5 Cheap Watches that Don't Suck!

hi this is markk from Long Island watch.com I'm here to show you five cheap affordable cheap and affordable watches all are under 150 bucks a couple of them are under $100 I really want to show you that great watches do not have to cost a bundle whether they're from a micro brand or from a major brand there are Bargains to be had all five of course are available in the store um I'm going to show you which I thought was really cool um the selection that I Cur here today going to show you a mechanical uh mechanical windup an automatic uh two regular quartz watches and a mecha court so we're going to cover excuse me we're going to cover a lot of different angles here we going to we're going to be in Japan China we're going to be in Germany we're going to touch on America it's going to be awesome let's see these five now so there is no particular order to the watches in the video affordable cheap whatever you want to call it varies by everyone's definition we do have watches in the store I believe the lowest price watch we have would be a berui at 65 bucks um try to throw something up here um but I picked watches for you ranging from around I think 80 or 90 bucks up to just shy of 150 um just to show you what is available this might be the highlight though actually this one with the awesome red red dial this comes from uh my friends at Red Star and we've had this watch for a while you saw me just wind it it is a hand winding movement is a Chinese movement it is an inexpensive Chinese movement not an automatic it's a hand cranker comes in four colors this awesome red got that strap comes in a blue a cream and a black I believe that I want to say the red and the blue probably the best sellers so what's ticking away inside here it's a replica of an old movement that's no longer made uh I want to say it's tongi or tongi uh mechanical movement and I'm not going to try to murder the language I apologize it is a 40 mm case I'm going to go over these quickly by the way not my usual in-depth 40 mm case 12 thick to a domed uh acrylic crystal can I can push on it a nice top hat to it it's 50 on the lug tip to Lug tip it is a solid snapdown case back don't mistake this over here for a limited edition or series number it is not it's just merely the markings of the brand uh if anybody wants to um decipher the characters on the dial you're more than welcome to put it down below the acrylic is a bit of a lint magnet I apologize for that uh leather strap 20 mm water resistance is 50 m though I don't know I probably wouldn't get this wet to be honest with you 53 G on the strap price $98 for any of the four that we sell as I said this is the uh this is the blue one isn't it this is the red one no date one position hand cranks you wind it till it stops and you are done you might think oh it's cheap piece of garbage um no it's inexpensive uh but be honest with you the amount that we get back for issues is very low well within brand allowances um across the Spectrum I mean really can anyone have an affordable party without the Seiko snkl 203 whatever version may be making an appearance this happens to be the snkl23 J the made in Japan version that we sell for $137 if there was an award for a watch featured the most in my videos this one is probably it I show this a lot can't believe they are still making it I guess as long as they still have some 7s 26 movements that they're digging out of storage um but I'm still have I want to say I'm sitting on like 40 or 50 pieces of this from my last buy uh simply an amazing watch um I believe hinki called this the value proposition um a while back it's tough to get the dial to really come to life but they you can see the tuxedo stripes on the outer periphery a totally amazing watch it it it's only downfall is its bracelet you put on a leather strap though and this thing is going to it's going to sing and you're going to love it so uh so it's running on the 7s 26 which as we know doesn't handwind doesn't hack has been out of production for a while uh it's a 38 millim case it is 10 thick this listing was made way back when I did not take the lug to Lug measurements so um I don't know it but that's okay uh it's a hardlex crystal front nice H you like that sound hardlex Crystal front exhibition case back to see that 7 s26 Mo uh movement in motion uh let's see can we get a version on it it is a 7s 26c or the Charlie version 30 m of water resistance which is kind of odd I'm sure it's much better beautiful crown positioning on this one at the four tucked in 18 mm lug uh fold folded link bracelet right or is it pins it's a folded link my one of my top videos ever performing is sizing a folded link braak braet uh let's see 137 bucks SN k23 pull out the crown set the time it will not hack second hand keeps going change the time look it's going backwards is that cool I did a watch and learn on that as well uh day and date that's about it snkl23 137 bucks so we visited China we went to Japan welcome to Germany this is the Aristo bow house 082 zero watch there's a few watches in this series very similarly styled uh kze Etc Aristo made in Germany uh if you followed my video on Swiss made you will know that made in Germany is a very Loosey Goosey uh moniker but it does say it so and the company is certainly in Germany in the town of forine uh sty is there a couple others uh so it is the German entry for this uh for this video is running on a Ronda 1069 movement is 39 millimeters in diameter it is a scant 7 millimeters thick a lovely 45 on the tip to tip solid snapd down case back with the sticker still on it uh mineral crystal it's a 20 mm lug width comes on this brown strap kind of like a Honey brown matching rose gold buckle to match the tone of the case I've got these in a silver case I've got them with black dial couple different ones really cool with the 6:00 sub dial bow house uh styling sticks and numbers looks cool right what a nice dress watch 38 gam on the strap super duper light weighs about 38 paper clips price $129 the non- rose goldplated ones do actually go for a couple bucks less awesome let's go welcome to America here we are looking at brui made in America no but the bruchi brand much like Islander is uh based in America they are in Illinois Chicago I want to say skoki I used to be in a barber shop quartet in ski Illinois this watch is 85 bucks now I mentioned that the least expensive watch we sell on the website I believe is the bruchi um 105 10500 for 65 this one's 85 I wanted to showcase this one instead of that one cuz I thought this one was so cool for one reason because the whole freaking case glows is that not awesome the resin is impregnated with a loom compound the hands are done really well um just a really cool looking watch something that is super different and not something that you see every day so this is the Puchi 1128 for 85 bucks runs in a Japanese quartz movement is a 40 mm case uh being boui they raise the case over the crystal as you can see that here so almost like those uh SWAT shock protectors if you remember them or G-Shocks themselves uh so that when you bang it on something you hopefully hit the case and not that hardened mineral crystal is a uh snapd down case back 50 m of water resistance uh battery lasts about 3 years comes on a bruchi awesome nylon strap Puchi really makes they make amazing amaz straps great Hardware um one thing that I know people complain about or they praise about is the is the use of fixed lug bars so you never have to worry about a spring bar popping out but this precludes you from using a twopiece strap or an elastic strap or whatever but that's the brui 11028 Luminous resin watch here is your meca quartz entry not a mecha quartz chronograph a mecha quartz movement so you see the seconds is moving at those rapid little intervals kind of looks like an automatic that is a Seiko vh60 movement so a quartz analog excuse me a quartz or battery power and heart so a quartz oscillator battery for power um but then it's coupled to a more or less a mechanical uh gearing for the second hand so this is the av8 uh rbl Royal British Le uh watch currently on sale for $49 so normal price is not 149 normal price is over 200 bucks uh but because it fell under the 150 for now and it's going to be on sale for at least the next month or so I figured why not feature it it shows you something really cool I love the keepers on this thing always very colorful in keeping with the rbl color theme so it's a 43 mm case 14 thick to a domed mineral crystal 51 on the lug to lug so it is the largest watch we're going to cover today for sure it is a solid screw down case back uh if you saw that already excuse me Royal British Legion I apologize I apologize uh 22mm brown leather strap with you can see the taper very pilot Aviation inspired and awesome cool Keepers like I said I really love those Keepers 50 m of water resistance 100 G on the strap 149 bucks
