2024 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 POV Test Drive

[Music] now starting the test drive in this Z06 with that V8 right behind me the sound in here is visceral first and foremost but secondly it's hard to really hear yourself think but who really cares gosh and the track mode just wants to give it everything it's just such an incredible machine from a driving perspective it's so quick it's so agile everything about it is just ZO6 is the best way to describe it now one neat thing is I'm not used to these kind of cars having the lane keeping system so even as I Veer out of this Lane I'm kind of getting knocked back in it kind of wants to keep you in the lines but it's not a lane tracing or a lane centering assist it's just if it feels you going one way or the other it's going to do something about it but ride of course is not I mean it doesn't float down the road but not really a big deal for me and when you have the top down that's the last thing you're thinking about you got the wind going every which way on a beautiful day but man this thing is gosh I just can't wait to open it up because I can just feel all it wants to do is go and the Dual clutch transmission the shifts are so in your face it's just ah I really love these cars ever since they came out I mean I've always loved the Z06 but specifically with the crank V8 I mean my goodness this is something but I mean for the money it's 140 Grand as price right now there was a 3lz that auto collection sold a while ago but legit it went for 240 250 and at that time you got that kind of money to spend this thing will put a smile on your face you you're not tripping over that money but it's nice that the price of the vehicles have come down just a tad because it does just make it a bit easier to attain one I'm going to come out of this corner and give it something I mean it's it's effortless it's insane this thing is so freaking quick and the exhaust sound the engine sound everything it does feel like a Ferrari it feels like Corvette legit just copied off Ferrari which in some ways I'm assuming they did but I don't know it might be a bit better in certain ways and especially for this to only been out for a couple of years they really hit the nail on the head with this it's just so impressive from a performance aspect now I don't even want to put this you know what I'm putting in track mode and I'm just going to see how it shifts [Music] going to keep it hot as I come around this corner here give it a shift there I'm going to let the car take over now here we go I mean just effortless absolutely effortless gosh such a great sound such a great ride just everything screams sports car with this thing insane I'm going to put the cruise on actually I'm not cuz this doesn't have adaptive cruise on it now I will say on the interstate here I mean you got 21in wheels in the back 20s up front you're going to hear the road and it's a convertible but honestly I I don't care that's like the least of my worries right now I'm not even thinking about it except just to address it for this video if that bothers you about a car like this you don't need to have a car like this anyway but it is the road noise is noticeable wind noise not so much but I'm not even doing the speed limit but at 65 here I mean nothing intrusive at all but just knowing it at the drop of a hat you can just give this thing something is give it a pull here oh my gosh yes it's just insane the sound and it's so quick it's it's a beautiful it's a beautiful vehicle inside and out it's just it really is now daily driving this probably won't be the most comfortable thing for you to do but it can be done especially for shorter commutes I mean I wouldn't take this thing to Florida but then again I would you're just you're going to be in a z six you have to realize that and it's going to be hard not to get a ticket in this thing boy I tell you but even in tour mode gosh it's just incredible the power you get here now it doesn't feel anything like the sport mode or the track mode but I mean it'll still go it'll still smoke pretty much anything on the road and it's uh the least strong variant that it has in terms of a drive mode but I mean I'd want to keep it in sport now if you are one of those people that just has money to blow and you're not necessarily concerned about the performance of these you just want one to have one and to take leisurely strolls in the tour mode is pretty good for that because it doesn't get too loud it's not too much again it's still quick but it's not something where you tap your foot and it's just gone and that's what makes the drive mode so great on here because if you are wanting to do that let's say Sunday with your significant other and when you drive it during the week you're taking it to the track or you're just nailing it from a stoplight it is nice to kind of have that deviation [Music] available but I mean this thing is worth every penny in my opinion I mean if I could afford one I I'd get one I mean it's just an incredible machine and I want to give another big shout out to auto Nashville for allowing me to review this car today and if you want one of these make sure you get it from them because I mean there's just good people out there but also you know firsthand what you're getting with this bad boy right here and this will bring me to the end of my review of this 2024 Corvette ZO6
