5 Things we Like and Dislike about the Intech Sol Horizon

hey fireflies how are you all doing today we are so glad that you've come back to see our little video for those of you who don't know I'm Erica my husband is Michael and we just got a new camper so we wanted to go ahead and show you a few things if you haven't subscribed already or hit that notification Bell please do that share our videos we are so glad that you're here and we hope to do a lot more videos for you in the future for those of you who aren't aware this is a 2023 Horizon Soul by Intec we have the Rover Edition we've named her serenity and here are five things that we like already and five things that we dislike already about her [Music] okay so the first thing that we liked is how modern the design is in this camper it's very minimalistic but functional and we really liked that it wasn't too cluttered or dark in here we have the beautiful Windows the beautiful accent lighting but that that really sold us on the camper it's just how clean and everything it really feels in here the number two thing that we like about the Seoul Horizon Serenity is the windows the number of Windows in this camper just brings in so much Outdoors is so much light and it helps to not make it feel so cramped in here it's got six Windows total two in the bedroom one over the kitchen and three in the dinette including a panoramic front window which will give you great views morning noon and night anytime you want to see them the Third thing that we really liked about this camper is the bathroom let me show you how nice and large it is it is a wet bath but we found that in this size range for camper this is one of the biggest wet baths that we found and that was a big selling point for us but as you can see I am 5'5 and this is how much room I still have left in here above my head I also have plenty of room this way and plenty of room this way so that's actually a very nice thing to have when you're in a very small camper like this in the bathroom we also really like the fact that it's got a porcelain toilet which is really nice and uh I wish we could figure out how to change the plastic seat but not sure how we can do that just yet but it also has the really nice up and down shower faucet so you can move that around any any way you want and and we really like that we can just take it off and use it like that this bathroom definitely was a huge selling point for us so the number four thing that we really like about our soil horizon Serenity is our outdoor kitchen this is a pull-out kitchen is one of the biggest selling points for this camper for us for Erica and I and it's going to give us a lot of enjoyment everywhere we go as far as cooking is concerned now it comes with a single burner griddle top that you have to season before you use it and it comes with a Dometic outdoor refrigerator freezer this opens from either side makes it very convenient while you're cooking and it also is both a 110 and a 12 volt connection so you can use this you can disconnect this and take it wherever you go the fifth thing that we really like about this camper is the beautiful lighting that they put in they were very thoughtful in that and they they really did a good job with that we feel we've got these beautiful accent lights here in the back reading lights you can just use them for accent however you like you can turn them blue you can turn them white they're really lovely then you also have the recessed LED lights throughout the ceiling which definitely make it feel very big in here you don't feel cramped or claustrophobic at all you've got a nice accent light underneath of the cupboard in the kitchen you also have two more of the reading lights up the front also blue or white and outside on the front window is also a beautiful LED blue accent light and when you go out the door there's also a light right out there for coming in and out of the door so we definitely feel like they did a great job on the lighting and we're really impressed and we really like that a lot so the number one thing we dislike about the Horizon is unfortunately the bed orientation in here now the bed that comes with it is actually super comfortable but the problem is is that you have to step over top of whoever you're sleeping with in order to be able to get out of bed in the morning it is still a very spacious bed it's a full Queen but the orientation kind of hinders the overall usefulness second thing that we dislike about the camper is the microwave Unfortunately they did not put in a convection microwave which is slightly disappointing the 2011 r pod that we no longer have did have a convection microwave so because it doesn't have that we did go ahead and buy a air fryer that we can take with us it's fairly lightweight I think it's a four quart it's big enough that we can use that to bake or roast things in if we choose to so we just went ahead and got one of those instead but it would have been nice if this had a convection microwave so the number three thing that we dislike about the solar Horizon unfortunately is the black gray combined tank now for whatever reason they decided not to give you separate tanks in here so anytime that you use either the bathroom or the kitchen or the shower all of it goes into the same holding tank now for boondocking that makes it a little bit more difficult but in the overall is it really going to hinder us probably not and the fourth thing that we dislike about this camper is the refrigerator now all know it is a three-way refrigerator and it is pretty spacious and does have a separate compartment for a freezer it is a little bit smaller than we would have liked now I know in some campers we've seen some with larger and some with smaller it just would have been nice if they could have maybe made it an option to get a slightly bigger fridge in here and maybe done away with this cabinet that's underneath of it now luckily we do have an outdoor kitchen so we do have a Dometic Fridge freezer combo so we can use that either to store refrigerator stuff or freezer stuff so that's okay so the fifth thing that we dislike about our soul Verizon was the TV now it came with an Insignia 720p not a smart TV so one of the first things we did was go out to Best Buy and found this 32 inch TCL 1080p Smart TV to replace it with so we're going to be able to watch all of our movies and our TV shows and much better quality and because the smart will be able to hook up to the wi-fi at any Campground if that's what we want to do now the only problem we had with it is that the mounting is a little bit different so that's going to be one of my first projects is to fix the mounting and I will definitely show you a video of that so thank you for watching this video
