lovely couple thanks you all for traveling from near from far to come and celebrate their love with them and with that we'll begin is everyone excited to see these two get married today wow okay okay no doubt let's begin [Music] [Laughter] how did these two wonderful people somehow meet fall in love and choose to spend the rest of their lives together let me give y'all a quick rundown Our Love Story begins how all successful Modern Love Stories begin with a swipe right Alexis was captivated by ezekiel's profile his warm gaze and beautiful eyes catching her attention and little did she know that Ezekiel 2 was drawn to her eyes and Enchanted by her lovely smile their connection began to Blossom as they chatted online and when they met in person just five days later it felt as if they had known each other for a lifetime their first date was a casual movie night to watch Space Jam 2. and as Alexis walked into the theater she spotted a photo booth and thought to herself I wonder if he'd like to take pics with me however uncertainty kept her from asking him but as if he could read her mind Ezekiel turned to her and asked hey I want to take some pics in that Booth over there and in that moment she knew she found the one of course date one leads to day two and days together become weeks together and the pair become inseparable as time went by their bond grew stronger shaped by their shared experiences their commitment to each other and their willingness to overcome any obstacle together it's a story of two people becoming a united front facing life together so it didn't take long for them to know that they had found the one that they wanted to commit their life to and it was just a matter of time for a proposal and this one was straight out of a romance movie Ezekiel hinted at something special planned for Alexis's birthday but little did she know that an adventure of a lifetime was about to unfold as their Uber arrived to the pre-planned destination the driver Loki ruined the surprise says he shouted you guys are riding a helicopter tonight Alexis's head whipped around curiosity and anticipation filling her eyes only to hear Ezekiel confirm yes it is indeed a helicopter ride over the beautiful New York City their hearts raced as they took in the breathtaking views of the city and when they disembarked and standing on Solid Ground Ezekiel dropped to one knee and asked Alexis to be his wife time Stood Still as he proposed and of course she said yes and we couldn't be happier for them today can we get a round of applause [Applause] folks these two have invited you here not only to witness their marriage but for you to understand their relationship for Ezekiel Alexis is a source of peace he loves how she constantly shows him her love and how committed she is to their relationship and he would stop at nothing to make sure she feels loved and supported he appreciates her for her honesty and how authentically she expresses her feelings and above all she's the one who makes him feel loved in countless ways just by being herself and for Alexis Ezekiel is more than just her partner he's her Rock her support system and her biggest cheerleader she admires his enormous heart his willingness to help those who he loves and his unfailing commitment to making sure she feels loved and supported she describes him as not just my man but these two will exchange their vows and Ezekiel will go first it's kind of ironic that we're both standing here today considering the fact that we both kind of gave up on relationships at the time that we met the first phone call conversation that we had lasted like five hours but it felt natural there wasn't that one Awkward Moment instead I felt vulnerable to someone I just met I forget telling you a lot that day that was a bit scary because some of the things that I told you that day um only only a certain amount of people know to this day it was real personal um but but day two is what really opened up my eyes it was the 2021 NBA finals at the time you didn't know anything about basketball but you saw that I was so into it and I loved it so much it was intrigued to learn about the game you watch inside you sat and watched every single game with me of the NBA finals and every second I had a birthday excitement he was like why is he so excited for at the time you didn't know any players but now you know every single one of the players are my favorite team the Phoenix Suns um I'm nervous guys I know it's guys but he was chilling right along with me he was channel right along with me and um the very next day you came up from Jersey City to Poughkeepsie just to watch game two of the NBA finals um I couldn't think of a time when someone was just all about me somebody was just so interested in me without wanting anything with it in return you my fault guys I'm just nervous but I couldn't think of a time where anybody was just so into me without wanting anything in return and um I'm not gonna skip anything I'm not going still but I was skeptical about that I was skeptical about how he was so into me I was sketchable about how every how real everything felt oh but I felt like it was just going to last only two weeks I didn't think it was gonna last forever of but no he didn't change that on that one bit you made me realize that there is people in the world for you I'm really sorry guys I'm really nervous you get what I'm saying because I never thought I'd be up here doing this I swear I never thought I'd be up there doing this but here we are but no you didn't change that one bit you know what I'm saying you didn't change that one bit and I promise to always be the man that you fell in love with you know what I'm saying I promise to ever be honest to you betrayed you and never leave you aside you know what I'm saying I love you so much you're gonna hear that for the rest of your life I am [Music] two years on this very date we started the journey as two strangers who had a feeling that this would be something special on this date we became girlfriend and boyfriend and today we'll continue to be special because I become your wife I read somewhere many years ago that as people there are three versions of ourselves the first version is one that we present to the world people we see at work outside at the store strangers Etc the second version is what we showed to our family and friends those that are a little bit close to us and knows a little bit more the last version of the version we are when we are alone a place where we can truly be ourselves in a space of peace and comfort the moment I knew you were me for me the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with was a day I realized that I am the same version I am alone when I am with you truly at peace and comfort I never imagined I would be up here like you said I never thought I would find anyone that would truly love me for who I am flaws and all and say let's work on this together someone who allowed me to find my voice after so many years and will lay beside me every single night and without Phil asks how do you feel to help me bring all my thoughts into words Ezekiel showed me that true love does exist and his words and his actions day in and day out I'm truly In Awe by what he does for me and those around him that he loves to know ezekiel's story is to know that his life was not easy and to see so much love and so much care so much strength and perseverance come from him is truly inspiring Ezekiel know that I vow to never leave your side about it end he told me once before that when it's our time to leave this earth and we are no longer physically together you knew that our souls will always find each other and that this will last more than a Jersey St Patrick's School okay it was the first day of kindergarten our parents dropped us off and I started talking to this girl and you know we ended up in every class together I'm talking to this girl every day and she's not saying anything back but I'm still talking so one day she's like I'm like what'd you do this weekend she's like I made cookies with my mom and my mom told me not to talk to you I do like I didn't do anything it's just like well my mom told me you know I sent you the school to do your work not to make friends I said okay so it wasn't personal thank you very much okay uh so we literally had every single class together from K to 12. every single special moment in life uh we've been side by side we had matching book bags matching lunch boxes all the works uh simply put you are my very first friend and I don't have any siblings but you are my sister no one can tell me that you're not my sister uh I remember when Alexis and Ezekiel first started dating and one day she came to hang out with me and he immediately FaceTime her he's like baby you okay you okay I was like Zeke I knew Alexis before we knew how to read she is fine she's okay but honestly that's a testament to the type of guy that he is he's an amazing guy he cares about her he's very nurturing and Alexis is very selfless she's thoughtful she's caring and so as we join today to celebrate you becoming one I see each of you in each other right and uh honestly I my wish for you both is to continue living in matrimonial Bliss of course but love one another Without Limits and know that you have a whole village behind you so 8712 days later the story is complete ladies and gentlemen if you will please raise your glasses with me as we chose to be incomparable Mr and Mrs low cheers everything so you can imagine how I felt when I enrolled in daycare in the first face I saw was that same goofy wide-eyed kid as you can imagine we butted heads immediately but when God knows people are meant to be in each other's lives he creates peace and connection even amidst rivalry so fast forward about a year or so I'm moving to a new apartment complex and once again guess who's living just a few feet away from my door that same goofy wide-eyed kid in typical fashion it's oftentimes those that challenge us the most that become who we call true friends and as fate would have it he has become a true brother to me so it is with great pride today that I congratulate Ezekiel on such a large accomplishment and to his wonderful bride I ask only this of you be patient with him even though his head can be as hard as a rock his heart is made of pure gold so try to keep them try to keep from hurting him love him the way he's never been loved and always remember even though you look upon him and see a big strong man which he is he'll always have a trace of that goofy wide-eyed kitten [Applause] so thank you so if we can all raise our glasses please one more time Ezekiel you're my
