regular gas 423. it's a good time to own a teardrop trailer how long have you had it um just about a month and how much was this seven thousand how long to get it oh my goodness so seven months i think the walls what are the walls made out of pvc um it's not solid it's it's a honeycomb honeycomb pvc yeah yep okay and the roof um the roof is about one piece fiberglass so it's all one piece and uh it's sealed around the edges yeah okay it feels pretty solid yeah yeah yeah well i sat on it um when i screwed the mounting brackets down for the solar panel because i couldn't you know there's no way i could reach it you might put the fan in so that's why i left this area no i think it's good yeah yeah you have room as you said you have room for another solar panel up here also yeah the only thing that was in it was uh the air conditioner yeah so you put in all the shelving yeah flooring this is a yes it's padded yeah yeah yeah yeah nice open up the other side now that way we'll get more light in here please i love it i i love it this is just so great now it's done the way you want you got it an empty shell and you've finished it yourself all this work in here is done by you right correct and excellent and donna excuse me okay yeah so you have just like tons of space underneath this bed right yeah yeah if you pull this up you could put guests under there you can see the frame the bedroom yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah so so this is steel yeah and and it has wood legs uh-huh and it was like about this high but then you know you get claustrophobia yeah we cut it cut it down we cut the wood legs down and we cut the length of the steel yeah we cut the length of that about five inches off of it and you finished everything yourself and it just looks great and every i love the layout i just like it like when you sit in the bed you have full access to all your stuff yeah and uh here's the air conditioner and uh what is this box over here that's uh a battery charger that runs on 110 110. you get a few days of cloudy weather so you can just plug that in and uh and it will charge your your lithium battery which is down on this box it's 200 amp hours so it's as big as this box oh really yeah well actually that is about here it's about four inches short of this oh was that like a thousand bucks for that battery um six twenty i think i think pretty good pretty good what brand is it you know um i i forgot the brand okay because some of them you can open them and you can serve as the battery you can actually go inside and change cells if you need to yeah not this one though you've got your vacuum which is a very bring that with you when you come down to visit me uh i'll put it through its paces yeah very i know that's your mppt controller right there yeah i love you got these circuit breakers in here which are very nice fuses in mine okay the fuses have leds in them and when a fuse blows it lights up vestibule uses led fuses and when a fuse is blown here i'll turn this on there we go uh it lights up it's crazy because i have a fuse box right here is that like a backup to the circuit breakers um no no the fuse box is for um like the lights and the outlet here for you know the phone okay and that's for the battery yeah okay great i got uh well you can't see it now but it's under the bed i got a cpap machine that's running around 12 volts okay great yeah great so i ran one of these circuits back so they're very nice black wire yep very nice very very nice uh no audio though huh no audio entertainment oh no okay okay no there's no audio no tv yeah i'm gonna come over there and get a shot of that circuit breaker setup okay so here's the uh the circuit breaker set up you've got two uh what what are they for the two circuit breakers this one is for the battery uh-huh um waterproof circuit breakers yeah yeah which is a good move yeah this is um this is going to be for the rest of um everything else electrical requirements yeah but i didn't have it hooked up i just mounted it yeah and in other words this wire is going to go over to here and be controlled by this breaker and then you'll have fuses and the circuit breaker right yeah that's a very good setup yeah right uh turn off solar panel then press red button turn off solar panel first then press red button or what happens it's self-taught if you want to disconnect your battery oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah disconnected same with mine you'll blow the uh the controller yeah yeah that's a nice controller that looks uh pretty expensive too yeah very nice very nice 12-volt how many 12-volt outlets do you have here um just one here and then there's one that's concealed in the back okay i've gone on the floor i've got like six i'm a real 12-volt yeah well i'm putting i'm going to put another one in um for this is this is the wire from the bridge yeah and i was just going to plug it right into here but the plug that came with the fridge was too long and it would jiggle out yeah oh yeah i just wrapped one of mine with tape to keep it in yeah so i cut the plug off yeah and i just put it on one of these this one yeah good you're doing it fabulous fabulous yeah fabulous job here cause i just discovered that this morning before yeah ac powership you have an inverter i don't have an inverter no so you're on 12 volt when you're out here yeah yeah me too yeah i have you know i well you have the battery in a box you know the uh the blue eddy thing yeah and that can be used uh yeah okay the suspension are leaf springs which are uh really easy to work with you can do a lot with springs uh uh leaf springs and uh in its stock form we got um um water leakage in the hinge area uh-huh right right here so as you can see the gasketing it leaves space this is squished down and you know what i mean you don't have a seal so we put this on did that help with the angle use aluminum angle here yeah oh yeah yeah okay and that works so when it closes when the door closes um this edge hits the seal and that's only because of these things like what about the rest of it yeah although the rest of it's good okay yeah speed the truth has to take it out in the rain and drive yeah that's that's solved that problem and you're one of the few people i know who is adequately sized your solar you have 280 watt panels 360 watts and that's overkilling the sunshine but uh you know on a cloudy day under trees you know a couple of days of no sun uh that that'll that'll help get you through which is good and you have the blue lady to get you through the rest of it so yeah emergency how many trips this is the first one all right the shakedown trip okay yeah we spent all the time working on it you know uh putting these um yeah very nice this is a great addition you can leave the window open a little in the rain yeah what is this uh a little light that's a yeah that's a tiny running light actually oh cool cool well it's about 1200 pounds now with all the stuff i have in it stock with uh without any options just the air conditioner um it's um i think about 780 pounds tongue weights about 100 pounds a lithium iron battery lithium iron phosphate right right um 200 amp hour wow that's a lot i mean what are you running in here um well i'm running uh fridge good i have a fridge too you have to stop down and see my rig yeah oh yeah okay great got a fridge got a lot got the mood lighting oh yeah this is a very cozy interior so you have a lot of shelf space up here uh and you put in your own you know configurable containers and uh you know you have i guess your battery and stuff is down there you have the refrigerator yeah and that's the solar solar generator too for a backup solar generator yeah yeah battery in a box right yeah yeah yeah whose is that oh that's blue eddie blue eddie okay and uh one cubic foot refrigerator um i'm not sure i'm not sure the size really is great i love my refrigerator i can stay off grid you know with your setup you can stay off grid is that what you're going to do boondock yeah yeah sometimes we were planning on going cross-country with it but i don't know if that's going to materialize or not but well it won't materialize without the trailer you know yeah yeah so good good and how has their customer support been uh run away um they're pretty good i mean every everybody i don't know anybody that likes um waiting uh eight months separately well you can't help that yeah you can't help that yeah but i mean if you call them and ask them a question they help you out okay good so this is great you have a back window so three windows right that's very important you know ventilation in these things is like it's like living in a toaster if you don't have ventilation and you put a huge uh box back here yeah yeah so i keep a generator in there a generator what have you got here i mean you're powering a lot of stuff here you're a heavy electric user that would be just for heat you know oh you have heat in here or the air conditioning yeah oh okay so we'll get to that what kind of heat do you have um just an electric heater okay okay okay so you know it's not going to be used that often but it's there you know it's the same with the air conditioner so i have propane heat in my trailer i love it's the best thing i ever got for the trailer it's fabulous i added mine later so this is pretty good now this weight on the bag is not enough to offset the tongue weight right i mean you're not gonna like flip up or something right yeah yeah no no there's a there's a hundred uh the manufacturer states there's 150 pound limits to put on the back i see okay okay about with the rack and the box and the generator and the extra two gallons of gas and just toolbox in it it's about 140 pounds or something very nice what's your background did you uh camp uh you've camped before this right backpacking camping tent camping yeah first year i'm going camping without a tent you know it's pretty good so far right you brought a small town with me though just in case how many nights have you slept in this just none tonight's the first night yeah oh man i should have brought some champagne holy cow i should have uh yeah wow very nice she took a nap donna took a nap this afternoon yeah donna doesn't want to be on camera so we're going to leave her alone yeah yeah people accuse me of being rude and intrusive but i'm not i'm really a nice guy very nice so you've got i like the three windows i think that's a great addition you know you did the solar work yourself yeah yeah i made the roof racks and yeah yeah i did this nice i like the entry point here very clean very nice also you know sealed up nicely you added the roof rack yourself yeah very nice job very nice job this is very very nice yeah and it came actually the third window in the back that's not stock an extra you paid a little more for that yeah but it wasn't that bad it was 180 i highly recommend that i would have got one in the front too i mean i'm like a ventilation nut oh but yeah i see okay so the ac is stuck that's that's if you can't get it without it i don't think oh really huh 5000 btu i mean that must chill this down in a few seconds right i tried it but you know i tried it like a couple of weeks ago yeah well the duty cycle is going to be like nothing i mean it'll run for okay and you got a nice big tongue box up here very nice so what do you keep in there um right now is just firewood in it but it's probably going to be used for dirty laundry yeah yeah i have a roof rooftop thing on my car which i i have uh yeah good extra storage i've got a spare tire mounted underneath but i'm gonna get rid of that because you know if i where is it underneath right back here okay you can see if you get down here let me see you got a stabilizers too which are nice i see that's going to eat into your off-road capability yeah that what i'm concerned about that is when i do get a flat and one side drop six inches it's it's held on by a couple of nuts so i'm gonna get a ratchet in there and the damn thing yeah you gotta crawl under yeah i'll make you send donna under there just send her on there yeah but uh yeah no i i hear you uh yeah yeah and where would you mount it do you think i think there's you know i got the solar panels on the roof and yeah i want storage on the front so i don't think the side is strong enough i seen one person on youtube that had um a bracket welded here to the frame the frame and then it threw both it through the wall yeah the frame was taking the bulk of the weight and gotcha and the through bolt in the wall was just keeping it from flapping around you know or back here you know or in the front or something you can mount it a lot of people do that too they'll get an x-mount a spare tire yeah well you know this kind of it's better to get a little experience and just wait we shipped up from florida to them you know they ship like lots of five or six of them up yeah you know as they come off yeah they probably sell like hot cakes you know good so you have you have an ac outlet here when you plug into a campground that uh that will uh energize the whole thing right yeah yeah there's a couple of power strips in there one on the back and one yeah you know but um i don't plan on using it that often you know yeah maybe once a year maybe yeah yeah yeah i am not standard with the camper yeah i think it's a good thing to have i mean you know you end up in campgrounds and you're on the road you know it's not always in the boonies you know it's uh very nice a simple uh jack stand got a security lock for it that's a good thing to have uh very very nice would you have gotten it with air conditioning had it not you know had you had a choice um if i had a choice yeah um i probably wouldn't get it yeah okay you know i just say well three windows is enough and if i need more i'll have i'll put a fan on the roof that's what i do i have a 12-volt thing and no roof vent i i don't understand that i think that's a good thing to have you know it just bleeds off hot air and i'm full of hot air so it uh it helps quite a bit for runaway campers facebook forums right right there's two of them on okay good and that's a great place to pick up tips and all right oh yeah yeah and uh yeah so you knew what you were getting into because you'd read everyone else's uh reviews and yeah it's all made things kind of easy you know yeah yeah you knew again racks are pretty much these brackets are a copy of what the factory supplies yeah yeah at a cheaper price yeah and the rear uh the rear uh uh trailer hitch that comes standard on this no no i bought that at home separate on amazon okay and uh i mean the the part that's mounted to the trailer oh yeah that was there that was mounted so the uh yeah well don i just want to thank you i mean this really helps a lot of people who are looking at these things and uh thanks for your tour i've shown that it's really you can do a better job than some of the makers do you can you know put in your own stuff yeah yeah have a purpose or how long are you out for um just for this weekend thank you again you're welcome
