50 Cent and The Cast of 'Den of Thieves' Talk Intense Training & Why They Love The Film

[Music] sup guys jinx here for complex news and I'm sitting here with the full cast of den of thieves how you guys doing today good guys I saw the film sometimes jinx here with complex news and I'm saying with the full cast it didn't thieves how you guys doing today guys I saw the film I wouldn't expect him like an action shoot-'em-up film it's a lot more the movies smart this got a lot of twists and turns to full heist film I was telling him off camera it's like Ocean's eleven but rated R and like all the Disney like it's like it's oh we can cousins that's how I'm describing this movie what individually what attracted you guys to the film well when I read the script for the first time I was about six years ago and I was really reading to differentiate good from bad like I got my agent to get me some of the scripts go out there that they felt like weren't really really good he actually brought within a day so I went to it then I end up meeting Christian at the same time for it too right I got the script but he got it like to actually be in it I was just figuring out what's going no cuz I got you know I got a feel like I've got my finger on the pulse of what's going on and to do that you got to differentiate between good and you know the bad so you can make the right decisions yeah you know you described it beautifully big you you read the script and it's like you claim into these two families and it's just not it flips a lot of these cliches on their head you know there's nobody that's particularly good or bad you understand the kind of the decency in the court that that the criminals have and you also understand how messed up the cops can be in the world that they live in but you see the brilliance and their dedication and it's about to do under this thing so when you guys get into these roles at preparation I'm sure there's a lot of skills training is a lot of reading but do you guys use music ever to get into inter character to stay in the same place if I find something that matches the character will have it into play there's a point that was outside of donut shop and I was like playing music in my head cuz was there for a while but that deal with this [ __ ] up yeah yeah it's the opening sequence oh we had what's name's Chris Brown stuff he's at the time I think it was I mean something he did with Gemma we're almost a new song had just came out my guess is a killer well yeah yeah but that's was it killer listen to see killer will say when you see it come up like you go you know I'll just say oh look at him he looks like I can tell it looks like just like this year cuz you know I just don't give a [ __ ] when it's time he was enjoying himself otherwise and there's a funny I was down and gardenia with Christian one time he used to take us out for drives and go over all the areas that he lived in know that the movie was going to be set in and while we were driving through this area says dude I have this amazing song for this movie are you gonna listen this song I put on this song called sunny tails you know right mellow you don't know that song I don't put it on he's like are you [ __ ] kidding me he pulls out his Dana thieves playlist and the number one song is sunny tails there's gonna be like a 1 in 10 billion yeah yeah I name you know okay we're all in this we're on the single yeah how it was the training for the film cuz you guys I mean everything was intense it was we food or military training while they were doing tactical training for law enforcement but he I got into it so much that he was like what the [ __ ] why I'm like chill about moments we showed up a couple weeks before filming to do training so it was pretty extensive I didn't move II called 13 hours that there was a lot of training for that as well and we actually did I would say more extensive training for this than we did for that oh yeah which is you know he really expect that cuz he did that training I knew what to do kind of had it yes like how to operate the prisoners and stuff like that entry point because the the relationship of the cab from mayor to the rest of his crew is he's already team leader you know and he comes in talking quietly and leading by example and so for me to come into that training with a little bit of a head start on the rest of the guys with with the weapons training it was good because I got to get in and show these guys about the guns a little bit and and so it really kind of kicked off that relationship and established how the relationships were gonna go in the over the course of the film oh yeah what I was upset about they get to do all this cool like corn or fanout [ __ ] right you know like very strategic looking beastie meanwhile I'm not MSC why do I gotta be here at 8:00 in the morning when that's 5:00 in the morning la time so you know I had a lot of creative differences ending chatting up [Applause] set to a guy called J was fine and then all of a sudden we had a bit of a cold snap I'll show up one morning about thirty eight o'clock I got all my chips you had to go to Sundance room yeah I gotta go to Sundance hasn't got a movie do what I love me at guys um right at the time when can the people see this in theaters January 19th the Cynthia this and um January 20th 21st your second yeah every day after that pretty much go every day after that what is separate going more expensive theaters if you have to thank you thank you [Music]
