so you want to start a business that have no idea where to start don't worry every entrepreneur's been in that position including me which is why today i'm going to give you five easy business ideas which anyone can start with no money i'm going to go through the pros and cons of each so you know which business is the best for you make sure you stick around to the end of the video because for the last idea i'm going to reveal the entire business model i used at 15 years old which kicked off my journey from homeless to becoming a multi-millionaire today as an added bonus comment below and perhaps i can help you get the investment you need to start your business without the way let's get on with the video so my first idea is a purposeful property agency now when i first explained to you you're going to think it needs lots of money to make it happen it doesn't so you guys probably all know right now brands like knight frank or seville's you walk into a property agency looking to buy a home you're not actually the client the person who's selling the house is the client you might think you are but you're not those people then sell you a house now it's very transactional in my view and what i would like to see happen is for you to start a property agency where you actually list the house and sell it just like any other property agent but with one important twist in your dna and that is the excess money goes towards helping the homeless so in other words you take an agency that presently has no purpose other than to sell property and make money and you suddenly give it a purpose now why is this such a good idea well first of all i honestly believe that most people buy a property because they like the property they don't really care who's listing the property no one really thinks i'm going to go to an agent and then find a property they tend to want to find a particular type of property and then look which agent is holding that property so the real key to the agency business is getting the stock and how do you get the stock what in my view it's two things it's one of course delivering on selling that property but i think having a purpose if i can give my property to you to sell and that property that profit from selling that property goes to help the homeless and it costs me nothing extra to do that as the seller i will give you that property so the pros on this idea it is purposeful this could be a really meaningful business that would motivate you and of course another pro is that it's a proven financial business model you don't have to reinvent the wheel about how the economics work the system is set and you can leverage that existing profitable model the negatives of course are that it's potentially quite expensive to scale but i would also add that although it could potentially add a lot of labor to someone to show the house someone to do the legal paperwork and all of those things you can automate a lot of it the people who show around the house could actually be the owners i would say the other final negative is again there's lots of competition now i don't think that's a bad thing that just proves there's a market but of course that would mean you'd have to be very innovative in your marketing which i think the purpose of this business would let you do but it is something to think about when when an idea like this is potentially on your plate to execute so my second idea is perhaps a little bit more light-hearted and it is a home plant maintenance business now i don't know if you're like me but pretty much every single plant i've ever bought which are pretty expensive plants die within a few months my last plant cost me 200 pounds it's just behind the camera on the right here ridiculously expensive and ultimately i don't want it to die so why isn't there a company that i can hire a maintenance company that will come and take care of these house plants for me so you could work with existing garden centers for example to give you clients that when they actually sell the plants they sell a maintenance package alongside it everybody gets a piece of that and then of course you could do an in-person fee you could also do a video fee and you could also create a box or some sort of deliverable product that you could send to people to give the nutrition to the plants that each individual plant needs and a care package so you could do lots of different structures around this and i honestly think that this could be huge and even as i'm describing it to you right now i'm like if i had the time i'd probably do this this sort of business is really easy to get sales you literally can go and look outside at houses that are big and assume if they've got a big house they've got money they've probably got a load of houseplants i mean in this house our entrepreneurial house where we're filming this i've probably got about 40 home plants so the pros and cons of this idea well there is an argument that people don't want to spend any money maintaining the house plants i have a feeling that they will but it might be a tough sale to get people to pay any sort of monthly fee but i do believe it will my heart that the negatives on this idea are outweighed by the pros ultimately no one's doing it and i think that ultimately it's pretty simple to execute you can start small get one house learn how to do it properly build technology over time as you have money coming in around it i also think pros you can probably get good cash flow on this business get money in advance with people charge a down payment to start the program maybe some sort of fixed fee consultancy fee which allows you initially to pay for all your costs to get this business going now let's get into the third idea there are a huge amount of social media influencers that have huge followings that are not for example marketing people they're not sales people so if you have any of these skills what you could actually quite easily do i think is go on places like tiktok go look at the top 10 who's the most popular on tiktok they are talented people with huge followings that are not business savvy so if you go and offer them a structure to get sponsorship deals to get partnerships to do collaborations if you can handle all of that they will share the revenue that that huge following they have can turn into and if you don't know how to get brand deals how to collaborate with people how to make deals happen then you can check out the video i just made on this i honestly think that in this day and age building a personal social media brand is a must now there are some pros and cons to this idea so let's quickly talk about the cons of course the problem with dealing with people that aren't business savvy is getting a business structure in place there might be some pushback there might be some feeling you're taking advantage of them so you need to be very transparent and clear what you're offering what your promises don't over promise and under deliver but on the positive side more and more people are quitting their job and becoming social media influencers so this is not a market that's going to shrink it's a market that's going to grow and i think if you get your niche and you do it right it could be a lot of fun so my fourth idea initially might sound a bit wacky and it might not appeal to everybody but again i see a huge opportunity in this space that no one is feeling and i think if you get it right it's a big business so that business is basically data science so i know my own social media journey that i have not always really focused on the data what time for example to put up youtube videos where are my audience what language are they speaking so i speak in u.s dollars now because i have a lot of audience in the us so i used to just speak in pounds and again you can easily go and see people on youtube have great content that's perhaps not doing so well and you can help them through day to understand how to do things better there's a lot of companies like google that have tools like google analytics that's all automated tools in the back end that's not necessarily going into someone's tiptop or into their youtube analyzing their data and giving them feedback now what is the pros and cons of an idea like this well first of all you probably need to spend a bit of time making sure that you least have mastered one channel the other negative is i do think it require a lot of focus you probably need to be a certain type of person maybe analytical to do it that being said you could get a co-founder in who's analytical if you're not that way and you're marketing-minded or branding-minded then you can perhaps bring in a co-founder to help you who is data minded another negative is you're probably going to need to build some software to allow you to scale it you could do it manually initially go check people's accounts manually but i think the real way to scale a business like this over the long term is going to be investing in technology so what's the pros as i mentioned the market is huge again like the previous idea it's not getting smaller it's getting bigger the data itself is getting more complicated and that means for a lot of people they're going to have less and less time to look at it i actually think if you got this right some big players will probably pay you big money to make sure they stay on top so my fifth idea and the story behind it i started a gardening company and actually the idea came from desperation so i'd been kicked out by my mother i had no place to live i was literally living in this squat a lot of people had broken into this house and i had to basically break into and live in this house and one day about a week into this homeless life i was walking past this really beautiful house in cambridge and this house had a garden and this garden was messy and something said in my brain why is a nice house clearly these people have money with someone having a garden that looked like crap so i walked up to the front door of this beautiful house and i basically knocked on the door and this guy came to the door and i said hi my name's simon i've got a gardening company and i wondered if you'd like me to take care of your garden now remember at this point i had no registered company no experience in gardening no equipment no partnerships no co-founders no staff nothing i said would you like to take care of your garden they then said sure how much do you charge and then made up a number 200 pounds a month and they said yes shook my hand i said i'll start next saturday and walked away from that house with my first ever client so i decided to knock on as many houses i could on that saturday and i managed to knock on 110 doors and get 12 people to say yes now i've done a ted talk on this and you can watch the whole story if you wish and what happened to me was i realized i couldn't do the gardens a week later and i had to get help in to do it i basically went back to the people that said yes i got a 50 deposit from them so they gave me half the money up front and that money that cash flow allowed me to rent the equipment that i needed and pay other people a little bit of money to do the gardening for me and i then spent my time knocking on doors and convincing people to let me be their gardener and within three months i managed to get 40 customers and have nearly 20 people part-time working for me doing the gardens and so that's how i built a multi-million
