Hey everybody it's Alex at motoroso.com and in  this video we're going to talk about the nine   must-have mods for the new '21 and up Ford Bronco  as you well know this has been one of the most   popular launches of a new vehicle in Ford's  history and the demand has far outstripped   their ability to build them fast enough in our  supply chain hampered world. we hope you've either   got yours or are getting it very very soon  and out of the box the Bronco is awesome but   literally it is designed to be modified to take  your performance and styling to new levels just   depending on how you plan to use it now we got  ours about 10 months ago so we have a ton of   experience with this Bronco already we've got two  dozen other videos already on our channel we'll   put a link to that playlist in the description  this video is meant to boil down the ones that we   think are your must-haves and some of the really  popular products that are working out great and   as usual we'll put links to all the products  we talk about in the description of this video   those links will take you over to our website  where you can shop for them on motoroso.com   there you can reach us on live chat or call us  toll free at 833-MOTOROSO we love helping our   Bronco customers with their Bronco builds let us  know how we can help now let's dig in now one of   the first things a lot of our customers ask us  about is how to get a little bit more power or   responsiveness out of their bronco now the motors  that come in these things both the 2.3 liter 4-cyl  and the 2.7 liter 6-cyl are much better and much more  responsive and more powerful motors than to come   in the jeep one of the biggest complaints is  just how dogged those are but we totally get it   everybody wants a little bit more juice so one of  our first must-have mods that we always recommend   to folks is get yourself a Pedal Commander this  is a simple and inexpensive device that plugs into   your throttle pedal and helps you get 36 levels  of control over the sensitivity of your throttle   this allows you to make it very responsive feeling  like you have more power but it's not actually   changing the performance or the power output of  the engine which is great because that means it   doesn't affect your warranty in any way and all  these vehicles are new and under warranty so you   don't necessarily want to avoid those right away  this again is a very easy five-minute install   and it's going to make the vehicle feel way  more responsive it's also got a cool eco   feature that'll help you save fuel and we're all  paying for it at the pump right now so that's a   very popular feature too in addition to a Pedal  Commander if you'd like to make actually more   power as well we highly recommend looking at these  new piggyback tuners these also do not imprint on   the engine so they have no effect on your warranty  but they will actually push the performance and   power output of the engine for the 2.3 liter  we recommend the afe scorcher it'll bump you   33 horsepower and 43 foot-pounds of torque giving  you almost as much power as the 2.7 liter v6 again   very simple five-minute install if you've got the  2.7 liter afe does make a scorcher as well but we   recommend the VR tuned this is going to put out  plus 54 horsepower and 100 pounds of torque and we   proved that on a dyno with our bronco that's also  just a five minute install and they have a really   slick app to use that we've made separate videos  about all three of those and we'll put links to   those in the description now a lot of people have  also wanted to put an exhaust system on their   Bronco because from the factory it is basically  silent and when you put an exhaust especially on   the six cylinder it actually sounds pretty good  now our favorite is the AWE Tuning exhaust which comes   in a couple of different configurations again we  got another video about that you can check out   and it sounds spectacular we have the twin tip  black diamond tip version we really really like it we also like the magnaflow both of these come  with a high tuck exhaust that'll give you   clearance but you can also have tips on them  as well depending on what you're looking for   once you've got an exhaust system getting exhaust  gases out it's very helpful to have a high flowing   air filter or air intake pushing air in now there  are a couple of different options in here already   but not all of them are fully released the roush  is released now and it's available and it's a very   simple install and it flows extra air and filters  better because of a 30% larger filter but very very   soon there's going to be three different versions  of intakes coming out from afe and they're kind of   one of the best manufacturers of air intakes  in the industry so we're very excited about   those we'll put links to all three of those in  the description and subscribe to our channel   because we're going to have a video featuring and  installing those when they arrive our next major   category of must-have mods are going to be in  the suspension department now there are two major   reasons you might want to make changes to the  suspension one might be just to fit larger wheels   and tires and you don't really need an improvement  in suspension performance but the second is if you   actually want to increase the performance both  on and off road of your suspension there are some   much higher quality products than what's going to  come on the bronco even if you have that upgraded   sasquatch model now when it comes to wheels and  tires there's a ton to decide there we'd be more   than happy to help you choose different wheels and  tires depending on the look and style you're going   for way too much to cover in this video we're  just going to talk about suspension right now   now again before diving into specific suspension  options it's important to recognize whether or not   you have a non-sasquatch or a sasquatch model  bronco i'm sure you know this because you know   what you ordered if you have a non-sasquatch  bronco it came with roughly 32-inch tires and   only takes an extra two inches of lift to fit 35s  like the sasquatch version four inch lifts are   very common and that'll allow you to fit 37-inch  tires now if you've got a sasquatch it'll only   take about another inch and a half roughly to fit  a 37 but if you're doing any of that you recommend   we recommend going to a full three inch lift from  that base sasquatch setting that'll allow you to   fit those 37s and you're probably going to be  stepping up to a higher caliber of suspension   with coil overs now if you're just looking to  fit larger wheels and tires and you don't want an   improvement in suspension there are strut spacer  lift kits out there that'll give you between one   and two inches of lift or up to four inches if you  look at the fabtech kit that we made a video about   this will allow you to fit those larger  35 inch tires or go all the way to 37's   and they are very inexpensive to buy the parts  but i will be honest with you installing them   is just as complicated as installing high-end  coil over suspension it's going to be quite a   lot more labor than just the parts so when you're  making your analysis consider the cost to install   unless you're doing it all yourself and determine  if you're going to spend any money at all is it   worth just doing a strut space or lift kit  or going to an actual coilover replacement   and for that reason we're going to focus on  coilover lift kits specifically because we   think that it's worth the investment to actually  get that improved suspension damper and the   adjustability that can come with these coilover  lift kits starting with the Eibach pro truck   coilover lift now we think this is going to be one  of the most popular products in the industry this   is going to lift your Bronco 4 inches from base or  up to three inches if you've got a sasquatch and   it's a simple coilover you'll just bolt up comes  in under two thousand dollars it's going to give   you ride height adjustment and it's going to have  improved damping performance now if you want to   take that just a little step further Belltech is  offering a trail performance kit that has a 2.5   inch shock body that's going to give you a better  damping control and that kit's interesting because   it also comes with a sway bar that's going to give  you better on-road handling performance as well as   better towing stability this is definitely a kit  for anybody that plans to tow with their Bronco   now for those that want to get a little bit  more serious one of our favorite kits in the   industry is the Fabtech coilover lift kit this  includes the dirt logic 2.5 remote reservoir   over shocks which are going to be a dramatic  improvement in performance off-road these things   have been specifically designed and tuned for  the bronco and it includes upper control arms   and a trailing arm as well to make sure you get  the maximum and gain in wheel travel which is   actually three inches of additional wheel travel  up front this is going to be one right what i   think one of the best values in true off-road  performance suspension and definitely one to   take a look at and going deeper on and we made a  separate video all about it we'll put that link   right here now for those that are going to want to  go to the top level of performance on their Bronco   you're going to want to check out things like the  fox 2.5 dsc or the king shocks these are going to   add in the ability to make damping adjustments  like rebound and compression damping giving you   control over exactly how the bronco feels on  the different terrain you're trying to tackle   and you're going to want to pair that with some  higher end control arms like baja kits billet   upper control arms and trailing arm now we're  going to be putting on our bronco the fox 2.5 DSC   and the baja kits billet control arms none of the  fox shocks or the king shocks are available yet   the fox are going to be coming in very very  soon we have the baja kits billet products   waiting to go on so subscribe to the channel we  can't wait to share more information about those   products with you now this next must-have mob may  not be a true must-have for everybody but if you   like braking hard are you like high-speed desert  runs or you're just a big safety enthusiast once   you've got those 37s on with your new lift you may  want to check out the alcon bbk now we installed   this big brake kit on our bronco and it was a  dramatic improvement in breaking performance and   that's going to prepare us for when we have those  37s on and when we head down to san diego and baja   for that high speed stuff that we know we want  to do now again this may not be a must-have for   everybody but these also look killer so consider  this if you're bumming up to 37s or bigger   now with that higher lift getting in and out of  a sasquatch or a lifted Bronco can be a chore   even for a tall guy like me so a lot of people are  looking for steps rock sliders or power drop steps   and there are a handful of great options in the  industry if you're just looking for a static step   you could look at something like the westin hdx or  the n-fab series of steps which are going to be a   solid bar and maybe take a little bit of off-road  abuse but they're not really meant to be a rock   slider now if you want a rock slider check out the  Fab Fours rock slider or the ZROADZ rock sliders   both of which can double as kind of a step but are  really meant to protect the chassis of your Bronco   against impacts off-road but by far the  most popular option for Broncos have been   power drop step options of which there are a  handful and these have been really really popular   with our vertically challenged bronco owners now  AMP research was the inventor of the power drop   step and they make two options currently the power  step and the Powerstep XL now the power step is   simple it tucks nicely up against the bronco and  then when you open the door it deploys down it's   an easy install and they're relatively affordable  they do not provide any sort of protection for   the vehicle though they are not a rock slider  they are also offering the Powerstep XL which   is only available for the four-door option  but it's gonna drop down three inches more and   sits inside a box next to the body of the truck  that's gonna provide you with a little bit of   door ding protection and a top step that you  can step onto when you're getting in the vehicle   those are two great options from AMP research the  next option is going to come from Aries the Actiontrac   is a very simple drop step for the four-door  version only it's gonna offer you a little bit of   door ding protection and it is readily available  in stock much more so than the AMP research   lastly the most popular option in the industry  because it is frankly more than one product its   two products in one is the Rock Slide Engineering  step sliders now these are a true rock slider   they're incredibly robust they're mounted with  like 50 bolts right down onto the body mount there   incredibly strong product that you can really  make impact with objects on the trail and use   as a rock slider but when you open that door that  step drops down helps you get in and out they also   come with the option for a skid plate that doubles  down the thickness and it's almost like an iphone   case for your step slider allows you to protect  it if you're really planning to hit it hard   out there on the trail all these options are  available on our website obviously we'll put links   to those in the description and we have videos for  them as well our next major category of must-have   mods is auxiliary lighting and the Bronco is just  begging for auxiliary lights with its OEM switches   and its mounting locations and there's some great  kits out there one of the most popular locations   to mount off-road led lights on the Bronco is that  fog pocket kit especially on that modular bumper   because it's so easy and looks so clean now you  can put 5k, 10k, 20k lumens of light down there and   because it's low it's going to help cut through  dust and rain another very popular location   just because it's easy and it looks great is the  a-pillar location and just fyi that's a good spot   to put lights so that it's going to light the  ditches we tend to point those off to the side   and give you side lighting with something like  a wide diffusing lens just an fyi this can light   the hood up a little bit as well but it's not  really a problem when you're driving and one   place where you can put the most light output  is going to come off the windshield or roof bar   and this is a place where you can get sometimes 20k,  30k, 40k lumens of light this is usually where we   throw our clear lenses or spot lenses so we throw  light way up the trail for those high speed runs   unfortunately though when you've got dust or rain  out this is a tough place to throw a lot of light   out because the light's going to actually reduce  your field of vision so getting a combination of   lighting coming off the front of the vehicle is  going to allow you to optimize for exactly the   conditions that you're in lastly we'll also  say the reverse lights on the Bronco do suck   and so there's some great reverse light options  as well now some of our favorite brands include   Baja Designs and RIGID these are two of the  leading manufacturers of lighting in this industry   i'd call them mid to upper tier quality and  that's where we recommend spending your money   because it's not worth having to replace any  of these lights or lenses down the road and   you definitely don't want them failing on you when  you need them most one of the most profound ways   to change the styling and overall functionality  of your bronco as well as off-road toughness is   going to be to add a set of after-market front and  rear bumpers now this is going to allow you to add   d-rings and shackles for getting pulled out of  situations it's going to allow you to add a winch   potentially for pulling yourself or anyone else  out of situations and allow you to add more led   lighting now there are a ton of options in this  category but there's a few that we've already   seen in person and installed that we really dig on  my Bronco we did the Fab Four stubby front bumper   this was an inexpensive bumper by comparison and  it's nice and narrow giving tons of clearance for   large tires which we still haven't installed  because we're waiting on our fox suspension   but it did allow us to add a super winch 12k pound winch and it's got a nice looking   pre-runner bar we also added the standard rear  bumper to match another option from Fab Fours is   going to be the matrix front bumper which puts a  winch inside the bumper but down low which means   it's not going to interfere with anybody who has  the front-facing camera if you want a winch one   of the challenges you're going to find is how to  have a winch without interfering with a ton of   that front-facing camera functionality another  option that we fell in love with immediately at   sema is the arb zenith this thing comes in at a  great price point and is packed with features we   recently installed it on our buddy Ryan's Bronco  and it looks great it's got these red d-rings   a gunmetal gray skid plate and it includes an  integrated led light bar at a great price and   as usual Addictive Desert Designs has brought  the heat to the industry they offer a number   of different bumpers front and rear for the bronco  including the pro the stealth the rock fighter and   the bomber all of these products look spectacular  and add a lot of functionality to the bronco so   we hope you found this video helpful if you'd like  help with any of these products reach out to us on   live chat or call us toll free at 833-MOTOROSO so  we put links to everything we talked about in the   description of this video and we'd love to help  you with your build if you'd like to check out   more in-depth details about the suspension mods  for your bronco check out this video right here   for our suspension deep dive which is going to go  through all your different lift height options and   the performance and functionality of the shocks  thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe
