the previous full-size version this iteration has slimmed down to a medium size to compete with other popular off-roaders like the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler this also frees up the full-size SUV market for the Toyota Sequoia inside the Land Cruiser seats five across two rows and comes equipped with the latest infotainment technology to satisfy modern consumer Toyota has also included Advanced Driver assistance features recognizing that most owners will use this vehicle both for weekend adventures and daily commutes when it's time for off-road fun the Land Cruiser is ready with a four-wheel drive system featuring low range gearing and locking differentials returning for the 2024 model year the boxy new Land Cruiser rides on a thoroughly modernized platform this update brings Hybrid Power and a more compact form making it Well Suited to take on off-road Rivals from Ford and [Music] Jeep the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser has a starting price of $5 57345 with the topend model reaching $763 45 depending on the trim and options the last time the Land Cruiser was available in the US it had a Hefty starting price of $887,000 however this new version comes with a more appealing base price of 50 of $445 reflecting its smaller size and five seat configuration given the pricing details the mid-range trim of the Land Cruiser appears to be the best value it includes features like ventilated front seats a 10 speaker stereo system a larger 12.3 in infotainment display and wider allterrain tires making it a well-rounded [Music] choice this new generation of the Land Cruiser is Thoroughly modernized featuring a turbocharged hybrid powertrain instead of the previous naturally aspirated V8 engine the turbocharged 2.4 L 4-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors produces 326 horsepower this this setup is similar to the one found in the Toyota Tacoma all Land Cruisers come equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system which includes a locking Center differential low-range gearing crawl control and Hill descent control during our initial test drive we found that the hybrid powertrain delivers good torque and we anticipate it will be nearly as quick as the V6 powered Lexus gx550 we'll update this story with the 060 mph acceleration results once we test the Land Cruiser the land Cruiser's EPA ratings are impressive at 23 men PG
