yes what is going on and welcome back to the channel today and I'm gonna be going through the top 7 things that I hate about my car now it's not going to be so much you know something pertaining to old virgins in general it's just gonna really be my car with the specific mods that I've done you know the cage the seats lowering it all that stuff so I'm gonna start with number 7 that being the least annoying thing that I don't like about the car and then we're gonna roll it down to number 1 which is gonna be the most alright so you're probably thinking visibility what the hell am I talking about this isn't a 5th gen Camaro this isn't a 6th gen Camaro this is a 3rd gen Camaro with a huge and a skirt piece of patch glass that should have plenty of visibility out the back and for the most part it does but the thing that ruins it is this now what I'm talking about with that pillar there is whenever it comes to backing out of the driveway or like a sparking spot in a lot or anything like that because of that really wide pillar you can see how wide it is inside the car outside the back you can see pretty much everything but when you're backing out of a driveway especially by the house and say the grass is the street there and you have a car parked right there at the edge of the driveway when you're coming out you can see a little bit of the street and then you start seeing the pillar and then you're pretty much blind you're just pushing the ass of the car out into the street while you're waiting for this pillar to clear so you can actually see past the car that park there so that definitely makes the list at number 7 it's not a huge problem my car it's definitely a little bit worse because you could see pretty much where I'm sitting right now when I'm turning around when I'm looking to back out you can see these seat is in the way I'm blocking the window in the front there a little bit as well as the cage that kind of gets me from the window so that definitely makes a little bit worse if that stuff wasn't there I could probably kind of just peek around like that so my car in particular definitely makes this more of a blind spot than it has to be and obviously unless your car's completely gutted so could have a passenger seat these are fixed fibreglass seats so the bat can't recline so if you had like a factors you just kind of tilt the seat back a little bit and that'll give you a little more visibility out that front window you got now for some reason cupholders weren't really a thing until like the mid 90s I had a 91 k 2500 GMC pickup truck that didn't have cupholders no third gen that I knew of aside from maybe Firebirds I think Firebirds may have had a cup holder in the console I may just be thinking about a fortune but yeah these cars don't have cupholders I mean I think the number one thing that a lot of third gen guys do including myself is just take the cup stick it right between your legs and you go on your merry way now this works relatively well and that's one of the things I do the only downside with that is if you have a manual if you decide to downshift or you know give it a little gas how to do a little spirited driving while you have that cup there when you hit the clutch you tend to kind of squeeze your legs together and the cap could fly off and coffee or wherever your drink go all over your lap and all over the car not to say that this ever happened to me but it's definitely something you're gonna want to look out for the other thing I do that I find myself doing a lot more when I'm like driving on the highway or just trying to go for a nice Drive I want to have a cold cup wedged between my legs I just come over here to the door panel and just wedge it on in there you know that stays in there relatively well I've been doing this for years and there's no signs of like extra wear on the door or anything like that but definitely make sure you have this in here far enough and it's tight because if it isn't and you got to give this thing some gas or make a jerky shift or something there is a possibility that this could slip back the cover could fly off coffee could kind of project out in this upward motion go into your armpit down your shirt onto your pants into the carpet below the seat so definitely you're gonna want to make sure that that doesn't happen now this isn't something that is always gonna be a problem at least my car just recently my swap the freer I developed this annoying annoying speaking the back out if you compare it that kind of like metal-on-metal rusty squeak noise it's incredibly annoying I tried pulling the bushings apart and shed a little grease in there it didn't seem to do anything I'm still not 100% if it's coming from the rear suspension because I do have wool poly bushings back there the problem is the parts that I have are so old I got them off the roller car that I got the ground effects and stuff although didn't have any grease fittings on so there's no way to actually pump grease into the bushings aside for just pulling them apart and kind of smearing the sides of grease so I'm very close to just going and buying like I said at um I low control arms and panel for that I'm pretty sure I was gonna get rid of this week I mean assuming that all the control arms and the bushings are making the noise but yeah definitely making the list at number 5 that's weak alright so I had to start the car up to get the air to blow out of the front vents because obviously it is vacuum control but number four is gonna be the blower motor now what am I talking about when it comes to blower motor I am talking about the force now compared to new cars today the blower motor not only in this car but I mean any old car it just sucks I mean it doesn't blow anything at all like a new car I mean if you aim this on your face you could barely kind of just get like a cool breeze it is nothing like the blower like in a new car [Music] yeah that's all it has now areas coming out of here I can feel it yeah I mean I can feel it slightly back here just a little tingle in the palm of my hand I definitely find myself wishing that this had a lot more power when it comes to this summer and you know it's a freaking hot as hell outside but then you get into the car crank up the AC and all you really get is this poor excuse of like an old man inside your - which is kind of blowing air onto your face now we touched on this in my cage walkthrough video the the biggest complaint for me with these doors is just the sheer size of them now I love the way this car looks and keep in mind none of this stuff is me trying to bash it and say that I don't like it another car when I was putting this video together I literally had to kind of sit down and think of things but when it comes to the door is just the sheer size ohm is what makes it annoying the way they open you could see that's probably like a normal amount of parking lot space and just a sheer length of the door it makes it very difficult to try to squeeze out of here when you're in a tight parking situation so I tend to try to park on my own as far away as possible anyway so [Music] all right so you see for number two out of come back home because the window is just absolutely ridiculous but number two is going to be ground clearance now driving an LS WAP surgeon with long tube headers ground clearance is definitely a problem it's mostly that passenger side collector that takes a lot of the beating when you're driving around now I know how to drive this car where I rarely rarely scrape it got to be aware of any ruts like changes in the road where you might have a little hump on one side you got to make sure you don't have that collector kind of going over that because you will scrape it and possibly even lose a clamp but I'm really good with that the exhaust really doesn't take a beating as much as it used to as I got used to driving the car with the headers but the main thing that kind of bothers me aside from the exhaust when it comes to the ground clearance is that front chin spoiler and it's hooked up to an LCD that's inside the rear view mirror and before I put floor on I did have it working but one side will go my switches around the unicorn and stuff I've never hooked it back up and I really have to clear out doing that well basically it's a camera inside the grille that kind of aims down at the chin spoilers so when it comes to parking you're not gonna have to worry about scraping that thing on like one of those concrete blocks because a lot of the times especially if your cars loads like fine those blocks it relatively high and if you're not paying attention you're gonna come in and just crush this right against that block I have come close since the camera hasn't been working lately but for the most part it's definitely probably even for stock ride height guys because I've seen plenty of third gens you know stock wheels and tires sitting you know that time here stock Springs and the lippisch is absolutely you know crack destroyed scrape frame the middle I think a lot of it has to do with just abused with these cars people really you know appreciate them too much you can see I definitely have a few little scrapes here whereby I've kind of hit dips in the road going too fast and the front end did dip down and kind of sprained nothing too major but it definitely does make number two because when it comes to painting stuff like that you know if you put a lot of work into something make it look good and something stupid like that happens whether you scrape that or a turbine wheel or something and stuff like that definitely and talk about cosmetic stuff that annoys me that's gonna bring us to number one which you probably wouldn't have guessed it but that is gonna be the paint now a lot of you guys probably don't know but I actually had this car painted at Mako I'm not gonna really get too far into that I can make that another video but there's a lot of detail when it came to getting this thing painted but one story short I did all the bodywork and they just sprayed it with a base coat clear coat and then I did all the the finishing work and put the car back together afterwards but needless to say when I was prepping this thing I took about a week off from work and just kind of worked on it while I was on vacation and towards the end I ran out of time and I didn't have time to prep spoiler the mirrors and the rear bumper so I just kind of pass it off to them I'm like can you prep this for me I didn't have time to do it I'll pay whatever just do that to spray now it's been two and a half years since this car was painted and literally every single part of the car with the exception of these little cracks that every pop in the corner the paint's been absolutely fine there's no flaking you know the clear coats great I maintain it I wax - correction on it every year it's been great the only part that's been given be a problem and of course it's the part that I didn't prep is the back bumper I mean you can see here this just happened the other day a huge chunk of paint kind of flew off while I was washing it now this has been bubbling up ever since maybe six months after I got the car back just random spots only on the bumper it you know is ground to fix a find the rockers are fine all the stuff I prepped I don't have a problem with and what you hear from a lot of guys is you know Makos good if you just want to have them spray the paint if you don't have a booth or garage or a way of doing it but by all means definitely do not make them prep the car and this for me is living proof of that as you can see that bubbled up there and came off there's a little spot I don't know if you can even see this in a camera it kind of can where they were supposed to prep they just kind of left all the little chips there they didn't even bother doing it understanding it they just sprayed right over that and then down here same thing it's starting to bubble right over here and there's a couple of spots that already came off that it just kind of came in here a touch-up paint you can see it's like flaking off down here over here and then underneath is a whole other story because you can see that looking at it why bother trying to clean or you know prep that anyway so you can see that's pretty much all gone and it's kind of just making its way up here so the fact that the rest of the car looks so good and this bumper is just kind of falling apart that makes it the number one thing that I hate the most about this car and that's you know just gonna make on having the paint done now don't get me wrong it looks really good as far as the rest of the car I mean you know it's as smooth as glass there's no orange peel and a lot of that comes back to me during the prep work which I will get into with another video looking to get your car painted but you had to Carlos drain I maybe get a lot of compliments when I tell people that I can't believe it's the car because I did give it to them in gray primer so I don't think the two codes three codes I'm really not sure so when it comes to matching the color I don't know how well it's gonna match and then we're gonna have to get into like blending into the quarter and all this stuff so for now I've kind of just been touching it up and putting it off as long as possible I'm definitely probably in a spring or a summer of next year I'm finally gonna address it but for now I'm just gonna come in here like I've been doing a little touch-up paint cover this up build it up with them clear and then just a West sanded and smooth it out just to kind of blend it in I mean at least it's in kind of like an inconspicuous area down towards the bottom of the car or something so that's it seven things I hate for you know kind of just like about my car now I'm gonna be doing the same thing only with things that I like for an upcoming video might be the next video I'm not sure there's a couple of things I do have to address with the car that rear axle I did get the new bearings and ceiling I got to pull that axle out take care of that I might make a video on that I'm just doing the repair replacing the bearings seeing if it solves my noise issue the other thing I've been noticing while making turns I kind of feel that right rear wheel kind of hopping or like you know it feels weird I'm turning so I definitely have to get that taken care I do not want that axe for coming out the other thing is that the blowers started making this little kind of weird Marbley rattle noise I think it's the bearings in the snout making the noise because after you rev it up and the revit comes down and kind of a load gets off the blower you hear this kind of like chattery grinding noise which i think is the bearings in the snout because it's coming from the snout area I do have new ones that I ordered like months ago I didn't put them on but if you don't find me an Instagram link is going to be in the description as always and for now if you enjoyed this video please be sure to LIKE comment subscribe
