since I've made this video All About Celebrity Cruise tips and secrets and being honest ugh a lot of it is actually out of date so it was time for a new video after we just came off our recent cruise on the celebrity Beyond now in this video I have well over 25 different Celebrity Cruise tips that are going to include Celebrity Cruise cabin tips Cruise tips for food and dining Cruise tips to save money on your Celebrity Cruise and as well even well the recent updates that you absolutely need to know about because if you don't well you're going to be shocked or maybe surprised when you get on board now most important whether you're new to Celebrity Cruises or you are an avid celebrity Cruiser it will give you even more of an idea of what to expect on a Celebrity Cruise now and Beyond now it and please subscribe to the channel if you haven't done so already let's get started firstly what can you expect on a Celebrity Cruise Celebrity Cruises is a quality cruise line that calls itself Modern Luxury now it's definitely on the modern side but it doesn't feel stuffy or snooty in any way however it's not a luxury Cruise Line there are definitely some perhaps you can sometimes surprising extras that you will find on Celebrity Cruises however service on board is very good to excellent at times and the experience overall does feel very elevated now when it comes to celebrities cleontel well in the past it definitely did seem to serve a little bit of an older demographic that does seem to be changing and we did find on a recent cruise on Celebrity Beyond one of celebrities Edge class cruise ships that the Democrat graphic on board was actually very diverse and covered a wide range of Ages so I hope this gives you just a little bit of an idea of what to expect right off the bat and now let's get into those Cruise tips one of the first things that you should do is download your Celebrity Cruise app now in particular once you're on board it's actually going to be very important there are some things that the Celebrity Cruise app can do that I have not seen on other cruise lines now in particular if you are booked on one of celebrities Edge class cruise ships so not only can you I think on all of the different cruise ships you can take a look at the menus in the evening I like to do that so you could do that in advance on your phone of course you can also take a look at some of the different activities that are happening on the cruise ship and by the way if you don't always like to look at the activities on your phone you will have a daily planner that is placed in your cabin every night now one of the best things that you'll have on the Celebrity Cruises app and this is is definitely not something obvious but if you are on one of the Edge class cruise ships we were just on the Beyond and we were able to use this we loved it it is that you have control from your phone over certain elements in your cruise cabin so this includes the lights you can turn them on and off to morning light dim them all of that you can do right from your phone you can open and close your blinds if you're in an infinite Branda and you can even adjust your temperature in your cabin and by the way you can do all of this from your phone even if you're not in your cabin so if you want to adjust the temperature before you come back to the cabin you can do that as well number two let's talk about celebrities dress code now a lot of people have told me that they worry That Celebrity Cruises is going to be too like fancy for them this is not the case at all so Celebrity Cruises on the most part they're basically Resort casual or smart casual most of the time especially in the evenings during the day you'll find people wearing what they would wear on any other cruise line so basically just pretty casual clothing and in the evening you do have instead of formal nights you do have the evening Chic dress code and basically this is sort of less formal less fancy if you will than a true formal night you'll definitely have some people that are wearing suits and evening dresses but you'll have other people that are wearing dark jeans or that are wearing khakis and a polo and maybe even a sundress or pants and a top however it is important to note That Celebrity Cruises in its main dining rooms and its specialty restaurants does not allow shorts in those venues and is one cruise line that is known to on the most part enforce this now when it comes to food and dining there is a lot that is included on all celebrity cruise ships now depending on the cruise ship you are going to have different venues that are available so on celebrities I guess older cruise ships the Millennium class and the solstice class you're going to have your main dining room you're going to have your Ocean View cafe or your Buffet by the way in the main dining room you do have open dining or select dining they call it and you also have traditional dining which is early and late dining times however there has been a change that seems to have been made on the Edge class cruise ships and this is something that we found on our recent cruise on the celebrity Beyond now on the Edge class cruise ships you have four main dining rooms I'm not going to go too much into the detail of that but basically you have four main dining rooms that have a set menu that is the same in all four dining rooms and you have special menu items that are included that are different in each of the different themed restaurants now in our opinion two of our favorites were Tuscan and Normandy but obviously this differs for everybody so you can definitely try all of them if you like however on our cruise we found that there was no longer a set dining time so a six or an eight o'clock dining time and No Reservations were required we really like this we found it was very very easy so even though we stressed out a little bit because we could not get any good dining times before our cruise we found out once we boarded that we could basically show up at any of the different restaurants and we could get seated usually right away or within 10 minutes now something very important to know when it comes to the main dining room is there has been a change in January 2023 and celebrity is now charging for an additional lobster tail this was a case on the second evening Chic night now I do have a little bit of a tip or a work around this that I'm going to share with you so when it came to the main dining room menu you could order two of anything that you wanted the only additional charge was for the lobster so something that we were told by the waiters is that you can sort of order a surf and turf so if there was a stake on the menu that you liked you could have the lobster tail with it so you could combine two meals without having to order the entirety of those two meals and another little tip is if you are at a table for instance you're with four people and not everyone of the cable likes Lobster ask those other people to order a lobster tail on the side they will bring it to you and well then you do have those extra lobsters and you are not paying an additional I think it was 16.99 for an extra lobster dinner and while the lobster tail was quite small now I should also mention that you could order as many appetizers as you like as many desserts as you like and honestly the waiters are very accommodating now I'm going to talk a little bit more about the food but then we're going to get into the cruise ship cabins and we're also going to talk about celebrities all included including what's not included and what you might need to add on extra so when it comes to the included food you have of course the Ocean View cafe that is the buffet that is open for breakfast for lunch for snacks and for dinner I have to say on a recent cruise we ended up finding out that the dinner I don't know if this is something that is going to change but this is something that seems to be as of January 23 that there are less options for the dinner in the buffet on our ship we have heard this from other people that were on Celebrity Cruises in January I hope maybe they consider changing this because it really wasn't that plentiful but otherwise Ocean View cafe is absolutely amazing really really good and the food quality is very good for a buffet we even had some very delicious well a fresh Caesar salad with fresh parmesan absolutely delicious and worth trying in the Ocean View cafe now you also have pizza at the Ocean View cafe several different stations now in addition to that you have Scoops which is an ice cream bar that is all sort of hard ice cream and sorbet absolutely delicious Mass Grill has your burgers and hot dogs and all that sort of fast food french fries that kind of thing that is close by to the pool area on celebrities Edge class ships so the edge the Apex the Beyond and soon the ascent you also have Eden that is a good place to eat for breakfast and for lunch there are some really nice sandwiches and salads that are available also in included in your cruise by the way this is a little bit of a hidden area or an Easter Egg Cafe albaccio this is a celebrity Cruiser fan favorite and if you are new to Celebrity Cruises you might think that there is an additional charge for Cafe Al baccio however while there's an additional charge for the specialty coffees and teas all of the pastries and the desserts and the muffins all of that is included and you can take these to go or you can sit down and these will be served to you the presentation is lovely now something that I noticed was that there were gluten-free and vegan options for the Cakes and Pastries as well I did try one of them and it was absolutely delicious room service is available however there has been a change and it is no longer free well except for one time and I will share that with you so room service used to be free or included on Celebrity Cruises that is a change that they now have and there is now a 9.95 charge for room service I believe it's like a delivery fee and there's also a service charge on that so it comes up to about twelve dollars and that basically is for anything that you do have delivered and that's for the hot breakfast lunch snack items dinner late night snacks all of that now if you do want to have room service included there is a continental breakfast that is still included now please let me know by the way if you enjoy ordering room service on a cruise please let me know down in the comments below cruise ship cabins so this is not going to be an extensive list of all of the different tips when it comes to the cruise ship cabins but there are a few things that you should know so of course you have your interior cabins you have your Ocean View you have your Verandas that you can book or your balcony cabins and you have your Suites now when it comes to The Veranda cabins you do have different choices you have your standard brand a cabin you have your concierge class Veranda cabin that does have certain amenities that are included and you have your Aqua class cabins now the aqua class for around the cabins that is something nice if you want to have access to the thermal Spa especially and you do have a nice benefit which is eating in the restaurant Blue that is exclusive to Aqua class guests now when it comes to your standard Verandas if you're on one of the Edge class ships you do have a choice between the infinite Verandas these are most of the balcony cabins on the cruise ship you'll also have the porthole balcony cabins I don't personally love the look of these that much and you do have your Sunset Verandas now I do have a video all about the infinite Veranda I will leave that at the end of this video in case you do want to check it out we really did love it but I know that is a controversial cabin people either love it or hate it but truthfully we really did find that there were more Pros than cons at least for us now when it comes to the Suites one of the nice things about the Suites on Celebrity is on the ships that do have this you do have access to the retreat Sun deck which absolutely looks beautiful now when it comes to cruise ship cabin locations this tip is very important for anybody that is on edge Apex Beyond and Ascent assuming that it is going to be built the same way so cabin location is very important there are only two elevator and stairway areas so you don't really have a true aft elevator if you do have a cabin that is in the AFT section of the cruise ship you might find that that is a far away from the elevators so just be choosy where you do choose your cruise ship cabin location to make sure that it is somewhat close by to a Stairway or elevator infinite Veranda hidden secrets there were two things that we didn't notice on our infinite brand that until it was pointed out by other people so I thought I would share these little tips with you so when it comes to a full-length mirror you do have one in your closet when you open that door but the other place that you have a full-length mirror is when you do see your mirror that is above your desk you can actually slide that desk into to the dresser area if you do not need that desk that is a good idea it will actually open up space in your cabin and it will reveal a full length mirror now the other little secret spot is in the bathroom if you pull out the drawer that is right under the sink it really is hard to notice it it looks like it's just part of the sink however that is where you're going to find your blow dryer and you're also going to find some extra items that you might need for your cabin like extra hand towels and Kleenex boxes celebrities all included rate so now you have a choice when you book with celebrity to book with the all-included rate or to book Cruise only if you book with the all-included rate you are going to get your tips your basic Wi-Fi and your basic alcohol package which is the classic package it's going to be alcohol and coffee and water bottles that is going to be included with your cruise now if you like you can upgrade your beverage package to the premium package and that is going to give you access to some of those more expensive drinks and it's a available for about fifteen dollars per person per day you may also want to upgrade your Wi-Fi if you upgrade to premium Wi-Fi then you're going to get access to at least on the ship that we were on to starlink Wi-Fi and I have to say it was pretty good now an extra tip is that depending on your loyalty status with celebrity you may be able to get a discount on your premium Wi-Fi now when it comes to the Loyalty perks celebrity has Captain's club now something that you can do is not only earn points when you do cruise on Celebrity but if you've cruised before with Royal Caribbean after a certain amount of cruises well that loyalty status can be transferred over so do check into that and as well something that you can do is sign up for celebrities emails and you can earn power up points now the way that works is for every 10 power up points that you earn you will get one celebrity Captain's Club point now this is a little bit of a random kit but I'm telling you you are going to appreciate it it is ask your cabinet can end to remove the different items from your mini bar unless you want to buy them now what you can do instead especially if you do have one of the beverage packages is you can pick up any of the aluminum water bottles and you can fill your fridge up with water bottles for it nighttime or when you're going on shore excursions and then you won't even be tempted to drink any of those mini bar items which are not included on your cruise now here are a few things that I think you're just going to love on Celebrity so one of those nice things is first of all that they do have twice a day housekeeping they still have that and they do put those little chocolates on your pillows I like those little extras so to me that is a really nice touch that celebrity continues to have something else that they do is when you return to the cruise ship then you have cold towels that are out for you and they have some Citrus water and plain water for you as well to welcome you back to the cruise ship now there are a couple of favorite places to check out on any Celebrity cruise ship so that includes the sunset or the Sunset bar is the perfect spot to catch the sail away on embarkation day as well as a sail away from any of the different Cruise ports you'll even have acoustic music that is playing there it really is perfect and the other area is the martini bar the martini bar is the place to be and be seen and check out the different things that are happening it is definitely a ton of fun you will have the bartenders that will do these Martini bartender shows you'll have the chandelier show on the Edge class cruise ships it is definitely a ton of fun now when it comes to eating breakfast I have two different recommendations one of them is do make sure to eat in the main dining room the service is very good the food choices are good I would definitely do that especially maybe on a sea day but the other place to go and eat breakfast is at your Buffet however at the very back of the buffet the AFT you will find a lovely seating area that you can sit and watch the Wake while you have your breakfast or even your lunch or any meal of the day but that is really a nice spot and sometimes people don't see it because it's at the very back so just keep walking now other activities that you'll find on Celebrity cruise ships that you'll really want to check out is the silent disco in my opinion a celebrity does it better than any other cruise line that I've seen it really is a little bit interactive people just get really into it it is a lot of fun the other thing of course are the Production shows the guest entertainers they are very good and something to note is celebrity seems to have some of their shows playing a little bit later than on some of the other cruise lines so sort of nine o'clock even 9 45 sometimes I personally like that because I don't like to eat too early in the evening but it is something of course to watch out for on your cruise planner and the other thing is the captain's talk the captain's talk is usually on the Lassie day of your cruise it is always something very interesting on our last Celebrity Cruise we got to hear from Captain Kate but we've heard from the other captains as as well on past cruises they even take questions from the audience and we always learn a ton now I have a few quick tips on how to save money on your Celebrity Cruise because Celebrity Cruises are not the cheapest Cruises out there however I do really think for everything that you get that they are a very good value so one of the ways that you can save money of course is book an interior cabin honestly the service that you're going to get on board is going to be the same whether you have an interior cabin an Ocean View cabin or a veranda cabin of course it does change at the suite level but otherwise your cruise experience is going to be very similar now if you do want a better cabin but you could live with the cabin that you've booked try booking the cheapest cabin and then bidding for an upgrade now book any extras before your cruise do that online on the cruise planner so oftentimes there is going to be a discount of 10 to 20 or sometimes more on shore excursions on upgrading any of your packages so do take a look for that and by the way if you do have any onboard credit usually on Celebrity you can use use that onboard Credit in advance to book these items on the online Cruise planner now take a look at flights by celebrity we found the prices to be competitive and in some cases even cheaper than booking directly with the airline book with a travel agent that is going to give you perks like an onboard credit now in some cases with celebrity especially if you're booking six months to a year or more in advance some travel agencies that book a lot of Celebrity Cruises they are going to have better pricing basically group pricing that they are going to be able to offer you for your Celebrity Cruise and this is one way to actually save money in particular on Celebrity Cruises now by the way I do get a lot of emails asking me for travel agent recommendations if this is something that you'd be interested in please let me know down in the comments below and the easiest and I think the most fun way to save money at least for your next cruise is book your next cruise on board this Cruise now there are a couple of ways to do this and I will share with you the tip that I like the best so one of them of course you can sit down and you can book your next cruise and choose your next Cruise if you like but if you don't feel ready for that you could simply you don't even need to meet with anybody pick up one of the papers and you can simply write down your information and you can book a future Cruise deposit with a hundred dollars per person you just need to put that into the little mailbox and your account will automatically be charged and at the time that I'm filming this the deposit was refundable on the cruise that we were on so just obviously make sure to know the terms and conditions before you book but this way you can get home you can shop around if you like you don't have to feel pressured into making any decision right on that cruise and the other tip this I heard from somebody else on the cruise I thought it was genius she said that what she does is on the very first day of the cruise she books an appointment with the future Cruise consultant for the last day of the cruise that is a great day to shop for a cruise it gets super super busy on that day so book your appointment on the first day for the last day and you will not be disappointed and what's the benefit you might be asking well on your next Cruise you're going to be able to get and use an onboard Credit Now the onboard credit does depend on the type of cabin that you've booked and the length of cruise but it is basically free money so why not now I'm going to leave a couple videos
