Hi, Violet. Hi Ryan. HI. Hi. OK, so, I talked
to you backstage. You're five years old,
and we didn't really talk about why you love
Dolly Parton so much. What is it about Dolly Parton? Because she has a
beautiful voice and she gives books to kids in need. Yeah, that's really
call that she does that. So she started because Dolly
sends these books out, right? Yeah, Dolly's
Imagination Library. It's her philanthropic program. I believe you have
to qualify if you live in a school
district that's like, a lower income school
districts or, I'm not sure exactly what
the qualifier is. But they send you a
free book every month. Some of Violet's favorite
books have come from Dolly. And there's a little
photograph of Dolly Parton on the back page of every
book that she sends. And Violet's whole life,
we've talked about, this is a book from Dolly. Dolly sent you this book. And so she sort of just
took an interest to her. And I'm a musician and so I
started playing some Dolly Parton songs for Violet,
and she's just sort of fallen in love with her, so. Dolly's a lovable person. She really is, I think
everybody loves Dolly Parton. What do you know about
Dolly's life, Violet? That she, her mama
made a coat for her. A coat of many colors for her. Yes. And she wore it to school and
all the kids laughed at her. And then Dolly Parton
told her friends, but her friends
couldn't understand it. Right. Well, sometimes the
friends don't understand it and yet Dolly was right, right? Yeah. She helped fund Moderna
with the COVID-19 vaccine, that's pretty cool right? Did you learn about that? Did you know that? Yeah. Yeah. Wow. OK. And you're singing Jolene
today, what is that song about? Tell me what Jolene is about. Jolene is about a
girl named Jolene and she wanted to
take Dolly's man. Yeah, she tried to
take Dolly's man. That's right. All right, well, do you
want to perform now? Mhm. I can't wait. OK. Thanks, Violet. [APPLAUSE] [MUSIC - DOLLY PARTON, "JOLENE"] Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene. I'm begging of you,
please don't take my man. Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene. Please don't take him
just because you can. Your beauty is beyond
compare with flaming locks of auburn hair, with ivory
skin, and eyes of emerald green. Your smile is like
a breathe of spring, your voice is soft
like summer rain, and I cannot compete
with you, Jolene. He talks about you in
his sleep and there's nothing I can do to
keep from crying, when he calls your name, Jolene. And I can easily understand how
you could easily take my man, but you don't know what
he means to me, Jolene. Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene. I'm begging of you,
please don't take my man. Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene. Please don't take him
just because you can. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE] All right, we have something
for Violet when we come back. We'll be back. So that was really good. I love that song and I
love you singing that song. So, you love Dolly Parton. Do you know about Dollywood? Have you heard about Dollywood? Mhm. Yeah. Have you been there? No. No? Well, you know what's
going to happen now is our friends at Shutterfly,
because they really love celebrating this moment
with you, they want to send you and your family
on an all expenses paid vacation to
Dollywood in Tennessee. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]
