hi everybody welcome to another video on dream and dude this is way to power and in today's video i'll be showing you six things good about mac rob and four things that aren't so good this might apply to other selective schools so if you find this video helpful in any way uh please be sure to hit the like button and share with your fellow friends so that i can kind of reach out to more students and help them out many students are like-minded okay i remember when i was going to year 11 orientation and i was with the other new students we had a little bit of a small talk i was trying to make a lot of friends and kind of be a bit goofy and kind of sure who i was so being that really bad artist who can't draw anything i was talking about how in bio if you wanted to draw mitochondria mine would always turn out to be like a sausage so one of the other students who now is like one of my good friends and if you're out there watching this video thank you so much for all your support for this channel really appreciate it um well what she said was she would never have such a conversation in a casual setting like anywhere in her old school or in like anywhere in the public with other friends you'd just be in mcrob that should find this if you're really into academics you will find your plan of like academics or like scholars another bonus because everyone's so into academics you can easily form study groups and study groups are like a really effective way to study found that out in uni number two sex scaling i kind of knew this around a couple months into year 11 when a teacher told me so i had no idea before i did my the selective school exam what i was in for but really macrob has this benefit in other selected schools i'm sure has this as well so ever heard of that phrase a good student is good anyway i'm sure you've heard of this if you're doing the selective school exam people will tell you that why don't you just stay at your normal school well this statement is true to some extent what if i told you that if you are in a school with a lot of good students that this would help out with your sex scores or your study scores let's say your sex scores were like b plus a and then b for your three sex the end of year exam and your school does really well is in all the students perform like pretty well in the state and they're like quite above which is generally what selective schools do your set scores could be like from b plus all the way to a or even higher like how good is that you achieved a certain amount and it gets boosted higher but whereas if you go to a school with lots of students who don't do as well your b plus could go down to a c there are lots of resources so if you want to do some practice exams from vc which is like the golden golden thing you need to have well if you go to macro they give you exams that reach back to 10 years back even if the study design is not relevant still do it because there will be stuff that will be in there that some examiners and like teachers will drag out and put into your sex because you don't think you didn't look at them so do them like companies like kilbah inside tssm ts fx nape uh mav i'll do a video later on on like the different companies and i kind of rate them and evaluate them for you well these companies will cost you a ton if you were to buy all the exams that were relevant for your subjects no money needs to be paid to mac rob or at your school they just give it to you all you have to do is pay for printing they give it to you online answers the questions all there and then ask your teachers if you have any other questions job done number four teachers treat their students with a lot of respect well if you think that you go to a school and the teachers always kind of think they're above you and like yes they enforce rules but they always talk in a way that they think you're inferior to them if you feel uncomfortable about that well my club is probably the place for you or like another selective school because the teachers i don't know i just felt like when i went to mac rob i had this sudden feeling that teachers and students they kind of joked along it was more like teachers were working with students rather than the teachers were giving everything to the students sometimes the students would entertain the teachers and this kind of environment is really friendly i came to my club during orientation thinking that the teachers would be so strict they'd be all that uniform and it'd be kind of like you know transport in matilda yeah i thought it'd be kind of like that but turned out it was a complete opposite and my old school was even stricter than this this elective school who would have thought that right number five there are a lot of a lot of leadership opportunities and lots of student-run clubs that you can join for your individual interests so for example i was in palace photography in year 11 and i got to like take photos during school events like athletics swimming photo day i got to do those things this role was mostly run by students not just photography there's also like gaming club environmental kind of activists src the harry potter just to name a few and a lot of these are like student-run having having a student lead it's a really good experience because in the end as students we will grow up and one day we'll have to be the leaders of the world our prime minister someday will be somebody from our generation and this kind of skills we're learning from high school already running some club that we're passionate about and finding other people who are like-minded to us who might like say harry potter as well and having kind of like a common interest to talk about making new friends and of course that leads me to my sixth good thing about magrob is we create memories so you can do really well in your studies you create lots of friends and of course your memories are like kind of the thing you really want to create in high school because you always hear about other people or like people in uni or your parents talk about their high school memories well you want to create your own and for me in mac rob it really created something that i i didn't think i would have had if i was to stay in my old school which to be honest i wasn't really happy about and you can just kind of be yourself be quirky be unique be be who you want to be and nobody will really judge you and guess that's why i kind of had a lot of fun at this school as well as being a school which is also really academically inclined now on to the cons traveling is one of the biggest hassle especially for people who don't live in the city and you have to travel by public transport because driving in peak traffic is not fun so when i take the train half an hour by train from my station to fleeing the street get off the industry get on the trams which is always going to be busy especially without covering in year 11. it was really really busy and you get pushed and sometimes you just see a tram go because it was too full of people and you just have to wait in the platform again for the next tram and sometimes you wouldn't even get that and then you'll delay that and when you get into the tram hopefully it gets to the stop stop 22 or 20 for those of you who don't want to cross the bridge seven minutes hopefully you can get there but usually um in the morning it's 15 minutes get off the the tram you have like five to ten minutes to walk to the school get into your locker prepare for class you have to wake up pretty early i would say in the train if the train is around like it's over 20 minutes you can spend that time doing a bit of light-hearted study um use it to be more productive because if you were to go to school within your school zone it'd be perhaps closer and you'd have more time to sleep and also then you'll be more productive in the afternoon but because uh going to a school in the city you you have that kind of compromise you can make most of the time you used to travel number two so i've already touched on a bit about this so you're always really tired especially if you live kind of far from the city and when you get less than eight hours of sleep because you have to wake up earlier and you still need to study until pretty late you won't be able to focus so well in class as you might have back in your old school so once you get less than the amount of sleep you require hello eye circles eye bags hello flow hello sicknesses hello uh compromised immune system hello i can't focus in class number three stressing you're not good enough so you're going to one of the most academically acknowledge schools in the whole state and you study so hard and you're still behind and other people seem to be ahead of you because you're among um other smart kids and i kid you not this will lower your self-esteem and self-esteem is like one of the most important things you have to maintain if you are to succeed in anything don't try to compare yourself to other students because they might be doing another type of study method and that might not suit you and maybe some people learn faster than others and you might not be at the same pace as others and that's completely okay you might be gifted in certain subjects they might be gifted in other subjects so stop comparing with each other and just do whatever works for you and also remember don't ever try to work so hard that you burn out that's even worse than not working at all number four it is slightly competitive about like no brainer okay you're with other people who are academically gifted and they want to do well with sex schools testicles exam schools or whatever they'll be kind of this feral kind of animal like kind of competition with who did better i myself had this kind of guilty pleasure of asking other people what kind of things they put in the um stack they just did like kind of the answers and i'll compare it to myself and then uh when they had like kind of the same answer as i did and they thought it was kind of right and i thought it was kind of right i'll have this kind of reassurance and i feel kind of proud of myself i kind of like doing that and sometimes i got on the nerves of some people so i kind of stopped doing that because if somebody tells you to stop just stop because no hard feelings if they don't want to talk about it just don't talk about it continue being friends because there's no point of fussing over such a small thing and also if other people in this school again if they do well in the same subject you do then you will also do well because in the end the school sacks will scale up if everyone does really well so that's the end of my six things that are good about math rob and four things that aren't so good if you found this video helpful in any way please like subscribe and share with your fellow friends and classmates of course and if your dream is to succeed in school start now and always dream and do bye bye for now
