so good morning guys have another beautiful morning here in guernsey now we have the week off work and we're going to be taking you guys on a tour of 48 hours in guernsey and showing you as many adventure packed activities these can do on the island and we're going to start our day in saint peter court because if you're arriving by boat then this is most likely where you're going to arrive in guernsey and if you're arriving by plane no need to worry it's really simple to get into some pizza pot from the airport on the bus and yeah so to kick off the day we're going to go and get a good hearty breakfast to get some energy and we're going to try and find somewhere for less than a tenner so let's go [Music] what we thinking i'm all about the sugar today my sweet tooth is calling i'm going to get a waffle and nutella oh very good i think i'll be going for the sugar which i've never tried before so i'm very excited to try that we've come to cocoa which is uh right on the harbor of some airports first time we've actually come here thank you and i've got a coffee james has gone for a mango smoothie and it's quite a nice place i think we'll get below our budget of 10 pounds i'm having a shooker which is about eight pounds seven pound ninety and gemma's going for a tiny little breakfast i think you'll be having half of my shakshuka because i'm offered a waffle with what was it nutella well that will fill you up that was only four pounds i'm expecting something about that size probably and we're definitely going to have room for our cream tea later on so we might need to go and explore somewhere so when you're walking up and down the high street you'll most likely come across quite a lot of cute little shops that you can buy some souvenirs and it's always worth having a look [Music] one of the main sites you can go and see in some peter porter is a castle coronet and um it's possibly one of the first sights you would actually see when you arrive and guarantee if you arrive by boat if you arrive by plane you can go down into the harbour and it is the big fortress that sits just off the coast overlooking it over looking simple airport now unfortunately it's closed today and i think because of what's going on in the world right now there's kind of about like a days ago opening and closing times for all of these sites so instead we've come to a place called candy gardens which sits just up the road from saint peter port and um from what i've heard this year and just this beautiful gardens that you hear are really nice to go and have a little wonder around appreciate the sunshine and on a day like today there's no better day for it so that's what we're going to do and fingers crossed that the cafe is open we can maybe get some cream tea while we're at [Music] it [Music] there's a really pretty walker into here isn't it you know i'm not sure about it actually doesn't it no i've never been here but i've never actually been around but it's lovely and it's actually really peaceful until they turn the lawnmower on they are doing maintenance today so but it was so peaceful before it's lovely but we're heading in the middle of the airport yeah and i see view i can see the sea not bad [Music] in candy gardens there is a cafe called cafe victoria and it does a selection of hot and cold food and joints throughout the day however we have gone with a scone with jam and cream to share and i have to say this looks so good it's huge actually it is it's nice that was only 250. yeah guaranteed cream i have a big scone you can get this going without the cream for 195. yeah i'm glad to show like kind of grooming jams in that as well yeah they do also do cream teas here if you fancy something like that i think you get sandwiches okay i drink hot drinks and two scones as well so and it's 18 pounds for two people we're still a bit full from breakfast to be honest with you and we've got a big dinner coming up so we decided to just go for one scotland this is one would you believe it we're just half in it two pound fifty for all of this food and yeah i cannot believe the value of that that's nice i thought it was gonna be way more expensive [Music] oh so that was delicious and uh i think it's about time to go and check into the hotel yeah time to go and start relax a little bit and i'm very excited we're gonna go and check into fairmain valley hotel which we booked as a little staycation treat and uh it's possibly one of the fantasy hotels we've stayed in in a long time so that's where we're going you make now lonely when i'm gone myself that view is absolutely amazing we are staying at the fairman valley hotel and this is one of the most beautiful rooms we've ever stayed in i think it might also happen to be one of the biggest rooms that we've ever stayed in yeah if you guys know us you know that we have to normally be staying in a tent and a in australia washing out of a bucket so this is very very luxurious for us and there's a pool there's a bar we've got a free drink on arrival we've got um bar tokens on for the deal that they're doing and i think we're going to go and help the pool and get a drink because this is just amazing so on top of the complimentary drinks we've got free sherry in the room [Music] not for me there's even what did you say is in that cupboard and coffee free tea and coffee in there start the day off coffee in the morning that's exactly what i need and breakfast is included we're going up to the uh restaurant soon till 10th i was just looking at the menu it looks amazing i'm excited for breakfast already dinner first dinner yeah it's also a choice of actually two in the main valley hotel it's either you've got boho or the rock salt hotel get that light on what's it called the rock garden so we're going to stay we're going to eat at the rock garden tonight and yeah until then we're just going to chill out and enjoy this luxury so he's at dinner [Music] [Applause] we were undiscovered didn't care for one another you and i you and i [Music] so we are in the rock garden for dinner which is actually in the fair main valley hotel it's actually a steak house but we have gone for the red lentil vegan burgers and they look so good look at the size of it comes with a mushroom and an onion ring and fries i can't wait to get stuff into it looks so good and after this our plan is to go and watch the sunset any plans for yeah we'll go and check out the sunset it looks like it's gonna be a bang this first [Music] and so guys we've come down to one of the best uh sunset spots in guernsey we made a whole video about all of our favorite sunset spots and i'll link that up above but vazon beach is definitely one of our favorite spots to come down to and admire our sunshine guernsey so we're down here at fort hummett and there's a little plenty we walked right out on we're gonna sit here as we watch the sun go down before we head back to the hotel and just really make the most of our right here [Music] [Music] um [Music] [Music] so we're exhausted from the adventures yesterday we didn't actually manage to get up for sunrise this morning which is unlikely normally we do but if yeah definitely on the cards if you are an early morning bird i would recommend getting up and checking out the sunrise either from your balcony if you have one or just head down onto fermin beach because that's where we usually do our sunrise swims and it's a beautiful view from there but we're on our way to get some breakfast up at the boohoo restaurant now and i can't wait because i'm starving i can't wait if you've been following our youtube channel for a while now you'll know that one of our favorite activities to do around guarantee is go down and spend time at the beach mostly because you've got a good view to choose from when you actually decide to do that so that's where we're going to go to now we've already shown you for main bay this morning one of our favorite hidden beaches in guaranty and we're going to go to another one that's really easily accessible so the beach we're going to is a place called pt bow and it's very popular for both swimming and doing outdoor sports because it's a company called outdoor guernsey which allows you to rent either kayaks or stand-up paddle boards we have our own stand-up paddleboard but if you want to do that you can do that there and that's exactly what we're going to go and do now so stand up badly in a beat bowl [Music] i just cut that so it makes it look as if i'm not struggling as much [Music] you standing up all right there you are are you nuts no no don't i don't trust you sitting down oh there's a cave i think this is the first time i've actually been paddle boarding a pc bow and it's a cracking place to come and do it because you've got all that the cliffs and the caves and everything to explore around here and it's a really beautiful part of guaranty [Music] well i guess that's the only real way to finish off after paddle boarding a pt ball is going get an ice cream um [Music] so we are down at woody's at bordeaux and i've got a little hot chocolate campbell's got uh white coffee coffee best coffee in guernsey yeah so everybody says i don't drink coffee so i wouldn't know yeah we brought our reusable cups not only good for the planet but also good for your wallet as you get uh we've got our drinks we've picked up a little picnic and then we're gonna go and explore castle [Music] bye what was that i don't know this is the joys of trying to film with someone that's extremely skittish no there's just like dog poo i'm like jumps because it was dog all the flies like exploded all right okay all right start again [Music] we're in a place called the veil castle which sits about a five minute walk from bordeaux kiosk so if you're over that side i would definitely what take a wonder over and go and check it out now just like many other fortifications are in guernsey the vale castle dates back to about the 15th to 18th century where the first fortifications were made to defend the island and then later on when the american wars of independence started the french allied with the americans which then put them in direct conflict with the english and the channel islands were at high risk of being attacked by the french so what they did was they fortified all of these kenna castles all the borders of guernsey to ward off any french invasions and it's a pretty cool historical place on this side of the island it's usually used for i think there's a thing called the vague vale earth fair which happens about summer time in guernsey and it's possibly one of the biggest festivals in guernsey and if you're here at that time i would definitely go and check that out now it's been an epic 48 hours here in guernsey and there's one way that we can round off to make it even better unfortunately it looks like the clouds have come in a little bit which is a bit of a bummer but it's still going to be an amazing activity and it's something gemma and i have never actually done before here in guernsey so we are very excited to share it with you guys we're down in saint peter port and we're meeting up with our friend and one of her roommates we're going to be doing a boat tour around the island of sarc now this was cancelled the other day and it just so happens to coincide with our tour here and yeah we're going to go and board the speedboat now i'm hoping it's not going to be too bumpy [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] it's actually really cool seeing them start from the water before [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] thank you so there you have it guys an absolutely awesome way to spend 48 hours in guernsey i've had an
