the bronos Sport's been a hit for Ford since it was released a couple years ago and it's pretty easy to see why it's got great styling good capability on-road and off-road it's got great power underneath the hood decent towing capacity but people just seem to be in love with this vehicle it's not quite as off-road capable as its Big Brother the full-size Bronco but when you look at something like the Badlands Bronco sport it is a pretty good Contender especially if you're just going occasional trail riding and things like that but in this video you're going to learn everything you need to know about the bronos sport if you're looking for some tech specific walkthroughs you can find those down in the description so if you want to know how to use the steering wheel buttons the cluster screen go through the sync 3 media screen you'll find those walkthroughs down in the description there are some subtle differences between the 2023 and the 2024 model some differences in colors but the base trim level is no longer available on top of that the Heritage limit is no longer available and Ford introduced a new funky one called the freewheeling trim which is this very 7s sque throwback so if you're looking for some different style that is available I'm still like waiting for the OJ Edition which I just don't think will ever come and then there are all sorts of accessories that you can get so if you wanted to do something like a tent over top and Awning that is available as an option you're so going to find the fender flares available from the factory two different options still so it's either going to be this like black Groove texture or there's one that's body colored that just pops the fenders out a little bit more just to give it a little bit more of an aggressive look and it's a rarity too I think I've maybe only seen three or four Bronco sports with those flares so if you're looking for something a bit different that is available as always you're going to find either 17s or 18in Wheels inside of the Bronco Sport with varying Styles depending on the trim level of the vehicle that you're in you're also going to find the bronos sport with Ford's intelligent 4x4 system so there's no front-wheel drive option available then there are a series of selectable goat mode so go over any terrain so you can lock it out to do different things like we'll play with traction stability control useful for like off-road slippery conditions and things like that there are a few elements of the bad lands that make it different than the rest of the bronos sport lineup there's off-road tune suspension you're going to get front bash plates there's also a front-facing camera so a trail camera which is useful because if you're going off-road you can shoot that camera in front of you to figure out what's going on around you across the entire bronos sport lineup you're going to find LED headlamps there are fogs down below few tow hooks in the front and then that beautiful Bronco lettering right in the grill underneath the hood of the Bronco sport there are still two different engine choices that are available so inside of the Big Bend the Outer Banks the Heritage and then the freewheeling you're looking at a 1.5 L turbocharged engine it's respectable like 181 horsepower and 190 lb feet of torque it puts it neck and neck with a lot of other vehicles in this class and this size but when you get into the Badlands version of the Bronco sport you've got this 2 L turbocharged engine pushes out 250 horsepower and 277 PB feet of torque it's honestly just like a night and day difference the amount of power in the performance that you get with the 2 L so if power is your thing you definitely want to look at the bad lands because this engine is only available in the Badlands trim level of the vehicle the 1.5 L engine still is a good choice but I just love power so the performance you're going to get out of the 2 L it's just a complete night and day difference regardless of which vehicle you end up going with I just recommend make sure you maintain it regular oil changes regularly scheduled maintenance to protect the manufacturer's warranty in the Ford world you're looking at a basic warranty of 3year 36,000 M or 60,000 k and then a 5year 60,000 M or 100,000 km which is pretty respectable filling up fuel inside of the Bronco sport is just along the driver's side it's an unlocked cover with a capless system it doesn't matter if you're in the 1.5 turbo or the 2 L minimal manufacturer's recommendation is just regular 87 octane so regular gas is all you technically need to use but the horsepower and torque specs are all achieved using a premium fuel so do you need to use it no but if you love performance you ideally want to use a 91 or a 93 octane I know gas prices are crazy right yeah we're sitting at like a buck 60 a liter right now so they are pricey if you have it in the budget try it but like I said you can just use regular 87 and you're still going to get pretty good performance out of this thing some versions of the Bronco sport are going to have the reverse sensing system just depending on the trim level of the vehicle that you're in then this one has the available tow package so you've got the four pin Provisions there and then your receiver Towing inside the Bronco sport it's going to be 2,000 lb Towing inside of the 1.5 turbo and then 2200 lb inside of the 2 L turbocharged engine towards the back end here you've got either the glass or release for the door so if you hit the glass that's going to pop this open very nice was a little highlight along the very top there and then you've also got the option of opening up the door itself it's only going to be a manual lift gate inside of the Bronco sport but this is good off to the left side there's some clips there and that's going to be for a shelving unit that's available you've got a button there in order to turn on your puddle lights so very useful later on at night and these things are adjustable there's one of the passenger and on the driver's side there along the right hand side little B bottle opener the inside there there's a 12vt PowerPoint it's also a traditional wall outlet so 400 W PowerPoint back there and there's also a light now this is the regular rubberized liner that you're going to find inside of the vehicle getting underneath there's the white spigot if you ever need to fill up using a Jerry can tiny little bit of storage there and then the fulls size spare tire so some versions of the Bronco sport will have the fulls size spare whereas it's optional others you could change the tire yourself but being a Ford owner you've got access to Ford Roadside Assistance and that's good for the same length as the powertrain warranty and it covers things like fuel delivery winching services Tire changes and things like that so you can do it yourself or you can have somebody do it for you your call I'm folding down the second row seats straightforward so from the back here right over top can push and drop now obviously if you need to fold down the second row seat and you don't need to go inside of the trunk to to do it all you're going to do along the top there just push and you're set to go the cargo measurements are based off of where the trunk would close right to the back of the armrest so you're going to gain or lose a little bit of space just depending on how far back or forward the first row seats are side view mirrors feature the blind spot monitoring system so if somebody's in your blind spot that's going to highlight orange to let you know it's a manual folding side mirror but they are heated so you can push there to lock slide your hand in in order to be able to unlock beautiful but along the door there's this nice highlight that follows through thats all the way through on the inside there too which looks nice but one thing that was introduced last year for for the 2023 model is driver seat memory it's available in some trim levels of the vehicle so you could set your driver seat up the way that you want to set up your side view mirror and then you're going to press and hold either one two or three for it to remember your own personal profile you've got your basic side view VI controls Window Control a little bit of storage and then this one is the upgraded bino sound system which sounds great I'll let you listen to that one in a minute you've got the trunk release figure out what's going on with your running lamps turn fogs on or off and then increase or decrease the brightness of the cluster screen the seats inside of the Bronco sport are comfortable and there's a boatload of space here too like with my seat as far down as it's going to go I've got 3 and 1/2 almost 4 in of head space pretty solid one thing you're not going to find though ventilated first row seats so this is not available in actually quite a few different Ford models like the escape the Maverick the Bronco sport don't have that available as an option whatsoever still the seat is really nice and at least having the heated option really really good in winter [Music] time look that start up ah nice and simple it's good steering wheel is just very fordes it's good bucking bronco right in the very middle and then this one because it's the Badlands it's pretty much as loaded as it's going to get cuz it's got all the added packages there but you've got the adaptive cruise control system volume rockers series of options of going through the cluster screen and then answer or hang up on a phone call Skip stations there's a voice command prompt as well there's tons of different options that are available inside of this thing but if you want to walk through like you want to know how to use the cluster screen the steering wheel buttons or the syn 3 media screen you'll find those walkthroughs down in the description of this video there's a lane keeping system so just general safety so it's going to nudge you back into your lane it's very different from the lane centering so it's not self-driving with the lane centering but it gets very very close there are paddle shifters inside of those things so plus and minus so big benefit there is that if you wanted to you could give yourself a little bit of a speed boost if you need to or just rely on engine braking as you go beautiful I love the highlights that little metallic High Lins there the bronze one follows all the way through the dash right across the top there down and around it's beautiful love it you're going to be push button start across the entire Bronco sport lineup and then this is the sync 3 media screen so there are two different options for the screen so it's either going to be with or without factory navigation what do you mean the factory nav in this thing is good pinch to zoom capabilities love it now whether or not you get Factory navigation it's not a big deal because this thing does support wired Android auto and Apple carplay so there is no wireless connection capability inside of this but you can use Google Maps Apple Maps or ways right through the screen it's good add in phones there's navigation tons of different settings and things like that that are available got an Android auto Apple carplay all that fun stuff audio is pretty good inside of this so there are a few different audio systems so this one is the 10 speaker bang and alen so two different systems available but there are tons of different sources so you've got AM FM Serius XM and Bluetooth there's also support for USB so if you had a USB stick with MP3s on it you're just going to plug yourself in these things down here they're both data transfer ports so you could use it for data connections for the USBC or the USB type A but there's USB audio now now before this plays there's one thing that I recommend doing going into your settings hop into your sound settings drop the treble by two crank the Basse by three that's going to give you really good audio inside of this thing this is just coming right out of this microphone itself there's no processing done whatsoever going to be a good day up going to be a good day W up going to be a good day that was at half volume the audio inside of this thing especially when you get into this 10 speaker system is incredible and it's just because it's a tighter cabin so the audio just is such a more immersive audio experience instead you've got a volume rocker tuning rocker and this one because it's the Badlands look at that front-facing camera it's very useful if you're going to be going off-road it's a tiny little storage tray and then you're either going to have single or Dual Zone climate control depending on the model of the vehicle that you're in basic climate settings I've also got heated first row seats as an option and a heated steering wheel and the heated steering wheel all the way around ah yeah there's the option for a wireless charge pad mentioned the two USBC power two USB PowerPoint so there's a USBC USB type A and then a 12volt PowerPoint there down the center stack you've got just a rotary dial shifter so park reverse straightforward reverse sensing system you can see the lines there there's neutral and then drive and then you've also got a manual mode so with the manual mode just slightly better control for the paddle shifters there but you can use the paddle shifters regardless if you're just in regular Drive there's an electronic parking brake Auto hold setting which is useful because if you're in Drive take your foot off the brake the car is not moving I was like please don't move please don't move but from there series of other ones so this one is going to be your Trail control there's also a lock a four-wheel drive lock traction control and then there's also a rear lock there too series of selectable goat modes so go over any terrain mode so look at this so many options normal Eco sport mode slippery mud ruts sand rock crawl so some modes are specific to the Badlands version of the vehicle but each mode it does something different like sport Mode's going to hold on to the RPMs a little bit longer give you a sportier performance versus The Rock crawl mode watch this watch what that does look at that so it automatically shot on the trail camera it's going to give you that four-wheel drive lock locking everything out and then getting rid of the traction control so like like I said if you are planning on taking your bronos Sport off-road you definitely want to go for the bad lands because of that additional mode there the armrest in this thing is non-locking and there are a few USB power points so another USB USB type-c this it's like a little texturized material that follows all the way throughout the dash nice little glove box Auto dimming rear view mirror is standard pretty much across the board and then there's controls to your cabin lights and this has the option Cent roof it's a single button press opens up the shaer that beautiful and then you can either vent or open this thing up look at that beautiful so single button press does open it up the full way so that's as far open as it's going to get but still having that available is pretty nice love it from there you've got a Homelink system so if you've got a garage door printer at home you can program it in there's a little ticket for seat holder on the outside and on the inside and then this thing extends out blocking all of the Sun that might be hitting your face now with the seat set up the way that I would typically drive there we go so with the seat set up the way that I would typically drive inside of the second row I've got a great amount of foot space great amount of knee space and an outrageous amount of head space like seven plus Ines it's pretty wild love the space in here now it's a little bit narrow though so could you fit three fulls size adults like my size yeah maybe it depends on who draws the Short Straw and gets stuck sitting in this middle seat it's definitely not the most comfortable seat though but the downside in that middle seat is that there's a little hump in the middle of the vehicle too so I can manspread and get in this middle seat okay but otherwise I'm going to be fighting for for these outboard seats you're going to find some Pockets so zippered pockets in some trim levels of the vehicle behind the first for seat for the driver and for the passenger side inside of the seat itself you're going to find some cup holders there built in all of the anchor points and then the top tether points too moving down you've got just your base vent control two USB type uh two USB PowerPoints so there's a type c and then a traditional USB type A and then there's also a 400 w what while it l back there too overhead there's a little handle and a hook and that's the same on the driver and the passenger side and then there are a few little lights up overhead that you can control too now there's one thing that's unique about the Badlands oh actually I guess I can do it from inside and one thing that's unique about the Badlands trim level of the Bronco sport the seat you can push there and LIF teeny little bit of storage I like how it's got so there's a shoe print there but I don't know man those are going to be some tiny shoes like baby shoes maybe but still kind of cool and that was a look at the Ford Bronco sport if you have any questions drop down in the comments section below and let me know but if you found this video useful give it a thumbs up subscribe to the channel if you haven't already and until I see you next time take care
