5 Tips & Tricks for YOUR Mercedes Benz

[Music] hi everyone and welcome to this week's video on my youtube channel now this week we're looking at five tips and tricks for your mercedes-benz now as I've always always mentioned there are lots of models out there on the sadies so I've tried to cover the tips and tricks tailor to the different models so hopefully one of these will apply to your car well guys so tip and trick number one the first thing I've got shoe then is a recirculation memory mode so say you have your windows down kind of a bit like this so you may be able to see the back one just over here is kind of just near the top and this one's here I've actually got the sunroof open just on vent as well but let's say you're driving down the road and you come across some smoke or something like that or you go into a tunnel or something like that you know where you can get your ears sometimes you're gonna tunnel at speeds of the different air pressures and it's what you can do if your windows are open and you need to close them rather than go I'll put the windows up windows up on the roof and it takes your eye off the road you can hold the recirculation button down and it will put all the windows up and it shut the roof and it's obviously putting the recirculation on as well to stop in the air and coming in now as soon as you've gone past that thing that you want to do so say you've gone through that tunnel you're out the other side or you've gone through that smoke or as bad smells roaders outside hold to the button again and they'll go back to exactly the same place how cool was that so the other tip and trick I have is actually on the climate control on the city lands cars now some cars have dual zone climate control where you have a different temperature either side for the passenger and the driver this one does have that however on most cars they have an auto button or a menu button on the climate control so the idea is if you have someone who's changed all the temperatures both sides and set the aircon off and you just want to reset everything back to normal hold the menu button or hold the auto button depending on the type of car and it will reset everything back to normal now some say these bends also have keyless go now what keyless go does I have the key in my pocket and the car is currently locked if you put your hand behind the handle it will unlock it says really really clever saves you fumbling in your pockets for keys and trying to find the unlock button now to lock it you just tap this quite cool however if you wanted to switch that off using the actual key just press the lock button twice and now a little red LED light will just stay on for a couple of seconds longer now this is now switched off so you can't use the keyless go system to switch it back on just press unlock now favorites you can assign favorites to most functions in cars so to access the favorites menu you need to be located in this area so if you have a wheel will the touchpad here as well it will usually be here if you don't have that and you have mbx or something with only a touchpad it will probably have the favorite menu just over here all having said that you can access it through the screen as well so what does a favorites menu actually do well the favorites menu actually assigns favorites so these could be sat-nav favorites places you go to regularly on the sat-nav phonebook favorites people you phone daily weekly friends family coach close friends that kind of thing and also vehicle functions so in some cars like the ambient light you've seen in some previous videos you can assign those to be favorites so the young deer is with the favorites menu is that you customize it to how you want it to be but let's customize it so if we go to radio and let's say we go to Wave 105 or something like that or I don't know radio one if we hold star on that favorite you'll make a little button and now we can move him across and pop him wherever we like and that's now saved in that favorite menu so let's say for instance we weren't listening to that and we were driving somewhere else and we wanted to get back to that station you can just press the star and your favorites are here so your favorite radio stations on your contacts or things at night so I can just go - that's untapped r81 and it's on the screen straightaway pretty clever now my next step in trick is to change the radio or the media source without actually losing the sat-nav screen so let's take a good example we've got the Sat Nav going at the moment and you're driving up the road and you know you've got to do a turnin soon but you want to change the radio station well option one you could go into radio change the radio station then go back to Navi and you just miss your turning so that could happen however in most mercedes-benz cars there is a little next track button usually just located around here somewhere if there's a touchpad it will probably be just around here with a next track button in the middle but in this one it's just here when you press this it'll bring up like a submenu along the bottom and all you do is just spin this around you can still see the sat-nav but you can change the radio all the media track without actually losing the screen and that's it on just press the back button and you're back to normal and there we go guys that concludes the five tips and tricks that I have to share with you today now I did say five but I've got a bonus tip and trick to share with everyone so for that we'll need to go outside so guys for my bonus tip and trick almost Eddie's Benz models have a thing called a Hulk feature this does also apply to automatics and manuals so take for example if we pop the card to drive and we would go for a little drive down the road now with all automatics and including manuals when you come to a stop in an automatic if you take your foot off the brake pedal you'll start to go forward like this now in a manual you could all see roll backwards or forwards so what mercedes-benz have done is implement a hold feature and what that hold feature does is hold you where you are so to do this with the brake pedal just give it a hard pump down to the floor and on the screen over here we will see in capital letters the word hold now the car will not move until you accelerate and then away we go really really easy and over again everyone that concludes this week's video on the five tips and tricks on your Mercedes Benz I'm hoping that at least one two if not three if not all of them all these tips and tricks they apply to your car if you have any comments please do leave them in the comment section down below and give that like button as well if any of the tips of tricks are they covered your Mercedes Benz that's it for now see you soon
