my name is Taylor Martin this is the best MATC and it's time for another EDC weekly and if you're new here I start off every single episode of the EDC weekly with community announcements because it's a community show so if you're not interested in giveaways news videos that I've made or are upcoming and other goodies that pertain to the community and just skip forward to whenever it is after the intro rolls and watch the rest of video with that said I've got a couple of things coming up very very soon that I think you guys are gonna be very interested in one is rake knives I've got a video I've been sitting on these knives for quite some time I've been needing to make this video for a while and I finally gotten around to it rake knives will be coming up soon as well as our company but before both of those there are something very special happening early next week and that will be a video on tact I'll turn a lot of you have been carrying and submitting tactile turn pins a tactile turn is doing something different and I've got something very special right here on my desk and this right here is one-of-a-kind well not one-of-a-kind but I am one of the very few people right now who have one of these and this is the bak or bolt action knife from tactile turn so very much like a bolt action pin you have a bolt action mechanism for your knife it locks in place it's got a really really great action very strong spring and this one is made out of copper I have a feature that will include this as well as other bolt action pins and other goodies from textile turn coming early next week and he's also got a Kickstarter for this right here at the bak so stay tuned for that next up last week I said that I was giving away a key smart in the mossy oak finish and I said just comment down below tell me whether you do or do not carry a key organizer of some sort and why why you do or why you do not and there were a ton of comments a lot of you surprisingly do not use key organizers but there was one comment in particular from somebody who does currently carry a key organizer who I can sympathize with comment comes from Richey Kirby I selected this comment because I know how it feels I actually created a DIY key organizer a leather one way back in the day and his comment says that it's not the same you don't get the same kind of torque when you're using a soft key organizer as you do when you're using a key smart or a key bar and that's very true when you're using a rigid key organizer like a key bar when you put the key in the the keyhole and turn it it's like a screwdriver it's very much like a tool and you have a lot more torque and grip on your keys a small little detail but it matters to some people and thank you for your comment Richie I will be in touch about your key smart and next up I want to keep the ball rolling with giveaways because you guys seem to like them I like giving you guys stuff and next up we have a best MATC version of gale that's the theme I'm just running out of ideas already not really I'm just kidding there are tons and tons and tons of things that I want to do in the very near future what would that said this is the last March EDC weekly so don't forget if you haven't submitted already be sure to get your submission in but also you will need to resubmit in April so you're entered into the next giveaway and next month I'm actually going to start the fix my EDC thing I will change the submission form I will update everything I will come up with a better name for it but basically what it will be is starting in April as you will submit your EDC with a question or something you would like fixed with your EDC I will give constructive criticism on how you can improve it either by minimizing it or adding a piece of gear taking away a piece of gear whatever it may be I will also rely on the discord and the people in there to give me feedback on people's submissions so if you want to commentate on these and these carries so it's a community effort I'm really excited about that and it's gonna start in April but all that's out of the way now let's get into the show these are themed EDC's and that's the theme for this week let's do the thing I'll have you know I'm drinking coffee this weekend not whiskey because I'm actually here early it's the middle of the day on a Wednesday I normally shoot these at like 10:00 p.m. on a Thursday so look at me getting things done ahead of schedule yeah look at me no it's because I've been lazy this week the only reason we're only on video number two instead of video number three this week so yeah my life is a lie anyway first up we have a submission from Dakota if they did not have any social media to share so you can find them somewhere over on the website I don't know where you can find Dakota effort this carry is a blackout carry and it's really really nicely put together it's totally blacked out but there were a ton of blackout carries and I think I should probably do another blackout episode at some point in the near future but of course April is all the fix your EDC sort of deal but first if we have a Glock 19 June 5 and attached to that is an O like Pio mini Valkyrie flashlight and he also has a spare magazine below that with a plus 5 extension beside that is his wallet of choices SD Magpul dhaka everyday wallet and above that is his phone which is the iPhone 10 R which he carries in an OtterBox symmetry case to the right of that is his watch which is the Apple watch Series one which he has in what he calls a basic Amazon protective case and above that he has two knives first knife is the spyderco tenacious in all black out with the coated blade and attach of that is a paracord lanyard with a stormtrooper lanyard speed and above that is the kershel emerson CQC 8 k and on that he also has another pair for lanyard with a skull bead on that one and finally to the far left of the photo to the left of the clock is his multi tool which is the Gerber crucial and all Dakota has to say is this is my off-duty EDC included are the tools that are constantly used especially their iPhone in the Gerber crucial as you can tell I'm a huge fan of blacked out EDC the tenacious was a gift from a family member and it's been in my pocket ever since I love your channel keep it up well you really spoke to me here with the blackout totally themed EDC and a solid pallet wood background that's the token right there theme your EDC and a wooden background I'm so predictable no seriously whoever I don't know where that came from like obviously I like wooden backgrounds like they just have a lot of texture and I like the way they look and I like wood I like I like wooden backgrounds but at some point that became like the standard for the EDC weekly submission and I scroll through my Google Drive and it is nothing but wooden backgrounds there's like one out of every 10 that's not a wooden background so I just want to put this out there you don't you don't have to have a wooden background to get it featured that's it's a lie it's a lie it's not true anyway I think this is really well put together you got a mixture of nice gear and also some pretty budget gear like odor odor technology I would consider that budget gear anyway Thank You Dakota for submitting this picture I think it looks really really great you have a smooth brass with a bronze clip and inside that he has the lamby M 21 BK refills inside that wallet he also carries a metal comb works brass compact pocket comb on top of his wallet he also has a Zippo in brass and the top left of the photo is the Cajun leather works pocket protector and inside that he carries the kvitko we put fountain pen and smooth brass with a gold nib inside that he also has the Montblanc permanent black international standard cartridge refill and he also has a peak keychain Eiger the momentary switch and a prometheus titanium clip and then to the far left bottom of the photo there is the brass works b/w sak pioneer ex in brass which has the brass liners has that attached to a Griffin pocket tool in brass using quick release keychain magnets that are encased in brass and the top right of the photo are his keys and everything on the keychain he has the hillsides Japanese brass key ring and all of the gear is attached to that using night.i as locking s in brass coloring or not exactly brass he has a Griffin pocket tool mini in brass a lemon squirt ps4 with bronze sleeves he also has the mech army illumine x3 in brass and finally in the middle of the photo is his watch which is the citizen Alta cron beat in 5 0 3 0 - 0 6 e sexy name Oh lots of stuff here in a lot of breasts a lot of breath this took effort this took a lot of effort and a lot of money to put together because it's hard to find some of these items in brass or at least brass color anyway Gregory says Taylor I absolutely enjoy the channel keep up the great work I work in cybersecurity industry and have been carrying some of the customized EC since the mid 1990s starting with my wallet which is carried in the back right pocket it is a David Allen wallet I've used a Giotto type wallet for several decades the David Allen wallet has been hands-down the best one I've ever had with the best features of all of them unfortunately they stopped making them I have a ton of pad refills to keep it fresh thanks to the team over at us a pad comm the CAV a code literally put ball pin and I just have to say I've been calling it a quake o for a very long time and I only recently learned this past week that the company kvitko is from Germany so it's kvitko not Kawai Co the W is pronounced like a B obviously SOPA Vega Vaco I see it I don't want to say Kawai co but it is a vago the kvitko lilliput ballpoint pen is a retractable click pin that speeds up note-taking response hidden away is the metal comb works brass compact comb for what I need to make occasional adjustment oh they have a couple of SD cards in my wallet not shown basically the ones with Morse code ground the air signals and trap and snare diagrams along with the lockpick set also not shown various ID cards debit cards credit cards networking cards business cards and some cash in my pocket to carry a 10 440 power at peak pocket eager along with the BW sak and a kvitko Lilliput fountain pin in a cage and leatherwork small black leather pocket protector located in my front left pocket with it clipped using the Griffin pocket tool to the seam for ease of access what can attach using the brass encased magnets the brass armor Zippo is rather stout and I tried to etch the complete international Morse code into it along with other things like ruler marks and ground-to-air signals on the other side unfortunately my hands are large and not as steady as they once were still it added character to it the lighter is always on my front right pocket my keychain has always been devoted as my backup toolkit it easily slips into the additional back right pocket since I could do it I went ahead and replaced my house and car keys with brass ones as well to complete the look this was harder than one would think no I'd really absolutely know how hard this would be I've always worn a watch I have a small collection of them that a citizen Alta cron fits the bill looking professional and casual enough for everyday regardless of what I'm wearing and having a compass and an altimeter I love it I love it and yes I absolutely know how hard it is to piece together a themed EDC it's easy to do it with titanium it's just expensive but it's easy to do it but with titanium it's fairly easy to do it with copper there are a lot a lot of copper options out there but when it comes to brass it's tough it's really tough not a lot of people offer brass items especially when it comes like there are some brass flashlights as you see here but there are more copper flashlights and definitely more titanium flashlights so finding some of these items and brass is tough it's expensive and difficult so very very neat EDC thank you for sharing Gregory and you now have a second entry into this monster boy this next mission comes from Colden Shepherd and again no social media contacts for this guy but the theme for this one is titanium so the previous one was brass so we've had black out all brass and now this one is all titanium other than the wallet of course the first up we have the Chris Reeve knives large Simmons of 21 with black micarta inlays it also has a brass Spartan bead attached yes brass it's not titanium but he said it was a gift so I'll let it slide it also has the big idea design t I clicked EDC pin to the left there and beside that is the clearest mi7 in titanium at the top of the photo is the key bar also in titanium and it keeps all of these things early some of these things in the hitch and timber engineer caddy and then underneath everything is the pocket hanks in a nautical theme anyway Colton says so I'm a welder supervisor and need most of this gear on a daily basis I use the Sebenza to open up shipments of grinding wheels welding wire face masks etc they use a flashlight which is 700 lumens to look at welds my guys have done and to make corrections on them they use a pen and notepad not in the picture to jot down time card information and dimensions the Hank that I have is of a compass which reminds me of my grandfather that passed away two years ago it was a fisherman for the most part of his life so I keep this all made to remind me of him and to stay humble a couple of things not pictured here that I do carry is a Victorinox a spirit multi-tool and a slim Kenneth Cole wallet anyway this is a really neat carry and I do love the effect of of carrying something through remember your grandfather by I've been talking about it for months and I've not done anything yet remember my grandfather buying and implement into my carry but I would really like to and I don't know what to do yet still struggling with that but this is really neat and I'm still jealous I did get a Sebenza but I ended up getting these small Sebenza and now want a large Sebenza and it never ends it never ends you get a knife and then you want another knife you get a knife and you see some other knife and you want that too so it absolutely never ends but I actually just switched away from pretty much an all titanium carry to a pretty much all copper carry so I've got the tactile turn the glider was the larger version of it I'm back on my copper p.m. - I have the copper mech army flashlight and of course I've got this copper bolt-action knife and then in my back pocket I just got these back from old John Smith brass works I got my custom pioneer back in copper with a pocket clip now it's got a pocket clip the net that's a game changer for sure but while I'm on that topic I should say that brass works John Smith I've featured him several months ago he's actually closing his books for custom BW sak orders so if you want a custom one he's his books this weekend so you want to get that order in now because you won't be able to place a custom order with him indefinitely he said he's closing the books on custom Swiss Army knives indefinitely he will still do drops of certain ones so he'll make them in batches and do them in drops but he will not do custom orders he said they're too time-consuming he's struggling to keep up with his stuff because it's not his day job he actually has another day job that he does and yeah so he's closing his books and that's that so if you want a custom Swiss Army knife you got a plate you order for this weekend anyway this is a sick carry I love it : I'm a huge fan of titanium on so titanium wallet I'm probably pronouncing that wrong beneath that is a keyboard and titanium and attached to that is a studio ball Dern BLD are in titanium try diem bead next to that is his knife of choice which is the Chris Reeve knives Sebenza 21 in sing go that is customized with a millet knives dhama steel clip and a custom titanium back spacer he also has the Hank of machine works Trident titanium flashlight at the top there and attached to that is a steel flame skull clip beneath that at the bottom of the photo has the Victorinox Swiss Army knife mechanic and attach to that our daily customs dhama steel scales also carries a brian phil halter TI bolt fluted titanium apocalypse pin i've not seen the apocalypse on here that looks really really nice he also has in the top right of the photo a custom Zippo and titanium and then finally in the bottom right of the photo is the Omega Speedmaster 38 coaxial mr. decaffeinate oh says I can't go without a Swiss Army knife it's my most used in favorite EDC item and knife I'm traveling a lot and this is legal in almost every country in the world I used just two keys in my daily life and for that need the key bar is perfect thank you for sharing you know I knew you reached out to me over mints and asked how to submit everything I'm glad you did because this is a totally sick carry and if I'm not mistaken if I'm not mistaken which I have been wrong before but I think you are behind daily customs I think you're the guy that's making these are at least selling these customs scales for Swiss Army knives am I wrong I think it's you and the guy guy who made the bead for your keyboard the studio bill DRM baldon Bolden I'm not sure how that's pronounced but I think that's you you and this P dot BL DRN guy over on Instagram I think both of you are the guys behind daily customs right tell me if I'm wrong in the comments but I think that's you and if it is you I'd like to talk let's talk to those names a little more anyway this is a sick titanium carry really the only thing that you could do to make this all titanium is upgrade your watch to a titanium watch speaking of a titanium watch on the way and that's making me a little excited it is a quartz watch but it's titanium so that that makes it okay right anyway again sick carry I think this is really nice and you guys are making me really really jealous of your Sebenza mine is just plain Jane at this moment and I want to get it customized and do some things to it I think you guys are gonna wear me down very quickly but anyway thank you for sharing this you now have a second entry into the March giveaway so we've had a blackout a brass - titanium submissions and now we have of course copper but the one of the reasons I'm doing this and featuring different themes throughout this one episode is because I would like to see you guys give me suggestions for some themes down below don't do student carry just because it's been suggested a billion times I'll do it but it's hard to know when you guys are students unless you tell me and even then it's kind of hard to know just looking through them if you're a student or not so I'm trying to work that one out but suggest some stuff down below for things that I should do in the future like a white out FEMA never done a white out theme I think that'd be cool I think it'd be hard to put together but I think it would be cool I'd love to do a law enforcement or active duty episode of the EDC weekly there are tons and tons of different things I would love to do so just make suggestions down below anyway this fifth and final submission this week comes from bill Ritter and this one is really really neat it's copper it's all copper and I did say that it's easier to put stuff together then you know brass but also there are some things that are kind of hard to find in copper we'll get to that you find bill over on Instagram at Billiam underscore Ritter William like William with a B it's kind of funny first up and the top left of the photo is the Zippo and copper and next to that is his keyboard which is also copper of course but attached to that is a titanium clip which is on the underside of it next to that is his knife of choice which is the Kershaw skyline he has custom flight a neom copper sails attached to that with arizona engraved into him I think it's Vera's onna he also has a titanium deep carry pocket clip on that and to the far right of the photo is the O light s2 baton in copper below all that in the left of the photo is the Karis customs retract in also in copper and then the watch here is the diesel DZ 4 4 5 5 watch with copper and a leather band I don't think I've seen a copper watch before so that's pretty neat and he has a field notes Traveling Salesman pocket notebook and then on top of that is the lion tribe Armory copper Hank it's kind of cool but it also shows you that this guy's totally obsessed with copper Lee totally obsessed bill says this particular EDC took me awhile to piece together as copper wasn't really all that popular when I started getting into it then again for me the hunt for the perfect item that matches just right is one of the main things I love about the EDC life since piecing this combo together I have religiously carried it every day for about two years and truly beat and tested every single item the Olay s2 baton is phenomenal with amazing battery life and only gets cooler with every scratch ending and the kershel Skyland is the perfect reliable flipper knife and cheap enough to allow me to purchase a new one and swap the blade out if I ever get too rough with it bring me of the fear of actually using the blade something I've had issues with in the past may carry expensive knives get it scratches the custom itch in me with all the options and scales available three tracked pin houses a pilot g2 ink cartridges which are everywhere and a personal favorite the added weight of the copper makes it an absolute dream to write with my wallet in form are both simple leather cases that match the watch strap on the diesel dz4 455 this copper watch was the thing that I was most excited for has I had a very difficult time finding a wristwatch that had the right vibe and look to go with all the copper EDC kit I love copper and live in the copper state so this is perfect for me I love the channel and thanks for bringing everyone together in the community well thank you man this is really neat and like I said it is easier to piece together copper now but I imagine a couple of years ago it probably wouldn't have been as easy it is kind of tough to track some things down like titanium skills are not always in stock like he only makes them in batches and sometimes they're really hard to find and picking the right knife where you can swap things out and having that price balance that's tough that's tough to do again the point is all of these are kind of difficult to put together but more importantly they're expensive there they're going to be more expensive than your normal items I mean copper isn't exactly a cheap metal it's also heavy and it smells but it's got that vibe to it it's got that that character the patina this thing is brand-new but it's already starting to patina a little bit these scales look amazing on this BW sak the PM - I have boy this thing is just it's a tank it's almost 8 ounces it's almost half a pound at 7.9 ounces not including the bead so this is probably half a pound but look at it just ooh yeah it just looks better the more I carry it and more I'd use it this thing just looks better and better so I totally get it man and there's just something some people are turned off by the smell of copper but I like it I like it it's like it's like handling pennies all day but I don't know I love it I love copper I love titanium love copper leather wood brass I love them all if they patina age and look good I like it well titanium doesn't really patina or aged but I
