so one of the things I love about my channel is to be able to help you make the car buying process easier matter of fact the car slogan that I have is buying a car doesn't have to suck so with that being said some things that I've never seen on the Internet is from an active salesperson of telling you what you do wrong when you're buying a car well congratulations you're gonna get that information today and it should help you make your car buying purchase much easier the next time you come to a place like this hey everyone welcome back to the channel I hope you are having a fantastic day it is absolutely beautiful here in Louisville Kentucky and wow it's the end of February it's probably gonna be like 5 degrees tomorrow but today absolutely beautiful in this video I'm gonna have a whole lot of fun because I'm gonna share with you things that make car buying experience bad that you do to yourself yes I don't think anybody has ever shared with you things from inside that building in the dealership that you do that make salesmen have nightmares but also cause you nightmares but before I begin I think I say this every single video make sure you hit the subscribe button turn your belt notifications on leave a like leave a comment down below and for those of you on the notification squad guess what there is a $50 gift card to Amazon the first person who can load that into their Amazon account gets it all I do is load that into your Amazon account and it's your $50 we're gonna start off by coming to earlie number one is coming to a dealership too early or contacting the dealership to really you can do all sorts of research without ever contacting a dealership so when you're doing research the proper things you want to do is looking at the market looking at how much your trades worth stuff like that you can all do it over the internet without contacting a dealership so here's how you do it if you're looking for a new or used car some websites that are very helpful to you is number one true car I'm a huge fan of true car true cars a great company especially when it comes to buying a new car you can see what the average new car is selling for in your area you can expand it you can put in different zip codes whatever you want to do also CarGurus is probably the best website when it comes to buying a used car when you're buying a used car car gurus will sit there and tell you verbatim what the market is on that car how long that car has been at the dealership if it's changed dealerships the price drops they've had on that car as well as tells you if it's went from dealer to dealer to dealer and typically speaking they're going to tell you how it is priced overpriced good price fair price Oh severely under price whatever the case may be and then the last one that I love to use is cars.com Kelley Blue Book is in there as well we're going to talk about that in another video but CarGurus true car cars calm Kelley Blue Book those are the four websites to use to make sure you can do proper research without contacting a dealership number two how to pick the proper dealership to work with one of the biggest mistakes that people make is they pick the dealership but they don't pick the salesperson now sales people all over the country there's a lot of great salespeople in this country and they work really really hard to get internet reviews for themselves now one of the best websites that I love out there is dealer rater com dealer rater com not only tells you how well the dealership does based off of sales and service experience but it goes down to the salesperson level as well so if you go out and you start searching for a dealership and you look at that you can go out there and see if a salesperson is actively trying to get their clients to do reviews and one of the tips that dealer rater tells you to do is to do a review away from the dealership so that is a key thing that I really like about deal Raider is they do not allow you to do it you can actually get blacklisted on dealer rater calm if you do reviews inside of the dealership also you can look at Google obviously we know that and then also cars.com owns dealer rater and you can look on cars calm as well for good reviews not only search for car reviews on the car dealership but search for your salesperson as well don't ask the dealership who to work with do the research upfront it'll make your life extremely easy also don't forget this year I am raising funds to give cars back to those in need I need your help and your support and that's by donating or buying some merch at the Chevy distort com check out this new head should we do that Chevy dude logo walk around style it's a flex fit hat I love flex fit hat almost every single one of my best hats our flex fit hats and it's got the Chevy dude autographed there and the Chevy dude logo on the front so check out 70-story com support my cause that helps someone in need of a vehicle this is probably got to be the biggest one that happens most people may not be the most truthful so let's just be straight to the point don't lie be straightforward when it's time for you to contact a dealership you typically have done 45 to 90 days worth of research you typically have done at least six type of contacts to a dealership and nowadays you were contacting one to two dealerships before you're making a purchase when you go to a dealership when you go to a dealership you typically are within three days of purchase in the car car dealerships know this I tell you that information because I know it and it's taught very well by some of the biggest outfits out there Cox Automotive is a huge conglomerate and they have a lot of data true gar is a huge conveyor meant they have a lot of data and they give that data back to the dealerships to use effectively so when you go into a dealership be truthful with your salesperson number one pick your salesperson like I said in the last tip but two that allows you when you pick that salesperson to be more truthful and more upfront my average car deal is like 10 12 minutes I don't mess around I do everything straightforward I get things done I don't negotiate in price I come out with the best price on everything I do so that way you can make a well informed decision within a few minutes though saying yes this works no this does it now if we need to rebuttal and look at fewer things or different things have changed perfect we can do that we can take as much time as you want but that's what happens with my deals so don't lie be straightforward also with that being said set an appointment with the salesperson don't just show up to the dealership yes there are people all over the country waiting outside of dealerships but if you set an appointment you're gonna find that your experience is much better especially when you arrive on time with all of your research that you've done over the last 45 to 90 days if you want a 300 hour car payment make sure you let them know that I cannot go over $300 a month let them know that you're being straightforward let them know that you have no time to waste you've done your research all that good stuff and then move forward if you contact me and you're saying hey I want a 300 our car payment I have no money down and I'm on a $40,000 car I'm gonna very quickly tell you that we need to regroup and move on to something different because that's not gonna work $40,000 car is $800 a month which leads me into number four understand the math you have no idea how many times people come into a dealership and they simply just don't know math let's go with this one here for an example I have a lot of people that come in and looking at new Tahoe's they're like hey if I can be 600 to 800 ollars a month I'll buy a new Tahoe today there isn't a new Tahoe that's six to eight hundred dollars in the market anywhere in this country even when you lease it a typical Tahoe is somewhere around the $65,000 range for an LT with the luxury package a premier is going to be somewhere around the mid 70s so therefore a good rule of thumb is going at 20 dollars for every thousand that you finance so a $60,000 car is gonna be $1,200 a month a $70,000 car is gonna be $1,400 a month that $15,000 car you're looking at $300 a month that $10,000 car you're looking at $200 a month see the math so make sure you understand the math up front and also make sure you understand the interest rates that are available out there a good website to go to is bank rate.com now bank rate.com is a completely I don't know who owns them I don't know anything about them but I really like them because they tell you weekly updates of what rates are on new and used cars now sometimes they are much higher than what you can get locally at your credit union or through a dealership but it's a good rule of thumb to use a higher rate to figure your math rather than a lower rate one point of interest on a $40,000 car is only about $12 per month so we're not talking a huge amount of dollars here so again make sure you understand the math make sure you know how to figure the payments correctly if you are using this right here to figure payments you're already doing it wrong google has a really nice payment calculator and I'm working on a payment calculator coming to my website chevy.com and also down in the description is my app that already has a pay calculator figured into it so you can download my app and use a payment calculator on that as well all right number five go to the dealership when you have the appropriate amount of time to buy a car now typically speaking from very start to the very end it's gonna be a minimum of 90 minutes to purchase a car depending on how busy the dealership is sometimes I do have customers here for three hours and three hours really sucks to be at a car dealership I get that but don't turn it into four or five or six hours and when you come to the dealership ready to do business and not tell the dealership hey I've only got ten minutes they're never gonna be able to complete it you've wasted your time by driving over there you've wasted your time by going into the dealership and you've raised your frustration level it's just probably a little bit of going into the dealership and not getting what you result you come here for one reason it has to purchase or service a car I guess that's two reasons right but you come here to do that you don't come here to buy bread you don't come here buy milk you come here to solve a problem with your automotive needs either fixing or buying so come to the dealership when you have ample amount of time and also what you're interrupting a professional here Bob I'm trying to record a video all right well after my buddy John came up and bugged me let's get into number six you guys know I always try to do just a little bit more and to give back a little bit more than what my title says so we're gonna give you the six thing and I kind of mentioned a little bit of it earlier but I want to be able to tell you come prepared to the dealership if you have a trade-in bring your trade-in if you have the title to your trade-in bring the title to your trailer and make sure you properly file your lien release on your trade if you have paid that off years in advance also I mentioned bring your driver's license your insurance card anything that you think you would need to have during the deal make sure you have it make sure you have access to your paycheck stubs make sure you bank online these are some of the things that dealerships require that is required to them by the banks to get things moving on a car loan so those things will help you make your car buying experience much much easier I hope you enjoyed the video I hope that were something that you learned and will help you make your next car buying experience extremely easy of course if you come see me Chevy do calm or stop by Bachman Chevrolet here in Louisville Kentucky the car buying experience is going to be extremely simple I mentioned those reviews earlier I have over 1200 five-star positive reviews in just the last few years so again check out your salesperson do those five six things that I mentioned in this video and your car buying experience will be extremely easy so I just want to say thank you so much for watching the video as you know I'm giving back to someone a free car and it only helps by your support and that is watching the videos using the Amazon
