happy new year busy views what is everyone's number one New Year's resolution to eat healthier of course during my last doctor's appointment for the baby the doctor actually told me to stop gaining too much weight so eating healthy is number one on my list like I said I overindulged a little bit too much during the holidays but not to worry I have seven life changing smoothies that'll help get our nutrients in and using all the colors of the rainbow I'm starting with pink which is the aloha power punch first I'm grabbing half a cup of frozen strawberries throw them in a blender half a cup of frozen pineapples same thing with half a banana two tablespoons of rinsed quinoa for some extra protein one tbsp of shredded coconut flakes one cup of coconut milk a quarter cup of Greek yogurt a tablespoon of maple syrup to sweeten things up and some ice now I'm gonna give everything a whirl look at that baby come together mm-hmm perfect I'll pour it in my glass [Music] it's the perfect baby pink color so pretty stick a straw in it OOP too far enjoy ah so good the pineapple and coconut gives it that tropical flavor and the Greek yogurt in quinoa gives it that extra boost of protein to help us build muscles all right now I'm gonna move on to my next color which is yellow for the vitamin C monster all right we have half a cup of frozen mangoes throw that into the blender half a banana half a cup of frozen peaches quarter cup or a scoop of Greek yogurt a tablespoon of chia seeds to get things moving I love adding chia seeds to smoothies because it has a ton of vitamins and nutrients like proteins fiber and omega-3 fatty acids to really amp up the smoothies a tablespoon of honey 1/2 a cup of orange juice then to make it creamy half a cup of soy milk some ice throw that in the blender and let's give it a whirl hmm look at that beautiful yellow shade come together I love all the speckles from the chia seeds too that was so good when the chia seeds mixed with liquid it gelatinizes and it helps to thicken up our smoothie this one also tastes like a tropical creamsicle and it's one of my favorites okay now moving on to the next color which is orange we have the anti-inflammatory smoothie I have one carrot that I'll just chop up dump into the blender one cup of cut papayas fresh papayas are one of the healthiest fruits in the world it has vitamin B vitamin C and folate which is great for pregnancy half a cup of frozen mangoes half a banana we're going for another tropical theme here a small piece of ginger that I've cut and peeled a tablespoon of pumpkin seeds because it has tons of vitamin C a quarter cup or a scoop of Greek yogurt again for protein half a teaspoon of turmeric for its anti-inflammation properties 3/4 of a cup of orange juice and some ice now blend baby blend we get a vibrant orange color from the carrot papaya and tumeric here gorgeous I love the hint of sweetness from the papaya and the carrot and the turmeric is not overpowering at all you guys should definitely give this one a try okay now our next one is green for the super energy charger I'm using some Dino kale that I've chopped up add to the blender half a banana half of a green apple half of an avocado to add some natural creaminess half a cup of frozen pineapples some parsley to clean out your system if your breath is a little unsavory the parsley will clean that right up a tablespoon of walnuts for some healthy fat one and a quarter cups of coconut water a squeeze of lemon two really fresh and everything up and some ice now let's let Aurel this is super green the ultimate green smoothie [Music] I always feel good drinking something green and the healthy fats in this from the avocado and the walnuts will really keep my energy levels up throughout the day okay now I'm moving on to my next color which is blue for the antioxidant power boost here I have one cup of frozen blueberries dump it in the blender half a cup of frozen strawberries half a banana a quarter cup of Greek yogurt our favorite some chia seeds for some extra antioxidant boost half a cup of pomegranate juice 1/2 a cup of cooled green tea because that's also full of antioxidants and some ice blend blend blend mix mix mix the blueberries and the palm juice here really give it that deep blue almost purple light color it's so gorgeous I love it I really love the combo of green tea and pomegranate and I really get that hint of sweetness and there from all the fruits so blueberries green tea and pomegranate have a ton of antioxidants so I feel good drinking this ok moving on to our next color which is purple for brain power I'll start with one frozen pack of acai I'm using unsweetened but you can use sweetened half a cup of frozen blackberries half a banana half a cup of frozen strawberries a must-have in almost all smoothies 1 tablespoon of dried goji berries the goji berries here help to reduce any damaging inflammation and removes toxins from the brain which is why we call it the brain power smoothie 1 tbsp of almonds also for some healthy fat one tablespoon of chia seeds one cup of coconut milk and some ice I think of this movie kind of like an acai bowl with my favorite toppings blend it up now that's purple of purple mountains majesty it's a majestic purple here beautiful let's give it a try okay [Music] the acai has a really distinct flavor and it tastes great in this smoothie the smoothie is kind of like an acai bowl on the run okay moving on to our last smoothie for brown we're gonna have be awake smoothie even though the smoothie uses coffee it's not your typical Frappuccino type smoothie it's like a breakfast all-in-one I have four squares of dark chocolate that I'll just drop into the blender one whole banana 1/4 cup of rolled oats 1/2 a cup of Greek yogurt a tablespoon of peanut butter scoop it out 1 tablespoon of maple syrup 1/2 a cup of strongly brewed and cooled coffee and a giant scoop of ice for this one I'll blend it all together it's almost like a Frappuccino but so much healthier for you mmm I'm also loving the chocolate specks in there that reminds me of a mocha mmm [Music] this smoothie reminds me of a protein
