- So Stephanie, in your
post, you called yourself a clueless, white mama who
needed help with Haley's hair. Were you worried about any backlash? - I probably should've
been, but I really wasn't. We, since adopting Haley, Uh oh! - I got that. - Thank you. Since adopting Haley, we've had so many of our African-American friends discuss the importance of styling, both just 'cause the hair is
different and culturally. So I was just very aware. I just knew I was missing something. I wasn't getting something right. And I wanted to see what it was. - So, you made this post, then Monica, what made you respond to Stephanie's post? - Well, you know, she was
another mom that needed help. And we don't have all the answers. I have three daughters that have three different textures of hair. So, I just responded to the post and let her know, you
know, different products that she could use. And then she messaged me in Messenger and we started talking back and forth. And she told me that
Haley was two years old. And at that time I was
like, wait a minute, you know, she's two so
it's not like you can just use any kind of
product on a two-year old. I said, hey let me come over. Let me touch her hair. And we got together and I did her hair. And it was really that simple. Just two moms getting together because she needed help with Haley's hair. (clapping) - So, let me ask you Monica and Stephanie, this all went down last November. (Haley babbles) - No, this is the format. (laughter) - That's what we doing. So, you all been in touch ever since. How's your friendship grown
over the last few months? - Well I call it, we've had like a social media type of
relationship that has evolved. Because first, it started on a post. Then, it went to Messenger. Then, we progressed to texting after everything kind of went viral. And now, I definitely consider Stephanie to be a friend even though
it's happened pretty soon. (clapping) - Okay, who is this a picture of? - Those are my five children
and Monica's three girls. - [Monica] And our handsome husbands. - [Haley] There's daddy! - [Stephanie] There's daddy, yeah! - Yeah, that's Isaiah. - And Isaiah, yeah. - That's her. - Yeah, you know them. - So, when you posted and you had no idea. - No, Monica and I had never met before. (Haley babbles) - You know, that's what I said. I tried to tell them last time. All you doin' is sayin'
what I been sayin'. (Haley babbles) - Yeah, all right now. (Haley babbles) (Steve babbles back) (Haley babbles) (baby talk back and forth) - You be quiet yourself. (Haley babbles) You be quiet. Nobody tell me, watch this
right here, look at this. Hey, look, Boom! Right there, ha ha ha! Can't get that can you? - Oh, God. (laughter) (clapping) - Did she just say, oh God? Now she gonna drag the Lord into this. Hey, well listen guys, we wanna make sure that you have everything you need to keep Haley's hair
