A solo camping CATCH AND COOK MISSION. Which fish taste better?

i just got absolutely mauled by ants again not nice at all we have a tin of baked beans who is schooling me [Music] what's going on doggies welcome back to another video we we're going camping so we've got this big cloud which is like bringing this haggard wind i hope it doesn't bring rain but look at this epic little beach i found literally just you and me here right now no one around look at this man let's put that one down in this case i've got something so dope to show you guys later on so um i'm very excited to get that out but right now we're gonna try to set up a fire and make a little bit of a base camp because we've got about half an hour about half an hour to 40 minutes of light left and it is going to be pitch black so um i'm going to quickly run around here start collecting leaves sticks we'll start a little fire and then uh we'll get into the reason why i've just driven three hours across the island in the uh late afternoon and um it'll probably start making sense so i'm gonna start a fire and we'll start and we'll get into it oh come on i'm gonna get a tattoo on my body saying time is ridiculous because time is ridiculous man the day has just flown by and i'm uh starting a fire 20 minutes of sunlight left probably not even 20 minutes good times but good times this is gonna be a hell night oh no wet leaves are not fun leaves that's for sure she's smoking come on baby come on baby oh have we done it i think we've done it oh we can finally sit down and chill for a minute so the fire's pumping you're going to get some nice red hot coals going on there so um i came here tonight and i'm going to sleep here tonight because i don't want to wake up at 2 o'clock in the morning or 1 30 in the morning on the other side of the island drive all the way across to get here for six or five thirty then go fishing so i thought i'll come across here we'll have like a sick little night camping we'll have a beautiful sleep in the tent and um yeah that's that was the plan and because i was like rushing and just chucking everything together making sure i had all my fishing gear for tomorrow i um left the tent at home so we're down here and once again we're gonna be sleeping on the ground on the raincoat hopefully it doesn't rain tonight i think we should be alright there's a couple of dark clouds behind me but a little bit windy that'll keep the mosquitoes away but um we're stepping it up tonight we have got check this out a little bit a little bit of a change tonight we've got a couple of cold beers and for dinner we have a tin of baked beans now i haven't eaten canned food in like five years like seriously i usually try to catch food catch fish and eat it this is the first time i'll be eating like baked beans or any kind of canned food literally for years so i'm pretty frothed actually the only thing is we don't have the tent which sucks but um and i'm already i'm already vibing on this this is sick and i can't wait to show you guys what's in this box it is gonna be it's a game changer it's an absolute game changer so we'll crack that box open in a minute i'm gonna sit here have a beer just chill out for a minute and then we'll um how can we start cooking some baked veins up oh it's like it's like it's ant season right now like i just went up there to go try to find some big wood for the fire tonight and um i just got absolutely mauled by ants again it's like this just answer following me or anyway let's crack this box open before it gets pitch black and um i'll show you guys what's inside boom all right this might give it away so the guys at olight have sent us this this torch and one more and um all right this thing is just insane first of all look at the packaging it's like it's like a gun case man it's psycho it's solid but what's inside is what gets me excited check this out you have got to be kidding me this is possibly one of the gnarliest torches i've ever used so i had to play with this thing last night and um well it is psycho so when it gets dark i'm gonna turn this thing on we'll have a play like just look at this for a second it's just it's insane so uh this is called the javelin javelin turbo and this thing is just a it's a beast man so that's the first one and we've got one more but i mean look at this it comes with a pouch in this gnarly like it's just gnarly this thing is just a beast so we'll play with that thing later on we've got one more this thing now this thing's a little bit of a game changer so this is called an oh like prune 2. it's a um you can use this thing for multiple reasons it's a head torch and it's also a uh just a normal torch but look at just just stop and look at this would you this thing this is gnarly so it comes in a pretty sick packet in here we've got our head strap which i'll show you guys i'll plug the torch in when it gets really dark we'll have a play we'll go for a wander but i mean this is the head strap super good quality and i think the thing that is really dope is the um the way that you can charge these torches both torches have this usb port connected to this magnet right so you can just snap that on this little light here goes green or red when it's charged or it's charging it is it's gnarly so this is like a clip you can take this clip on or off there it is with the clip off we'll slide him into our headlight strap here and we are going to go on a serious firewood hunting mission later on i reckon this thing is gnarly very very happy with this headlight and this one well you guys will just see for yourself this thing it's off its head look at this man i don't even know you could get baked beans in indonesia but i found them and uh i'm frothing right now so i'm gonna put them here oh yeah that's gonna not take long it's not gonna take long at all but there they are look at him go that's my dinner for the night yes is it dark enough to play without toys yet i think it is oh you should smell these baked beans they're like perfectly bubbling away and i reckon if you could smell it you'd be bloody jealous because it smells so good it's just about it's just starting to rain which is um it's gonna make for an interesting night man because i forgot my tent and well i'm not going to be sleeping on the floor in the rain i have no time to make a shelter so i really hope it's just a small cloud i hope it's not going to piss down tonight but um we'll see well let's start playing with our toys so the light that's on my head right now it's called a paroon too and i'm not going to go too much into the details of these torches because um look they're just a sick torch and first of all what i want to say this is our first review on the channel first review that i've ever done on anything and um i'll only ever do a review on something if i believe in it like i'll never try to make a buck out of something if i don't truly believe believe that it's good or it's like good quality so when these guys hit me up i was like oh let me have a look i had a look and i was like 100 i'd love to show you guys this because i mean at the end of the day this is going to help you out as much as it helps me and they are ridiculously good so a little bit of a little bit about it it throws 166 meters this headlight so you do this boom you're probably blind right now but 166 meters is throw the beam which is like dude it's just it's it's actually insane how bright this thing is and if you want a couple of a couple of more little things about it it's got a 200 and 2 500 lumens and it's got a ridiculous battery life like i'm not going to go too much into it you guys will see for yourself and then this big bad boy well this thing's a beast man so this is how it looks it's just a psycho looking torch you could probably melt your next or neighbor's eyes out with it um i think this thing throws like a kilometer it says somewhere here that it's like the beam when you shoot the beam it goes a kilometer and it's like the brightest torch i've ever seen in my life so um let's go have a play we'll go for a little bit of a walk we'll have a play with them and um i mean i'm impressed man they're they're real good they're done and um the fire's looking pretty sad we just had like a massive not a massive downpour with rain but a solid downfall of rain so uh it's gonna be an absolutely interesting night but the bike beans are looking good that's i'm not even going to try to touch that but they're looking i'm excited about this all right let's go it's time so obviously the boxes are soaking wet because it just pissed down with rain but both of these torches are waterproof which is pretty dope and um we'll play with this one first because this thing is like it looks like i've just bought a pistol off of i don't know it is just the maddest packaging but let's play with this thing first so this thing is the java lot turbo and um well it's a turbo man so you hit this button you get a green light which means 100 to 60 then it goes orange then it goes red when it's nearly flat so this bad boy has got four settings i think you hit it you hold it once you've got this like moonlight setting which is like uh walking around the camp you don't burn your girlfriend's eyes out then you get one more setting which is like all right we can start seeing a few things there's a rabbit over there yep next setting boost what's this man this is psycho and then you've got this so this is turbo and um i will tell you what that beam throws 1 300 meters man it's insane so you've got this switch here which is pretty dark or you've got a back switch here so i can just do this flick him off one little hit here you've got that moonlight one and then you click it fully in and you've got this um well this torch is probably the best torch i've ever i've ever held in my hand i'm not just saying that like honestly look at this beam it's shooting it's lights up everything over there so it's a uh man this is a game changer for me i'm going to be carrying this thing everywhere i go especially if you're like a hunter like if you were like some sort of a hunting dude this thing is a game changer so bright look at this it's actually crazy man all right let's put this bad boy away i am very very impressed by this thing it's actually like uh i don't know if the camera does it justice i hope it does but it's um man it's an insanely bright torch so we'll put this bad boy away and we'll uh we'll get out this little baby all right let's check out this second torch so this one is the prune too and this is personally something that i'm gonna um this is something that's gonna stay in my bag 24 7. so the head strap for it is extremely comfortable very well made it's got a five-year warranty and um well this thing just speaks for itself so it's got a couple of settings you can hit it once for this like same thing walk around camp just a chilled mode you can hold it down again it goes a little bit brighter i think that's low or medium which is nice for camp again all right that's serious this is seriously bright for a little torch like that and then you've got one more mode which is turbo mode so you hold it down again no no double tap it actually and then you get this now that is dude this is insane this is a tiny little torch and um it's lighting up absolutely everything right now look at it so this is something that i'm gonna use a lot all the time is this little sucker here so um insane little torch so epic comfortable head strap this is all right let's do this doggie you look at him guys flying this is second cast of the morning you've got to be kidding me this is crazy we're gone again ready one two three four five there it is oh this is ridiculous oh we got jumping fish it's flying all right guys good morning so um i had a haggard sleep last night i don't even want to talk about it but um right now the sun's just rising sun's just risen and um first cast amberjack second cast monkey mahi third cast amberjack and um oh my god it's gonna be one of those days which is just on fire so captain just lost the hell one i lost the monkey before so um it's going to be a good day i can feel it three casts three fish so um oh my god look at him jumping over here there's fish everywhere yeah look at that fish jump yeah bruh [Music] there it is oh no oh oh no the gap has just gone overboard beautiful fish fast good job so i've just changed up i've just changed the setup i was using i've just put a bit of bait out and as soon as that bait hit the water whoa little mayhe has come to play this is way too good but i'm just going to reap this fella in look at them all oh brah put your bait down there all right it's rough it's wet and there are dollies everywhere so this is what we come for it's a little dolphin fish or mahi mahi epic man there's so many look at this doggies this is a hell session we're going to have such a feed around the fire later look at this beautiful little fish absolutely beautiful that's another one this is crazy that bait literally just hit the water little two kilo probably two two and a half kilometers epic little fish look at the colors on him beautiful beautiful fish uh to remember we've only been here for about 40 minutes we've got five or six monkeys so um it's pretty fun i don't know about the noodle rod out here it's way too rough for the noodle rod it's even just hard to sort of fish out of this boat right now but uh the fish are here and um oh we're getting flogged i'm getting vlogged but it is so much fun there you go what a way to start the day it's going to be a bloody interesting one and i am so pissing right now this is too good to be true man this is it's just insane watch this fish jump ready it's going to launch any second oh no it's around my line oh jesus christ oh my gosh i was just trying to untangle this line and then this one wow that thing hit like a road train oh this is the best morning this thing's giving me hell bro it's not even a big fish oh my goodness oh no whoa they're slowly getting bigger so there's another one that thing absolutely just gave me absolute help we're blind tangles we had rods going everywhere but i mean look how beautiful these fish are so nice man this is such a fun morning all right so this is pretty much what we're doing we're just putting uh like a fillet of mackerel on and then all you do is you just lob it out free run the line just let the right line free run like this and um man it doesn't take long five four three two one boom just like that you've got a fish oh on a rainbow runner this is a different one this is honestly one of the most insane sessions it's literally every time a bait hits the water it just gets smoked so i just got a rainbow runner i'll show you what they look like beautiful eating fish real good so that there is a rainbow runner beautiful little fish really really good eating so um i reckon we're going to probably put this thing on the fire tonight lovely fish beautiful beautiful eating so and it's not big but and they go hard let's see if we can get a couple more this is insane dude oh there he is oh big jump so much fun i could do this all day full-on flying fish a better one absolutely smoked it there he is another beautiful little mahi such a nice fish look at the colors i'll show you the lure that we got that on because that was a mad lure the captain just made the lure in like three minutes three seconds so i'll show you the lure in a minute that's such a nice fish man so this is the lure that i'm talking about this is what we're getting the mahi on now so all he does is wrap the fishing line around this bit of i don't even know what this is it's like colored nylon and then i'm just digging it slowly digging it in the water and um this thing is working absolute tree right now there we go look at this lure man this lure is dynamite doggies look how beautiful these fish are such a sick day man so we've both just lost both of those lures and that's all that we've got they are working like they're working like the best lure i've ever seen in my life every time we troll around this bad we're getting smoked and we both just lost our lures exactly the same time no why man what happened so afraid look my line has just been destroyed because we're catching so many fish the teeth are slowly wearing it away i should have checked it but um damn those two lures were absolute fire and now we don't have any crazy bruh all right we are heading in we are done for the morning so i didn't even record like a quarter of the fish that we caught this morning because it was just literally the fighting in the water in the water full straight away either a rainbow runner or a little mahi-mahi or dolphin fish so and that was an insane session so we've got a pretty long steam back it's going to be a wet soggy ride but um when we get back to the shore i'm only going to take one of these fish he can have the rest he needs to feed his family and sell it to make a bit of money so um we'll take one and i'll see you guys around the fire and we'll uh cook it up for a long bit of lunch because it doesn't come much fresher than that so i'm gonna sock you right back and i'll see you guys around the fire or i don't know i'll see you guys somewhere oh that was sick man what an absolute bloody ripper of a day that was um i cannot complain one little bit that was just it was insane man it was every single bait that hit the water got a fish just about just about every single bait or lure that hit the water got a fish and um man i am blown away so we've got what we're going to do now we're going to do a little bit of a taste test we're going to do a different fish test and i'm going to see what is the best flavor fish because um we've got a little bit of variety now doggies how is this for a bloody kitchen so we found another little base this little bay that i'm standing in now is like two bays away from where we slept last night we slept over there last night um by far it wasn't one of my best sleeps i've ever had but um we got a little bit of shadow i'm actually really tired like i woke up at 3 o'clock this morning to go fishing it's a two and a half hour hour boat drive out to where we wanted to fish so we left super early it was pitch black we drove through the through the morning when it was like dark until we hit the sunrise that's when i started filming just before so um man that was a hell of a session we just had and i'll show you what's on the menu because i am i'm really hungry and i'm really excited to eat this okay so this this fillet here this is a this is mahi mahi this is fresh mahi mahi dolphin fish this is um affiliate of wahoo beautiful little wahoo that we got and this is um oh my god what's it called this is rainbow runner so they've got mahi mahi wahoo rainbow runner we're gonna do the taste test all i'm gonna do is just a little bit of salt a little bit of oil that's it we're not going to do anything fancy to this fish so i want to taste the flavor of the fish so um that's what we're doing a little bit of salt a little bit of oil i'll go chuck a couple more sticks on that fire so it gets all get the gets the coals down and um let's start cooking i am excited and i'm starving so go find a couple more sticks so we're just gonna do like a very very basic sort of cooking system so i've just got two rocks a little rock there and a rock there which is going to um which is going to support our pan like this obviously that's going to be way too hot to cook on so we'll uh we'll get the pan off once those coals go down that's going to be the perfect little cooking platform i've made it nice and level so the pan can sit on there and as soon as those coals go down the oil goes on i am so hungry and really really excited to try these three different flavors of fish so i don't even know if we got the wahoo on camera because it was seriously that much of a day of fishing it was like every single time we put a bait out we got a fish and i just was like i can't record every fish we catch because it's seriously like it would get boring like it would honestly get boring for you guys just to watch it over and over again the same thing so um i didn't record probably 80 of the fish we caught because it was just like like i said every line in the water was a fish bang bang nothing was big probably the biggest one the biggest mahi was about maybe five kilos max five kilos so they were only small fish but it is the beautiful eating size and this fire is the perfect cooking size oh yeah it's actually nice temperature so that's the wahoo this is the mahi in the center and then we've got our beautiful tasty these are really tasty fish this is the um rainbow runner so the rainbow runners on the side there all right i reckon that we're pretty close to being done i definitely don't want to overcook it i'd rather it be undercooked than overcooked so um i don't have any pliers or anything with me right now so we're gonna make a little bit of a makeshift this is risky business oh we got it oh that's gonna work that is gonna work like a dream this is how they're going to execute this taking this hot pan off the rocks because they don't have anything to do with so we'll try to uh do this hey look at this that's looking real good all right we'll leave that there we need to go find ourselves a plate i'm pretty sure we've just found a beautiful plate that's beautiful look at it all right let's get those fish off because they're still going to be those fish will still be cooking on that pan so i want to get them off quickly so we've got our plate comes with a few complimentary snails for an entree a couple of snails there yeah this is going to be killer come on let's get this fish off whew it's hot look at this don't even think about it there we go we'll give that three minutes two minutes to cool down i'll um put that fire out mate i'm that excited to eat this fish so it's going to be really interesting to see the three different types of fish and if they have a different flavor so these fish were all caught out in a thousand metres of water so that each one of these fish the mahi mahi rainbow runner and the um wahoo they're all deep water fish you wouldn't usually see them or catch them like in in a system like where we are cooking here they're way out deep water fish so it's going to be very interesting to see if there is a flavour difference and um first thing i've eaten all day and my i couldn't want to eat anything else so i'm not even going to let it cool down let's just dig in right now because i'm starving and um i'm bloody excited excuse me i'm coming in hot all right here we go so the first fish what are we gonna try first let's try the wahoo so it's beautiful white meat like it's just it's gonna be good a little bit of salt a little bit of um oil that's it no it's so good so this is the um rainbow runner i remember when i was filing these fish today the rainbow runner did not smell like i think it would be a beautiful fish like for sashimi sashimi sashimi sashimi i think it would be a great fish for that because it didn't smell and [Music] pretty hard to tell the difference to be honest all right the third and final fish mahima here here we go beautiful chunk again nice white mate oh that's definitely different that is a lot softer than these two pieces of fish and the wahoo and the mahi mahi were the same size cooked at the same time taken off at the same time and the main actually would be my peak of all three that's why we've got the mahi mahi on the back of the air dog it's [ __ ] shirt that's really good all right so in my professional opinion without the professional part i would say mahi-mahi number one and then rainbow runner and the wahoo they can put the boxing gloves on and fight over second and third because they pretty much taste exactly the same to me but this had a little bit of a stand out compared to the other two so mahi mahi takes the win and um that was an absolute sick little adventure sick day i had a hell time i hope you guys had a good time too and um i guess i'll see in the next video thanks for all the support thanks for being mad dogs and um i'll
