic booboo also has been given new story events so you can experience the historic conflict between Sal Sal and lubu for yourself and you can even roleplay Lou boos notoriously shifting allegiances will you join your BAE or betray him and when you become an insufferable d-bag death machine will your generals also betray you helping you fight your way to victory will be too hard-hitting high aggression units camp crushers who are two-handed sword infantry that negate all cavalry charges and instill fear in whoever you attack with them because who wouldn't so rule themselves when charged by unit all swinging six foot long dragon slayers and flying Raiders armoured shock cavalry who scare the daylights at him anyone they encounter while having higher weapon damage and morale than your average cavalry both of which appeal to Lou boos aggressive play style which will help you to raise your peoples eyebrow and lay the Lubar hurt on every other legendary Lord and their roody-poo candy backsides with such an epic Lord as a headliner you can't help but feel bad for whoever CA chose to offer opposite this beast with three fathers but luckily swin sue was reckless rowdy and extremely popular in his own time and represents the absolute best this southern China has to offer but like all capable likeable leaders he starts his campaign as the vassal of a decadent and corrupt year shoe stuck as his foot Lackey likes winces father sweat Jin before him in swin Sue's campaign you'll expand across the south of China and eventually be forced to decide who really has the right to rule it and if you'll rebelled against your current overlord you and Shu along the way you'll use swin sus to faction mechanics the legacy of Wu gives us wince uh a list of ambitions to aspire to and as he reaches these goals it grants permanent bonuses to your faction as you conquer lands in the south gather legendary characters to you and take revenge for your father's death you'll craft a legacy of power that will reverberate through history but ambition comes at a price swin sus reckless behavior may help him expand his kingdom with unmatched speed and ease but the same reckless luck that keeps him alive won't last forever and if his luck runs out swin son dies and you can only prolong this inevitable outcome by completing his ambitions and delay death for another day swin sus story follows his unbridled ambitions to conquer the South of China and focuses on his conflict with the white tiger Yan pahu and later Yin Xiu and as you proved your worth you'll gain story events were soon Jin's old generals return to your faction to offer their aid the two unique units you'll use in their conquest are the tiger guard a wood tr5 heavy spear infantry who reflect all cavalry damage and the handmade guard and earth tier 4 medium sword cavalry unit inspired by the personal bodyguard of swing saw sister swing wren both of these new units give the guard ability to your general which allows a whopping 30% damage reduction in the heat of battle and with their help you might see Swinson escaped the same fate as his father and see the kingdom of Wu rise by his own hands the final new character on offer is not actually part of the DLC white tiger yan is a new free Elsi Lord that will be released to everyone regardless of if you've purchased a well portrayed or not the Chinese bandit saber-tooth here in his suite mutton chops of doom begin their campaigns in southeast China and brings with them a rework of the existing bandit factions in the game and a needed rework on how bandits actually unlock technologies yawn by who or white tiger Yan is known for his coalition-building prowess and is able to bring the shine new tribes and even local haunt officials under the wave of his banner in his unique units reflect this wide reach of Confederation you remnant Warriors are metal tier 3 bronze armored sword infantry you tribesmen are wood tier three lights pyramid tree with guerrilla deployment white tiger Raiders are water tier 4 hybrid spear bow infantry with guerrilla deployments talk and even snipe and white tiger warriors are tier 4 metal two-handed axe infantry meaning they pack a really big punch and conclude through nearly anything his two mechanics are shun you camps which gives you an additional minor settlement option that focuses on bandit technology and grants access to even more you tribal units his second mechanic is white tiger Confederation which gains more power based on the size and strength of the coalition's the white tiger is a member of overall he's a very cool looking guy that's sent to cause serious disruptions to swing says southern campaign but most importantly he's freed to anyone on
