welcome to the week 2 of Starfield mods it's kind of crazy that so many mods came out in such a short amount of time especially considering that we don't have the access to the creation kit compared to the last episode we will be expanding our Horizons past just quality of life and will have 25 mods to get through in under 10 minutes so let's Dive In star UI this user interface overhaul is to Starfield what sky UI is to Skyrim more compact menus to scroll through cater to an average PC user thicker scroll bar for more pleasant scrolling experience more sortable columns and properties like damage DPS Mass value value per Mass item category sidebar and many quality of life features boosted to run to 60fps undelayed menus significantly improve the responsiveness of in-game menus bid farewell to the lengthy fading effects that occur when opening and closing them utilize enhanced press to exit buttons that operate at twice the speed and 60 FPS This Time Saver of a mod also works in conjunction with star UI with a properly applied patch so you can enjoy the benefits of both make sure that the undelayed menu is on top star UI below followed by their patch would you perhaps enjoy a feature where docking landing and taking off were instant well that's where ship skip comes into play now look I get it Bethesda and their developing team spent a lot of time making these and they are undoubtedly very cool they're carefully crafted cinematics to give the player the illusion of entering the planet's orbit but after about hundreds of times watching these it gets pretty damn old waiting for 16 seconds to get to play the game I mean look at docking less than a second with this mod but the mod doesn't come without its drawbacks it's lightly buggy and sitting up and getting up from the pilot seat is comically fast so Choose Wisely I guess faster favorites menu speeds up the favorites menu animation and removes flickering this mod is one of the more subtle ones and difficult to present in a video format but it's very noticeable when you actually use it especially because it's also boosted to 60 FPS it makes gameplay more fluid as entering favorites menu mid-fight by Design already takes you away from the action for a brief second so you want to make sure it's instant classic sprinting sfse plugin that does exactly what it did to Skyrim as well it changes Sprint Key input to behold to Sprint instead of a toggle and supports both keyboards and controllers jetpack overhaul now this is one of the funnest additions to the game and a bunch of people say it's potentially unbalanced but I personally don't care instead of tapping the Boost key repeatedly to stay in the air now you can hold the Boost button until the bar is depleted and the possibilities for a super fun gameplay is now endless some heads-up display changes enhanced player health bar this is a tiny mod that dynamically changes the player's health bar color that is tied to its percentage value lightish blew from 100 to 75 yellow from 75 to 50 Orange from 50 to 25 and red from 25 and Below alternate options for 100 to 75 thresholds offer green and white color as well enhanced boost bar similar implementation from the same author except that it's a single color change for the Boost bar from white to a light blue smart aiming sfse a plug-in created for first person shooter enjoyers that automatically swaps to first person perspective every time a player aims down the sights it's quite an interesting mod and implementation it does take a bit of getting used to but it works very well it's obviously made for third person gameplay in mind as it does swap back to it once you're done aiming down the sights firearm tweaks this is one of the more controversial mod picks as it is essentially a significant power boost to the player but considering that enemies in Starfield are actual bullet sponges and full magazine is required to take a single opponent down lengthy reload times can hinder the gameplay pacing and potentially make it dull for you FPS try hards out there looking for a fast-paced experience since unfortunately the game does not offer perks to speed up the reload times except for very minor Buffs from the books you find this might be for you now look I get it this is not for everyone and that's the beauty of modding adjust the game to your liking and have fun the mod also optionally increases aim stability both of these changes contribute to a more action-packed style gameplay without surface level hindrances slowing down the experience real flashlight a simple retexture of the flashlight Gobo to remove banding artifacts with increased brightness and size to make it look like a real flashlight true aim star feels default Mouse camera control has few core flaws and this mod attempts to fix them did you know that the Starfield X and Y axes are not one to one or that Zoom aim is not one-to-one relative to the normal sensitivity or that the game has an annoying aim assist snapping with the true aim all these flaws are now fixed so you can have full aim control when you're unloading your magazine into a Target immersive shell casings see the aftermath of a firefight you just went through by removing the 10 shell casing limit to the amount that you choose between low medium high and Ultra faster mantling take advantage of drastically sped up and improve responsiveness of mantling and climbing another model removes surface level gameplay hindrances and the best part about it is it allows the player to regain control as soon as climbing is finished instead of having to wait for a Split Second walk faster sometimes I think there is a silent agreement between all developing Studios to make sure player character and NPC's walking speeds do not match it's kind of hilarious really and apparently in Starfield NPCs walk about 24 faster than the player character with this mod the player's walking speed has been increased so you no longer have to play the catch-up game throwing flashbang dartmo terminals a mod that gives terminals a darker theme and makes a terminal startup less bright includes all Terminals and kiosks in the settled systems last episode we spoke about Bethesda insisting on adding weird filters and used reshade to fix it natural lookup table a new set of custom process slots that aims to remove the game's washed out hazy green filtered look while still maintaining the color grading and artistic direction of the original game it also aims to ensure black levels always reach true black in the darkest Shadows of all Luts and they have been ran through a series of custom actions in Photoshop that performed several functions on each base slot the result removed the vast majority of the green purple and otherwise unpleasant portion of the original color filters and lifted black levels enhance brightness and more pleasant colors there is also an enhanced version that has more brightness contrast Vibrance and overall is punchier and more finished looking it is designed to look as good as possible without the need for further post-processing this version is a bit more neutral than the main one but also maintains the unique sense of color for each lookup table Rudy reshade if you want to go all in on visual Improvement in full it includes several reshape presets prepared for vanilla color grading and neutral Luts we just spoke about I chose a cinema version that additionally removes greens increases contrast adds adaptive sharpening Bloom and lens flares let us go back to more quality of life mods visible skill descriptions is a mod that I pretty much installed as soon as it was uploaded as I consider it a fix that should have been in the original game from the start it allows the player to see locked skill descriptions without having to open their respective leveling trees it's kind of essential for build planning especially in the early stages of your playthrough have you ever encountered this in your playthrough or perhaps do you frequently run out of ammo due to Serious lack of supplies craftable ammo and utilities I know revolutionary right an ability to craft usable items in the game anyway with this mod craft ammo Diggy picks and even Med packs to your heart's content yeah hold to equip extended another plugin from the creator of smart aiming that allows us to hold to equip all items in the world space whether they are weapons consumables or books you can now directly interact with objects without having to first place them in your inventory look how awesome this is you can now learn skills from books in the world space or directly heal yourself by holding an interact button enhanced dialog interface a mod to improve your dialogue experience with a more refined look it will turn your dialogue interface from this into this a wider and more Center text improve text Clarity featuring a subtle Shadow for better readability italic text for previously chosen dialog options and fully customizable there is also a vanilla plus option with wider black bars or go crazy and replicate The Fallout theme if you want the options are endless and finally last time we covered clean field a mod to get rid of all of the unnecessary clutter from the main menu so we are in need of a custom wallpaper something lore appropriate that fits the theme of a space kit hold on there is a different mod Orbit's main menu is a thematically matching main menu replacer with a planet and its Moon orbiting a star and a color scheme appropriate for the game that is if you don't mind getting flashbanged every time you open it and that is it for this week's coverage of Starfield mods if you enjoy these showcases consider subscribing to the
