2021 Grand Design Momentum 397TH Tour

hello welcome back i'm scott and i'm allison and we are jarhead and jinger's journey today we're going to tour the inside of our brand new 2021 grand design momentum 397 th come on [Music] y'all come on inside y'all i just love my new kitchen it comes with this huge island that's part of the reason that we chose this model um i like that it has these uh solid surface countertops throughout the kitchen and as a part of that it has these removable sink covers you can keep them on for hiding your dirty dishes and you can use them for prep space or you can remove them set them out of the way and then you can see that it's a double stainless steel sink black stainless steel faucet with this nifty little sprayer it sprays in regular mode and sprayer mode and up below the sink we have these drawers there are three drawers nice depth the kitchen cabinets nice spot for your trash can two shelves and you can see here that you have usb cords two of them and a double outlet household outlet then over to this side you have this enormous bar you can put your appliances up here you can put you know your coffee maker um decorative items we will show it decorated in another video we are just moving in so it's pretty empty but you can see here how big these cabinets are they go all the way back to here so it's like that deep and in this cabinet this is the stereo system the fosgate stereo system it has surround sound and speakers inside and out yeah it's a three zone system we have speakers in the main main cabin area we have speakers in the garage area and also outside it will hook to the tv and do surround sound to the actual tv inside the house then moving in this direction we chose to have a electric and gas powered propane um freeze refrigerator freezer it is a norcold brand and you can see the freezer if i remember how to open it has lots of space and then the refrigerator i don't think you could need more room you can't fill this thing up unless you're maybe a family of six and then moving on to this area we have a nice spot for you to put another appliance um a four-top insignia um stove this is brand new this year in this model there are now four burners and in the older models they had a drawer a big drawer down below but now this model has a brand new um feature that's a full-size residential oven you can put a whole turkey in there we also have an insignia microwave oven it does have a shelf that we just don't have in it right now we take it out for travel purposes and in this cabinet i love this slide-out drawer i haven't decided what i'm going to put in there yet like i said we're still moving in and then there's a nice spot for your cookie sheets and cutting boards and over here this window i'm not going to roll it up right now because it takes a while but you can see the size of this window with this blackout curtain the pantry look at all those goodies you can see this goes from here all the way to here and it's about the same depth as the other cabinet one two three four five shelves does have a light inside oh it has a light inside that's very helpful for when you're sneaking out to get those late night munchies and also i didn't mention that all of the cabinets have this frosted glass look looks very pretty and this one i'm doing short to reach uh but you can put a whole lot of big stuff in there you can even add shelves i have no idea what's going in there yet and beyond that we have the entertainment system you want to tell them about that uh sure it's a tcl i think it's a 50 inch tv and then above the tv there is more storage super tall again as you can tell it's above allison's head there but there is one shelf there they're only about four inches deep but there's a lot of storage up there for some smaller items and then down here we have the fireplace it works as a heater also or you can turn the heat function off and just use it for the ambiance i'll walk you guys around this side just the other side of the kitchen area that allison was just showing first i want to show you the uh the nighttime shades here we only have the blackout we didn't get the uh daytime shades but they run down real easy with the with the string they stop wherever you want them to and when you want them to go back up just give them a little tug and release them and they go up on their own so i think those are really an awesome feature um you got harry sitting on his bed here on the the theater seating harry approves yeah he approved well sit down here you have the the little loop over here to put the the legs out i like the loop better than the uh electric ones because first you have to be connected to electric to get the electric to work and uh it doesn't take as long to wind them back in as it does with an electric one you just push it in place and these as you can see are the thomas payne collection these aren't new uh for this year they've been using these for a few years over here if you take a look we have heat uh cupholder light that also lights up underneath the seat and then we have a massage as well so heat has two levels massage has two levels and light just comes a light under the cup holder and a little bit under your seat also and if you notice this disc here that is for your late night snacking or early day snacking whatever you want you take the table it comes with two of them two of these one for each seat and you simply just put it over the the thing and it slides right into place so now you've got a spot for food or a laptop or an ipad or whatever your whatever you might need in your lap moving on from the theater seats i'll go ahead and show you guys uh the table this uh feature is new for this year the take the about six inches of table here they have spliced it and put in some hinges so when you're ready for four people to eat around it all you have to do is pull pull up on the table and there's a little mechanism down here that locks the table in place and now it's good you can go ahead and put your plates on it or whatever the case is to get it down there's just a little loop and you just put your finger in there pull down and it falls right away so that is new for the 2021 year also i didn't mention but all of the chairs the four chairs that we do have have some storage in them it's about not two inches deep and you know the size of the chair pad so it's actually a nice little place i've got uh the laptop fits in there pretty nice and some camera equipment also fits in there so that's a plus for the new dinette as well and uh also if you look up you can see we have our accent lighting on right now it's on flash mode it's it will cycle through a whole bunch of colors it shows them for a second or two each and then it goes away you can turn that on to all solid or blinking or flash what it's doing now i have it on flash you can also do that for the underbelly uh lighting and here are the steps to our master suite located at the bottom of the steps we have this handy little electric dustpan so you sweep and then just give this little thing a kick and magic next to that we have a central vacuum system you have the hoses are stored and you just plug them in and you can vacuum all the way from the front to the back with one hose and right here we have the central control system for the rv this little panel controls your heating lighting um you can see your black tanks gray tanks fresh everything right here in this handy little panel and if you want it portable you just download the app on your phone and synchronize it and there you have the controls at your fingertips now come on up and i'll show you the bathroom this has a nice sliding pocket door so that you don't have to worry about a doorway to fight with getting in and out of the bedroom here you can see that we have a huge shower this is bigger than the shower in some apartments we've been in um i'm five three and a half and i can't even touch a ceiling hardly i definitely can't touch the there's a skylight um so if you're tall you have plenty of room one thing that we were really surprised about when we got our new rv is the new shower system we thought we were just going to get a handheld sprayer but look at this we have the sprayer the rainmaker and body jets it's amazing we have the three glass panel sliding door and you just lock it away for travel stays over here this is where you can put your towels or whatever we haven't organized it yet again that's coming soon this actually goes to the back of the kitchen cabinets this is a porcelain bowl with a plastic lid and a foot flush see the bunnies over here in the medicine cabinet you've got lots and lots of space i think that i'm going to put some baskets in there to help organize it this sink is wonderful look how deep it is you have plenty of room to wash your hands wash your dog if it's tiny enough and down here storage again it's got to be organized which we're just moving in we've only had this a week and it includes a max air fan um one in the this bathroom one in the other bathroom and one in the main living area welcome to our master suite we chose this model because it has the east-west bed on a slide this whole portion slides out to give you extra room look at all this room we have right here on the slide the side to slide and here we have the master closet look at all of this space there's an on off switch here for the light you have at the bottom a shoe shelf six shelves separated a hanging space and even a shelf up top notice how empty it is we haven't gotten our stuff yet um so it'll be full soon i don't even know if we could feel all this space actually and next to this we have more storage space or if you like you can choose to add a washer dryer there are the hookups right there next to the washer dryer you have this chest of drawers with six drawers these nice handles you can see how deep this is you can have his and hers or all hers depending on how much stuff you have and this model comes with three air conditionings we have one in the bedroom one in the main area and we even have an air conditioned garage oh and we have four tvs three air conditioners four tvs more than we've ever had in a house this in the bedroom one that you've seen in the main area one in the garage and one outside this is my side of the bed uh again we don't have all of our stuff here yet so it's pretty bare we do on this side have two usb plugs and two standard uh house outlets as well up here i have a shelf pretty decent shelf it's about six inches deep uh i plan to put another shelf or two in there just for more room and then down here we have three more shelves that go all the way to the floor for the last one also over here in the bed slide for each side we each have an overhead light switch that we can turn on for reading or getting up not bumping our heads or something like that so that's also uh pretty cool now i want to show you guys the under bed storage this one's a little different than most of them i see i've seen before on youtube it really gets up out of the way so let's check this out holds really high up here out of the way so you've got plenty of room to get in here and do what you need to do gas struts hold it up no problems whatsoever you can see it's about a foot deep and pretty good size under here maybe a drawback is going to be the shelf i think because once you get stuff under here the shelf doesn't move so you're you're gonna have to kind of get in there and crawl around to to get what's under the shelf there but lots and lots of storage room just like allison was saying nothing in there yet guys we just got our storage stuff yesterday so this will all be packed up soon and we'll show you again after we get it organized above the door to our garage you can see this loft area that can be an extra bed um there's a ladder that's in the garage right now that you can climb up to there i think we're just going to use it for storage and now into the garage who has a garage in their camper we do come on here in the garage you'll notice right as we come in on the wall there are some of our controls we have two awnings the one for the back porch and the one off the side here and we have uh lights for the sides and the back as well and then here we have the bed up and bed down for the happy jack system we'll show you here in a second moving on over this way we have the second full bath guys has plenty of storage room here a nice small but nice shower there another toilet and pretty much the same type sink that you have in the main bath or same size at least and you also have this cabinet here for your medicine cabinet area and also in the garage up here we have like allison was telling you earlier one of our four tvs and we have these one on each side of the garage not exactly sure what to do with these what we're going to store in them they look like chicken coops to me i might get some chickens and put up there maybe we'll have some fresh eggs if you see us on the road so from there we're going to go ahead and turn and show you guys the happy jack system which is above you now or above me now what this does i showed you the bed switch on the wall earlier this is going to come down and uh convert into several different modes for back here the first one we're going to show you is bunk bed mode it's going to be a queen-sized bunk bed two queen beds so we'll show you that now [Music] and this would be the queen-sized bunk bed mode we've got a full queen up on top and as you can see the bottom uh couches here also would make into a bed so you could technically you could sleep for adults back here um fairly easily if you've got grandkids you just have a whole slew of them in this thing next one next i want to show you or tell you a a dif a change in the happy jack system i believe it was this year it may have been 2020 also you used to have to pull four pins around this thing now all you have to do is make sure that the pins are swung one way or the other to make what you want to have happen so i'm going to go around and i'm going to put i'm going to switch these pins all you have to do is pull them out like that all four of them they go from from there if you want to lower the bed to there if you want to leave the bed in the raised position so i'll go ahead and knock those out and we'll raise it back up and we'll show you uh entertainment mode with the table that's actually right here will be down here and uh we'll be like in entertainment mode when we have friends over or we're gonna have dinner or something like that and now we're back in the original configuration that we showed you guys when we first came in the reason we have to do this is the top bunk isn't doesn't have a motor of its own so this is the only motorized section this has to push that top bunk up and get it out of the way so now we can bring this back down again and then get into dinner mode with friends or or um or game night or whatever we're gonna do back here so here we go let me mention these two these are the braces for uh under the under the seat and under the bed so we're not going to do the bed so we're just going to put the under seat ones down like that and that that's just some extra support for when you're sitting on the benches after they're down and there we go now we can have dinner or put together a puzzle or have people over just to chit chat whatever we want to do just another function in the garage back here guys the garage door here is called a three season door it used to just have plastic that would velcro on now they actually have glass panels for the for both top and bottom you can open the glass panels very easily by pushing two tabs on each panel and lowering it down i think there's three or there's two two places and then the third is all the way open so that's how you open the window but to open the actual door it has a lock mechanism here you just slide the lock open and then these two will slide open like that and then there's a little latch right here you'd have to pull the latch to get the doors to open all the way up so you could actually drive your toy in to your toy hauler area now that we have that opened up we have the back deck the patio guys this is where uh we like to sit here and watch sunsets or just watch the neighbors or whatever the case is we'll sit out here uh most nights and um just until it gets dark and hang out for a while thank you
