my name is catherine zadeh and i'm a jewelry designer i feel like i'm a global citizen of the world i was born in iran grew up in paris and came to america almost 30 years ago and i've been living in new york raised my three wonderful daughters and been working here ever since today is an exciting day barney's picked up the line we have so much to do hi chris hi guys hi richard i always knew i was a designer and i knew that i would have to struggle for it because nobody believed in me and i always thought i'm gonna show you that i can do this this is my ohises this is where i work it's chaotic to a lot of people but this is how i can function i became a jewelry designer by accident i just designed these rings for fun and someone saw the rings and said these are gorgeous you should really sell them to stores and who do i call first birthday of goodman the rose gold is spectacular but uh coco you have to work on this yeah this is amazing my vendors are my team every day i come here and it's like an orchestra that i am to conduct there's so much work to be done here it's coming along i'm working on another variation that will have diamonds i have kept my business very small because i don't want to manage people i want to design and then we're going to engrave just the saddle this is the laser engraving machine and we're going to make the logo thank you so much paul i'm going to have you polish one in high polish and one in hardware so these are the pieces that we got this morning from coco what do you think of them that's a great idea you are the best designers i ever met yeah right my aesthetic is all about simplicity to be able to design something simple is the most difficult this journey was truly unpredictable i never expected to be where i am today each piece by itself doesn't make sense but somehow when you put all the pieces of the puzzle together you see this entire picture that you say wow it's just perfect you
