3 Simple Ways to Repair/Restore Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) File Using Command Prompt

[Music] hello youtube hi everyone welcome back to my channel sharon knowles video tutorial in this video i'm going to show you how to repair and restore windows 10 recovery environment file in windows 10 or 11 here we have three ways to restore windows 10 recovery environment file to do that follow these steps okay let's start solution number one if the windows recovery environment file is not found in windows partition if the win array file is available on your recovery partition copy it with re file inside system32 recovery folder using diskpart.exe commands open the search box by pressing windows logo key plus queue on the search field type cmd in the search results you will see command prompt then choose run as administrator it will open command prompt window when you see that command prompt window has opened on your computer type the following commands type the command disk part and hit enter then type the command list to disk and hit enter then select disk 0 you select hard disk where u0 stands for the boot drive your operating system drive select the disk 0 and hit enter type the command list volume list world and hit enter this will display all volume of attached hard disk on your pc next type the command list part and hit enter this will display all partitions of the attached add disk on your pc now here you need to confirm the volume which one is your system recovery partition now here you need to select the volume which is your system recovery volume you can see here volume 2 is the windows install drive volume 3 is the system recovery drive 499 megabyte the same the recovery partition is volume 3 then select your volume in my case volume 3 is the system recovery partition type the command select volume 3 and hit enter now you need to assign a new drive letter to volume 3 type the command assign space letter is equal to v column and hit enter then you should see disk part assigned the drive letter successfully then type exit and enter to exit the disk part after that type the command dir space forward slash s space forward slash airspace v column backslash and hit enter if the windows recovery environment file is available on your recovery partition copy its pin array file inside system32 recovery folder using this command type the command x copy space forward h space v column backslash recovery windows r is backlash win re dot vm space c column backslash windows system 32 backslash recovery and hit enter and then type yes all after for a while then you should see file copied now type the exit and hit enter to close the command prompt window that's it you are done now you can try to restart your computer to check whether the issue of windows 11 recovery environment problem is missing is solved or not solution number two restore windows image with dism and restore health command if there are problems with the system image you can use dsm command restore health option to scan and repair common issues automatically to repair windows image problems with the dism command tool following these steps open the search box by pressing windows logo key plus queue on the search field type cmd in the search results you will see command prompt then choose run as administrator it will open command prompt window type the following command to repair windows image problem type the command there some space forward slash online space forward slash clean up dash image space for slash restore health and hit enter once you execute the commands the deployment image servicing and management tool will connect it to windows update online to download and replace damaged files this process will take a long time be patient this will fix any corrupted files that might be causing the problem on your computer once complete then you should see message the restore operation completed successfully this process should be fixing your problems restart your computer to check whether the issue of windows recovery environment problems solve it or not solution number three in a windows recovery environment with command prompt open the search box by pressing windows logo key plus queue on the search field type cmd in the search results you will see command prompt and then choose run as administrator it will open command prompt window in the command prompt window type the following command to check the status of windows recovery environment firstly type the command reagent c space forward slash info and hit enter if the windows recovery environment is disabled on your pc you need to type the command re agency space forward slash enable and hit and to enable it this process will take some time be patient once complete then you should see a message that tells you the operation is successful then again type the command reagent c space forward info and hit enter then you will see windows recovery environment enabled [Music] once complete type the exit and hit enter to close the command prompt
