A Truck Driver Tried To Push Me // I Went Slower

all right well attempt today is 85 degrees tomorrow's supposed to be 83 next day is supposed to be 86 and then the following three days we're in for another Heat Wave it looks like upper 90s to um probably like 100 102. it's been kind of a warm warm summer Texas I'm sorry I I say it's warm here but Texas man I feel sorry for you guys it's been triple digits all summer and you guys actually I think have our humidity down there if I remember right for a little bit more now just because we have the corn fields we're going to be running our same loads down and back and forth from Kansas back up to the city so we're not going to be too far from home so if things go bad I can drop him off yeah Opie's gonna go with us this week we're going to do the normal right now we're going to run down to the grocery store stock the truck up with some food stop by Mom and Dad's say hard to lose and then we're going on our way [Music] right [Music] all right get your rope why don't you get something we can throw get the Rope so we're just chilling out here watching uh Disney Junior or is there a kid here somewhere and what's the plan there Mom oh okay [Music] there's a little walk day Dave don't make him walk s going golf cart rides you're gonna get his shoes dad what a spoiled kid all right we got the food done we got our hellos and bye-byes to Mom and Dad and uh horse Rosie now I'm gonna swing back by the house I'm gonna grab the German we're gonna hit the road that just looks weird absolutely nothing back here whatsoever it's almost like a person's preparing to do something [Music] foreign you have the old Kingpin a little grease there well we had to wait a little bit for this trailer I am perfectly glad it happened though I wanted a nap hadn't he started my week yet and I needed a nap if you haven't guessed it yet we're going back down to Topeka Kansas why isn't that one working give me a moment I know some of you think I'm nuts but it's a simple ground issue once you hook the truck up especially if you greased it maybe you just need to pull her ahead a little bit and wiggle and wall going it's your ground out on that fifth wheel and all your light to work just dandy but like I was telling you we are in route for Topeka Kansas and like always the trailer wasn't quite ready when I thought it was going to be this time though I welcome bent with open arms because I got up here in the city and I was kind of tired my car can be tired dude you haven't started your week but I was kind of tired so I took a nap we'll be down there sometime in the middle of the night the sun won't be up yet maybe we do need to stop and get the truck washed up but other than that I think we're beating the sun pretty sure we're beating the Sun thank you the German missed out on his cheeseburgers last week when he wasn't with us so we got to get him some cheeseburgers I think he should be happy kind of shocked we actually got here and they were open they were supposed to be closed like five minutes ago not only were they open but the lobby was still open that's what's rare either Which Way Missouri Valley Iowa is where we're at right now just off of Interstate 29. you want some of that up finger finger finger finger finger we're doing this one-handed yeah yeah there's fingers in there there's definitely fingers and slowed down good Lord dog you act like you've never had one yeah it's been a while oh calm down you'll be okay only one where's my other one it's in the truck you're getting here in a second it's right over there okay I'm ready to go back to the truck now no you're not we gotta walk around a little bit and you get your voice is for me sure do sound Goofy it's because I'm a weirdo [Music] [Music] that is just flat out awesome we're in Council Bluffs Iowa right now Interstate 29 Northbound and southbound is completely opened up it looks like they're still working on Interstate 480 over in that neck of the woods but I've been saying this for years the construction Crews they have working down here Next To None they are just amazing the work they've done this Interstate 29 and Interstate 80 going through town is Leaps and Bounds better than what it was five years ago 100 percent well worth the work worth the patience worth the going around it's just phenomenal [Music] you know what the cute part is you guys probably thought you were going to make an entire video without Kurt hitting tires with a hammer nope you know how a farmer will complain about rain it doesn't matter if you get too much rain or too little rain that most farmers are going to talk about that when you're sitting around drinking coffee you know what truck drivers are going to talk about fuel yeah we're going to talk about fuel we're not going to talk about fuel you guys remember I took a couple months off last winter because fuel hit five dollars a gallon and I wasn't willing to spend that nothing out here pays enough anymore when you're spending over five dollars a gallon in the Midwest I'm gonna work this winter but we just spent 950 dollars to fill the tanks up you're almost at a catch 22 anymore you can stop and get fuel at your mom and Paul truck stops and they're not too bad priced they're still high crazy high but have you seen their shower prices at mom Paws that actually have showers they're almost getting twenty dollars just for a shower now so if you stop by loves well when you fuel up you get a shower or shower credit put onto your points thing but you spend an extra 20 cents a gallon for your fuel I got a hot rod right now trying to push me out of the truck stop let's see here I think we can go slower what's that you said go slower we're already down to five I can go slower I can go down to first gear and crawl too about eight miles down the road now exact same guy he's been sitting there he's starting to Edge ahead a little bit there's no one behind me so I'm not worrying about letting traffic by but he's been trying to pass me for about about three four miles now where are you from Amanda I can't read that's a that's a Canada plate but I don't know which part of Canada it's from come on buddy you almost got it he almost got it keep going get that momentum going get those little hamsters in that thing rolling man throw some carrots in front of them I heard hamsters like carrots Auburn Nebraska at a regular stop here at the Veterans Memorial I've always said it and I'm going to say it again if you get the chance go ahead and stop here this Memorial is next uh it's it's an amazing one what do you think Opie should we get up there and sing a song or maybe you just get up there and sing a song and our sit down here and be your audience where'd you go hey Dad you go up and sing a song I don't want to sing a song these guys's ears would be bleeding they like you better anyway all right 100 miles that's what we got left till we get to Topeka Kansas is 100 miles we're gonna get down here we're gonna drop the trailer off we're gonna hook on to an empty trailer and then we're gonna start heading ways heading this way heading back North I don't know how far we'll see what time it is when we get down there and see if I'm tired if I'm tired we might just go ahead and sleep down there [Music] foreign I guess I forgot to tell you guys which we are hauling 32 000 pounds of fresh and edible chicken don't eat it well it says inedible how come our dogs can eat it then that's always puzzled me you see an edible food but yet you put it in your dog food kind of a goofy thing it's kind of funny we uh we brought down 2014 and we're going to take back 28.16. it doesn't happen all the time why don't we turn the landing gear the right way hit her go down and turn it the right way just to let you guys know it will [Music] well I think you guys are used to the routine from here drop the pole hook on to the empty which is empty and is always a good thing I hope you enjoyed the ride
