earlier and I didn't know you know a lot of times guys come out fast when the track's heavy and they they struggle to keep up with it not not a problem for you tonight no I felt like our stuff was really good there I uh I was trying to play a little saf there one and two and uh I think I think that let Mikey get that much closer to me and then uh he drove by me luckily the yellow came out I think he probably would have won so I got to thank whoever CAU that yellow related for putting me back out front and uh I don't know I started getting a little treacherous there around the top but I figure if if you're going to win it you had to be up there so I I got a little bit of body damage but that's all right uh got to thank hooker Trucking Big River Steel Colman Farms Jones racist products Melanie and CJ are here so uh the last two races they've been here we W so I think that that melan need to talk to Jen coming more often got to keep them on the road with you tell me after that restart right you see the 157 get by you did you find another gear or was it more a matter matter of settling back down uh it's probably more settling back down and I feel like you get going so fast down straightaways here it's easy to overshoot the the top and get yourself in trouble so I just had to kind of call myself back down like all right we know we got a good car just just don't screw it up uh got to thank Bros DJ Tharp uh Darla my wife my little boys my little girl uh it's pretty cool they all get to get to come out and DJ's whole family is here too so it's uh it's going to be a big one uh it'll make our nine- hour drive home a little bit easier lap traffic you got into it a couple of times there there were times it looked hairy like you you could lose a lot of momentum then there were times you'd pick off two cars at a time how difficult was it navigating traffic uh for the most part they were all real really patient and uh and they leave me landing on the top before I get under them they leave me the bottom I think I only had one problem with one dude drove back by me but uh other than that is it was good I just it was weird almost felt like the bottom picked up speed once we got I got to that traffic and I I know if it's just my Pace slowed down that much so it felt like I had better traction down there or not so it's like I moved down and then my guy was like you better get your butt going around the top again so I uh just try to do everything right not not really give it away uh I was really worried on the restarts just cuz I didn't know how good of a run Mikey would get off top so I kind of just slide myself and and take that line away from him so it uh it worked out congrats on a great weekend in the Northeast thank you I appreciate it you know Ricky here last year should have won that race and broke and and uh you know so it's it's just the comes and goes of it it's all good so uh just I'm just glad that we were able to race him good and and uh had a really horrendous night Friday night and got rained out last night so feels good to to get head headed back to Tennessee here on a on a good note and uh the other thing too is I told barels I said I was going to rough him up but they got to give me a ride back to Ohio tonight so so I couldn't rough him up either so here we go tell me about lab traffic a little bit cuz there were moments where it seemed like you were really catching him there was one time they said it on a broadcast he cleared two cars and thought that was going to be a big big move instead you rolled the bottom hung right with him man well you know I had a great car and great team and Greg Bruning and and you know everything he's done to give me top-notch equipment but you can't do it without a racetrack this racetrack is unbelievable man you can when you see something playing out you can just back up the corner and there's a there's a 10 ways to go through the corner every lap you know so uh so yeah everything he was doing I was just kind of reacting to and felt like I drove the car good there I felt like I make good decisions and you know got by him there but but just didn't work it
