for he has made me glad and we are now church where we believe you right now should affect you every day and we are up doing the intro rather than the worship team because there's a mind that we want you to have going into praise and worship we've been saying that anywhere there is an expectation it is the breeding ground for miracles so i don't want you to feel like i'm going to praise today because i'm supposed to give guys some praise i'm going to worship because i'm supposed to worship i want you to get that one thing in your mind that nobody can do for you but god himself and you're saying pastor nate i got it in my mind and i'm going to worship and i'm going to praise and we believe that the lord will meet you right where you are you all ready to worship get ready let's go good when our back was against the wall when we got that report lord how when we didn't know if it was going to work together but lord you made it work together for our good you made a way and god we thank you that you are the same yesterday today and forevermore so lord we ask you to have your godlike way god somebody needs you to make a way right now god and we thank you lord that victory is ours victory today is ours lord we get in your presence and we can tell what's ever worrying us god whatever has caused us to fear to get deep behind us because victory today is ours god and we're not just talking about where we're standing right now you made away god but lord we are opening our minds god and we believe that our praise is opening doors no man can shut it's making ways out of no ways god is healing bodies right now in the name of jesus lord and we're saying we're seeing ourselves oh lord we're standing here only because you made a way and it's in jesus name we pray amen and drop your neighbor's hands if you've got somebody's hand if you're not just put your hands together and open up your mouth and give the lord some praise anybody glad that god made a way anybody glad that he is a waymaker he is a miracle worker lord that is who you are and we want to greet you name by name and person by person to now church my name is pastor nate and this is the one and only lady t the first all your benefits towards me and so we want everybody to be a cheer forgiver said they don't want anybody to give under compulsion or grudgingly god loves a cheerful giver there's an attitude he's looking for he's looking for a cheerful giver and he's looking for people to give in faith we believe the seed that you sow doesn't leave your life but it goes into your future amen you are sowing in good ground and we want to thank everybody just for your generosity and your giving even during this pandemic even during cobot 19 we have still been able to do um um church here at now church when we they're too uh afraid to ask for they don't even think it's possible god let them know that with you all things are possible if they just believe god we came this morning gathered in your name lord not just because it's something that we do on sunday but god we believe if we can just get them in the presence of the lord god they will believe not in a pastor not in a church but god believed in you god and we thank you for the honor god that we you have given us to usher them in your presence god so they can see you high and lifted up god we thank you lord now that something they didn't believe they got around a living god and lord now they believe and god we won't take any credit for ourselves for it all belongs to you god we just thank you for the opportunity to tell them about the greatest person who ever walked the earth and can do anything but fail god we love you honey we praise you in jesus name we pray amen god bless you as you give god bless you as you give as you click working some things out on my behalf anybody believe it you're saying pastor nate i got into the presence of the lord and i believe that this thing is working together for my good anybody ready to get into the word of the lord i got a word that i'm excited about sharing and so we're gonna get your bibles out your ipads your mobile device your laptop whatever uh way that you have to look at the word of god and if you could stand for the reading the word of god it's our custom here now church to stand when we're reading the word because we're saying that the word has first place in our life and i'm saying oh lord we're calling you show yourselves strong we believe that that word that god has spoken over your life the word that you may not even know about but he said i know i have plans for you thus saith the lord we believe that before your mama and your daddy decide to have you god decided to sin you and he sent you with a purpose amen and so if you don't have any of those things that i talked about um to look at the word of god you don't have to worry about it we're going to put it at the bottom of the screen for you i'm learning new concepts about screens and cameras they call them the lower third so i'm just trying to impress y'all they're going to put them on the lower thirds whatever that means it just means the the scripture is going to be on the screen and uh we're going to look at two passive scriptures we're going to look at genesis chapter 32 and we're gonna start reading at verse 22. i tell you what scratch that let's start at john chapter four john chapter four and we're gonna read one passive scripture there in john chapter four we're going to read john chapter 4 verse 24 and then we're gonna read genesis uh chapter two and we're gonna read verses 22 through 32. and i just want to let everybody know that my wife first lady and i we're not first lady really but i've gotten all your texts and your emails and your social media posts i'm glad that you guys are so concerned that you're praying for your pastor and just wanted to make sure that i'm not double minded in all my ways uh who am i cheering for this year you know some of y'all have just been writing bad things on my social media and just trying to figure out am i going for cam am i still with the patriots and calling me trader and then putting scriptures with it and saying a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways and i can't even watch the tampa bay game because if i watch it i get some text even from the mother sister juanita jones sending me texts of of pittsburgh stills things and i have made a choice i have made a choice i'm going to tell y'all what choice i've made right now and i'm firm in my decision i have decided to follow jesus no turning back no turning back jesus is first in my life i made jesus my choice and i'll tell y'all next week by the wind of a jersey if it's the patriots but it's or is tampa bay but please let me and god decide this don't try to sway me to the left or to the right but i got all your insults and all your texts mother juanita jones uh we may vote you off the mother's board for all that pittsburgh stealing stuff you've been sending me uh but that's why i love now church because we you know we say faith family community and y'all make sure we're family and community cause when my team loses you really uh try to remind me that i did not win that weekend amen but let's get into the word of god and we're gonna start at john uh chapter four we're gonna read verse 24 just one passage of scripture and this is jesus and he's talking to the woman at the whale he talks with the samaritan woman they don't even give her a name but they said the samaritan woman and we called her growing up in sunday school the woman at the well amen and so john chapter 4 and verse 24 it says god is spirit and his worshippers must worship him in spirit and in truth and you don't have to hold that john pastor description if you can go back to with me now to genesis chapter 32 this genesis 32 patch description we've gone over there quite a bit at now church amen so we should be kind of familiar with it if you're not and you're saying pastor nade i'm just tuning in for the um first time i'm just getting on this broadcast somebody shared it or invited me that's okay i'll break it down for you you'll see where we're going um in this genesis 32 passive scripture so genesis 32 and uh verse 22 and it reads the head in my bible jacob wrestles with god jacob wrestles with god verse 22 says the night jacob got up and took his two wives his two female servants and his 11 sons and crossed the forward of jabot after he had sent them across the stream he sent over all his possessions so jacob was left alone and a man wrestled with him till day break now jacob is on the run from his brother esau he's kind of gotten away from him but he's got some fear that esau is coming after so he sent all these objects and these people to one place and he's gone by himself and he's just hoping he he's praying he's gonna pray to god that esau doesn't get him it says verse 24 so when jacob was left alone and a man wrestled with him till day break when the man when the man saw that he could not overpower him he touched the socket of jacob's hip so that his hip was rich as he wrestled with the man verse 26 and he says then the man said let me go for it is daybreak but jacob replied i will not let you go unless you bless me some of y'all y'all saying 2020 has done me wrong i'm waiting i'm waiting and i'm ready for 2020 to be over but as much as 2020 has given you trouble you ought to say yup this has been hard but there has to be a blessing in this and i'm not going to let it go until what i'm supposed to get out of this year i get it we talked about i want both of them i want the thing that made me cry and i want the thing that made me praise i want both of them and i'm saying lord i'm telling you it's a blessing in 2020 for you amen the man asked him what is your name jacob he answered then the man said your name will no longer be jacob but israel so there's a ship that's going on the man said your name has been changed and many people wonder is this the angel of the lord is this god who is this amen he says but you have struggled with god and with humans and have overcome it jacob said please tell me your name but he replied why do you ask my name then he blessed him there so jacob called the place penile and saying it is because i saw god face to face and yet my life was spared let's stop right there the title of my message this morning is where did you go where did you where did you go about your his and let me pray for you father we thank you lord right now again that we were able to come into your house and to worship you god i thank you lord that you've afforded me god that you call me and give me the opportunity to speak some spiritual truth god that everybody under the sound of my voice needs to hear god i thank you lord this is a word that you have given to me god so we thank you lord there will be meat on their spiritual bones god and they can be all that you call them to be in jesus name we pray amen you may be seated in the presence of the lord where did you go as i started off when we were looking for the scriptures you can kind of tell even if you're not a sports fan that football season has started and so last week the week before was the first week of football season and so i was talking to my wife i was talking to champ and i said hey is it okay this year if i get the nfl package because i want to see tom brady play and i want to see cam newton play and so is there any way i can get an nfl pack said nate go ahead and get it and so i called some of the men in church and i was trying to get uh a price of how much it costs and how do you do it and my wife being my wife she wanted to search on the computer how to get it and i just called someone to do and say hey what channel is directv directv tv the nfl package and she still wanted to look for it and i found it and one of my boys called me said hey p nate don't buy it this week it's free and i said it's free he said man you ain't got to pay you can see all the games it's 701 2 3 4 and 5 and 6 and then you can go back on the fox 50 and you can look at the game so i said oh man that's cool and then so then the second week of nfl season the same he called me for the game my boy jamal jamal middleton he called me said pna man god is moving i said oh man did y'all get blessed he said no we got blessed i said what happened he said the nfl package is free again this weekend and so i'm sitting down and i'm watching the 4 30 game i'm watching lamar jackson and i'm watching him against the houstons against deshawn waltz watson it was a game i really wanted to see you got two mobile african-american quarterbacks and it was a good game and i'm sitting there and i'm watching it and my family has gone wherever they are and then there was a label that came up on the tv and it says in order to continue to watch you need to pay and i said need to pay did we ever pay and so the first thing they got i i got afraid about is because you know champ holds the checkbook in the house i was like y'all to have one of those kids that download apps that cost and they make they try to act like they were free and i said oh my lord maybe i punched a button and when a direct tv bill is going to come she's going to see it so i got scared and it stood up there and i looked at the game but it shows you a preview of the game but at the bottom i could still see could pay in order to continue to see the thing and so i was in a valid decision i said we talked about last week about paying for this but we didn't talk about this today and so i'm waiting and i'm waiting and i can see lamar jackson he's got the ball at the top screen and it's like third and five and i know it's gonna be a run play and he's gonna do something he's gonna spin again and i'm in the valley decision and i waited too long and what it did was it logged me off and kicked me back to a game that i did not want to see because i was trying to figure out in order to see something is this something that i was going to pay for and i could tell by the top of the screen that it was an important part in the game but i did not know whether i wanted to pay for it or not so it kicked me to something that i did not see and then the thing about it is i heard about what happened but i was not able to witness it myself and beloved in the same way there's some things that god has given you a preview for he's told you in 2020 he's going to do it and you said oh i see what god's going to do oh i see god god's going to make a way oh i see how god's going to bless me he says yeah but in order to move by the cloud by day and fire by night it's gonna cost you something it's gonna cause to see this next move that i'm gonna make in the other morning it was 4 30 in the morning god woke me up and he said oh man pastor nate this this message you've been preaching about being in the presence of god it's been powerful i said oh has it god he said oh yeah i gave you a powerful message he said practice the presence i said yeah lord practice the presence he said let's practice the presence i said oh yeah they're gonna practice the presence he said no let's practice the present i said yeah my prayer time is at eight o'clock he said yeah i wanna talk now i said at 4 30. he said yeah i want to talk now he said you've been praying about what's the next steps with now church you're moving by the cloud and it's a building here's a building there what's the next move he said but what are you willing to pay to stay in my presence you got a preview but do you want to miss the next thing i'm going to do in your life in the church's life and the people at now church because you're hesitant about if this is something that you want to pay this is something that god is trying to get you to do and so in order for you to stay in the presence of the lord it's going to cost you something passing a what is it going to cost me is it going to cost me another offer nope it's going to cost me a tithe nope is it going to cost me a love offer no but it's going to cost you you it's gonna cost you you we've been talking about the children of israel and how they were in egypt and they came out they got delivered they came out they're not slaves anymore and how they initially lined up in fighter's formation and they really wouldn't fight us and god said i can't take you in like that you can't go in like this so i have to change you being in the presence of god is good for information it's good for your next steps it's good for you to be encouraging your innermost being so that christ may dwell in your hearts by faith but being in the presence of god shall change also a formation that you were used to that i was used to that god doesn't want to use any longer and make you be somebody you could not be in your natural self the presence of god changes you and makes you to be something you could not be in your natural self cloud by day five by night teacher a long time ago even a long time ago senior pastor i can't believe and it didn't come from a school it didn't come from somebody laying hands on me it came and skipped the senior pastor and all that but becoming a man of god didn't come from being in church didn't it came from being in the presence of god and that's what we see right here in this genesis uh chapter 32 passage of scripture jacob has this plan of something he wants to happen as i said earlier he took his wife and he took all his possessions and he said man i'm gonna go in here and i'm gonna go talk to god i'm gonna go in here and i'm gonna spend some time with god because i'm scared my brother esau um he's gone he's after me he may kill me and i stole his birthright so these possessions that i have anyway they don't belong to me so maybe god's gonna take them so if i just get around god and just talk to him about it then god will be my protector because that's what god does god protects god makes ways out of no way god's moves mountains he caused walls to fall he makes a way when my back was against the wall and it seems like it was over and it looks like if i was falling and it looks like it was over he makes a way so jacob got into the presence of god into what we see now is worship he got into the presence of god as what we see is now as worship and before god wanted to do something in his life he had to change him and beloved the presence of god is not just to bless you it is a blessing but the presence of god is to change you my bishop says praise is for you and worship is account of what god has done for you bishop rose says praise is for you but worship is an account of what god has done for you and one of the most powerful things that god can do for you is not just to give you things but make you be something you couldn't be in your natural self make you think a way that you couldn't think in your natural self make you act a way that you couldn't act in your natural self break curses on your life that you couldn't break on your natural self destroy yolks that you couldn't break in your natural self he says jacob if i'm gonna change your name and bless you i gotta change you first so the first thing that we're gonna do is we're gonna worship we're gonna worship worship is a sign of intimacy that you've had with god by yourself it's a sign of intimacy that you've had with god by yourself so that's why we don't i don't i don't i don't judge people's worship but i don't judge their praise i don't judge whether somebody's laying prostrate i don't judge it when somebody's crying i don't judge if somebody's jumping i don't judge somebody standing still i don't judge it because the thing about it is we are just getting a byproduct of what it's like for you to be intimate with god just like me and your first lady we have four kids now when we made those kids none of y'all wouldn't know thank god and we're not coming to serve and say hey this is how we made these kids but everybody has an idea of where kids came from praise the lord amen fifth and sixth grade health class they told you where they came from so you know there was something intimate that took place that you didn't get to see but you see the byproduct of something that happened behind closed doors see what you see right here pastor nate being a preacher is definitely a byproduct of some time with the lord that took place behind closed doors people getting delivered is a byproduct of something that happened behind closed doors worship should change you it should be your check meter along with the spirit of god of what needs to change in your life this woman with it with this woman at the well this samaritan woman she came and the lord said okay this is not gonna happen in your life anymore i'm gonna put a well on you you're not even gonna have to come back here anymore and those husbands that you got i'm gonna forgive you but the thing about it is you must worship in spirit and in truth beloved a good shout a good praise a good yell a good run it does something for you as a reminder of something that god's done in your life but what god has done in your life he's already done but he said in spirit and in truth what should happen when you see the lord high and lifted up and shining in have you ever got around somebody that's on a whole nother level of you and then you come to your sense say man i got so much work to do i am a mess i am a wretch undone because every time i don't talk about pastor nate because every time on a sunday or in my private time in god's presence i get behind the guy and i was like man i cry in service every sunday because i'm like god why would you want to be like be with somebody like me so i want to always get close to the lord so i can see myself in whatever needs to be changed in me it can be changed as me seeing how far i got to go so if you're saying pastor day i got a long way to go guess what we get a check every sunday when we get close to the lord i got a long way to go it may impress your mama it may impress your church it may impress your friends but when i get beside the living god i realize i still have a long way to go and she said in spirit and in truth that word truth is the word of god it's who jesus was he says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free what sets you free truth is the word of god if you want to stay in god's presence if you want to be changed like jacob is what does it the word of god for you shall note it didn't say you should know a good preacher it didn't say you should know a good praise song it is unusual but you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son translation word and truth that whosoever believeth in him that he can make me be something that i can't be in my natural self shall have everlasting life so jacob has messed around and got into the presence of god and it changed him and beloved here at now church make no bones about it just because we don't do altar calls every week our aim is to get you in the best altar call we could ever do is get you in the presence of god and get you to lift your hands and you see the lord high and lifted up and shining in the light of his glory and god speak to you about some things that you need the bible says that we're continually being saved god is speaking something to us every week that we need to be changed i i tell people one of the reasons why i'm a a good husband and and my wife doesn't have to check me because she knows i'm constantly trying to get into the presence of the lord so if i say something crazy okay i ain't gonna say that doing cause god gonna get him god gonna get hey god deal with your son and i'm in here and we're jumping always making a way oh wait then we go standing here looking like you and god's like oh man you know you said something something like last week that was crazy i'm like dada he's like yeah you need to apologize okay lord i'm worshiping and god what god does is he checks you he changes you he makes you something you couldn't be in your natural cell and that's what happened with jacob that's why we want you to get in the prison of the lord not just to move by the cloud by fire by day i mean cloud by day and fire by night to get something but so you can say like jacob said in verse 30. so jacob called the place panel saying it is because i saw god face to face and yet my life was spared i got into the presence of god and i saw him face to face and even with what i got going on even with where i'm from even with what i've done my life was spared because god gave me correction god told me what i need to get right god told me who i need to forgive god told me who i need to let go god told me stuff i need to stop doing and to be honest sounds good but it's been sometimes god has told me to do something and he had to tell me more than once he's had to tell me more than once and then i knew the people not to talk to because they were not going to co-sign with how i felt and was going to tell me something god said so i was going to ask you first lady god said i need to um talk to this person what you think cause like i don't really think i'm cutting her off before she can say what you think cause i don't think so because you know you know what they did and i'm trying to talk to it again because i knew if i gave her too much time she said yeah nate what did the lord say and i come back next week got my hands up i'm worshiping god what do you have to say today same thing i said last week nothing new let me find somebody else that can co-sign what i want to happen but beloved with you being obedient and you lining up in a different formation i'm telling you and you practice getting into the presence of the lord one day you'll wake up and look in the mirror and you'll be somebody you never thought you could have been you'll forgive somebody that you never thought you could forgive will make ways out of you out of your life that you know you're like where did you go because i know that person and god has made me something new and one of the reasons i want you to move by the cloud cloud by day and fire by night because i want god through our worship to make us be somebody that we cannot be in our natural cells and change our lives so that you can be all that god wants you to be and you can walk in a land flowing with milk and honey but god said we're not just doing it in any formation we're not not just doing it in any formation maybe you and beyonce could i couldn't help it uh maybe but he said we're not just gonna line up in any formation i couldn't help it i'm sorry but god said we're not going in like this and what i don't want to happen is god to give you a glimpse of what he wants you to be and you're sitting there in the valley decision and he kicks you down to something that he don't even really want you to have he's something that he really doesn't want you to see but that you get everything god has for you because you're lining up correctly not that you don't make mistakes but what he's saying to you the instructions he's giving you that's what you're doing amen hey man by your hands let me pray for you right where you are father we thank you lord that we want to worship you in spirit and in truth god lord we want to get in your presence god and see that we're all done god we're undone we want to get in your presence and see that heaven and earth can become one god because you're wonderful god you're beautiful lord you're glorious you're matchless in every way god we thank you lord that we found in your hands glorious joy god and in your presence all of our fears can be washed away god we want to be used by you god have your god light weight in our lives and god make us something that we could
