503 Service Unavailable Error in WordPress using Godaddy Server

[Music] alright guys welcome back to another video today I want to talk about this error message that a lot of people get and honestly if you try to google it there's so much mixed information out there that you honestly don't even know what to think so what is the veal 503 service temporary unavailable error now you get this error message for many reasons it could be a plugin it could be a theme it could be a misbehaved custom PHP script it could be insufficient server resources it could be a service glitch it could be a Mikan attack on your server now here's the easiest way to fix this and this is something I have learned now for example of you I have this WooCommerce website and I'm running the if you go to WooCommerce and they go to status I have I'm running the PHP version 5.6 now for those who are new I'm gonna get so technical with this but just up the PHP is a basically language that communicates a server with the WordPress and more press with the new workers that just came out the 5.03 it's recommended that you run the PHP 7 ok so I'm gonna show you how to upgrade that and Adam how to solve this 503 server error so again it's best if you run that PHP 7 so if you have a good daddy log in to your server okay there's just go to your cPanel and then from your cPanel you're gonna notice here on the right hand side file usage memory this is basically this one if you if you have that 503 error this CPU use it will be soon all the way to the end you have almost 100 and every time you want to update or make changes to your website you will get that error message so one of the easiest way to do this is from here this is the new cPanel whoa I'll go GoDaddy simply go to it's gonna be under okay other software select PHP version now here's thing if you currently have the 5.6 okay go ahead and trim the Dow drop down drop down select 7.0 or select the 7.2 now depending on how old your the plugins you have or they're not updated that might cause some issues if that if you feel that after making this change your site's down or whatever you can simply come back and change that back to the 5.6 okay so in this systems having of the newest PHP version will actually speed the speed of your site and you will get less errors okay so we're gonna go ahead and click here we're going to go actually we're here if we look here is recommending the 7.2 okay so we're gonna go back seven point two and one of the things you want to check is this the zip otherwise you're gonna get some error message just for some plugins so it's very important you check this zip box check this and then set s current okay so as you can see this has changed now we go back to our wordpress site we're gonna go ahead refresh let's see if we reads it right away there you go so now we got a green so as you can see we have updated and I guarantee you I can almost guarantee you that you upgrading this PHP server version will will fix that 503 service error okay another thing I will suggest will be update your theme or update your plugins and update the WordPress version that you have otherwise you gonna continue get that error message and it's just gonna drive you the same and that's pretty much it that's how simple it is to upgrade your your PHP on another video I'm going to show you how to update the memory on your WordPress us well like for example if you go to a media and it had new I'm gonna update this see how it says the maximum upload I'm gonna teach you how to update that the memory the load time and all that good stuff so make sure you use it you hit that subscribe button for more videos coming up
