the Toy Story franchise was a total undeniable hit the movies asked the question what do our toys do when we're not around and brought us into a world where Cowboys befriends spaceman and toys battle each other over the love of their owner while some would argue that they're perfect films we would agree to disagree while no doubt the content is flawless we found some pretty unbelievable editing flubs that had us scratching our heads join us as we go to infinity and beyond let's start at the very beginning a very good place to start in Toy Story 1 an important plot point is that Andy's family is planning to move we learned this when woody says we've only got one week left before the move and I don't want any toys left behind the toys quickly scramble to find moving buddies and throughout the movie it is impending what we noticed is that during the scene where Andy is becoming more and more obsessed with Buzz Andy's mom changes her son's wallpaper to a spaceman theme if they were moving within a week why the upgrade either she is a very dramatic decorator or the creators slipped up when the toys first meet buzz everyone is in awe he's shiny he's brand new and he claims to be a real Space Ranger as we know woody is less than amused he has always been Andy's favorite and is in constant fear that he'll be replaced woody tries to mark his territory and show buzz that there's only room in this town for one sheriff but is clearly threatened by this new recruit when the toys remark on Buzz's lazer woody says it's just a little light bulb that blinks it's not a laser there's a little light bulb with blank however when we see buzz using his laser the light is concentrated in a single red dot meaning it is a real-deal laser pointer rather than just a cheap light there are so many continuity errors that we spotted throughout the first Toy Story film that it makes us think the person who was in charge of continuity must have been asleep on the job objects appear and disappear and things change without warning so often that it's honestly more unbelievable than talking toys one moment we caught happens before andis big birthday bash during the scene and he picks up his baby sister Molly from the crib then carries her downstairs to join in on the fun because his arms were full he leaves without putting the side of the crib back up in the following shot the cribs gate is back up even though no one has touched it explained that pics are another moment that made us scratch our heads is when Andi is about to go to Pizza Planet for a slice of pie with his mom his mom tells him he's only able to take one toy so woody gets worried that he won't make the cut and Buzz will be the chosen one woody confides in a magic 8-ball and pathetically asks the question will Andy pick me to which it replies don't count on it keep your eyes on that magic 8-ball with aunty pick me when Andy puts Woody and Buzz on the desk the ball is not there but seconds later it appears as if out of thin air I guess it's more magic than we thought when Woody and Buzz are plucked by the claw they have no idea what's coming for them Sid aka The Devil's spawn takes them home and puts them through a small torture where nightmares are made the boys are introduced to a number of SIDS experiments and left shaken to the core thankfully Sid has a younger sister Hannah who is not pure evil like her brother she's very accommodating and finds it in her heart to invite buzz over for a tea party we did spot one little mistake during the Tea Party scene though when Hannah leaves the tea pot is pointed towards buzz but when woody enters the tea pot has moved maybe one of the other toys did it Andy's mom has got it going on she throws bangin birthday parties lets her kids have copious amounts of pizza and seems to by Andy an extraordinary amount of toys while there is a dark theory that she is a toy abandoner and the original owner of Jesse will save that for another video and focus on her good qualities the most important being that she has a minivan which could easily fit an entire soccer team while it seems like the perfect ride there was something fishy we noticed about this particular vehicle in some scenes the minivan is shown with a sunroof clearly a great feature but in other scenes it's gone we don't know whether to be baffled or impressed when woody is trapped under the crate at SIDS house it's a pretty dire situation we're pretty sure if he doesn't jape he'll be tortured to no end and join the band of mutant toys buzz is no help he's depressed and thinks he can't help anyone especially himself woody tries to pick him up by explaining the importance of being a toy and with an inspiring speech buzz jumps back into action before we can celebrate with them let's rewind and spot the mistake in the scene in the crater there's a book that says the improvised interrogation handbook that's visible next to woody when Buzz starts helping move the toolbox so the book is very much m.i.a the toys have a number of ways to communicate with each other when they're scattered throughout the house at all times they must be careful not to draw attention to themselves and remain incognito one of the resources they use is a baby monitor the army man treated as a pseudo walkie-talkie and report back to the gang the movements of Andy in the scene when the troops are warning everybody that Andy is on the way back to the room we see woody next to the baby monitor then the camera pans out and we see a chaotic swarm of toys running to their places but the baby monitor is gone by some small miracle it reappears next to woody in the next scene another goof we found that concerns the army man happens during the scene when Andy is opening presents all the toys are anxious about newcomers so they reasonably are hyped up about the prospect of the next hot thing entering into their lives the army boys are ordered to go on a mission to overhear what Andy gets for his birthday and report back to the home base they go to great lengths to get this information all the while trying not to get caught our favorite moment is when they parachute down the stairs in order to get closer to the main event what doesn't make sense is while we see their parachutes inflate when they slide down the rope the parachutes are completely gone let's move on to Toy Story 2 while you might think that after the first film they should have learned from the mistakes they made think again the fun continues and we have a whole load of examples to prove it one of our favorites happens during the scene when Hammond wrecks are watching the TV Hamm takes control and in a huff uses the remote to turn it off when the TV is off however in the screen we can't see the two toys reflections that should most definitely be there while we could spiral down the rabbit hole of theories that Rex and ham could be vampires we'll chalk this one up to a funny mistake in Toy Story 2 Andy is preparing to go to a cowboy camp with woody but while engaging in a particularly rambunctious game of cowboy spaceman and he accidentally rips Woody's arm you should never tangle with the unstoppable Andy is told by his mother that toys can't last forever and therefore must brave camp alone while woody is left at home to sulk woody is horrified by what has happened and is beside himself that he can't accompany his pal for some fun in the Sun during the scene when Andy finally returns from camp and he climbs up to the shelf where he left woody and it is full of clutter in the close-up shot however all that clutter seems to disappear how convenient during the scene where the toys are trying to infiltrate enemy territory led by none other than Buzz they embark on a particularly dangerous ride on top of an elevator to Al's apartment in hopes of rescuing their friends Buzz takes charge and leads the toys to believe that he can carry them all the way up but that fantasy is quickly dashed when he realizes he's not Superman and cannot carry the weight we know from this clip that Al's apartment is on the 23rd floor meaning they have to go all the way up yet when they jump off the elevator they run through an air vent on the ground floor not near the roof where they should be it seems the editors didn't exactly think this one through in the adrenaline-inducing scene where mr. Potato Head has found himself inside of a pile-on cone in the middle of the street we watch in terror as a giant tube narrowly misses flattening him like a potato panini if Yuri watch this scene closely you'll notice that he waddles helplessly and unknowingly right in the middle of its path meaning he should most certainly have no hope of escape amazingly in the next shot the cones position is changed and our little friend is much closer to the end of the pipe meaning he hobbles away just in time mr. Potato Head can thank whoever was in charge of continuity for saving his life a close call indeed in the sequel we meet the character Weezy a pitiful little penguin who was shelved due to his broken squeaker apparently Andy's mom had said that she was going to fix him but ended up tossing him aside hoping her son would forget about him and he did way to go Andy your true colors are coming through when woody discovers Weezy gathering dust he is lodged in between two books embarrassed at his predicament he tells woody his woeful tale that he tried to yell for help but no one could hear him then he alerts the toys about the upcoming yard sale the issue is when woody was originally placed on the shelf he was clearly alone there is a shot where we can see the entire shelf and Weezie is clearly not present while we agree that buz often goes to infinity and beyond with his toy capabilities there are a couple of things were certain he can't do for one he can't actually fly and definitely needs assistance in that area secondly there's a scene in the beginning of the film where woody falls off the dresser and while coming to the rescue buzzes arm goes directly through the orange loop in the car track upon first glance it seems normal but when you slow down the footage you'll see what we mean well it's cool that he looks like he becomes a ghost momentarily this is definitely the editors flubbing up sorry buzz you're not that nifty as we all know a big part of Toy Story 2 is about Andy growing up and distancing himself from his toys in childhood at the beginning of the film he's forced to leave woody at home because of his ripped arm this is a very important plot point because if woody had been shipshape he would have been allowed to go to camp and we would have seen an entirely different film after his arm is ripped we see that Woody's arm is limp and cannot move on its own he has to physically pick it up as if it was one part rag doll but in the scene where woody is taken by the toy collector we see him flail both arms around during the scene where would he gets his boot painted over we are without a doubt seeing toy trauma happen in real time this moment is deeply chilling as we know how much Andy means to woody thankfully we later see woody scraping off the point to reveal Andy once more we have two questions for this example number one the man who fixes woody calls himself a professional he has a whole kit and matching outfit that leads us to believe he knows what he's doing yet he uses paint that comes off with one rump explained that and two originally the a was at the tip of the boot when we first saw it when woody uncovers it the a is at the bottom it makes absolutely no sense and we need answers people and now for Toy Story 3 you guessed it this film is chock full of goofs as well it seems no matter how long you try and fine tune things mistakes always slip through the cracks the first thing under inspection is the flashback scene where Andy is playing with his toys during this sequence we see through a home video that Andy is tossing about all of his toys including mr. Potato Head we can see that mr. Potato Head is missing which in itself isn't unusual because he's always missing key facial features but then in the next shot he appears to have grown a new one when the toys find themselves at Sunnyside daycare some are optimistic and see it as a miracle the way they see it they will always be played with and will never have to worry about children growing up and neglecting them or worse kicking them to the curb woody on the other hand is horrified he is Andy's toy and will always remain loyal to him and him alone woody therefore attempts to return home he slinks his way through the daycare and has to play it cool when he sees humans see if you can spot the mistake in this scene did you see the no running sign if you didn't it's probably because it disappeared so quickly the toys are reasonably terrified when they see their peers are starting to be put in the Attic the army man just fully abandoned ship and everyone else is petrified about potentially living out the rest of their days in darkness forgotten by everyone but moths during the scene where the toys run to hide in the chest in order to escape their impending doom there is total chaos as everyone tries to make it there before Andy and Molly make it back to the room Woody and Buzz are by the white drawer which has one drawer open when Andy returns and Molly pesters him about things she wants to use while he's at college we see the drawer is magically closed yet no one was near it if you saw Toy Story 3 in theaters no doubt your entire audience was ugly crying in the dark during the scene when Andy left for college it is heart-wrenching to see him grow up and say his goodbyes to his family and his toys and turn into the good man we always knew he would be we're thinking at college he'll be the kind of guy who keep his dorm room tidy and call home often when we see Andy's personal belongings being packed up there are two concert tickets in the top left corner marked Saturday November 17 2009 now when we looked at the 2009 calendar that date actually fell on a Tuesday nothing gets by us Pixar there are many moments throughout the film where woody is trying to grapple with antiaging he is trying so desperately to hold on to Andy's youth he's worse than an overbearing helicopter parent would he spend so much time reminiscing about the good old days wishing he could rewind time and be Andy's favorite forever in the scene where woody is looking at an old photograph of Andy playing with Woody and Buzz we see a white crack in the photo the camera then moves to show us Woody's pained expression then cuts back to the photo only now that crack has changed from white to black it's very subtle but when you see it you can't unsee it at Sunnyside daycare the kids don't play nice they practically ripped the toys apart and drool so much it's as if they're attempting to drown their new playmates the only break the toys get is when the kids go out for recess to burn off energy elsewhere when the children leave we see the clock on the wall says that it's 3:00 p.m. when they return however the time reads 1:00 p.m. which means they've gone back in time to hours either Toy Story 3 is actually the prequel to the Netflix original Russian doll and the toys are caught in a loop of having to be slobbered on every day or someone messed this up royally we're thinking it's the ladder at the end of the film the toys are taken in by their new owner Bonnie woody is finally at peace and we are optimistic that he will have a very good life with his new friend who appears to have a very sweet disposition and a penchant for wearing ballet tutus there's a scene where Bonnie is playing with her new toys and puts them into a blanket parachute bouncing them up into the air in slow motion we see that woody is beside a porcupine wearing a kind of Robin Hood getup when they land this little guy should be in theory beside woody but for some reason he ends up on the other side of him there is really no explaining this one at the tail end of the film when the toys are making their big escape from Sunnyside they have lots oh the not so friendly bear at their heels the toys are almost out of his grasp when they realized that one of the aliens has been left behind woody bravely returns to rescue him and just as he does Lotso grabs Woody's foot upon watching this scene the first time we were too shocked to think through the mechanics of it all the issue is we just saw also fall to the very bottom of the garbage and he is definitely not tall enough to reach the lid so it makes absolutely no sense how we'd be able to grab woody the good thing is woody made it to safety and that is all we really care about we hope you enjoyed seeing these mistakes as much as we did Lord knows there are many more so if there is something that we missed by all means let us know in the comments below is there another animated movie that had some unbearable goofs tell us about it we'd love to cover more films in the future until then be sure to smash that subscribe button for updates on our new videos see you next time you [Music]
