2023 Peterbilt 579 Ultra-Loft in Omaha Orange!

hey everybody it's keith couch with rocky mountain peter belts rush truck centers here in greeley colorado i got a brand new 2023 model year 579 ultra loft now i'm still learning these things i've learned a lot from them both mark and i have here but we very nice truck beautiful truck to drive very quiet just very nice especially once you get in that driver's seat and with the extra room that you have it's very nice and kind of a 389 guy but the more i drive these and the more i like them a beautiful trucks so with this this one is a sold unit i wish it was available but it is sold uh biharat express out of california emmett we appreciate your business very much um this is your new truck be here monday to pick it up it's got a cummins in it with a 13-speed ultra shift in omaha orange and uh you see the air dam up front here helps keep the air out from underneath everything on this thing is built for aerodynamics obviously the lights are molded into the fender as well as the fog lights still a stainless steel grill this is not plastic that is stainless we did a color match visor color match mirrors did not do a whole lot of chrome on this one but as you can see the sleeper cannot be removed on an ultra loft it's a 80 inch ultra loft we also have the 80 inch removable sleeper we can do that as well this is a 244 inch wheelbase so it's legal in canada running on lowepro 22.5 bridgestones we specked it with uh michelins but the way the peterbot factory works is if michelin cannot supply those tires at the time you get whatever they can get and they try and get them as close as they can but that's kind of what happened here as you can see these black closeouts right here those are to help keep any wind from getting in underneath there every little bit helps the closeouts all the way down and then we've got a piece of rubber back in here that runs the length again keeping the air out there's our plug-in for your block heater these uh a-pillar fairings help direct the wind off the windshield and around the truck and you don't see them when you're in the driver's seat and these are the more aerodynamic mirrors that kind of shave the top off the epic package we did not go all the way back to the tires we left enough room here so we could put a apu in got that on the other side there got a 120 on this side we went ahead and put the s bar heater on this one um because it is very low cost from the factory and if you resell it or apu goes down you still have heat condenser for the epu put took the antenna put it on the back of the sleeper like we normally do that jump posts here so if you're running a reefer you can jump it from there obviously an air ride sleeper as well these are just the poly quarter fenders low pro 22s this one does not have full lockers not needed in this truck a couple of load lights there those are led load lights very nice very bright the peterbilt aluminum hole the aluminum wheels with the peterbilt holes thermal king tripac these have gone up a bit in price they're pushing sixteen thousand dollars now it's like we're seeing everything else go up closeouts on this side as well now this one has a cummins engine in it take a quick look we put a uh five and a quarter cummins in it so totally different front end obviously than the 389 a little more condensed with just a gorgeous truck [Music] in the drive it it does drive very very nice i'm not sure if you can see it say five and a quarter in there this is your lock this keeps the wind from blowing the hood down i'm gonna flip that so you can shut the hood but just a gorgeous truck did the dabco fuel filter there just beautiful now omaha orange is a really nice non-metallic color much more of an automotive style door as you can see with the hinges and everything and it shuts totally totally different than the 389 door 389 doors more of a bulkhead door 18 246 pounds is what this one weighs power windows power mirrors it's got the new digital dash we're fired up we got the smart wheel cruise controls over here and then your source and all your phone hang up radio all that stuff's over here as you can see we have no stick shift here it's right here it's on the right stalk you can see that and so you put your foot on the brake and there's drive tells you that right up here too neutral and reverse and then your jake break is just simply pull it down and you can see it there it's very intuitive when you have the jake break right here it is really easy it takes a little bit of getting used to i'm used to reaching for the dash and that uh dash is totally configurable these gauges you can move these gauges where you want them and select the ones you do want factory cb and this one has navigation we go back to the home screen goes over everything here automatic climate control the best thing to do here is instead of being just totally off turn turn it on to just one notch hit auto and then adjust the temperature to whatever you want spare gauges traction control lots of room between the seats very nice and then if you this is the biggest thing is when you turn and stand up you can just stand completely up i'm 5 10 and no danger of hitting anything up here so that's reaching all the way up now here's here's something i want everybody to know this was a mistake on my part um nice big 80 inch sleeper very wide nothing behind the driver's seat so the seat can slide way back i mean just tons of room but this is a single bunk ultra loft i'll just be honest everybody i didn't know you could order an ultra loft with a single bunk i thought they were all double bunks so that's my fault just be aware of that this seam here in the middle you do not have to step over that is pretty much level so you don't have to step over that control panel over here and see let me see how much room you get here and then there's a curtain here that slides in so you give you some privacy got your s bar bunk heater up here you got your thermo king right here it's a little bit redundant but if this ever goes out you got to work on you still have heat the s bar does not do ac thermal king does both heat and ac with the engine off got some power outlets here little cubby place for some drinks the light those are led lights up there very bright um so that's your control panel get a window here and then you also got a mount for a tv on the other side flat screen tv a little more storage up there and obviously with the second bunk you would have more storage um again like i said just be aware you can order these as a single bunk i'll just be honest with you i feel stupid but i did not know that more storage there but if you had to go out on the road this is a fantastic choice they're so quiet um this is a five and a quarter cummins 1850 torque with a 13 speed ultra shift um excellent view the seats go up and down you get out the seat drops you get back in the seat goes back towards set previously set so
