A View to Oxford | Oxford Brookes University

hi my name is Casey I've lived in the city for three years studying law at Oxford Brookes and this is a view to Oxford this is Cowley Road full of great restaurants and bars to socialize with friends and it also hosts the annual Cowley Road carnival every July one really popular pastime and Oxygen's to go punting and you can do that here at the maudlin bridge boathouse so we're here at the Oxford Botanic Gardens which is located in the city centre and if you're a brook student like me then you're able to get in for free Oxford is known for its architecture and historic building so it's a great place to go sightseeing by yourself or to bring your friends and family [Music] now we're at the varsity club which has a lovely rooftop bar and it's a great place to get lunch and have a few drinks [Music] this is the cupboard market which you can find on the high street and it's home to lots of restaurants bakeries and small boutiques follow me the West Gate is a central hub for shopping eating and it has great social spaces [Music] if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city center you can head down to Jericho there's lots of cool bars and places to eat and it's only a 5-minute walk away one of my favorite places to go in Oxford is the Ashmolean the Museum of Art and archaeology it's also the world's first University Museum let's take a look [Music] after the Ashmolean if you're still on a museum hype then you can always check out the Natural History Museum or the Pitt rivers museum let's go explore [Music] that's all from me today there are plenty more sites and attractions to see that I haven't quite covered but I hope you enjoyed a view to Oxford [Music]
