A Wedding Toast(or Roast) From My Maid of Honor

thank you Frank you're the last one to sit down okay papa hurry along thank you everyone okay he doesn't care okay oh I got it thank you all right Ali where do I even start when I said yes to being Ali's maid of honor I truly do not know what I was getting into I mean that very seriously I did not know what I was getting into and also I don't think it was a question I think I was commanded to being your maid of honor but this whole thing of planning a wedding is no joke I will tell you right now I know exactly what I'm not going to be doing for my wedding but I learned a lot about who Ali and I are both this year more than ever before she took the time to plan every detail and consider everything that could possibly go wrong including the speech I'm about to give you give me a few tips a few months ago she said to me she was like you know che been doing some research and I was like here we go it usually means that usually means that you got an Instagram or Pinterest if I'm correct and she goes and every single speech where the maid of honor is like really good she doesn't have a script or did my usual iral that I've been doing for the past 11 months and we moved on and then she adds and I'm also really worried around me and ever hello engagement party weekend all I have to say on hello okay but Ally you got one of your voices I don't have a I'm just sorry I had up please hold okay so on that note I'd like to officially welcome everybody to the biggest event in everyone's life here at least an ally sighs my name is J and I am Ally little sister little years wise not height wise I am her little sister slash service I am also known as the emotional Vince a family member so and effectively after my mom and dad saying something I am so this past year this factor I have been a Lee's personal stylist opinion giver friend enemy and punching bags you name it this year eyes I pin it for sure when I say I've learned a lot about who Ali and I are I mean that Ali or I personally could care less what the difference between a peony and a garden roses but Ali does and I could care less but the effect of having a clear candle motive is as opposed to and I can't even say this word mercury candle motive is but you do Ali I know you know the big conversation but let me tell you something Ali also has impeccable taste as my mom and Ali did an amazing job just being everyone oh we did it Ally we did it so this is when I have to read them sorry I'm not going to be perfect speech but I know my sister and I know that she will always be the same Ali from when we were little she was always the strong fierce sassy knew what she wanted little girl and I could her eyes you could say was the exact opposite I was coupling I was timid shy anxious and being only 13 months younger was very comfortable seeing in Ali's loud attention loving shadow and I know what most of you are thinking how did she turn into this amazing person that is today well first of all thank you and this and secondly the answer to that is Ali when we are a little our mom had a little battle with breast cancer and you can probably only imagine how anxious I got during this time but Ali did it she was strong caring and proved that she was a true leader she took care of me and my little sister stuck up for me and knew what was to make before I did I am Who I am today because I had Ali to look up to when I was little I can honestly say I would be a completely different person if it weren't for her that being said Ali did disappear on me when we were growing up took off she went out and got hurt all the social life I saw so life like no other it involves stealing some cars leaking out and definitely enlistments is being grounded that you seem to always get out of always throwing so long we grew far and far apart until one day randomly she started talking to me about this guy that's happened to be seeing who happened to be named Trevor Cohen and I remember to say perfectly well because Ali never talked about her social life or her guys that she was dating I don't know whatever she never talked about it I was especially there her little sister and I and what she said was well this guy's kind of annoying like he where to god she's like really posh and although I like him and she honestly did it but we all know here obviously the 200% fell in love with him and it took next to no time at all she was attached to the hip just like he was he was a brother to me from day one they seemed like they had been dating for years they were dating for only like one week and he was over at my house sleeping in his underwear I'll never forget a cover I'll never let you forget it and I knew in the back of my head that you were going to be around for a very long time if not forever there was something about how comfortable you two were from the very beginning and okay I got it Trevor I can honestly say truly you brought my sister back to me and I'm forever grateful to you that you've embraced our family and loved every single one of us we are crazy loud obnoxious and Carly is for sure so annoying super annoying we know but you fit right in and you've totally embraced us and we absolutely love you and now I have two older brothers named Trevor who else can say that oh okay I'm going to wrap it up I feel like I've been here for a long time so I thought I would take this time to offer a few words of relationship advice you know since I'm singable live with my parents um simmer down there are three things that I try to keep in the back of my head every single day to live a better life and I thought you two could benefit from youth I guess everybody can let's all just have a therapy session first things first when you are in an argument and I know this rarely happens between you down and you both think you're right also actually it's not rare at all you both think you're right all the time sometimes and this is the best piece of advice I've ever gotten it's better to have peace than to be right secondly it's very important in our world especially today to spread kindness to those around you whether it's with your with each other or just random people be kind to one another and lastly always always always stay close to your family friends family herb not family colleagues and people will come and go in life but family is forever so always stay close to us I especially need it and you dude my life so cheers everybody raise your glasses to the couple of the decade ally and Trevor I love you both very much thank you [Applause] [Music]
