I guess this video version was edited for tv? Love the song but for some reason on some streaming platforms (looking at you, Pandora) the version they use sounds re-recorded and just doesn’t have the feel that the original one does.

Anyway, too bad this band gets shit in for its look versus its sound. I saw them play the mile 1 marker at the Nike Run Hit Wonder 10k in L.A. in the early 2000’s. Singer was the only original member. A couple of Hispanic-looking dudes backing him. Then I saw them again in San Antonio at a smallish club in 2013—looked like same members as the Nike gig. They’re now playing a bigger club in San Antonio pretty soon so might go check them out again.
