thanks to HD 4k and the ability to go frame-by-frame and our favorite Disney and Pixar scenes movie fans have discovered hidden moments and gems the filmmakers never intended the regular audience to notice how curious are the Pixar Cars what copyrights was Disney stealing before they owned them and how did disney hint at the demise of some of our most beloved characters we're going way beyond just some Pizza Planet trucks here get ready to pause rewind and discover some of the craziest paused moments from the Disney and Pixar archives get your popsicle [Music] despite creating some of the most vibrant worlds and family-friendly characters the animators at Pixar are obsessed with The Shining we'll get to a whole lot of creepy shining references a little later but let's kick things off with cocoa in the movie watch when cocoa runs through Freitas art studio on a painting in the background you'll see a portrait of the shining twins yep even in animated form these twins give us the creeps and hopefully the kids don't notice them enough to ask what movie they're referenced from and we'll toss another moment in when Coco spots Dante in an alley check out the corner there's Jack's axe stuck into a wooden stump and a red drum red drum red drum spell it backwards okay we're gonna go ahead and tuck our Coco blu-ray away just for a little bit if you're wondering if Gaston had the slightest chance of survival from his massive fall in Beauty and the Beast the answer may come from the man himself even though VHS copies kept things pretty innocent the DVD and digital releases give us some insight on Gaston fate as the Beast hurls the man to his demise look into his eyes you will not see the beast mischievously looking on but rather a pair of ominous skulls those skulls make things pretty clear Gaston is a big goner time to end the theories and speculation he didn't land in water and even if he did no one could have survived a fall from that high this isn't Looney Toons times have changed and unfortunately some of the Disney classics feature cultural moments we wish newer generations were not exposed to in 101 Dalmatians Cruella Deville is simple being on cigarettes over and over again but at least we can dismiss the unhealthy habit as another poor decision for the puppy nabbing villain the true question is how do you explain the lovable Peter Pan who puffs up on some questionable pipes and blow smoke into various shapes the paused moments look bad enough but things get even worse if you press play and have to listen to what makes the red man red yeah pretty safe to say that this song hasn't been played throughout Disney Parks recently when humans ceased to exist the cars come to life and man are they into some pretty adult stuff not only do we see Lightning McQueen get flashed by some of his biggest fans early in the film but there's another blink and you'll miss it moment the animators snuck in as we go through some of the highway shots the cars pass by a truck stop if you look beyond the billboard you will see the name of the area as the top down truck stop when the cars start taking their own tops down you'd get some pretty revealing interiors okay there's no way around it the film is referencing a strip club remember those old-school cartoons where a character would bonk their head and a giant bump would protrude from the spot while Disney's Hercules tried to create the same classic design with some peculiar results when Hercules takes on the River Guardian a huge punch causes him to fly in the air land in the river and then feel the pain of his own horseshoe knocking him on the skull well the large bump and shape that forms it looks far more like something other than a bump and the two shapes just below it pretty much confirm what the animators were going for seriously how could they draw frame by frame and not notice the painfully obvious allusion to something below the belt if you were raised in the 90s there were a whole lot of Disney rumors that got spread around there's the whole scx dust scene in The Lion King the Little Mermaid's happy priest and Aladdin's desire for people to take their clothes off while most of these were proven false there's one rumor that turned out to be true the flash frames of a topless woman from the rescuers yep as the little toomai screws down the hill the windows of houses features quick flashes of well flashes the sneaky animators were able to get those released on VHS but you have to have had literal perfect timing to after the blurry moment future releases added a note too scandalous shots but you could still nav a classic tape version on eBay if you want to own a piece of Disney's naughty history Toy Story was innovative and timeless with the use of CG animation but you could tell there was definitely room for improvement especially in the way they animated humans case in point picks our animators probably didn't want many viewers pausing scenes out Andy's birthday party the reason all of his party guests were clones of Andy sure hair color and skin tone changed but it was a whole world of Andy characters all hanging out together creepy Disney may own pretty much everything under the Sun now but back in 1989 they were limited to their own wheelhouse this is why it's so surprising to see a cameo from another company make an appearance during King Triton's grand entrance scene of the movie the cameo was from none other than Kermit the Frog the green guy sits among the other fish there's also goofy Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse sitting in the crowd but we have to wonder if Jim Hanson productions approved the appearance of the Frog oh well it's too late now considering that Disney owns the Muppets and with Kermit's likeness free to use we got to enjoy his brief cameo in Ralph breaks the internet Finding Nemo was chock-full of cameos as long as you looked outside the tank that Nemo gets dropped into the waiting room of the dentist includes a comic book preview of The Incredibles and a pretty recognizable toy on the floor you know there it is Buzz Lightyear himself we just have to wonder if since this Buzz Lightyear is from Australia does he have an Australian accent in Toy Story 3 we learned that buzz has a Spanish mode so an Australian mode wouldn't be too far out of the question how cool would it be to hear Hugh Jackman say to infinity and beyond ah crap now the movies over that's why they didn't want us to see now it's time for another Pixar movie with another Toy Story character we're looking at you Rex the Dino is far from extinct in the future when he appears with Wally's collection of goodies hidden inside his makeshift home you can spot Rex hanging out between a few bowling pins the more you think about it the sadder it is that Rex is there is this V Rex like Andy's official toy the film takes place in the future so is Rex the last one remain what does he do all day or maybe he's just a fun Easter egg we've overanalyzed way too much kids pay attention far more than we realize case in point the Disney Christmas classic the Santa Claus the voice of Buzz himself Tim Allen starred in the film and we heard a great one-liner where he mentions a phone number for 1-800 spank me while kids with access to phones decided to try the number out for themselves and the moment turned into a lot of telephone charges for an adult online there must have been some intense conversations after those phone bills came in Disney originally decided to edit out the number but now the original line remains in both the blu-ray and digital releases of the movie Randle may have been an evil and cheating monster who got way too many thrills from extracting the screams from children but he definitely knew stuff in a throwaway line from the original Monsters Inc Randall mentioned how humans would take the fur from monsters and turn them into toilet seat covers we all laughed and mostly ignored the quote until 11 years later when the line finally paid off in the Toy Story shor partysaurus Rex look closely at the toilet seat next to Bonnie's bath the whole thing is designed in the pattern of Sully's burg piece does this mean Sully was captured and turned into a toilet seat cover another piece of dark humor from those crafty pics our animators when Belle was forced to stay at the beasts mansion she was able to explore everywhere but the West Wing well naturally she found her way over to the area and what we saw wasn't pretty at first glance everything seems like a big mess but if you look closer and freeze-frame a few moments you will spot broken furniture destroyed frames and clawed up pieces of wood while considering how so many other pieces of furniture in the house where humans put under a spell then who's to say these ones were either the Beast seemingly went on a rampage destroying his own stuff in the process is there a charge for furniture manslaughter the musical film Fantasia is broken down into several segments but none were more controversial than the pastoral symphony the short follows a group of centaurs and Center rats playing a festive celebration together the problem here comes in the form of sunflower a blatantly racist portrayal of a servant to the tourettes after a lot of criticism the home release of Fantasia completely removed the character of sunflower but there are some moments where you can sense sunflowers presence the red carpet rolls itself out on its own when sunflower did so originally also when one of these Center rats is getting buffed the screen is clearly cropped when sunflower is supposed to appear in the bottom-left corner in moaƱa the character of Maui gets all of his transformation powers from the large hook he carries around in the Polynesian culture the hook itself is known as the maniacal Lani or more simply referred to as the Chiefs fish line while this isn't the first time that a Disney movie featured a magical hook if you look closely while watching lilo and stitch check out the necklace that David Kawena wears in one part of the movie the necklace is the exact same hook design Maui hats and it's a nice little way to connect both movies and has all of us wondering about a possible stitch in Moana crossover when frozen debuted all everyone was talking about was the moment when Rapunzel and Flynn showed up in arendelle well there's another little moment that was even better we're heading all the way to oaken's trading post for the scene look closely at the front counter where oaken sits at there's a collection of wooden figurines now check out the one on the far left it's Mike from monsters Inc so with the Sully carving and brave and the Mike statue and frozen we officially have a connection between the Pixar theory and traditional Disney films let the rumor gates flood open Toy Story 3 made the decision to age Andy and boy has he gone through a lot his teenage years he has a full bulletin board of items but there's one thing that depicts our animators probably wish that they could erase from the film Pixar movies are known for teasing future films with fun Easter eggs and in this one they decided to put up a new crossing sign the only problem Pixar cancelled a production of new when the film's plot was too similar to the animated film Rio ouch what a waste of an easter egg now the Newt sign is just a quirky decoration Andy has we already showed you how Rex was the only toy left in Wally's collection but his home of goodies had another interesting prop when we first saw wall-e back in 2008 we thought nothing of the rusty old Walker in the robots collection one year later we were watching Carl and up and put two and two together somehow someway wally was able to collect Carl's Walker confirming that the lovable old man finally perished and got to reunite with Ellie we just wonder where exactly Wally found the Walker and if Carl ended up going on another great balloon adventure or not Disney may dominate the box office but they are also looking to fill their theme parks so why not toss in a little cross promotion every now and then in Hercules they had that chance during the song I won't say I'm in love the muses transform sing along and provide a whole lot of visual entertainment for the story of Hercules at one point during the song the muses line up so we just see sculpt of their heads do they look familiar while they are posed almost exactly like the grim grinning ghosts from Disney's Haunted Mansion ride the moment is a great dedication to the singing ghosts it's about time we get a Haunted Mansion movie oh yeah there is one well then it's about time that we get an interesting reboot zootopia's take on the world of animals it was a great parody of our human world animals wore clothes sloths worked a desk jobs and we got a lot of funny pop-culture references all in animal form one of the more creative moments when we got a glimpse of Judy's mp3 player as she scrolls through her song options several of the artists are real singers but with their names remixed into animal puns some of them are innocent and there's a few others where parents should be very wary of their child looking up songs with explicit content examples include canine West fur fighters or guns and rodents the real artists are pretty easy for kids to figure out and just a few minutes on Google to turn up a whole lot of music not intended for the average Zootopia viewing audience the live-action jungle book movie had the chance to fill the voice roles of the animals with a lot of famous actors Bill Murray played Baloo Lupita Nyong'o voiced Raksha and Christopher Walken lended his iconic vocals - King Louie Walken not only voice King Louie but director Jon Favreau took a chance to highlight one of Walken's greatest acting moments when he hosted Saturday Night Live his infamous cowbell sketch has followed him for years as he uttered the line we need more cowbell over and over again well when Mowgli enters Louie's home he finds a cowbell among his collection of items there's a fun little moment for the adults watching one of the weirdest moments in frozen has to be when the Duke of weselton decides to dance with autumn the dance moves that he pulls out is a bizarre combination of wacky hands and head motions if the dance looks familiar then you can call yourself a proud fan of the sitcom Arrested Development the dance was taken from the show's chicken dance move removed and that's the whole point of the joke their dance looks nothing like a chicken sadly this is one of the only Arrested Development Easter eggs Disney has graced us with but Tony Hale does provide the voice of four keys so there's always that to look forward to ever hear the myth about the lemmings who are so dumb that they'll follow each other anywhere including right over a cliff while in Zootopia the cliche is taken head on when the lemmings eggs at the bank and Nick is able to sell them all ice cream bars one right after another turns out the whole myth was invented by Disney themselves back in 1958 Disney released the documentary white wilderness and a huge portion featured a group of lemmings jumping off a cliff and eventually drowning well the sad part is that Disney staged the whole thing the lemmings were essentially forced off the cliff and the crafty editing made the whole thing seem like there were a lot more lemmings making the big leap and now sue topia has expanded on the urban legend keeping it alive for a whole new generation there you go what a collection of moments anything that we missed which ones were you surprised to see do you love hunting down Easter eggs well let us know in the comments thanks for watching and don't
