[Music] hey shane here with rvs of america or roa i'm super excited to bring to you today a brand new tour of the all new explore rv this is a super awesome trailer if you've seen the tour already for the xr22 you'll already know this is the x-22 it's a completely different floor plan there's upgrades there's improvements so when we signed up with this manufacturer originally we went out they have a toy hauler version and that's one of the reasons we started carrying them is because we wanted to offer a toy hauler to the marketplace which we didn't have previously but when we went out and we said you know we love your trailer it's amazing like there's so many incredible unique things about it like the insulation it's the most capable trailer out on the market for cold camping and we said but we want a trailer for a couple you know we want one with a queen bed a booth dinette lithium and this manufacturer they're so cool they listened and now we have the x22 and this is the very first one in all of america right behind me so you're getting the very very first preview and tour of this trailer here brought to you by roa so let's get into this tour one of the unique things about rvs of america or roa is we are super passionate about camping in the outdoors and a lot of dealers out in the marketplace get trailers and sell them it's a transactional thing for us it's all about an experience we are always out on the pursuit for perfection our story started out with cheap trailers and we evolved all the way up to these million dollar motor homes motor coaches beautiful luxurious but truly our nature the crew the guys at our shop we love the off-road we love the outdoors and so we moved back away from those giant motorhomes down to some smaller camper trailers but we didn't just want to carry anything we wanted to carry what would be considered some of the best products not just in america but in the world and so we started working with some originally australian design company and then we've evolved to getting taxa you know we had the black series we signed up with them we brought on taxa because they were a little bit lighter trailers the reason why we found explore and loved explore was the toy hauler aspect was great but the biggest thing is the capability of cold weather camping this trailer is designed for 40 degrees below zero which is mind-blowing right i haven't been in 40 degrees yet i've been in negative five and i can attest that it is comfortable like the furnace turns on and turns off at negative five degrees it will run and shut off my personal trailer that i have that's a black series it like the furnace would be just running continuously it doesn't turn off right at those types of temps really the taxa the black series we love those trailers but when it comes to cold weather camping it's definitely not their thing the explorer on the other hand is amazing those other trailers that we carry 32 degrees is your limit you can't go below 32 degrees freezing temperatures i mean you could use it as a box warm but you can't put water in it you can't use the bathroom in it the explorer on the other hand 40 degrees below zero and still have the capability to use water shower toilet everything in it still it's amazing when it comes to the installation but i'm going to give you a full tour of the x-22 and typically most videos and tours usually start on the outside and go all the way around and then they go inside i want to change it up a little bit because a lot of our youtube subscribers they've actually mentioned hey why don't you start on the inside first and then go you're you know that's what everybody does in our views of america we listen to our comments so if you do have a comment make a comment below right now if you want to see something that i don't talk about if there's a feature in it that i don't give enough detail on make that comment below and we'll give more detail on it if you want to see us do a certain video on you know i don't know a tip test or a roll test i don't know whatever you want make a comment below and we'll respond and we'll try to make a video for you specifically because we do listen to our our subscribers and the people that are watching our videos and you have asked start the tour on the inside so we're gonna go inside and that's where most of the updates are on the x-22 so come on in here we go inside one of the unique things about the explorer is the stair set you can pull this out it's not hanging off the bottom of the trailer where it can get knocked off one of the really cool things is the suspension and we've showcased this in our other videos but you have a little remote here and it actually will lift the trailer so you have more clearance but also if you pull these stairs out they do adjust on the stair but you can also adjust it by using the trailer and that's a little bit quicker and easier so i can get it to exactly where i want it and then i can step inside nice and easy so come on inside here we are inside in the new x-22 explorer well i love what they've done with this as you can see right away they've gone with a solid surface corian countertops they've gone with the stainless steel under mounted sink very large you know and deep they still kept with this beautiful furion stove these are really cool because if you accidentally leave it on it turns this gives you a warning on that light you have some nice lighting through here you have a striker you also have a light down into the oven very good quality appliances you have the greystone hood and fan and then over here some of the new updates and features they've added this booth area and this is a corian countertop solid surface on the top of this and this this is actually pretty comfortable so just as a comparison i'm about 250-ish pounds and dropping trying to eat better in my life so but i'm six feet and i feel very comfortable right here my wife and i and my daughter ate dinner here the other night at the house we we've had this trailer parked out in front of the house for the last almost a month i mean we've actually been out camping in it we've taken it down into moab off-roading and we were off-grid for uh almost four or five days the new battery bank solar system is amazing which i will show you in one second but first this table we all ate here very comfortable my daughter sat right here my wife sat right here you could squeeze in maybe for adults but it's definitely a little less comfortable when you get at this point like i said i'm not small not a skinny person i'm got a lots of muscle pure muscle 100 muscle but uh six feet also so yeah you know this is this is great like you can easily throw down two kids right here and have two adults across from here so nice space i actually have been like i said i've had it outside in front of in my house and i've had my computer out here on those days where i just want to go out and i have my own little private office outside and then this table is really really cool these cushions are actually really nice um very very comfortable and pretty plush and then this table is a it's like a telescoping this right here goes and then you push it's gas assisted so it pops back up but you do both of these and you go down push it compress it down and get it to right there and then you can lock it in place and then you take the cushion one of these cushions on the back here and it plops on right here my little daughter slept on this very comfortably as a matter of fact i actually slept on this one night myself not very comfortable you could remove this and you get about let me show you this really quick from here to here is 69 and a half inches so just under six feet so about five foot ten you would be comfortable on this like i said i'm six feet so i kind of slept at an angle and definitely was not the most comfortable but depending on how you sleep if you sleep in the fetal position if you kind of sleep on your side and long ways but it was actually pretty comfortable it gives it has some nice cushion to it so coming over to here we have the queen bed this is not exact dimensions of a regular standard queen it measures from this side to this side 53 inches and from end to end we are 78 inches so this mattress that they bring on the trailer is very nice it's very comfortable it has a nice give to it i slept very very very nicely on it my wife loves it she likes a little bit more firm i might put a topper on it myself personally okay and since they've added this queen bed in the back what's really nice is underneath it there's actually a lot of storage or i actually use it as a guest house where i can put you know some extra friends and bring along so and you can see they've done a lot of updates right here they've also added this it's a 30 amp mppt solar charge controller so that's great and everything is by go power which is really nice because you can everything communicates really nicely with it i'll show you over at the door you have a monitoring system and it also goes through go power so everything really communicates nicely you know some places i've noticed where they use different branded stuff and that tends to be a little bit they don't always communicate well so it's nice to have them using consistency now with the the two lithium batteries this is now stock in every explorer you can also add more lithium batteries along here so we could do that at rvs of america at roa we upgrade and do modifications to all of our campers and we can pretty much if you can dream it we can do it nice thing is look at the electrical the wiring in here they've done a really really good job here you can see that they they add everything in here they actually run through bus bars which is really nice i've seen a lot of manufacturers where they don't actually use bus bars to connect everything in but they've done the the manufacturer you can tell when you look down here they take pride in what they do you know they put everything on nice bus bars they they zip tie it up nice and tight and you can see everything is going to where it needs to go very clean you can look at this wiring all the way down there that's running they just do a really really good job sometimes i get into these trailers and it looks like a rat's nest like you're just blown away in how how it just looks like they didn't give any thought they're just throwing wires together i mean everything is like just put in its place and zip tied and and you know the extra excess wire they wind it up nicely this is stock this is standard every trailer is coming with lithium now and the mppt do you mind i'm working here can we can i get back to this okay okay yeah we'll leave you in peace there's lights down there too so it doesn't need to be there in the dark and there's emergency exits too okay so as i showed you just a second ago the new battery bank down under the bed and that mppt solar charge controller the monitoring system is actually over here so this little guy right here is your gopower mppt solar charge controller monitoring system what i love about this trailer what's really really neat is that they've made it very very simple for the very first time camper owner you know if you've never owned a trailer you've never owned a camper you want to get out and you want to just experience the outdoors this trailer is very very simple but it also has some of those you know technical stuff for those i don't know what you want to call them nerds or technical people that want to get more into that the details right so the solar charge controller the mppti has a lot of cool things that you can monitor and you can go through i'm not going to explain all this but this you know it has your current voltage that's coming in you can go through this thing it tells you what your current amps are that are coming in in your current wattage from your solar panel on the roof on top of the roof the solar we have 200 watts of solar up on the roof right now and those are walkable flat panels and this this just goes through and tells you all of the things it tells you you know how much solar you've gained in the last 24 hours and just today and the total watt hours and all of these things so there are lots of things you can go through and you can change the settings up here though in this gopower battery monitoring system you know most trailers they give you these little dots that don't tell you really anything the other some of the other trailers that we have they give you a little digital readout of voltage all right what your voltage is but your voltage it's very confusing for a lot of people if you've never owned a trailer you're like wait was fully charged 12.7 12.8 or 13 for 13 depending on the batteries depending on the manufacturer it just gets really complicated what explore has done for the very first time trailer owner is they put this monitoring system in here and it's super easy 100 that's it right it tells you right here 31 hours and 53 minutes until empty so that's currently on the usage right so if i turn off the outside lights this is going to drop down and it's going to actually increase to a higher so it's going to say now you have you know it's it's slowly recalculating and it's trying to give you the amount that you have now where it's not 44 45 hours until empty so it's really cool i mean it's going to keep on adjusting it will take a second but right here it tells you what your voltage is for those people that want to know those details but for those people that like you know and it tells you what your current amps or your current wants that you're using like current right now but for those people that don't really want to deal with all those complicated things you can look at i got 49 hours at the current usage that i'm using right now with all these lights on with the furnace running or the fridge running i have 50 hours until i'm drained right and i'm at a hundred percent now of course the solar is bringing it in so this might stay high it doesn't mean that you only have 50 hours because you know this would be 50 hours if you were in a solar eclipse and you had no power the solar is going to be constantly trying to keep this number up right so as you're going to go down this number but this is really simple it's it's it's not complex it's not rocket science and our experience at roa is for those first-time trailer owners some of the trailers it's very complex you know we get these people coming in and they're just getting over their head with things you just want to go out and experience nature and go camping you don't want to become an rv technician or a certified electrician to try to figure these things out so i really really love that explorer has put some thought into making this system very simple and easy to use no no no complexities so moving down below the solar you have your controls down here very simple everything is labeled these are good quality switches too and you have your parameter lights your ceiling lights turn on all your lights inside the trailer you these are outside cargo lights we'll show you and you have your compressor it has an on-board compressor which i'll showcase later for you you have some rock lights down by your tires your wheel well and you have your awning light and then your awning control right here so very simple very easy to use you also have a battery disconnect that's when you want to store your trailer and not use not let your batteries drain now coming around the wall over here we have this firion when we were down in moab i didn't even realize that the other person had this that was in the xr22 we were spending the night in the x-22 and we they also started playing music out during lunch and i was like wow that's cool you have a bluetooth speaker and then i looked at it i'm like wait that's the that's the speaker that comes with the trailer so really cool you can grab it take it outside throw it on the table it's bluetooth it's also a flashlight which is cool and then it just goes right there and it ports and docks there and it holds on really nicely we've taken it on some pretty rough roads and it has not fallen off yet coming over here just underneath the sink area you have some gauges this is your fresh water gauge and your gray tank the fresh water tank is only 30 gallons so one of the weak points about the explorer is the 30 gallon water tank the cool thing is here at roa we do upgrades we do modifications if you can dream it we can do it and we are adding a 30 gallon fresh water tank on the explorer so you'll have a total combined of 60 gallons which is very very necessary if you want to go off-grid and stay for an extended amount of time we're always looking for ways to innovate we've talked with the manufacturer about it they're probably going to do it eventually but until then we're going to do it for our roamers so coming back down here we also have the controls this is for the water heater now the water heater is it's an on-demand it's called the nautilus on-demand hot water heater so it does not have a tank it actually engages when you turn on the hot water it will engage by the pressure and you'll get instant hot water what's really cool about this nautilus water heater is it's not theoretical to us we don't just read it and pretend to know what we're talking about we actually use the components that are in these trailers and this nautilus we've used it to fill up an entire hot tub of with hot water right so if you go and click on the link or down below we have a youtube video where we put 2000 pounds on this roof to to test the load of the roof we also wanted to test to see if the water pump and the nautilus hot water heater could fill up an entire hot tub and it did which is really cool so we we really this is a pretty awesome water heater it works and it's continuous you can go into a campground and you can shower with hot water for an hour straight if you wanted to okay so down here we have the tank heater now this is not your water heater like this this is actually a heating pad it's a 12 volt heating pad that is placed underneath the drinking and the gray tank and this is going to be for those very extreme you know below freezing below zero degrees you know negative 40 degrees when you're going to turn this on i at negative 5 degrees never turn this on and i never had the tanks freeze one of the reasons why that is probably the case is because the tanks do have heat that's ducted to them so down here in the trailer you actually have a furnace it's a 13500 btu dometic furnace and you have a duct right here and if you come along here you have a duct right here you also opening into the bathroom you have a duct in the bathroom now what you can't see that's three ducks into the trailer there is also two additional ducks actually you can kind of see it there's a two additional ducks this duct is going back and down underneath the floor and that's going to the gray tank and there's another duck that's going off this way and it goes down and under the floor to the fresh water tank so it's ducted down underneath the floor to those tanks to prevent them from freezing and like i said this this actually works and the tanks never froze at negative 5 degrees have not been to negative 40 degrees if i were i'd probably turn on those tank heaters to prevent it from freezing so since we're talking about the furnace let's come over here and i'll show you kind of what we have in the ways of the controls of the furnace some of the trailers that we've had in the past the controls you have separate controls for your furnace and your ac you know your ac unit has all the controls on it and then you have a separate one for the furnace this is all built in to the system the ac and the furnace all come through this one guy so if you if you just turn it on it's all digital and you can turn to fan you can turn to ac you can turn to furnace and then you set your temperature and it works just like a house it's a residential system and works there's the furnace just kicked on and it will get nice and toasty in here this like i cannot rave enough about this trailer and its installation like i have another trailer right now that i currently own and oh it's one of the trailers that we carry and i love i love the trailer i absolutely love the trailer but when it comes to insulation and like going and camping in the cold it just doesn't compare to this trailer this trailer like the furnace it will turn on and it will run for the next five or ten minutes and then it will turn off and it might not turn on for 10 20 30 minutes because it heats up and it holds the heat so so well as a matter of fact the r values on the roof the floor the walls are super incredible the walls are almost three inches thick and the roof is six and a half inches thick fully walkable and the r value is r24 the floors are about three inches thick and it's a high density polywoven on each side high density foam board this it's super super thick i i've seen it we've cut it we've actually cut into it and it is super super thick and it's r11 which is unbelievable it this the manufacturer has this stuff designed just for their trailer we've actually run over it with the truck it's pretty tough very unique type of insulation that they're using very expensive so talking more about the insulation i wanted to mention these walls and some of the unique things that explore does i've never heard of anybody else in the marketplace doing some of the things that they do so first of all most trailers if they can actually use wood frame if they don't use root wood frame they might use aluminum they use aluminum but instead of a rectangular hollow stud they actually use h and c beams and what's really cool about that is whenever you're talking about cold it's all about thermal uh breakage right or thermal conductivity if you take a piece of metal and set it out in the middle of the winter and you go out and touch it it's it's cold it's like you get frostbite by touching it right if you throw it out in the summer you can get burnt by touching that piece of metal so whenever you're talking about trailers and aluminum whenever it can conduct easily right from the exterior to the interior it's a thermal break essentially where it's going to intrude right through the aluminum studs and right into the trailer so what you want to do is you want to try to eliminate you want to block you want to have a blockage a way to block that thermal intrusion when you have a rectangular hollow stud the cold will hit that stud and it will just conduct through that hollow space and come right into the trailer so the reason why they use an h is so that they can slide in a high density foam board into those h and c channels and that's going to eliminate that cold cut conducting through and coming right into your trailer on top of that which is unique if you know any manufacturer that's doing this i'm not aware of any manufacturer and i've done tried to research all of the top manufacturers that claim the best insulation properties and none of them do this so if you know somebody make a comment below and correct me but what they do is they put what they call a vapor barrier and instead of having a stud right here like most trailers are going to have a fiberglass or a lamination then they'll have the stud right up against it and then right here you would have paneling and if you were to peel part this paneling you would have you would see a stud and then you would have those foam insulation boards in between those rectangular hollow studs but what explore has done is they've inserted that into their h channel and then instead of putting paneling right up against your studs they put an entire barrier it's a half inch foam board that goes across the entire length of the trailer so you actually have a block so that when that cold comes in and tries to conduct all the way to the trailer it can't this also eliminates condensation this is a huge problem that people have you know full-time boondock where they're going to get in in a trailer they're going to the condensates and we've seen this like from some of the most reputable companies in the country where you know they're all aluminum and you'll get this you know conducting where the water just comes right through you got to get a rag and wipe it up it's just because of all that moisture another nice thing about the trailer is these windows these are really awesome windows they are polycarbonate dual pane so you definitely have a better insulation properties with the dual pane they're also a lot stronger than glass some people ask wait are those plastic and it's like ah they're polycarbonate which is much much stronger than glass it has a much higher resistance break resistance than glass you can actually have three settings they click i'll show you how it works you go right there you can go right there so it has it actually has three different ones they also can crack where you have just a little bit of air and then you also have these screens that come up which is really nice in the summer time so you don't get the mosquitoes in here this is a very small net too so you can actually we've had some trailers in the past where the mosquitoes could fly through the nets these ones they they absolutely can't get through because they're very it's a very fine fine net and then if you are you don't you want to block out some of the sun you can bring this down a little bit and get some shade or you can go all the way down and go to sleep they also have a reflective material as i pull it down you can see on the back side so it's actually good for r value right so you can shut the window have that dual pane and then you have that back side of this when you pull it all the way down it's reflective so kind of gets the sun off the trailer as i'm hanging out here on the bed i just want to mention something because we were camping in this and we were hanging out with a group of people i love how they've put this wall back here you know they could have put lower cabinets it's pretty nice that they didn't because this turns into essentially a nice lounge an area where you can hang out like a big big couch and you can put comfortably three adults here the booth area you can put comfortably to adults kids so we had approximately what six people hanging out in here chilling you can kind of lounge around the wall you can watch a movie if you want if it's a rainy day and you guys want to just hang out inside the trailer it doesn't feel like it's super super small and confined you have a nice area to kind of hang out lounge and relax another thing that i want to talk about this trailer right now is the storage this storage is awesome as you saw underneath comes with a guest room now under the bed or you could use storage or whatever you want down there but lots of storage the cupboards all around here around there you have a coat closet the refrigerator is huge the 10 cubic feet very deep and the reason is because it's not propane it's 12 volt which is nice those propane fridges are you know they're a little finicky you know they they have to be level they take a long time to cool you got to buy propane this is going to work off off-grid it's solar your fridge essentially works indefinitely especially with the lithium upgrade previously they didn't have those lithium batteries and that fridge would uh drain the batteries really quick now with the lithium batteries we haven't had an issue at all wow we've been camping off grid with the fridge running we haven't even worried about power at all on all of our trips but i want to show you these compartments because there is a little update to their latches which is pretty nice coming up here these latches actually are locking which i always think it's funny me and our guys that we call them coaches our sales guys our coaches because we're more about teaching and educating people than selling me and our coaches we went to another one of these big box dealers the other days because i just wanted to show them like come let's go look at some american-made trailers so you can get an idea of what they build and we went into this place and we're like show us your off-road trailers right and he's like oh so you're looking for big tires and lifted and we're like sure whatever you know and then we went in there and the cabinets are just oh like they got these 98 cent latches and i'm like the second you go off-road those doors are just gonna fly open these doors they don't fly open they're locking in place you have to press this and then it actually turns and then it opens oh hey see there's so much storage even you fit in the cabinets and these cabinets are really cool they have these really nice quality hinges as you can see and you have the gas assisted struts so the cabinets stay up and they're not falling down when you're trying to put stuff in them so really nice and beautiful now staying on the theme of storage this fridge is amazing when we were down in baja in mexico this freezer is giant right we were able to put costco pies it's super deep the fridge you don't even ever fill it up you just have so much space in there check out this fridge and hey what's up guys what are you doing in there i'm on my lunch break oh okay uh did you want to just want me to leave you alone yeah i'm good okay sounds good will okay enjoy it uh as you can see this it's oh hey shane yeah did you want anything uh actually i'm thirsty yeah could you could you give me a water some water okay thank you uh take care no no problem enjoy lunch uh anyway as you can see you can put water drinks and a full-size cumin inside your fridge it's it's really big it's spacious actually anyway let's move on into the bathroom and show you the bathroom after showcasing that awesome fridge and how much space it has unfortunately my biggest complaint about this trailer is the bathroom now i have like when i first saw it and hadn't used it yet i was kind of thinking oh it's really teeny the space is not good which is kind of true but it's it is functional it works you know there's some nice little storage space up here we have our toilet paper the biggest thing that i was concerned about is the toilet this toilet is actually awesome but if you come down in here and you think oh this is kind of tight right and it is it's tight on your left hand side your right hand side because the shower the way it's curved into this corner you actually have space for doing your uh your wiping type of stuff you know what i'm saying and i have used this bathroom quite a few times it is a little tight we've asked them to add a few inches because it's not like crazy like just like two or three inches would be awesome but i once again i am six foot 250 pounds i actually find myself it's more comfortable if i leave this shower door open so you know you open the doors and it definitely gives you that a little bit more space feeling and there is there is enough space to do your stuff i mean you're out camping you got a toilet it's awesome it's nice you don't want to live in the toilet or on the toilet or in the bathroom i should say but overall it's the one thing that i would love to see a little bit more space in here toilet area is good the shower is actually very nice there's a lot of space in the shower um if you're over six feet tall you'll fit fine in this area um if you're showering you know you got your soap you got a little stand there you could shave right and you know imagine this is closed i have space in here there's lots of space i can bend over people say they like to see if i were to drop a bar of soap i could pick it up the shower is actually pretty nice it has a nice space the toilet with that elbow space is good the sink area this is the area that i like the least in here um you do have that corner in there but you got to kind of squeeze into the corner to like brush your teeth and stuff you do have a good amount of storage once again you got that you can have a nice mirror there's a window here just lets in the light you can have a screen down here you have more storage lots and lots of storage everywhere everywhere in this trailer it does work on a switch and opposed to you know clicking on it like so many trailers you'll see right here this is cool if you're not familiar with this this is the max air vent they use the highest end model because we upgrade these and some of our other trailers in the black series because they put in a really cheesy dinky little fan so we'll upgrade to the max air vent fan and they use the highest end model instead of putting cheap stuff they start out with a really nice thing and this thing is really cool so it gives you the capability to either pull air into the trailer or suck air out of the trailer you can open or crack a window and create in like a draft and airflow and above this door they actually leave this space a little bit open up here as you can see and they do that so that you can have you know that air flow you know sucking some air through the trailer and you know for uh if it gets moist neither moisture condensation if it's rainy outside but overall i mean it's a phenomenal trailer really more than just the trailer itself is the manufacturer that you work with you know the little things that we don't like like the water tank size we can upgrade that that's easy everything else is very nice it's very functional the trailer is really well built the exterior i'm gonna go outside and show you more of the exterior and talk more about that but the material that they use in the trailer the fiberglass the insulation top of the line materials that you can use in any type of camper or trailer they really are proud of what they're building and you can tell that shows through their workmanship i've taken out the furnaces and just been playing around pulling things out you know you see the electrical very well done the plumbing is routed very well they have a easy winterization valves which those are just things that you would expect to have on some trailers lots of trailers you don't have them we install them as upgrades on some of our other trailers you know those little details they add into it which is which is really it just they're thoughtful they care about the end user and it's because they're users now before we leave the bathroom i want to talk a little bit about this toilet you're going to want to go and check out our video about how many rubber duckies we can fit in this toilet because we threw a bunch of stuff in this toilet just to see how it would work this is a really cool toilet it's called a lavio by dry flush and at first i was a little uncertain about how it works if you've ever used a diaper genie it's similar to that you do your stuff right your duties whatever you want in there and then you press this black button on the toilet and it's actually it's a bag that's like sucks and twists and pulls the stuff down and it just can keep on twisting so it's about 15 to 17 flushes i believe is what the what the bag says it does the bags are around 30 bucks a lot of people complain about that and they're like well those are really expensive it does seem expensive but when you're out camping for the weekend one bag for the whole time is more than sufficient now the neat thing about these is you don't have to use special toilet paper right rv toilet paper is more expensive than regular toilet paper so you've got to take that into consideration i don't have to go and hunt down special rv toilet paper i can use scott's double triple quadruple you know padded toilet paper because it doesn't matter this is not a black tank the other really cool thing about it is the maintenance of a black tank right you have to put solutions and deodorizers and things to break it up so you got to take into consideration that there's also a cost in constantly pouring that solution down into your tank so you eliminate the solution you eliminate the special rv toilet paper you can put anything on that toilet in that toilet for you ladies out there if it's the time of the month you can throw your pads in there you can you can throw you know baby wipes in there if you like to be extra clean like it's very very nice check out that video we threw rubber duckies in that and it sucks it down pulls it in the other nice thing that you got to take into consideration is you never have to go dump again it's really really easy it's a bag you pull it out wrap a rubber band around it throw it in the trash and you don't smell it i haven't smelt it if i use it for five days and then i forgot to pull the bag out and empty it and went back in like two weeks later and i smelled a little bit not bad but a little bit so if you leave a sitting in there for weeks you might have some of the smells come through but while i've been camping i've never smelt it after it flushes and gets sucked into there you got to take into the account that when you get done camping you have to go and like buy my house our dump station after the weekend there's a line of vehicles and sometimes i sit in and wait for an hour to get to the dump station the place that's by my house they charge five bucks to dump it it's a hassle it's a hassle of having to go in there you have to empty it if you don't empty it the whole tanks will just get so disgusting and smell really really cool it's simple it's a little motor i mean if it fails it would be really easy to fix or repair i i'm really i've become a huge fan of this toilet we do other toilets like the incinerator the regular toilets cassette toilets i'm more of a fan of this toilet than any other toilet currently at the moment so anyway before we go outside i want to point out two last things number one in this little storage compartment they give you this air compressor and i will show you outside where that hooks up and i showed you earlier the pump where you turn it on we use this to inflate the hot tub in that hot tub video and the hot water heater to fill it up with hot water if you've never owned a trailer and i would like to say welcome to the rv world most trailer manufacturers do not give you manuals the only manuals they give you are like the fridge manuals the stove manuals which the rv manufacturer's not giving you those the fridge manufacturer is actually giving those manuals to you and that's pretty typical for almost every manufacturer in the industry unless you move into like really high-end coaches you know we've sold like monaco's and newmars 500 to a million dollars they give you manuals but if you're just going out and buying a trailer typical trailers you're not going to get manuals something that imperial does is they actually give you manuals not just manuals for the appliances but they have manuals from them imperial and i have actually gone through and read these manuals in their entirety and it's really cool they give you how-to stuff like how to maintain your trailer when to maintain your trailer what type of things to do as far as operations and functionality of your trailer and that's really really cool super frustrating to see people buying a brand new trailer and then having no user manual no how-to guides now here at roa that's one of the things that we pride ourselves in doing very thorough walkthroughs walking people through and teaching them and engaging with them in a way that they know what they're doing i've heard this so many times where they're like i went and bought a trailer i'm like here's your keys do you have any questions and it's like i've never owned a trailer yeah i have i have a million questions that's something that we try to make sure that we're helping you understand how to operate your trailer because most problems that arise in trailer ownership is user air and user negligence you know if you're not properly maintaining it and neglecting it you'll have things that will break and that will be a pain point but the other one is user air but if you're not taught if you're not educated and how it works and you don't have anybody to teach you then you're going to do things wrong and that's where roa that's where we truly truly feel like the most important part of the purchase is after the purchase not not before it's it's that process of you picking it up and after we have a exclusive text line where you can text in and and say hey how does this work or how do you do this um how did you get the shelves out of the fridge so that you could put a person in there oh it's really easy we'll show you how to do it or we can teach you because we've done it before right you know just like we do things we use the trailer so that we can be better able to serve you and teach you how to do it so and explore we're imperial outdoors they're on the same page with us in believing that the end user we don't call them customers we call them roamers we believe our roamers are the most important thing and you're not a roamer until you buy a trailer most people it's like they want to acquire customers and transactions to us we want to acquire roamers and we want to be engaged with you for the entire life of your trailer let's head on outside now so here we are outside in the woods it stops snowing so i'm happy we did the tour inside first that was a smart idea and the fire's gone out but it's okay it's not snowing and the weather's gotten a little bit better we're around 30 or so degrees right now the outside of this explorer is very beautiful i love it the gel coat fiberglass it's an 80 mil thick fiberglass which is about twice as thick as the standard fiberglass that you're going to get on a trailer with actual fiberglass a lot of trailers don't even do fiberglass anymore they it's like a fake fiberglass a lamination and which is really really cheap and they are just they delaminate and they fall apart this is a very high quality fiberglass it's a crane noble hung fiberglass you're going to see this in typical half a million dollar plus motor coaches you know people always talk about fiberglasses versus aluminum versus all these different materials i've experienced a lot of aluminum i currently own a trailer that's all aluminum you know i love the idea of an aluminum trailer you know iconic trailers like airstream aluminum right aluminum is a great product it's light it does condensate it conducts also heat and cold conducts through it because it's metal and metal conducts the nice thing about fiberglass is it's not going to conduct as much there's a reason why when you get into the yachting world the boats right where you get into you know million dollar to 100 million yachts they use fiberglass there's nothing wrong with fiberglass as long as it's a good quality fiberglass right here we have an electric awning it's almost the entire length of the trailer we just have this big area to be under you also have these lights the awning light by the top this electric awning has a nice little pitch setting where you can adjust it down and it creates for a angle you can do the other side too but if it's raining you can have it flow to one side or the other side there's also some rock lights there are more so for just cool effects ground effects now coming into the the wheel well area and this fender this is still powder coated really heavy duty go look at some trailers go to a big box rv dealer store near you and most of these are plastic you have a blowout and this thing is just destroyed this is super robust and metal all the way around this down here the whole entire bottom of the trailer is all powder coated steel this is cool up here we were off-roading and we dragged the trailer at one point it actually ripped up the rock that we were driving on and didn't do anything to that which is really really cool very robust these tires are a mud terrain tire it's a 33 inch tire and it sits on a 15 inch rim so if you're in the off-roading world that's great you want a small rim you want lots of tread and the cool thing about these tires is they're a really heavy duty tire you have four tires on the trailer a lot of tire for a such a short trailer they're a load range c but they're rated at about 2 600 pounds per tire so when you put them to their max psi all four tires you got over 10 000 pounds of load rating capacity for these tires which is way way way more than you could ever unless you got gold bars and you want to load it up with your gold bars then yeah you might be able to get that max weight rating but the the other cool thing about it because the tires are so much more robust than the actual weight of the trailer you can actually air down these tires and give it more of a comfortable off-road ride and that's going to help with the interior of things not bashing around and falling all over the place it definitely is good to air down your tires when you're off-roading coming over here this is something that you didn't have in the previous model of the explorer is the outside storage and i love these latches these are metal and then these this is metal too i've seen these on even quarter million dollar coaches where they're plastic and you slam them and they break i kid you not many many times we've had these motor homes in the past and people you know somebody comes in looking at it and they slam it and these things just break off because they're plastic you have a lot of storage as you saw earlier you also have lights down here so you can see if you're out in the dark coming around here you have your dual spare tires you have a rear hitch on the back where you can mount bicycles these actually come out and swing all the way out so you can access whatever you need back here you all have these flood lights or cargo whatever the these are great on the toy hauler because you load stuff in but this is also great for backing up or setting up camp up here you have the pre-wired furion camera setup really cool we upgrade cameras and other trailers and most trailers don't have wiring back there so we either have to completely wire it and run it all the way to the back here it's already pre-wired which is very thoughtful of the manufacturer to do this is comes with the high lift extreme model more information on this this is not the cheapest one you can buy so they've put in that's one of the things that i really like about them is you know a lot of times when you get into trailers they put the cheapest stuff in stock they've actually whenever you option any of these things they put good parts in them it's not like the the max air vent it's the nice one not the cheap ones so they're always going above and beyond come down here you got access to the other side and another light and these walls are so thick i love these walls coming around over to here you have a 30 amp plug it comes with that cord too and it's just a twist and lock come over here you have your gravity tank fill 30 gallons this one has been modified by us to have 60 gallons of water and i'll show you where that fill is there's your city this is if you're at a campground if you're parked at somewhere where you have a spigot you can plug in there and you can have pressurized water and run continuous down here you have your gray really really nice they've brought this above the frame so if you were off-roading and you there's no way to bash this you'd be hitting the frame before that this is the exhaust for the nautilus you have a spot for a sewer storage hose right there and it's funny like one of our trailers there's no place to store your sewer hose so we always install it we call it the poop cannon right we always install an x-ray we could install one if you wanted an extra one but you shouldn't need it because all you have is a gray you don't have your black and that's your exhaust for your furnace you have the outside shower one of the things that i just want to point out on this side of the trailer it's really important to notice if you go and look at most trailers you're going to have a huge water heater door you're going to have a fridge vents the reason why they went with the 12-volt fridge in this trailer is because it's all about that insulation properties right and anytime you drill holes through the out exterior you're going to have places where you can have cold air entering into the tray what they've done is they've used the 12-volt fridge 12-volt fridges are bigger you don't deal with a flame you don't deal with propane but you also don't have to deal with exterior vents for them to be vented the walls out here are very very little amount of areas where cold can intrude into the inside and it's not just cold it's even in the summer when it's hot outside the insulation is going to keep the inside of your trailer cooler your ac is not going to work as hard the 13500 btu acn furnace they're more than efficient for this trailer because the insulation is so so good they don't have to run at full capacity to cool it or heat it off it's really nice that they've done that this is the vent to get to your stove and it opens and shuts so when you're not using it you can you can close it up over here they have the roto packs which are for the extra fuel you could also put water if you wanted to here it comes stock with the two 20 pounder propane tanks with the automatic transfer switch on those okay so coming down over to here you have the lock and roll hitch this hitch has been around for a little while i really like this hitch though it feels very sturdy we have some other hitches that we've gotten from australia that we use that we could add or modify if you wanted but this one works pretty well it's so it swivels at this point side to side and then swivels at this point in this direction and then at this point up and down so it essentially is swiveling in every direction that you could ever need you can adjust it for the different heights of your tow vehicle you have your breakaway cable and your chains that come with the trailer now over here you have a nice little cargo area where you could put stuff here or you could pull this open on the previous trailer they used an agm battery the previous model and so you the batteries were in here but now that they've used lithium they've put them inside under the bed to be in a warmer climate and this opens up for more storage so the trailer has a remarkable amount of storage inside and out and this is even lockable there's a spot where you could actually lock it in over here or you could just use a pin this guy right here and then right here you have a nice rock guard it's a big rubber one that will deflect the rocks and your ladder to the top of the roof on top of the roof we have a this is optional you don't have to add it but you they have different options where you can get a cargo rack a rooftop tent so for those people if you want to if you're an older couple and you want to bring your grandkids they can go on the roof if you're a younger family and you need more beds you got a rooftop tent where you could that rooftop tent is pretty big easily sleep two kids two adults for sure you could sleep two to three kids on the roof this booth also you can put a kid so you could option this in a way that you could sleep five or six people over here i want to show you this is the upgrade that we've added this is the auxiliary water tank the additional 30 gallons and if you want to add that extra 30 gallons to bump you up to 60 gallons then that's an option here on roa and you have an outlet out here now this works off of shore power or 120 you have to be plugged in or have a generator to get this outlet to work and that's the same that's the case for all the inside outlets now there is an option where you can get an inverter and that will allow it so you can be able to run all your outlets off of your batteries so when you're off grid you can plug in anything the tv in here is a 12 volt tv so that will work off grid but if you wanted to get like a coffee pod or a blender or a blow dryer which that's a lot of power to use but you know if a laptop right if you want to be able to plug in your laptop to an outlet that's an option that you can do or charge things with a regular outlet we could option an inverter in it for you and we could add a bigger battery bank which would make it very capable to do that one last thing is underneath this trailer there is nothing that can get knocked off right like if you're driving and there's rocks the clearance is just straight through there's nothing down there there's no axles there they actually it's a hydraulic system and they go through the frame above the frame i mean through the middle of it so you don't have anything that's hanging underneath that can get knocked off you don't have the sewer lines no water lines no axles to get knocked off so it really is good if you're going off into the boonies and off-roading it's gonna get you to places that most trailers wouldn't and it's really well built so we hope you've enjoyed the tour we hope you've learned something we're all about education here at roa where we don't we try not to sell but to educate and help people make good decisions right this trailer might not be for everybody so we try to showcase it and educate you as much as possible so you can make a
