so if you got a 2024 Mustang it might be a little confusion on how to drag race it apparently you have to put the car in Drag mode not a lot of people know this on a 2015 608 car to 2018 all you had to do was put it in drive there was no drag mode there was just drive and manual mode make sure you put it in drag mode cuz it's going to limit some of the torque reduction it's going to take it off and then when it hits the shifts in drag mode it's going to really shift it's going going to bang the gear almost you got to feel it it's different when you put it in regular drive and when you put it in any other modat cuz when you put this car in Drag mode when it hits second gear it wants to spend the stock tires so we got a set of 275s 275 47s we're putting on there this should bring the gear ratio up to a 370 because the car already has 355s so the only thing that's done to the car is it has 355s it has an xpipe and an air filter a green filter I mean it's a stock car so we're going to go out and uh see if we can't run a number with the draggy tonight and see what happens uh it's going to rain this weekend I was going to try to go to the track so we're going to have to uh get a later video on that but I'm hoping this car will go 11s with just a tire and the minimal things we have done to it the next thing on the list is going to be pulling some weight we're going to pull some weight out we're not going to do nothing drastic yet but we are going to pull some weight out the car so we're going to go make a couple passes in Mexico tonight and we'll see what she does I'm hoping for an 118 117 I will be ecstatic if it runs that number especially uh with the tires I'm thinking it should run that but uh like I said if you try to do this with the stock tires you're going to have to Pedal it really bad and uh I was trying to Pedal it the other day and you had to Pedal it so much felt like you wasn't even in throttle so so I had to buy a set of tires I knew right away it's like yeah we got to get a set of tires on this thing so we don't have to Pedal it as much so I'm hoping I don't have to Pedal it but uh if not we'll see what happens I'm going to show you how to set up the drag mode in the cluster if you haven't messed with it yet and uh we'll go from there so you're going to go to your modes right here and we're going to go to track mode I'm sorry drag strip mode I tried it in both track and drag strip and you can definitely feel the difference when it shifts it's going to shift a lot firmer and it's going to limit some of the torque reduction on this car so it it bangs the gear really good and if you have the stock tires on leave the traction control on I'm going to try it both ways tonight with the traction control off and with the traction control on and we'll see if we have to Pedal it but with the stock tires I would recommend leaving the traction control on because when it hit second it does like to bite and it will go sideways a little bit so let's put the wheels on and uh we're going to um go run a number tonight and see what it'll run [Music] the brakes are like literally no joke guys I can't even it's like one finger you can barely even fit in there I mean there's like super duper close I didn't even uh didn't even balance these yet because I was afraid that the caliper was going to hit the wheel weight so this is going to be a test see how bad they Shake it shouldn't be too bad right now but if they do I'm going to go back to work and uh rebalance them see how close how close we can get the wheel weights on there without hitting the uh calipers so like I said it looks kind of funny with the uh small Tire on there right now but it's going to be well worth it especially when I lower the car it's not going to have that big old Fender Gap the front's still gapped out too pretty good it's not even flush with the fender the front tire it's inward less of a gap but you can see how high the car is sitting so we'll address that soon that's only $300 mod just going to take some work to do it one little Saturday couple hours won't be too bad the suspension kind of settled a little bit after uh taking the car off the Jack and letting it sit for a little while so it did get a little bit lower but uh we still need to address the wheel Gap so I got the wheels Tork down and uh we're going to go test this bad boy and see what she runs so the car did go in 1185 on the draggy and all the car has done to it is a rear wheel and tire combo xpipe and air filter I'm pretty pleased with that that's a good starting point so we'll start pulling weight out next and uh see where we can go from there and we also had uh two other runs one was an 1188 and a 12l but the consistency out of a car is going to be an 1185 1188 I'm still trying to figure out where to launch the car at and that was the most consistency I had was around 15 to, 1600 RPM and that's what she cut and the left 1188 1185 and I think that's pretty good for a full weight stock car basically I mean this thing's heavy it's premium package with leather so I'm very happy with that so uh this is the Eighth Mile slip I ran a couple weeks back and the track had been broke on the quarter mile so it did go a 7.78 to the eth and uh the draggy shows a 7.75 so if anything the uh drag is always a little bit slower I find and uh the car should be a little bit faster so uh this is the best Slip I have and it's only Eighth Mile which I'm disappointed in so stay tuned and I'll get y'all a quarter mile slip so um with that being said thank you for watching and
