$25 Thrifting Goodwill Outlet Challenge

it's cold again it's gloomy you know what I think it's about time I take part in the $30 thrifting challenge you know what we're gonna go to my local goodwill outlet the way and pay that pay by the pound or just see what we can find this midweek on this gloomy day will we hit the jackpot we just come away with a pound less than a pound what's gonna happen I don't know let's find out so I typically don't do a lot of filming and like goodwill outlet the goodwill outlet if you don't know is well-known for fact they don't like people filming in their store I respect that look at that cart oh my god that's crazy there we go we thinned it out a little bit we thinned it out a little bit not by much there was quite a lot of stuff today about every 15 minutes they were putting out and we've been if you don't know how it works they bring out new bins they close down and I'll quite the day let's see what we got alright so I ended up with two giant bags 22.6 pounds at my warehouse that's 97 cents a pound once you get above 20 pounds so grand total of 2192 let's unbox this this is going to get really interesting I have an amazing find I gotta show ya alright so I started unboxing everything and I started recording a video and I realized that I was like 48 minutes in so I'm not gonna do that I'm not gonna do a 48 minute video I'm sure you would know watch the 48 minute video maybe you would but that's a little weird so here's everything I'm gonna be as quick as possible I wrote down estimated values already looking most of the stuff up so this is the stuff I got at my weigh-in pay once again this was like 97 cents a pound because it was over 20 pounds so let's get right to it and we'll break down what we have what it's worth and so forth I always look for sheet music perfect condition Nirvana the bass collection I found these going online for like 20 bucks super thin super light goes meteor rate it should sell immediately Media looks like somebody put this five dollar sticker on here or any like a garage sale or something the borders price back here is as sixty-five dollars which which is nuts but this weight loss set this weight loss TV CD I think I can sell for like 25 bucks it's brand-new in there the shrink wraps a little crunchy I'm not really gonna count this and the value of it but I got a bunch of Legos and a bunch of minifigures in there whenever I find Legos I just take them home I throw them in a big box and when I get like 20 pounds of it I sell it I typically find maybe five pounds a month little pieces here and there it's always worth picking up all right I'm not gonna make you guys wait to see this amazing find I found two others in my entire life now it might look a little roached this is a Purina denim hat more importantly if we look at the back now if you can see it's a que product denim hat look up right now on ebay sold listings 4k product denim hats especially Purina k product denim hats the last hat I had found was about a year and a half ago I sold it for two hundred and I want to say $60 this one I will clean up I am going to list this for 150 dollars it may sit it may not the only reason I'm listing it for 150 is the foam insides gun not that big of a deal but overall in good shape I will very carefully clean this I forgot to add this is a Louisville company having a corn in the Hat market this is one of the Holy Grails not the Holy Grail but one of them extremely extremely excited to find this be on the lookout for those I'm telling you if that's not a bolo I don't know what is spongebob squarepants snow globe [Music] I think this is the theme song I don't I don't know I don't want to SpongeBob SquarePants oh shut up maybe too much noise yeah the Krusty Krab it's in great shape typically when you find snow globes especially at the goodwill outlet the way in pay and I regret winding that up they're gonna be broken they're gonna be missing pieces or chips this is in perfect condition I went to looked it up I think it was like 25 bucks snow globes are not hard to ship just take your time all right Owen speaking of hats I wanted to show you guys this this is what you would call a painter's hat they're incredibly light flimsy this one here is destroyed but these vintage painter hats this is a Miller Beer look at that classic world oh this was wasn't like this this would be an easy 20 or $30 flip I just wanted to tell you guys right now look out for old painter hats you would be surprised I'm a minute I'm throwing that away because it says it's destroyed but I wanted to throw that out there all right oh boy oh boy oh boy all right we have a philips norelco electric shaver looks like somebody had a garage sale I'm gonna clean this window up but it's in here it has this charging cord and it has two charging cords for some reason it works is charging right now always open them up and make sure that all the heads are free working they are I always make sure that little extra trimmers working has the cover the instruction manual I looked this up one loose without the box and instructions were going for like 50 bucks I'm going this box up I'm gonna cut this out it's a clear piece of plastic in here I'm gonna decorate it up real nice it's not lying to the customers just making the Box presentable take me 20 minutes to do it and the extra charger cord I run in to these trimmers quite often especially the Philips charger or the Philips brand trimmers it's a lot of times you don't have the charger now I have a second charger or I could sell the charger on ebay but I'll probably keep it this is a really nice this is ever new this is a CEO set this is this is a camping cookware set brand new and there's a little cook pot in the bottom brand new it's incredibly light when I open this up there was a little tab of plastic on here so I'm literally going to sell this as new without tags I think that Seth was going for let me see I wrote it down here about $40 in this condition well in used condition on eBay I might put it like 49.95 on it I don't know a little bit more because this is literally brand new very light easy to ship on the same vein I got this MSR I think it stands for is written right here if you never remember mountain safety research really high-end camping products this is a stove it looks a little used but believe it or not these have quite the following this is an incredibly light backpacking stove comes with the reflectors in there even comes with a little key I don't know because I haven't really taken a time to look up the exact model number but I know used stones especially MSR type stoves in this condition go for around $40 so that's probably what I'll put on it this is a I don't know I just picked it up for me this is a original photo print signed by the photographer a little bit about him I think it's like from Hawaii it's a pretty cool photo I mean of like a lava dome so I don't know anything else put in my office yeah traditional price tag from the gift store $65 I don't know I probably spent at what you know 15 cents on that or something why not I looked it up I couldn't find any comps but here is a pioneer this is a six-cd changer to set for like your car remember remember when cars has CD players do you remember that when dinosaurs are on the earth a lot of people they lose these they want to play CDs in their vehicle they're gonna need another one I don't know I I'm thinking anywhere from 15 to 20 bucks I don't even think I looked it up that's I think that's what they go for was what the last one ran sealed obsolete media Maxwell formatted floppy disks brand-new sealed what was sealed it's okay I shouldn't have a problem getting about 25 $30 for these two sealed disk packs let's go through the media real quick I look for obscure titles and stuff you don't really hear about self-help and health is really good as far as DVDs and informational here's a couple of DVDs this two pack 12 15 bucks here is a guitar man it's really obscure 1980s music I never put on DVD I'll say I don't know 10 bucks and then this is awesome rollerblade just look at this there's gonna be a tease doesn't that just don't you just want to own it just for that cover look at that my goodness this copy here is pretty sought-after they go up for up to thirty dollars and use condition rare out of print VHS look for it it's right in front of you everybody ignores it alright these are a bunch of different colored Crown Royal bags for some reason at the goodwill outlet my weigh-in pay a couple times a month I run into him this time I ran into a bunch of them I save them until I get like can pack a large flat rate box with them and I sell them I typically get like forty to sixty dollars I'm talking a lot though I mean I really lot them up so this is going they're gonna be saved in another box along with the Legos well separate box do it this was kind of interesting juggle fit I know juggling is supposed to be good for your core and also I've always wanted to learn how to juggle so this is brand new in here brand new DVD brand new juggle balls never been opened even has a little carry case in there um quite honestly I got this for me because I've always want to learn how to juggle I thought it'd be pretty cool but I went online I went on eBay I could not find it there was zero comms I searched all over the internet and I finally I had to go to their actual website and they had like a juggle kit with bean bags for like 60 bucks and I think the balls themselves were going for like 20 or 30 dollars so I mean I don't know I'm probably going to keep it for myself but just kind of interesting juggle fit in case you're interested that's the barcode Dianetics l ron Hubbard Scientology 99.99999 add about a thousand zeros on it l ron Hubbard books do not sell there are so many unless you have a complete set of like basics of Scientology this isn't a really good presentation edition gold bound and when I opened it I thought this was very interesting no it's not that's not why you cooperate with me this is the presentation copy to it Jeff Jeff Jeff Murray and recognition to your contribution to the expansion of Scientology in South Africa so it's a presentation copy I just thought you know I've never seen like a really nice hard bound copy of it I don't know I'm gonna put it on now for 29 bucks and we'll see what happens all right now we're getting now we're getting into the hats I I showed you that first tag that didn't want you to wait but but here's what I got NRA a lifetime member needs cleaned up about 15 bucks what we got here kappa kappa sigh or i think is the fraternity not a lot of gear for them i'm gonna put it up for like 15 20 bucks some of these are going to go through the washer of course they're a little dirty sheriffs Association of Texas why not haven't seen one like it 15 to 20 bucks support your local fire department try neutral aid fire association vintage hat good shape the foam is still intact it might even be a k product hat and then again and I've said this before if you ever wondered what this design here on here is is called the nickname of scrambled eggs because they look like scrambled eggs so if you're looking for keyword scrambled eggs and the Hat world that's a pretty big thing for natee ammunition sold one very similar to this for like 20 bucks I'll put fifteen to twenty bucks I love buying hats at the goodwill outlet I literally pay pennies this is a vintage boondocks with the scrambled eggs USA this is probably 1980s you can tell it's definitely 1980s I'm gonna made in the USA this is pretty popular about 25 bucks for this hat it's in impeccable shape super sure here is another k products denim hat that has literally been destroyed I don't know what I'm gonna do with this I'm definitely gonna list it in this condition it will sell how much will sell for I don't know I'm gonna start the price for this in this condition at 20 or 30 dollars and it will get a bid and it will sell how high it will go I don't know just remember K products Adam hats the Golden Bear Club is a golf club and I believe California fifteen to twenty dollars sleeps this is quite old actually this probably eighties I'm gonna put $25 on that great graphics really really good shape here is a Jameson whiskey hat this style hat I don't think I've sold this exact one but 15 or 20 bucks here's another gun rights hat second gun rights hat all probably my math wrong - um throw in the washer lock these together for like 20 bucks they will sell here is a Nike writers cup hat 15 to 20 I think I've sold one just like this not too long ago someone manufacturing air compressors just this is also a k products hat I don't know it's not denim of course but I will put it on for like 15 bucks and this one this one has me stumped I get a ton of vintage hats this one actually has a McDonald's logo on it and trash Buster's a polka chamber I have no idea I don't know it's the McDonald's authorized branded hat no idea so I had to grab it here's a Seagate remote control I've tested it this will sell for about $15 [Music] the secret to testing remotes if you don't know put batteries in them I'm pointing at your phone hit a button if you see it glow it means the IR is working and sending a signal if you see nothing it's dead throw it away so a little tip for you and I think finally yeah we got this right here this is a Swami izo is oh this is a golf distance calculator originally this comes with a micro USB cord I have one i'll lot it up with it these go for me i wrote this down like about 30 bucks so I'll clean this up a little bit charge it up it was working and had a super low charge but so yeah not bad once again I spent $24 something like that I can't already had it written down somewhere but the grand total of second hand you used a ebay prices is going to be somewhere a little over $600 not bad for about an hour and a half very lucky to find that hat today was a great day at the lamp a I don't always get that lucky so some days are better than others today with pretty good
