As someone who was born in Alaska and has been to BC a few times, this video is so incredibly BC/ALASKA it hurts. It has the washed up hippy aspect of Alaska with the "I accidentally invested in real-estate in the 70s that is worth millions now so I can keep living the 'Bohemian Lifestyle' I talked about when I was high on shrooms once in 1969" of British Columbia.
This is so cool. But I wonder what are the legalities of just setting up shop in this cove? Are they allowed to do this because itβs on water? Iβm guessing they wouldnβt be able to build this compound 20 feet away on land.
Like how do you even find yourself in this position in life? Comfortable, content, skills to literally build your own island out of recycled items in an idyllic setting. And here I am 30 years old, stuck in affordable housing, in the ass end of nowhere busting my ass on barely above minimum wage to make ends meet and will never get out of this shit hole.

They're not the only ones doing this.
Hate to be that guy, but the more they described and went on; the more it was evident that they would not be able to live without the harmful creations we already have. Not to mention the burning of garbage and previous procedure of dumping sewage in "big water." As individuals they feel like they have a smaller footprint but I'd venture to say their footprint is larger than a couple living without a car anywhere in America.
I'm listening with headphones. Is it just me, or did anyone else hear something quite NSFW in the background under him talking from 8:56-9:10? Here's a link to the spot.
I also heard someone rip a couple from 12:45-12:52. Was the sound editor high while making this?
Please someone tell me I'm not crazy.
I bet they fuck like monkeys.
