A Hidden Tape In My Mom Closet Exposed Her Darkest Secret

hi my name is Francesca and I need to get something off my chest I never thought watching an old tape would change my life forever but it did and now I can't ever go back but that's not the beginning of the story not really so let me fill you in on everything growing up I was a daddy's little girl I never had the best relationship with my mom she's always been so bossy it's super annoying like whenever I want to go out with my friends or even my cousin's she would always be so weird about it like especially with my cousin Christine she would always want Christine to come over to our house instead of letting me go visit my uncle and aunt's house I don't really know why but anyway it caused a lot of arguments recently Christine got a pool for her garden and I so badly wanted to go and visit I had bought a new swimsuit for the summer which was totally cute and I wanted to try it out and see what it was like but my mom said no I really didn't get it at all she couldn't even give a good reason either I just felt like she was trying to ruin my life and I hated it we argued and she got really really mad she was telling me to stop talking back to her and that she knew what was best for me because she's my mom and she's always right bla bla bla in the end she snapped at me and said I was grounded for a week but I didn't care I had already texted Christine and told her I was going to come over to her house anyway like I was just going to listen to what my mom says even when she's totally in the wrong so I waited until my mom went out to the mall to meet a friend and I started to get my stuff together but I needed a bag to fit my swimsuit in my Talon and everything I knew my mom had this super cute and expensive Valentino bag that I thought would look really nice and I was pissed at her so I thought I'd go raid her closet and used that one except when I searched where my mom usually keeps her bags I couldn't find it it was so frustrating and I was really desperate for that bag in particular so I started digging even deeper in the closet that's where I found a box of old videotapes with home videos written on I got a little distracted from my search because I'd never watched any videos of myself growing up before so I popped it into my mom's old VCR machine and I started watching it while I searched for the back it looked like a regular kid's birthday party I heard a few of my relatives on the screen say happy birthday Francesca and I looked up from my search to see that it was me on the screen I could have only been about four and I was so excited to see myself on camera that I forgot about the back search and I started to watch the video there was a clown and balloon animals and cake I saw all my cousins my friends my grandparents and my dad but my mom wasn't anywhere to be seen at all at least until it was time to blow out the candles on the cake then I caught a glimpse of my mom's hair but it wasn't clear where she was I rewound the tape and watched it again more closely it was my mom all right I could see her reflection in the mirror in the background and oh my god my mom was kissing some random man I couldn't believe it it definitely wasn't my dad as I could see him standing next to me while I was blowing out the candles on the cake what the hell I couldn't believe my mom would do this I was so mad and I had no idea what to do I know I probably shouldn't have told anyone this but I really needed to talk to someone I texted my best friend Nicole explaining everything that I'd seen she agreed it was totally weird and that I was right to be freaking out over it after all it look like my mom was a cheater as I texted Nicole the birthday party on screen ended and the tape changed to another family event it was my grandparents 40th anniversary party I couldn't stop watching the tape I needed to know if there was anything else my mom had been hiding from me in the background of the video I could see my mom sitting in between my dad and my uncle my dad's brother everything seemed normal at first until at one point in the video I saw my mom and my uncle smile at one another and then he leaned in and whispered something in my mom's ear my mom giggled and then left the table a few seconds later my uncle left the table and followed her in the same direction it was all so bizarre did my uncle know something I didn't what were they doing together at my grandparents anniversary party did he know about my mom cheating on my dad
