Today I’m going to share a bunch of tips with you
I think every Albion Online player should know These things will be extremely helpful throughout
your journey as it helps you with your silver, your progress, survivability and your overall
gameplay. Especially If you are a new or returning player,
these tips will be massive for you. My first tip is going to be a very important
one because from my observation this one is definitely hurting new players the most. The different armors in Albion Online have
different stats on them which includes physical and magical damage bonuses. So the armor you decide to wear directly affects
the amount of damage you do. To give you an example: The Knight Armor gives
you a 5% bonus to various damage whereas the Mage Robe gives you a 58% bonus to various
damage. That’s an increase of 53% to your damage
between these two armors. So if you want to kill mobs quicker you want
to go with one of the armors that provides higher offensive bonuses. This actually goes for other stats such as
healing and crowd control bonuses as well, so when you want to fill a specific role you
should select your armor accordingly. For example, if you want to play as a tank
you want to go with one of the plate armors as they provide higher defenses and increase
the duration of your crowd control abilities. But since many players start off by doing
solo PvE content such as solo dungeons, it’s very painful to see them do these types of
content with armor that barely provides bonus to damage. Lacking damage in solo PvE content will make
for very slow clears and might even make some of the easiest bosses difficult to beat. You don’t have to drag items to or from
your inventory. What you can do instead is shift-click on
items to move them between your inventory and bank. This also applies to loot from mobs, chests
and players. I’ve known quite some advanced players who
didn’t know about this feature for the longest time and it’s most definitely the biggest
quality of life feature one can miss out on. You would think that plate helmets and boots
would provide higher defensive stats over cloth ones, however you might be surprised
to hear that all the helmets and boots in the game share the exact same stats. A tier 8 Mage Cowl will provide the same amount
of health, energy and other bonuses as a tier 8 Knight Helmet. So, when it’s about your helmet and boots
in your build, simply choose for the ability instead of the non-existing differences in
stats. The only exception within this is that artifact
items have slightly higher stats as their base item power is higher as well. Nonetheless, you always want to pick your
helmet and boots for the ability they provide and nothing else. There is a feature where you can re-spec your
fame credits and use them somewhere else. However, I strongly recommend that you never
ever use this feature. Even if you are 100% sure you don’t want
to use a specific weapon or armor any longer, it just costs a lot of silver to re-spec and
you lose 20% of your hard worked progress on top of that. As a long time player, my biggest waste of
silver and biggest mistakes in progress have been re-speccing by far. I used to have multiple weapon lines maxed
out which I ended up removing for a lot of silver and loss of fame credits, only to get
interested in those weapons again at a later time. The meta in Albion changes continuously and
items get reworked altogether on top of that. I highly recommend you just spec up something
by doing content or using fame credits and let your points remain as they are, as the
entire feature of re-respecing does nothing but hurt your overall progress the most. I recommend you always bring your gathering
tool with you when you go about doing open world content. Gathering tools are very affordable and you
might just spot some very juicy nodes as you go about roaming. From my experience having a gathering tool
with me always made for a lot of extra silver. And since it takes quite a while to level
your gathering skills, any extra progress towards that is just very welcome. Whether you are crafting or gathering, always
have your journals with you. They simply make for a lot of extra silver
whilst you don’t have to do anything extra for it. They simply get filled up as you do the required
activity and once they’re full you can sell them for a lot of silver on the marketplace. Before you advance to higher tier content
make sure you have your Reaver levels unlocked. You can find your Reaver levels in your destiny
board and I would say they’re pretty much required to participate in content of a given
tier. They make for offensive and defensive bonuses
and the amounts they provide are simply too high to ignore. There’s a very powerful tool in this game
which many players don’t utilize. And I would say it’s almost like a cheat
code. In Albion you can inspect other players and
see their entire loadout, which includes the gear they wear and even the abilities they
have selected. The standard hotkey to inspect someone is
Y although I have it set to T so make sure to change it to something that works well
for you. So remember to use the inspect feature to
gain an advantage over your enemies throughout your battles. If you ever need healing or energy but you
don’t have the proper resources with you, you can simply change your armor’s ability
to Mend Wounds and your helmet’s ability to Energy Regain. All the armors and helmets in the game have
these abilities so keep that in mind if health or energy ever becomes an issue. If you are playing Albion Online actively
you really want to have a premium subscription running. The amount of bonuses you get from having
premium are simply too massive to miss out on. You simply progress much quicker and make
much more silver with about any activity you do. So if you are a new player and you enjoy playing
Albion, make it your priority to get a premium subscription. And since you can buy premium with silver
it’s obtainable even if you are fully free to play. You can enchant your items in Albion to make
your items stronger. Each enchantment level adds 100 item power
to an item which makes it about 10% stronger. And enchanting at lower tiers, such as tier
4, is so cheap that you’re almost punishing yourself when you’re not enchanting your
gear. You can enchant items up to 3 levels and for
each enchantment stage you need different materials. For level 1 you need Runes, for level 2 you
need Souls and for level 3 you need Relics. You can enchant your gear at the Artifact
Foundry that can be found in every city. Sometimes it could be cheaper to buy enchanted
items from the market directly, so compare the prices before you go about enchanting
yourself. A mistake I see a lot of new players make
is that they try to craft everything themselves. Now there’s nothing wrong with having a
dedicated love towards crafting but especially as a beginner it’s just not an effective
thing to do. Instead of trying to craft everything yourself,
pick one of the crafting lines and start off with that. Not only will you reach higher levels much
quicker and be able to craft higher tier items, you will also become more focus efficient
which means you will make much more profit. As for how to acquire your items when you
don’t craft them yourself, simply use the marketplace to buy anything you need. So I just mentioned focus which might bring
up a few question marks with you, so let’s quickly go over what focus is and why you
should always use it. If you have a premium subscription running
you will get 10.000 focus a day. And focus pretty much equals silver in this
game. When you go about crafting, refining or farming
you can use your focus to get more resources in return. Focus caps at 30.000 so make sure to use it
every 3 days tops and don’t let it go to waste. You should also know that the higher level
you reach in a certain skill, the more focus-effective you become. As you level something up, it will simply
cost you less focus to do that activity which means you can do more of that same activity
with your pool of focus. So my recommendation is to pick only one activity
to spend your focus on and to level that up as much as possible so you can make much more
profit with your focus. One great tip anyone should know and apply
to their gameplay is that you can reduce your chances of getting ganked by keeping your
mount up as you go about gathering, killing mobs or hunting treasures in the open world. When you dismount your mount will stay up
until you leave the circle around it. If you do so, you will have to summon your
mount once again which could be the difference between living and dying. So, especially when you are in the red and
black zones, make sure to always have your mount up so you can quickly get on your mount
and leave if other players dismount next to you or you find yourself in a tough situation. Some of the weapons in Albion Online are actually
one handed which means you can take an offhand with it. Right now there are 15 different offhands
that offer various perks such as cooldown reduction, more healing, more defenses and
more damage among many others. So make sure to pick an offhand with your
one handed weapons to increase your characters strength even more. Each city has its own local production bonuses
and this affects the amount of resources you get back when you go about crafting and refining
in that particular city. So aside from using focus to increase your
resource return rate, it’s also beneficial to craft and refine at the right location. Solo dungeons in the blue and yellow zones
close 60 seconds after the last person enters, and this timer is 90 seconds for solo dungeons
in the red and black zones where you have the full loot feature. So you can simply wait at the start of a dungeon
and ensure no one follows you inside and do your PvE content without the risk of PvP. If you want to try out different weapons,
armors and abilities at their max potential without investing a bunch of time and silver
first, you can log in to the test server. To do this simply select the test server on
the launcher and head to one of the cities where you will find NPCs that allow you to
unlock your destiny board, craft any items you want and more. You can fast travel for free between various
cities by using the Travel Planner NPC that can be found in every city, on your island
and even your guild’s hideout. I think many new players have the idea that
you are bound to one city for your gameplay while the Travel Planner makes it very easy
to play in all the different locations whenever you want. I often see players move all their items from
one city to another just because their new guild is located somewhere else, whereas what
you really want to do is simply teleport to the new city, buy a new set of gear and get
going with your guild. Just make sure to have nothing on you as you
teleport as you might have to pay a big fee based on all the extras you carry on you. When you enter the black zone through the
realm gate you will see a shrine on every corner of the portal. Interacting with this shrine will make you
invisible and invincible which basically means that no one can see you or interact with your
character in any way. So you can simply take this buff whenever
you enter the black zone and make your way to the next zone in a fully safe way. These shrines can also be found at every exit
of the realmgate zones so the same thing applies to the end of your adventure, where you can
return to town safely once you’re done. If you ever have issues with weight because
you went a bit too hard on looting chests or enemy players, you can always swap the
passive on your boots to Courier which will grant you some extra weight. Something a lot of players are guilty of,
and this unfortunately includes many advanced players as well, is that you prioritize doing
damage over avoiding damage. The amount of new players that say they can’t
beat some of the easier bosses are far too much. You can literally slap on a Battleaxe and
go naked on your armors and still beat many of the bosses in Albion as their entire rotations
are scripted. And the same goes for pretty much all the
PvE in Albion Online. If you just start actively avoiding abilities
you will have a much easier time in PvE. And I’m pretty sure avoiding damage will
help you in PvP as well. Now there is still the possibility that you
are simply undergeared for certain content and don’t succeed because of that, but to
have the highest chances of success in any of the content, you simply have to put an
effort in avoiding damage. Something you can do for extra rewards as
you go about playing in the Royal Continent is faction flagging for one of the Royal Cities. As you go about doing various open world activities
such as gathering and killing mobs you will gain faction points which you can use to buy
various rewards that you can sell for silver. However, you will become hostile towards players
of enemy factions but in my experience the rewards outweigh the risks greatly. Also, the standard zone-rules apply to Faction
Warfare which means you won’t lose your gear in the blue and yellow zones even if
you get killed by a player of an enemy faction. In the red zones on the other hand you will
always lose your gear when you die, so also when dying to players of enemy factions. Starting with tier 5 items will have an additional
stat called Mastery Modifier which is a stat that adds bonus item power based on your mastery
levels on a specific item. So once you have some decent levels in your
masteries and specializations, start considering higher tier items as they can make for noticeably
more item power. When you max out a mastery or specialization
the fame you get for using those items during combat doesn’t go to waste, but rather is
converted into fame credits which you can use to level other items. However, the conversation rate is pretty low
at only 20%. What you can do to increase the conversion
rate is turn on auto-respec in your destiny board which bumps this up to 80%. But do note that this 60% difference will
cost you silver for every bit of fame credit you gain. Nonetheless I highly recommended having auto-respec
on at all times as it makes for very great progress. If I were you I would turn on auto-respec
right now and I would never look back. Fame, and with that fame credits, are simply
the most important part of your progress. Something new with the Lands Awakened update
is that when you dismount you will be able to use your Q, W and E abilities right away
if there are no enemy players near you. But if there’s someone within 40 meters,
your abilities will go on cooldown just like before. So if you didn’t notice anyone around you
and your abilities are on cooldown once you dismount, this will simply indicate you missed
someone. So, if you feel like you’re in danger with
someone close to you, simply mount back up and check your area. Different content in Albion Online has different
item power caps and it’s very important you know what they are because it’s very
easy to overgear for content and waste a lot of money by doing so. Arena for example has a soft-cap of 700 so
there’s no point going in with 8.3 gear that makes for double of that. You will simply waste a lot of money on repairs
for no particular advantage. Same goes for other content such as Crystal
League, Hellgates, Corrupted Dungeons and more. So, use the Albion Wiki to check what the
item power caps are for various content and gear up accordingly. Do not accept the first guild invite that’s
thrown towards your face as there’s a high chance it’s a so-called potato guild. Potato guilds are guilds that have their taxes
set to maximum and don’t provide any content for their players. So any silver you pick up directly goes to
the guild and you don’t get anything in return. I suggest you turn guild invites off in your
settings first thing you do as you enter the game, and you only join a guild you’ve found
through official channels such as Discord or Reddit. But you should definitely join a guild if
you want to enjoy Albion Online to its fullest. There’s a lot of content you can do as a
solo player, but playing with others makes this game so much more fun and grants you
access to a lot of new group content you would otherwise not be able to do. For example, the Avalonian Raid which is typically
done by 20 man groups that provides a weekly fame buff of 10% once you successfully clear
it. I think it's great to use your learning points
to unlock tier 4 for your first couple sets but after doing that I would highly recommend
saving your learning points until you know how you exactly want to go about using them. You might just get interested in a particular
activity such as gathering and your learning points will have much more value for you then. You only get 20 learning points per day if
you have premium, so make sure to use them wisely. I feel like this is the lesson new players
learn all too quickly but I wanted to ensure I mention this one in this video as well. The blue and yellow zones are considered safe
zones and the red and black zones have the full loot feature to them. So don’t bring all your stuff to the red
and black zones and only go with what you can afford to lose, which shouldn’t be more
than a cheap set you have equipped and maybe a gathering tool and some journals. Honestly, I think among all the advice I’ve
given today this is the piece of advice I hope you take to heart which is that you should
never overgear in Albion Online. It’s very easy to feel like gear is the
problem when you lose or die, but I’m very sure that 99% of the time it’s something
as simple as having an ineffective build, getting hard countered, going for content
that’s beyond your level or simply not being as good as the enemy player. If you are to point at your gear every time
something goes wrong you will quickly lose all your silver. So go with cheap sets, go with budget builds
if you have to and play based on your own budget and nothing else. When you are roaming around in the more dangerous
zones of Albion, such as the red and black zones, I highly recommend you swap your abilities
to those that will help you escape in case you get ganked. So if you have a Mage Cowl for example and
you use it for the damage it makes for, just swap it to the knock-back as you are traveling
from zone to zone. Do keep in mind however that negative effects,
such as crowd control, will put you in combat, so you won’t be able to zone out directly
after using such abilities. When playing in the open world invisibility
potions are your best friend when it comes to surviving. When doing specific content other potions
will be much better but for open world survivability it’s best to have a few invisibility potions
with you. I highly recommend you try out different content
in Albion Online. There’s simply way too much to do in this
game and you won’t know what you enjoy most before you try it out. If for example you want to solo fame farm
you can do solo dungeons, corrupted dungeons, hunt mobs in the open world or Roads of Avalon,
and even do group dungeons on your own. So you may not know which activity you enjoy
most without trying them out first. As for my final and most important tip, but
only if you want to become a better player, make sure to Subscribe and turn on notifications
for my channel. I hope this video was helpful and I wish you
a great Albion journey. And who knows maybe I'll see you sometime
in the world of Albion or on my Discord.
