A NEW Approach to Cat Litter (No more LITTER Tracking!) | The Cat Butler

I am a cat owner like you and for the longest  time my approach was googling the best cat litter   and hoping that it would resolve  all my cat litter problems. I tried pine litter Grass Litter None resolved my cat litter problems. I realized I needed a new approach  to dealing with cat litter. Then it dawned on me. It is not all about cat litter. Yes cat litter is important but it is about finding the best Cat Litter System. You want a litter box that complements your cat litter. Today I want to share with you a Cat Litter  System that will minimize cat litter tracking, mask smelly odors, and be easy to clean. I am the Cat Butler. The idea of  sliding down a firepole to get to the   toilet might not excite most of us human  beings, but cats don’t seem to mind. A top entry litter box can minimize litter  tracking by keeping all the litter under the lid.   Tiny grains of litter often stick to the paws of  our cats, which means litter is tracked all over   the floor after they are done with the restroom.  Most top entry litter boxes also have the lid   double as a walk-off mat to catch any stray kernels. A covered box also keeps odors where they belong...inside the box! Kittens may struggle with a top entry litter  box. I was able to transition my kittens using   the ModKat XL Litter Box, which has a top entry  and side entrance. You can then remove the side   entrance after the kittens are old enough. Reusable litter liners make cleaning out the entire litter box  and disposing old litter a breeze. You won't have to scrub your litter box clean as often. Choosing the right cat litter can be overwhelming. I am going to detail the thought process of choosing the right litter. To minimize litter tracking, size matters, larger litter pellets track less like pine shown here. The problem with pine? It is not good at masking the smell of cat poop. Because of its large size. It is hard for cats to cover up their poop with pine. To eliminate odors choosing a clumping litter  is the best option as it is a great absorbent   and neutralizes odor very well.   The con is that clumping litter like grass is very light and tracks very easily. Even a top entry litter box does not reduce tracking. This leaves Tofu litter, one of the newer cat litters to hit the market. Made from food grade soy, Tofu litter is environmentally friendly   and soft on your cat’s paws, so they can dig and cover up their poop Clumping is also outstanding! It has amazing odor control  and scooping litter is a breeze. Lastly Tofu litter does not track with  a top entry litter box! The litter is just large enough and does not stick to your cat’s paws. Now I break down the cost of each litter. This is my monthly litter cost using a Modkat XL litter   box. And this litter box is huge. I am not going to sugar coat it. Tofu litter is more expensive than the other options, but the extra cost is definitely  worth the odor control, ease of cleaning, and most importantly no litter tracking!
