6 Hidden Houses in Minecraft

hello my name is green and today I'm here to show you six ways to hide your house so that isn't really the design of the house which I will be doing in a later video but how to hide them all of these designs I did check have already been shown on YouTube so there's nothing original here however I have been using a lot of these techniques for years and I did get a lot of help when making them because I'm no good shakes at redstone so as you can see here is a very natural landscape but what you don't know is there are six houses hidden before your very eyes here so let's start with the first one and this is probably my favorite one because it's just so well hidden and people just wouldn't expect to go here and it's really quite simple you find a mountain with a small overhang just with one block and you can right-click your way through to a minecart and all you have to do is set up that minecart there and I'll show you the concept in a second however there is a problem here although we have access to our lovely underground base to get out we do need to set up a quick piston door but hopefully you guys know how to do that it's not too difficult and even I managed it with my very limited redstone knowledge and I will show you how this concept works now and this is pretty much all you need it also works vertically as well as horizontally and you just need that one gap to set it up a place a block then a rail and stick a minecart on the top delete the block and the minecart will fall down and this is pretty much all set up now all you have to do is on the other side walk up to it and right-click however it's quite easy to keep it secret as you need to get really close and know exactly where it is in order to get through and that's pretty much the entire concept very very simple however you might want to secure your minecarts location as you can push them around next up I want to show you a couple of tricks using the lava pool this is an entirely natural lovable I have not touched it apart from adding the base there so and I recommend you do the same as it is the most believable so all you do is jump in jump straight in it shouldn't hurt you if you give yourself some height and you have your little secret base directly underneath the lava pool because it's so counterintuitive to jump in lava that it just makes it so perfect however you will need to make a custom way out so I'll show you the concept for this one too and it is really really simple all you need to do is under the love and the top layer there is our proverbial lava pool the natural one and underneath we have a set of signs followed by a layer of water and layer again underneath with some more signs so that they float now if you jump in very shortly like that you're going to damage yourself you need to jump from height which is exactly why I use the tree so that you just get some momentum and fall straight through without taking damage the great thing about a lava base is that people will not tend to jump in it however you may be discovered if someone is going around collecting lava and they'll think oh that's a nice base so something to bear in mind next up is another lava trick and all you need is a fishing rod you throw into the lava let it sink and it will open up your trap door which you have made with redstone you then drop in and retract your fishing rod and there you are you're inside your base there is however no exit unless you make a custom one and the concept for it is very very simple again using something similar to the last one we have a top layer of lava then some signs to keep it floating with some wooden pressure plates are very important that they are wooden so that when you use a fishing rod on it it sends a redstone signal underneath so you do need quite a lot of depth underneath the lava pool to make this happen but as soon as you retract it away it will stop the signal so you need to put it down hop in the hole and then retract the fishing rod to close the door it is entirely controlled by you and what's great about this design is that it doesn't require much redstone in fact most of the ones that I've shown you don't require much redstone apart from the exits that you will probably have to make but I do trust that you can make those little piston doors or you can find multiple tutorials on YouTube I'm no great shakes at redstone at all next up is just a simple door a Raider would come in maybe take a look around delete a couple of blocks open a couple of chess see that there's nothing and leave because what Raider goes inside a base turns around and shuts the door behind them and that reveals your real base where you keep your actual stuff now this is a bit of a risk because chances are they will discover it just by destroying a few blocks here or there but the concept behind it is very very simple indeed so as you can see by the glass container all you need is a door because as you open it it actually blocks off the way to your secret entrance so as you come in all you have to do is close the door to reveal the secret entrance into your other side of your base now obviously this is very risky as I mentioned earlier but the concept is very simple and you could use this in a multitude of situations not just hiding a base the last two I want to show you actually require a little bit of redstone some a lot of redstone so for this design all you have to do is throw a block into a very specific block on the floor that will open up your door this is a very clever design and requires quite a lot of redstone and you walk in you walk over the pressure plate and it closes the door behind you and they are in your hidden base and to get out you walk out just the same way as you came in and it will close behind you this concept is a bit complicated and you could throw any item on the floor to open up the door and only you would know about it so unless someone went digging around they would have no idea that this was here so now I'm going to show you the concept behind this and here is the conceptual design this is very simple and quite compact and that redstone torch there is the output you could even copy the design very simply just by looking at what I've got there so essentially what happens is when you have a minecart with a hopper in it when you throw something from a block above it falls straight through and into the minecart itself it's quite easy and then it sends a redstone signal and that redstone signal is what triggers the door to open if you wanted to take it one step further this is what you need for the whole thing to work and this is probably a really good opportunity to thank my friend sage build who put this together for me I did look it up it is on the internet already however this design I believe is unique redstone as he made it before my very eyes and I absolutely loved the design I honestly couldn't tell you how it worked exactly so I'm going to take a pan around if you wanted to copy it yourself just so you could see all the little details and if you wanted to replicate it that's exactly what I have no problem with you doing so I'm actually going to put this map up for download because normally I don't want you to copy me block for block but that applies to buildings I am really outside my comfort zone here with redstone and if you wanted more redstone help I recommend checking out my friend mumbo jumbo who does some fantastic redstone tutorials and he would probably look at this and know how to make it ten times smaller or something like that but it is really really easy to do by the looks of things he even color-coordinated it so that each bit did a different function and finally I have the last one to show you and all you need is a hoe and you hold the ground it resets and opens the door very simple to do it is very quick so you need to be quick about getting into your hidden base and then all you have is a button to get out again so the concept behind this is a block update system by hoeing the ground you update the block which triggers a redstone signal and I've marked the particular block using a poppy however if you just know where your block is you don't even need to worry about that and the concept behind it is actually quite simple and compact you might not even need to download the world to get this one because you could copy it yourself so similarly to the drop door I want to just show you the concept behind it by hoeing this you actually activate the redstone underneath which is entirely compact so hopefully just by giving you a quick pan around to show you the design you could copy this very simply yourself and the output signal is there so that opens up the door further along the line so even I who is not very good at read Stone could make this given the opportunity very simple design just to give a simple redstone output that's it for me those are all the six designs that I wanted to show you now I do want to point out that these are not original I knew some of these from years ago back when I used to play survival minecraft so please don't think I've stolen them from another creator or something like that because to be honest with you these have been in the community for such a long time I do want to take this opportunity also to thank sage builds
