I feel pretty confident that Swift is here to stay. I do think there are some good use cases for web apps though. Last time I checked, bluetooth is not supported on iOS with web apps.
No, I don’t think so. PWA is a good technology but it’s new and it’s not really been adopted in many businesses. It has to go through a phase where it’s solving a significant issue for it to get adopted wildly. Hybrid apps has been here for a while and native is not dead yet.
From what I heard the combo with Web Assembly will be the one that helped PWAs so that it is as fast as native in which Swift can also be use with WASM
That’s my opinion thou, I don’t think something would just be replaced.
nah.
And if anything, no one should be a one trick pony so long as you have fundamentals and if you continue learning.
You're supposed to be a programmer first. Swift Developer second.
I think native development is here for some time.
I hope Swift will grow for other environments too (server, system, wasm,…)
Hybrid frameworks for mobile are all lagging at least a bit behind. It’s ok for building some apps, but not all.
