4 MONTH BABY UPDATE + How I Feel About Being a Mom!

[Music] morning guys and welcome to today's vlog today it's a very special day because it is Kobe's four-month birthday are you blowing my joy we've been singing a happy four month birthday to her all day I cannot believe she's four months old I feel like she just turned three months and then I was like oh my gosh when she's four months that's gonna be crazy and then now here we are so as you guys know I like to do a little monthly updates on her just to I don't know kind of look back on for myself so today we were doing her for months update she actually has her doctor's appointment tomorrow so I wanted to wait until after that to film this but I need to if I'm on today so I'll have to update you guys on that in another vlog but we are going to do her for month update but before we get into that I have something super fun that I'm very excited about but I want to show you guys okay so I got Coby set up right here with a little toy and what I want to show you guys is our new Panda crate we were working with Kiwi Co on this video and I actually did some Instagram stories for them a couple months ago and you guys I am not even joking this is like one of my very top favorite baby products ever I recommend this for literally anyone who has a baby so this is a baby subscription box I have the Panda crate they have different ones for at different ages but the box comes with a bunch of things that are age and stage specific for your baby so this is a perfect for copes age so all the things in the box help to promote Learning and Development in like a super easy and convenient way and like I said this is my second box that I've had from them and we still have the stuff all the stuff in the first box upstairs where I keep all coves like her toys and her play mat and everything and literally to this day we use everything in there every single day usually when she is away from her naps I like to take her up there and we'll just like play for like an hour and a half while she's awake so I'll read books to her and then she like lay on her play mat for a little bit and she also plays with a lot of her toys that were in her first box so I love this so much because especially like before I ever got this like the first time that I got this I was like stressing out about like just knowing what I needed to be doing with Cole's like actually gets bigger and like what toys are good for her brain likes to help her develop and everything and I just was like kind of overwhelmed and then I got the offer to work with this company and I was like this is literally the answer to everything that I was just stressing about so I have a huge huge huge fan of Kimiko and their panic rate so I'm gonna show you guys everything that's inside but you jump it this is one of the first things this is cokes favorite so far so I just have little things that are perfect for again your baby's like age and so she's been loving that one we've had this box for probably like four or five days now and I literally was so excited to open it it felt like Christmas you guys so the deliveries are every other month and the box contains two months worth of products and information that again is appropriate for your baby's developmental stage and it's all like research back and everything so when I opened it it had this in here so this just shows everything that is in the crate for this month so it has these cute little blocks there's four of them two of them you guys can hear it they have like bells and then these two are like gold material or whatever and they're super super cute so usually I'll just give her like one of these at a time and kind of like let her see she's like just now at the age where she's like learning how to play with stuff like only in the past few weeks for that she would like lay down and I would like show her stuff and we'd read books and whatever but now she's getting to the age where she can actually like grab stuff and kind of play with it so usually I'll give her kind of just one toy for like five or ten minutes however long it's gonna entertain her they job and she's just like figuring out how to do everything with it so yeah came with these blocks it also just came with this thing I showed you guys so this again the resting here has like the crinkle material has a little more degree and then all these fun colors for her to look at I also came with this little like grabber toy so this one she's still like figuring out and then it came with this little rolling toy babies love like black and white contrast II stuff in there first box they had some cards that were like contrast sea of black and white patterns and she will sit and look at those like forever so usually all like pulled those back and forth for her she's laying down to help her like learn how to follow things with her eyes and anything that's like black and white like this babies love and there's also this really cute little teething ring thing also this I'm so excited for this is a little book to read her in the back so it looks like this and then you open it it's not like super colorful because you have to like put water on this to activate the colors so it's meant for like reading to them in the back it also comes with this little magazine so this just has info about your baby I have signs of teething information on teething and then it also comes with these little cards so these are just cards with like all the information on all the different toys I just showed you guys it kind of has like facts about it like this one is designed for grasping the knot shape encourages problem-solving it's super soft as a bell inside and then on the back it just gives you kind of ideas of like what you can do for this like especially if you have baby you know that this kind of stuff this is like what I live for now like this is literally so exciting to me it also comes with these ones that kind of just give you more information on like try this activity to stimulate your baby's sense of smell or like sensory toys like just different ideas for like exploring colors and sounds this would also make an now we'll go ahead and get into copes a little update I think I'm gonna turn off the fireplace I was gonna move the camera in through the update but I feel like I can just do it here so yes was officially four months old we woke up exactly four months ago and it was a Saturday and we talked about like what if this was our last Saturday with a baby and we had no idea to literally be born like that day are you eating that this is probably the fastest four months of my life I can't even believe it and it's crazy how like it goes by so fast and then they just change every single day but you like don't realize they're changing until it's been like a month and you're like wait they're like so different now but she's getting so fun she's getting so big I don't know how much he weighs cuz again we go to the doctor tomorrow I'm guessing she's like around 11 or 12 pounds maybe I think that's what she was actually I don't know because I think she was 11 pounds when we took her to the doctor last time and that wasn't she was only 2 months so maybe she's like it's probably bigger than that I don't know but she's getting so big and so fun she had like the sweetest little personality I've noticed some of you guys asking in the comments like if you notice any personality traits from her yet and I feel like mostly just that she's like super chill obviously she's a baby so she like has her moments or she might be a little bit crazy but 99% of the time she's just so chill like anyone who ever meets her is like so impressed by it how she just sent it to a good baby and we'll just like stay and hang out with the krinkle one baby do we have a charge wall camera battery but I feel like she's just such a fun baby like I'm just so grateful that she's so good and I get to be your mom because she is literally just a dream baby she still sleeps pretty good she started consistently sleeping it through the night I can go like six or seven weeks maybe eight and I'll remember for sure but a lot of maybes go through like a four month sleep regression basically it just means like during like when they're about 4 months their sleep gets like really bad and they're kind of like waking up every hour I feel like she's kind of experiencing that but it's not like every single night if it has two nights she did wake up a few times usually we'll try to just like give her binky it rocked her and then she she'll go back to sleep and then if she doesn't then I'll see her so the past two nights I did end up feeding her in the night to help her go back to sleep well you use extra heat but the night before that she slept through the night didn't even wake up like one time like sometimes she'll wake up and if we just pop her baby back in her mouth and she'll go back to sleep yeah every night's kind of just been different but she's still overall like sleeping pretty good I did try to change her nap schedule right now she takes 4 naps a day and she's only awake for about an hour and a half and then she'll sleep for an hour and a half so I tried to change it to like she's awake for two hours and then she naps for two hours they just like I don't think she's quite ready for that she like did okay but then by the end of the day she just was not really like as happy as usual so I did go back to her normal nap schedule and I feel like I'll keep it like this for maybe like another couple weeks and then I'll kind of see ok battery did die so got a new one and I'm switching up the angle a little bit but anyways I kind of forgot what I was saying now but something else she's been doing is drooling a little bit more which I know is a sign of like they're gonna get teeth soon so that'll be crazy cuz also had a few people asking me like not even on YouTube but like in real life if I'm gonna start giving her food soon and I'm gonna like wait and see what her doctor says but I feel like four months is like kind of early so unless he says that I need to do that I'm not really planning on doing that anytime soon I also want to do more like baby led weaning or whatever it's called I still need to like research all this I haven't really done that yet because it's not like to the point where I'd like me to know all the info but that's more where like I would like give her an avocado or something really soft in like very small pieces and that could in front of her and she figures out how to eat it herself I'm sure I'll feed her like purees or something - I don't think you have to like strictly do one or the other and even if someone said that you do I feel like you don't but she's like just barely in the past probably like two weeks started grabbing onto stuff so I feel like she's not like quite ready to have those foods but again I have no idea and I'll see what doctor says but just like as her mom I'm like not ready if he said give her food I give her food but like thinking about her being big enough to eat food I'm like not ready for that I still just breast feed her which is going really well I feel like maybe might it's hard to tell for me if my milk supply is going down because I just like to really know how to tell like obviously there's times when your boobs feel like more full or more empty but even though it feels more empty like if your baby still eating hopefully that's not happening because I do so want to breastfeed I don't have plans to stop anytime soon I really love it and I think it's so fun and just like a special time we also have taken her on a few trips as you guys have seen and she does really really well on trips so we don't have anything coming up but I feel like in the next month or two I do want to plan something even just like something small how I went to San Diego like that's a pretty close place so I'm not planning anything bang anytime soon in at most places it's still really cold so I just really got wouldn't be that enjoyable to like take her eye to gear up or something when it's super freezing do you think maybe we'll try to plan something out soon I'm trying to think of what else to talk about her sleeping her eating her kind of just changing and like figuring things out more like grabbing toys and stuff she can't like sit up or anything I don't know when babies start to do that but she's still too little for that she's just such a fun good baby in the morning she is so smiley and so happy she still had that laughs yeah I'm like holding out waiting for her to laugh and you show him I smile she'll never smile like when the cameras on or if we're like recording her because she's just too distracted like looking at the phone her the camera or whatever oh yeah I need to see if it's nap time but I think she's about ready for now huh oh for her clothes oh she's actually wearing first size two diaper today which is actually too big so like she's kind of in between sizes right now size one is getting a little bit too small and size two is like a little bit too big you guys saw I put away a lot of her a zero to three month clothes and like her newborn stuff that I hadn't put away yet and I got our three to six month stuff and half of it it's half of it - way too big most of its like a little bit too big but yeah so she's kind of in between like clothing sizes too but this set she has on right now is three to six months so she is getting bigger but I'm gonna go lay her down for anyone out okay it's not actually nap time quite yeah I'm gonna put her down in like 15 minutes but I don't - show you guys where we come in place which shows her a little play mat gonna do toy yes we usually come up here like two or three times a day so this is where she plays I'll have her toys inside out for her we'll read books and need to talk about reading books people are like why are you reading books to her she like doesn't know we're saying fun it's just really good to really babies books helps teach them lots of stuff I don't know look it up she's gonna play for a little bit and then go down for now almost joke to you [Music] okay so she's down for a nap so she still takes all her naps in her bassinet that's another question I've been seeing is when will we move her to her room Nikki you can see she fits in her bassinet still but it's getting like a little bit too small and she doesn't roll over she'll roll if she's doing tummy time and she's over it sometimes she'll roll from her tummy to her back she doesn't roll like from her back over to her tummy so she still sleeps swaddled in her bassinet for all her naps and at night and I don't know what I'm gonna move her to her room I thought that I would move her at like 6 weeks or something like one night but before I had her I was like hey as soon as she sleeps through the night I'm moving her to her room cuz I feel like it's good because like we would get better sleep and she would get better sleep just if we're like not hearing each other and stuff but I just can't do it I don't know when I'm gonna move her but I'm not ready I know the official recommendation or whatever is like 6:00 like to share a room for like six months to a year I don't know I don't really want to move her until I like half - until her bassinet is like too small for her and even then if I wasn't ready I might just like move her crib into our room I really don't know I don't know I just love having her like right next to us it's pretty much it for the update on her and then a little update on me just how I'm doing his mom I like mom life I love it so much it is seriously like everything that I could have ever hoped and dreamed for and you guys know if you've been watching a for a long time I wanted a baby for like years and I knew it wasn't necessarily like the right time to actually have one like our initial plans I know we have a lot of new followers watching but we've been married for four years our four year anniversary was in October and our initial plan when we first got married was like cable start trying to have a baby at our two-year anniversary but we didn't really feel like it was the right time so we waited and then I got pregnant like a little bit after our third anniversary I think and I feel like that was just like perfect timing for us I just wanted a baby for like so long and the fact that I have on now and it is just like she's the most amazing thing in the world and I'm so happy I'm so grateful I didn't have like postpartum depression or baby blues or anything like that and so so so happy even in the newborn stage when it's like harder and you're feeding them like every two seconds and not getting as much sleep I'm just so happy I love being her mom even when she's like fussing and crying hold her and think this is what I wanted but not that I wanted a baby that's crying but like just to have a baby and to like be a mom and like everything that comes with that so I just love her so much and I miss her when she's
