everybody never do this after you pray number one after you pray do not cherish any sin these people draw near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips but their heart is far from me Matthew 15 and verse number 8 but your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he will not hear Isaiah 59 verse 2 many times he delivered them but they rebelled in their counsel and were brought low for their iniquity nevertheless he regarded their affliction when he heard their cry isn't that good news that even though we've rebelled many of us have back slid in the past and yet when we come to him he's ready hit to hear our cry if I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear but certainly God has heard me he has attended to the voice of my prayer blessed be God who has not turned away my prayer nor his mercy from a psalm 66:18 2:20 one who turns away his ear from hearing the law even its prayer is an abomination proverbs 28 verse 9 proverbs 1 verse 28 then they were calling me but I will not answer they will seek me diligently but they will not find me if we cherish sin our prayers can be hindered and so don't hold on to cherish sin it'll bring you down it'll drown you spiritually we must stop living in known sin if you're a gambler you need to give it up if you are addicted to porn or alcohol you need to give it up by the power and grace of Jesus Christ if you cherish sin it can block your prayers so number 2 do not speak contrary and act contrary to your prayers Jesus is the perfect example of living out his fervent prayers he prayed and he obeyed it could excuse me the Bible says in John and Jesus lifted up his eyes and said father I thank you that you have heard me and I know that you always hear me John 11 verses 40 to 43 and so notice there Jesus is our perfect example he believed that his father heard him always why because he sought to please his father notice with it we bless our God and Father and with it we curse men who have been made in the similar to Dove God and out of the same mouth perceived blessing and cursing my brethren these things ought not to be so James 3 9 to 10 in other words after you pray for blessing don't use your mouth for cursing but now you yourselves are to put off all these anger wrath malice blasphemy filthy language out of your mouth Colossians 3 verse 8 in other words don't pray and then allow your mouth to be filled with anger and wrath and malice and blasphemy and filthy language and what about what about Jesus said about if you don't forgive but if you do not forgive men their trespasses neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:15 in other words if you pray for forgiveness you need to forgive and if after you've prayed and then you cherish a lack of forgiveness in your heart you cherish bitterness and hostility and anger and you refuse to forgive someone and you do that after you pray you are killing your prayers you must guard your prayers with obedience you must say I forgive you you must forgive your enemies do not talk unbelief instead talk faith if any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God all right so you pray to God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him but let him ask in faith with no doubting for hew doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind for let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord he is a double-minded man unstable in all his ways so if we pray to God for wisdom we must deering and after our prayer hold on to the promises hold on to this promise God said ask him for wisdom and he promised that if we don't waver we believe that it gives us wisdom then we shall have wisdom now he did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief Matthew 13 58 so Jesus weeps over those who after they pray they go back to their unbelief or while they're praying they're really not praying in faith we need to be careful about that because that can block miracles and blessings so distress father confronted Jesus has said that the disciples could not cast out the demons from his demon-possessed son then Jesus told him if he would believe all things are possible and so what happened immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears lord I believe help my unbelief then Jesus delivered the suppress and possessed boy from the demons because the father confessed the sin of unbelief and chose to believe Jesus so jesus said to them the disciples asked why couldn't we cast out the demons Jesus said because of your unbelief for certainly I say to you you know if you have faith as a mustard seed you will say to this mountain move from here to there and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you so in other words when you pray pray in faith what do you do after you pray in faith you keep having faith you guard your prayer with faith and you keep declaring with your mouth nothing is impossible with God Lord I believe you God I cherish your promises Jesus you're not a liar so I think about their children of Israel so we see that they could not enter into the promised land except for Caleb and Joshua because of unbelief hebrews 3:19 talk and unbelief can not only keep you from receiving what God longs to give you but it can cost you eternal life number three do not forget the promises of God remember the word to your servant upon which you have caused me to hope this is my comfort in my affliction for your word has given me life Psalms 119 49 250 praise God now before do not stop thanking God that he has heard you look here everybody I want to share with you a few passages this is absolutely a powerful listen to what the Bible says you want to thank God you want to have a testimony that God has heard your prayers listen to this psalms 116 verse 1 I love the Lord because he has heard my voice and my supplications I love that passage Psalms 1 16 verse 1 Psalm 6 verse 9 I love the book psalms you want to be encouraged read The Book of Psalms the Lord has heard my supplication the Lord will receive my prayer do you hear that do you hear the ring of that the tone of that it's a faith blessed be the Lord because he has heard the voice of my supplications Psalms 28 verse 6 how about this one and my tongue shall speak of our righteousness and of thy praise all the day long in other words I'm going to say thank you Jesus and praise him all day long that he's heard my prayers listen to these scriptures listen listen this this is so important so important listen to this Psalms 119 verse 167 don't you go anywhere you need this Psalms 119 verse 167 seven times a day I praise you praise and with your lips you here Psalms 89 verse 16 in your name they rejoiced all day long and in your righteousness they are exalted Psalms 44 verse 8 in God we boast all day long and praise your name forever notice all day long praising the Lord this is how you guard your prayer this is how praise prepares type it in their praise prepares and so notice here this is so powerful so powerful now this is very important this is very important I want to share something with you this is gonna help you this is going to help you in your walk with the Lord after you pray for God's guidance watch for his Providence you prayed Lord I need your guidance well what do you do after you pray do you like I wonder if God heard me you're killing your prayer I wonder if God's gonna really answer me don't do that don't go there begin to just praise him anyway you say well what if I don't feel like it praise them anyway what if I don't see answers praise them anyway prays prepares so you say well mark I'm praying for God's guidance then look for his Providence alright alright so number two after you pray for forgiveness then refuse to take the guilt up again leave it at the foot of the cross and don't pick it up again if you've asked for forgiveness then throughout the day thank you Lord you've forgiven me for my sins he's their mark you don't know my past God does and if you confess it it's forgiven it's forgiven hallelujah God forgives you if you will trust it right now not one day in the future right now if you ask the Lord forgive me he'll forgive you it's not based on feeling it's based on if it's in the Bible we want it if it's not in the Bible we don't want we want is rich promises 2nd Peter chapter 1 2nd Peter chapter 1 verses 3 & 4 talks about those precious promises that give us power there's life spiritual life giving power in these promises that we can become like Christ he said mark I want to be like Jesus his promises change us if you believe the power of even one verse like come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest you hold on to that one promise you will have rest you hold on to that promise you will go free that's why we named our ministry our our nonprofit organization called forever free ministries you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free you needed this you need God knew that you needed this Bible teaching now listen to this after you give God your burdens after you pray and you give him your burdens what do you do leave the burdens there cast your burden on the Lord Psalms 55 verse 22 cast your burdens on the Lord and He will sustain you Psalms 55 verse 22 casting all your care upon him because he cares for you 1st Peter 5 verse 7 do not worry about tomorrow Matthew 6:34 hold on to these promises hold on to these promises number four after you pray for God to bless your marriage then be loving to your wife husbands love your wives Ephesians 5 verse 25 is st. mark I'm praying for my marriage I want to try to have my husband be more loving then wives the Bible says be submissive to your husbands that's very important husbands love your wives well my wife is not really submissive to me love her anyway and and wives what if your husband's not really being that loving still be still be respectful to him respect your husband now remember your husband is not God God is God so your conscience you must follow your conscience no matter what but the Bible makes it very clear that the husband is the head of the home so wives you're praying for your marriage let your husband be the head of the home but husbands if you are wanting to your marriage to be a blessing then make your wife feel secure in your love that she knows that she's number one in your life that you love her with all of your heart happy is the home and the marriage that has Jesus Christ has this Center I know what I'm talking about been married 20 32 years and I praise God that we've been learning these things each year and so number 5 after you pray for God to bless your health don't go back to smoking don't don't go back to a bad lifestyle get exercise drink water get your sleep take care of yourself next after you pray for God to bless your finances don't throw your money away I don't have time to get into all that in other words honor God honor God and I could get into many of these other things maybe just one more you're praying for the salvation of your children then after you pray love them and claim promises like Isaiah 49 24 and 25 that says what does it say there it says there that God will contend with him the contended with you and he will save your children Isaiah 49 24 and 25 and so believe these promises believe after you pray act in faith act in harmony with your prayers when the Bible says when the Bible says watch unto prayer 1st Peter 4 verse 7 means guard your prayers seek to answer your own prayers as much as you're able to you're praying for a job then ask God to bless and after you pray go look for a job and and let God lead ok we need to move on here now next graphic do not stop thank you God that he has heard and do not stop praying I think about what Jesus said in Luke 18 then he spoke a parable to them that men always ought to pray and not lose heart saying that there was a widow that wanted justice and she came to an unjust judge and said get justice for me from my adversary but he wouldn't listen to her he told her basically to get lost and and so then she didn't know what to do so she wouldn't give up you see her in this picture she's in line again and she once again pleads with him please please have mercy on me and he says woman I can't help you do you think she gave up no she gets in line again you know according to these pictures you know so then she keeps the Bible says Jesus parable says that she kept bothering the unjust judge she wouldn't go away after she pleaded with him she kept pleading and kept pleading and kept pleading so after we pray we must keep praying we must keep praying and you know what Bible makes it very clear Jesus makes it very clear and eventually that unjust judge said okay okay okay I'll give you justice and the woman was so elated so jubilant then the Lord said hear what the unjust judge said he shall God not avenge his own elect who cry out day and night to him though he bears long with him I tell you that he will avenge them speedily nevertheless when the Son of Man comes will he really find faith on the earth that's the question do you have faith after you pray do you have faith do you have faith when you pray you must believe that you receive the things you asked for if you want to receive them mark 11:24 so don't forget what you pray have a prayer journal write it down don't forget don't forget the key things you're praying for let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering after you pray don't waver if you feel like you're wavering ask God for help for he who promised is faithful therefore do not cast away your confidence which has great reward Hebrews 10:23 and 10:35 let us not grow weary while doing good for in due season we shall reap if we do not give up if we do not lose heart so as we close now are you gonna give up don't do it after you pray are you gonna go back to unbelief don't do it after you pour your heart out to God you're gonna go back to cherishing
