2021 GNCC Live Round 3 - The General ATVs

[Music] congratulations one more time [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] are you ready to go hello and welcome to america's premier off-road racing championship the 2021 gncc series presented by specialized in ama national championship i'm rodney tom along with mikey wayne's as we bring to you today the live coverage of today's racing action here from beautiful aeonia pass in washington georgia and mikey as we set the stage for this it was only seven short days ago that we saw the craziness and wildness that took place in the sands of florida for round number two as bryce and neal came into that one with points lead and everyone knew that walker fowler was going to be becoming a gun and there's no doubt yeah walker fowler came ready to race hunter hart came ready to race is he a nice i think we're gonna find out today whether or not those first two rounds for hunter hart were they fluke i don't think they were but i think round number three is gonna be the one to sort it out yeah a lot of folks are to be watching out for for hunter a lot of folks are wondering right now about uh coleridge he hasn't gotten up to steam yet uh you know we've seen some decent performances but we really haven't seen uh any major marks by jared mcclure by adam mcgill just yet and it's still early in the season though we've only got two rounds of racing under the belt uh kind of surprising though to see uh maybe not a surprise we were kind of expecting this maybe a year or so ago with hunter harvey yeah good to see that that's happening the rookies uh they seem to be faring okay but i believe drew landers is out of this one because of uh some issues that that he's had and also i know that austin abney had some issues at our last round as well yeah austin uh for some mechanical issues last round and uh he was bummed but uh i've seen some maturity in him we had a chance to talk to him on racer tv right after the breakdown and uh he was cool calm collected and he said you know on to georgia so already that maturity that next level that xc1 mentality is getting there for both him and i got to believe drew landers as well oh yeah it's a learning curve and it's hard to come into the season and and basically your pro career on behind the eight ball like that but uh you know i think both those riders are talented enough and they have good enough teams and good enough people behind them that they're going to be able to move forward in the future without much issues uh you know obviously it was just a mechanical issue for austin hopefully drew's gonna work through his issues his injury i don't believe he's gonna be racing this weekend probably take a couple of races off before we'll see him again however speaking of our last race uh down in florida we had a uh a barn burner and like i said you know uh leading into this walker fowler you know after sustaining that loss the first loss since since like 2015 i think he has incurred uh in the opening round the gncc racing walker fowler came to florida with a bit of a chip on his shoulder but at the same time uh bryce and neal was coming with a lot of momentum yeah that nailed it bryce and neal it was riding on another level uh in round number two but cool calm collected points whatever you want to call it for walker fowler just don't call it luck as we saw in the post race interview i don't know where that all started but uh i think walker was there to make a statement and uh i looked to see some more of that in round three now surprisingly the motocross racer wesley wolf getting a phenomenal start and he backed that up on tuesday with a third place position finish at the daytona atv so congratulations to wesley wolf we'll see if that translates into great things for him as well i hear this weekend maybe he can keep the momentum rolling on his side and put together that entire two hours that's going to be a little difficult yeah rodney we were talking before today's race i think we ratted off seven to eight guys that we believe either have gncc wins or certainly have the ability to go out there and get a win today so i'm looking forward to seeing how things shake down in that xc1 yeah you know the big question i think probably on a lot of folks minds after that big race there in florida where we saw uh you know hunter hart getting out to a lead there on the first lap i was talking with walker fowler he said you know they kind of had a game plan going into that one if uh hunter was in the lead he was going to go or they got to the water holes hunter was going to lead first dude so that walker could get through and then he could key off walker in other parts of the track so good learning experience for hunter it was kind of a trade out for him yeah if he would have gotten buried there but uh you know pretty interesting strategy that those two riders were using but man the way that bryson neil came on as the race wore on uh it was unbelievable obviously getting that penalty off the start uh 15 seconds uh right off the bat at the end of that first lap i turned the pass to slap on lap number two he bridged that gap on lap number three i even you know was battling back and forth with with walker taking the lead a couple different times i think the two biggest takeaways in in round two were cole richardson after hit the race he said he felt like he inherited third place he said that's not how i want to get a podium i look to see him be very hungry today and without a doubt bryce and neal is going to be starved for for a win here today no doubt you look at the point standings right now bryson has 30 points those are the 30 points that he gained in that one round of racing he's still ahead of jared mcclure who in two rounds of racing has only accumulated 30 points that puts him right now i think we're looking 25 points out of the lead from walker fowler theoretically it's a long road of hope as far as those points things but i think even more interesting hunter hart the youngster consistency paying off for this rider like you said like a lot of people are wondering those first looks with it the real thing will hunter heart be able to ride consistently in a podium position or battle for a podium position here in round number three and as the season wears on i have to think the kid really seems to be finding some stride out there i think he's gonna be a threat but like we know there's seven guys so yeah if seven guys can take a win seven guys can take any one of those positions as well so if you're running in that top seven i think you're doing extremely well in the 2021 season that nails it right there and of course rodney the xc2 this season obviously we're going to have a new champion and that one with austin had me moving up to the xc1 uh there was uh definitely some good racing in the xc2 yeah and this one mikey this one's still up in the air there's a lot of names and a lot of faces and some some unfamiliar faces people that we might not necessarily expect to see up front running up front that's the excitement of xc2 class and we're going to focus a little more on that throughout the course of the show today because those guys are putting on a whale of a show uh we may not have the flash and pizzazz that we've had in recent years at least in the early part of the season we haven't noticed it yet but i think if we dig a little deeper we're going to be able to figure that out well as we get ready for today's race i think it's time to take a look at the yamaha track map with jared bolton thanks guys welcome back once again to georgia sun's out it's a beautiful weekend for racing here at the awesome aeonia pass motocross facility there's a reason we keep coming back here people really really love this place and i know i'm gonna go ahead and say it i've done so good so far this year not saying this but this place has something for everyone and i know i said that all last year that's really true when you come here when you pass there's fast trails there's tight trails and there's stuff right there in the middle of it and of course there's motocross track as well we're actually not running the motocross track this year because like i said the sun's out it's really really dusty we want to keep it as safe as possible so we kept the guys off the motocross track keep that dust down yeah we've got a water truck yeah we can water it but the dangerous thing is when you start watering the middle of the race man you come around one lap and it's all dry and hard packed now all of a sudden that hard pack turned into slick we don't want to do that to those guys so we kept cutting out the motocross track this year but we made right before it there's great woods there's some awesome sections of believe it or not there's new trail mixed in with some of the really really uh popular sections that we run here each and every time overall this is a beautiful course it's going to produce some great racing because like i said there's something for everybody out there give everybody a little bit of an advantage here they on you pass back to you guys all right thanks a lot jared and mikey i tell you we've got a great track great weather it's warm here today maybe warmer than it has been uh through the first two rounds of racing uh some overcast guys might be a little bit of a relief but that heat's out there this course is dry so there will be a little bit of dust i don't know that it's going to be much factor we'll just have to wait and see i'm ready rodney we're going to opportunity to inspect the course have heard the race procedures and a description of the course if you feel that either you or your machine is not prepared time for you to withdraw for a complete high concentrations of bands crew members and family members do not take unnecessary risks that endanger the safety of fans crew members and family members you will be penalized for reckless racing crew members family members and race fans due to the nature of gncc racing there is no fence barrier around the racecourse it is your responsibility to keep yourself and your children a safe distance from the racecourse never turn your back on coming racers and remember stay off the racetrack safety of everyone unauthorized drones are not allowed at gncc and will be confiscated and finally these are challenging times and we must all do our part to keep ourselves and each other safe from infectious disease please maintain a safe six foot distance from people you do not live with and wear a lot of sunshine raining down on us here today even warmer even stuffier than it was a week ago in florida so we are set and we are ready for the big things to take place here in georgia will the heat be a fracture today will the dusty conditions be a factor today as it has not rained here for two weeks and we are looking at very dry conditions as far as heading into this third round of racing is concerned are we concerned about dust not yet but time will tell and speaking of time ricky tower is about to start the clock as our maestro ceremonies the conductor steps out as he gets set to signal these riders of one minute before the gncc gets underway one minute we are one minute away from the waving of this green flag and the intensity of the 2021 championship to reach here early on a lot of my colleague down on the starting line mr rodney tomlin with those iconic 10-second calls and this is round number three the 2021 gncc racing series presented by a specialized ama national championship and this is kind of where the race is at right now that number two spot now starting to see these gaps open up a little bit right here uh now if you're watching at home maybe you're watching live timing in school are you kidding me it's gonna be like a 16 lap race no you're fine that first lap a little shorter obviously we'll count in the lap total but uh we're not going to see five-minute lap times all day long those will get longer after lap number two we'll look at that track map just here in a second i want to keep our eyes on these leaders coming through when they checked it it was walker out front which you just saw on screen we had chris borge glance away for a second at my paperwork i shouldn't have i think that might have been mcgill in the number two spot as i look back up but uh regardless walker out front borich mcgill mcclure cole richardson fifth hunter hart back in that number six spot when he uh checked in with that short lap number one the guy that was at the back of the pack that's got his work cut out for him bryson neal i say back at the pack uh middle of the pack for the xc1 but when you think of bryce and neal and what the expectations are for himself and the fans at home uh you expect to see him out front early so you know how much energy is bryce neal going to have to exert early in this one uh to try and catch up with those leaders we know he's capable of it not saying he's not going to get there but boy it's going to be a tough one on him today so again this is mile marker number four technically speaking we don't want to confuse you guys it is lap two again that first lap obviously an abbreviated lab uh not running the entire course uh so we'll get a better idea of what we're going to look at as far as lap times once these guys come around with two laps completed so we've got some time before that yet coming into this one um walker fowler coming off the wind looking to go back-to-back if you stayed with us on racertv.com last week you heard him after the race uh not necessarily the normal walker fowler interview we uh we will have our xc2 guys ripping through here so we'll keep our eyes open for them but walker fowler said uh you know i asked him after the race what did it take to get out in front of the guys capture the wind he said ah look just luck pure luck obviously a little bit of sarcasm i don't know who out there got him fired up but boy you uh you might have woken awoken the beast walker fowler big lead right now uh got a little break in the action right here looking at the two-mile marker i believe we are going to take a look at the specialized rapid replays for our xc1 and xc2 hole shots specialized start recap so we'll take a look at the xc1 class [Music] down there on the starting line the xc1 replay coming at you ricky tarry with the waving of the green flag often rolling jockeying for position you can see walker fowler there on the inside and mcgill battling for him right behind him but it was going to be walker fowler taking it mcclure right there in that number two spot mcgill following behind him in the number three position so uh some of the the i guess at this point you could say wiley veterans out in front ripping and rolling and boy if you're walker fowler fan that's where you want to see him if you're anybody else you don't want to see him out front like that early trying to stretch it out already we take a look at the xc2 replay our specialized rapid replay ricky towery got her dialed got the 10 second call from rodney tomlin waves that green flag look at all the riders in the xc2 i gotta say sport atvs are in good shape how about the start for michael mcavoy babymac going in a lot of hungry riders that xc2 class that's going to be a new champion out of that one this year with austin avenue moving up to the xc1 drew landers moving up to the xc1 uh which i did not see i don't think drew's running today in that xc1 class but uh those two guys moving up doors wide open for an xc2 championship who wants it round three we're doing it in georgia it's hot it's uh there's a slight breeze but not a whole lot of a breeze uh it's i think it's about high 70s right now i think we're going to look at the yamaha racing track map to give you folks at home an idea of what our riders are in store for today but uh gotta say you're talking to everyone this morning from the micros to the youth to the four by four pro guys to the wxc everybody kind of have the same consensus this is a rough track it is a tough track it is hot hot hot hot so uh this track map the specialized general gncc beautiful facility down here at aeonya pass gives everybody a little bit of everything kind of a classic gncc track if you will obviously our two featured sections the fmf powerpoint uh they're between the nine and the ten and then between the two and the three that monster mile where we saw those leaders coming through a moment ago battling for that number two spot so there you go guys it's uh it's gonna be a good one uh like i said it's hot it's dusty um i don't think jordan ashburn and josh strange are battling for second but that's okay that's right that's tomorrow maybe that was a prelude that was the prelude to tomorrow but right now atv racing out on the track these guys should be popping out of the woods here in a moment and we'll get our eyes on them but yeah what a beautiful facility been coming here uh been here several times and uh as a lot of folks uh in the gncc racing world they talk about round three it's kind of that race where things start to take shape as far as how the season is going uh round number one big buck g and cc you got some of those first round jitters uh you get those out of the way and then next thing you know we're in the stands in florida where a lot of riders they love it down there because they train in it or it's the opposite it's hey i'm only going to run sand a couple times a year in florida and then at camp coker in south carolina why am i going to train down there when this is more like the terrain we run in so it's a race of survival so then once you get to georgia it's like all right no more excuses it's not round one those round one jitters are done with we're not in the sand of florida anymore it's put up or shut up time uh so a lot of riders if they did not get to start in those first two rounds if they wanted here's the race where they got to turn things around they know it's still early in the season a lot of race left or a lot of season left i should say for them to come out and make a statement so yeah good stuff yes always always so uh taking a look at a landscape right there thank you appreciate you cookie delivery i'm not turning down cookies that's off screen though but uh yeah so it should be a good race out here again kind of letting the folks know if you're just tuning in if you're looking at life scoring you're saying to yourself are you kidding me they ran lap times of five minutes to six minutes for the leaders well not necessarily so there's a good idea of where they're at now obviously like i was saying that first lap an abbreviated lap they don't run the entire track so we'll get a better idea of lap times here in lap two that red dot you saw moving on there that uh that should be about where our uh leaders are at and should pop out here into the open field section and then skip back into the woods walker fowler out front chris porch in the number two spot mcgill third taking a look at your overall unofficial rather uh boy how about it we're moving right along in this one are you kidding me i don't think my scoring computer is right on timing but uh we're moving along in the race here mcgill again third mcclure fourth uh richardson boy look at him go walker fowler do you think he wants to come out and make a statement walker fowler right now out of the woods and back into the woods before we see second place rider on screen wow i don't know what else to say wow uh walker fowler absolutely ripping right now the man's on a mission number one the defending champ giving the fans a thumbs up going after uh what would be i believe it was a 61st win a weekend ago in florida and looking for win number 62 getting squirrely around the outside and man just impressive impressive start for walker fowler i mean he knows i think he knows but what bryce and neal is capable of uh how hungry hunter hart is and i think walker fowler he said it i can't remember if it was post race interview or if it was was off air but in walker fowler's words he said basically you know i got punched in the mouth in round number one and i needed that i needed that wake-up call and uh i don't know if that was the wake-up call he needed the punch in the mouth or if it was somebody out there in the world of social media saying he was lucky but whoever lit this fire under walker fowler uh boy you awoken the beast early here in round number three at the specialized general as walker stretching this thing out and still a battle for that number two spot as rodney tomlin joins us in the booth you know i just want to elaborate on that walker follow what's got him fired up you know the internet chatter this that and the other and i'll tell you another thing that fires him up is us he said you're not talking about me enough it's talking about the dollar show he didn't say that i pulled it within five seconds of bryce and neal by the so those kind of little i mean it's little things but i mean it it it it's funny i did an interview with walker yesterday and i posted it on my social media on quad radio and that's basically what he said is you know that i made i made up into five seconds behind bryson nobody said a thing hey so it's our fault for the folks at home man walker's back out front blame me and rodney well he and he understands the hype of the situation and the whole grand scheme of things and how those last laps work and and so forth but still man i mean you know when you're on top and you're used to being talked about and all the you know you you kind of miss it i guess whenever whenever you don't get it the way that you're used to getting i mean hey man i mean we all like hugs from mom and the first day mom don't hug you know you're like what's going on mom that's true it's one of those things and we've said it in the past about both walker and caleb russell it's one of those things you know a lot of folks that maybe they're not a fan of the guy because he wins all the time they're the same people that 10 years from now they're going to look back and be like man i remember i was at the gncc when walker was dominating when caleb was dominating so you're a part of gncc history and that's amazing but i get it from a fans perspective come on i want to see somebody else you gotta have somebody to root for and you gotta have somebody through it again we need a ying and a gang out here exactly and we're developing a lot of that right now walker fowler is developing his own style right now he had a 12.2 second gap over chris sports at the conclusion of lab number one i'm going out on a limb here saying that's starting to spread out a little bit yeah mcgill got off to a good start too i thought he was going to secure that second place position but what's cool is got a couple of the old school guys up there in the uh front there talking about uh uh borg and mcgill running second and third so this will be interesting with mcclure there as well uh kind of the old guard if you will with gorge mcgill mcclure they're the seasoned veterans if you will uh you can classify cole richardson maybe as a veteran at this particular point but he's not a seasoned veteran just yet back in that uh uh number five i'm talking about cole richardson i'm sorry i said mcclure about matt cole richardson he's mcclure is a season better richardson is a veteran hunter hart he's starting to establish a little better in standards now after a few years in his 61 class and obviously bryce and neal veteran greg covert john glotta still new to the class josh merritt's finally uh really starting to see some big things out of him over the course of the last season or two and here at the nine mile marker as we approach the 28 minute mark walker fowler continues to dominate and basically uh destroy this field here on lap number two uh this was kind of what i expected to see honestly in florida remember i talked about it you know walker's gonna come out with a chip on his shoulder well that chip he's got rid of the chip now this is out here for fun and just proving points and explanation points uh he got off obviously to a great start there's no doubt about that bryce and neal not sure what happened to him off the start here today but that was a tricky start a lot of people getting collected in that first and second turn out there were more more so in the first turn today than generally we see and that was surprising because that was the left-hand start normally the left-hand starts are a lot more free i think but uh these guys are all i mean that's just everybody through the entire 200 rider field that was on the starting line this afternoon everybody's hungry everybody's digging deep trying to establish some sort of name or dominance here in the early part of the 2021 season out of the fmf powerpoint we're watching uh riders go by now and there are some of our two wheel riders i think as we wait on the leader at our next point here we see a lot of guys bicycling out there what's the bikes doing on the racetrack well they're also out checking out the course for tomorrow's two-wheel action that's going to be taking place and also uh tonight is our first round of emtb gncc started out this morning 8 o'clock with microatvs 50ccs then micro motorcycles 9 30 uh we had youth atvs uh 11 o'clock we had the uh amateur races here we are two o'clock for the big pro uh xc1 xc2 and amd classes we still got emtb g and cz and ep we racing that's going to be taking place at the finish line and then we might settle down and get to go to church service tonight go over to yamaha and watch the uh supercross on the big screen over there maybe win some cool prizes from our friends very cool yeah they're giving away at uh uh ttr i think the 110 that is a slick bike man and uh if you're not eligible for that like me not being eligible for being a part of the gncc staff it really hurts my feelings there's walker power let's put a clock on this right now and see just exactly what the deficit is i saw him at about the 12 second mark when he first came into the view but we'll get him on his way out looking smooth and clean through there rodney that's the other thing i was telling the folks at home it's dusty not not necessarily through here uh brothers walker fowler coming in to the finish line canes i'm sorry no you're i was gonna say it's it's very dusty especially this section right here which i'm sure they put some water down but i can tell you first hand uh it was difficult to see and you could see it in some of those riders on the four by four pros in the wxc as they hit some of those sections it was hey i gotta keep a little distance let that dust settle that or i need to be all over the rear wheel and be on them before the dust is in the air so all right uh some pretty technical stuff all right just a couple of things to point out as we get the split screen here and i'm going to say we're somewhere in the neighborhood of over 30 seconds between first and second place right now but uh pointing out our first lap we're starting out somewhere around the 10 mile marker so we were just uh a hair or five minutes for that first lap look at this nose-to-tail battle and that's bryson neal i believe working in the third yeah working his way up through the pack now so into the number two spot as we wrap up lap number two we see that uh jared mcclure has taken over the number two spot bryson neal in the number three spot cole richardson in fourth adam mcgill now dropping off to the number five position but i'll tell you these guys basically nose to tail from second third and fourth what's that gap 40.7 seconds wow he's on a mission the only guy that may stop that today might be the number two bryce neal just went into the number two spot around jared mcclure's we saw him coming out of the pits there there's the uh number five machine with all kinds of pressure being applied to him chris board she's got her heart all behind him so some things are switching up there i don't know do we have some pit stops for some of these i don't i don't think so i thought everybody's rolled through yeah i just think that there were a couple little changes there in the short sections of track before we saw them are between camera shots uh from the finish line to the uh pits which is not far from the finish line itself so that that's kind of neat the way they've got the course laid out here this weekend yeah i'm blown away i know it's early i know we still got to get pit stops to get through all of that uh they'll get into lap traffic quickly here today it seems like it's you know i don't know what else to say walker fowler putting on an absolute heater right now all right here i want to point something out bryce and neal coming from seventh place and that was on a short lap obviously so he worked his way through the pack up to a third place now second place position walker fowler turned a 26 minute 20 second lap time with the competition trying to battle through the pack bryce neal turned to 26-36 this will be interesting now that he's in the number two spot will he be able to bridge that 40 second gap or how much of that 40 second gap will he be able to bridge will he be able to run the pacer that walker's setting up front or will he set a new pace up front he's uh he's pushing he's definitely pushing and once he's around those guys which i believe he is um he's got wide open track in front of him rodney so he he can really lay it all out there man talking to a lot of those xc1 pro guys when they were talking about bryce and they were like he was riding at a pace and had a level that i just hey go go do your thing because i don't i don't want any part of it rock walker fowler on screen right there uh kind of nice here before all the leaves are on the tree he's got the pine needles but other than that we can we can make out that uh white chest protector yamaha live drum action here today from georgia this was uh last year whenever we got all these great shots and then we came back two months later and we couldn't see through the trees because spring had set in spring hasn't sprung yet but uh we are knowing that walker balor springing into action here today in round number three as we watch like mikey said the white helmet the white chest protector just well just basically uh toeing through the woods i mean that almost looks like a tip toe through the tulips do the two no tulips but for walker fowler out here in this section man he is on rails today um again you know a week ago that win probably pretty monumental had walker not gotten that win last week i would imagine that this week would have been a very very bad week for him and he would have come in here with a little different attitude maybe not nearly as nice a guy as we know walker balor has but uh he's he's got you know i mean the beauty of it is walker realizes where he's at he realizes where everyone else is and you know we may realize it but i don't think we know and realize as much as walker does walker sees it from a totally different perspective he battles against those guys head to head so he knows who the fierce competition coming up is mentioning hunter hart obviously bryce and neal um you know just a couple of the guys but i i think that hunt or excuse me that walker is a little worried about hunter and honey getting his rolling he did mention that in the post race interview of uh hunters a guy coming up he's uh he's a little bit of a threat this year but he's like i'm looking into next year and the year after he's going to be a lot a bit of a threat so hunter hart is got it dialed he's been working a little bit with not a little bit mark naughtman kind of helping them get the suspension and everything dialed in on the bike and uh kind of showed him the ropes on that hunter heart's been training with uh with steve hatch which has been a tremendous help to his racing program and um yeah i gotta agree with with walker fowler hunter hearts on the rise and uh bryce and neal knows that too that's another guy that's that's got to be in the back of his head is okay well i'm bryce and neal maybe i can finally get walker whip just in time for this hunter heart kid to come up and be battling with me right and i don't think any gown has been gained by our pack of riders battling for second place position right now as we look back into the xc2 pro m class just to give you an idea what's going on back there for you folks kevin yoho former xc1 pro writer he's raised some age classes and hasn't raced a pro race for several years now he's uh dropped back to the program class which he is in status for uh wyatt wilkin leading that one on the 621 this kid's going to be one watching i think this year kevin yoho is going to put the pressure on him and make these kids really work for today tanner walker out there on the number three brandon owens another kid on that pirate mx ride out of walker west virginia and fourth kenny schick and fifth trey seifert in sixth grayson eller still battling that knee injury the 171 phoenix racing machine is in seven ben kawaluski is eighth dylan wall raven in the ninth aboard the 622 and max lane was the rider the ama pro atv rider uh had uh had a good heat race last tuesday at the uh daytona atv supercross uh had some trouble there in the main event but still finished the solid top 10 there so max link was rolling in 10th place this is the third race in seven days believe it or not so he raised uh ama pro atv on tuesday after racing at the gncc and he's back here again now max talking with him i'm not sure what his mindset is for the rest of the season but i know he really likes the atmosphere here in gncc it's kind of a fun thing for him something that he can come and do and not have a lot of pressure on as he trains and gets himself prepared for more of the battles in the ama pro atp ranks as a rookie in that class well we're happy to have him for sure i love i love a crossover from atvmx to gncc getting a little taste another guy that had major success was which we talked about pre-show was uh wesley wolfe yeah third place at atvmx uh that was after a whole shot just a few days earlier gncc i tell you if this momentum continues for uh 47-41 of wesley wolf this is going to be a banner year for him uh he's outside the top 10 right now as we take a look at the xc1 pro class not sure what exactly happened there on lap one but he is running 12th in class right now about 15 seconds uh behind covert you know he might just be hey i did all i needed to do last tuesday i'm just out here and enjoy it and that mindset is nothing wrong with it because wesley did say in an interview if you watch the interview i did with him on quad radio he said i am going to be focusing more on one discipline than the other he's choosing the atv motocross side of things to do that in and using gncc for fun and training at the same time for that endurance level but he says he likes gncc it's fun it's just that he can't he says i just can't ride at the level that walker and jared and bryson and those guys are up front right now so i'll just enjoy them enjoy it the way that i do now that's fair enough yeah i agree wholeheartedly hey ryan i'm on seo good to see you my young friend hello so as we uh roll through this one it is a beautiful day monster mile we uh weatherman mikey says 78 i think degrees might have been the or maybe it was 75 or so whatever i seen 79 of somebody's thermometer mostly cloudy skies is what they call for we've seen partly cloudy skies yeah there's a little cloud cover out there right now but there's still plenty of sun and while uh you know you would think florida would be our hot race oh yeah no this is the hot race and uh wow it's been toasty i'm in my second shirt change of the day i had my racer tv polo on and uh it was blue it was brown by the end of the youth race unfortunately for me the specialized guys they're doing some uh some giveaways today because this is the specialized general uh so they had some specialized shirts they said you want a shirt i said absolutely so i thought hey if you guys are title race sponsor i can get away with the t-shirt as long as it says specialized exactly i'll take it yeah give me three i'm probably i'm gonna need at least four or five more tomorrow so yeah we got definitely dry conditions just give you an idea on what's going on there's some of our xc2 leaders i think are checking through here in the monster mile again that class being led by wyatt wilkin uh on the 621 kevin yoho uh the 42 and second tanner walker uh 926 and third brandon owens of 246 and fourth and kenny schick was rounding out the top five on the 259 machine but uh yeah here we are man and uh with uh this race going mikey uh uh no rain in the last couple of weeks dry conditions uh if you've noticed if you've noticed we don't see a lot of uh open field sections out today yeah that was that was something we saw when we were looking at the yamaha racing track map i said this is this is an old-school gncc and i feel like that's kind of the consensus from a lot of riders as well is hey you know round one is round one you got those jitters round two we're battling the sands of florida and the palmettos round three is where we separate them from the boys now we get to that old school gncc roots and roots as you see the the atv bobbing through there that monster mile man it may not be a full mile but i can guarantee you for the riders out there it feels like one it's a monster there's no doubt about that this riders continue to check in here at the monster mile lab number two mile two at uh the uh specialized general gncc uh leaders uh waiting on the leaders to come through here any time now at the two mile marker actually to the four mile marker there's our spotter hollywood waiting frantically over here over here there's walker fowler checking in so fowler's still out front of this one as we get a clock on this one 42.05 as they round the tree when will our second place ride around that tree we'll wait here patiently to find out and then of course we'll start assessing the situation is bryson neal making up time is it staying the same is walker galler walker tyler splitting that gap even more i'm getting ahead of myself there i guess but splitting that gap even more and uh really putting an explanation point on this second win in a row possibly so there you go rodney uh bryce and neal there the number two machine it's just him in the track right now trying to catch up with uh with walker fowler we'll see if he can make it happen uh but boy this is uh i gotta think bryce neal the rough start that he had we knew he'd have to work his way up the pack that the downside of that being middle of the pack that early is man you got to exert so much energy but uh folks at home if you've seen the guy the guy's a machine uh he's he's definitely equipped for it but how much is he gonna have left in the tank as the race wears on uh you get down to the end and he's gotta do that battling with walker fowler walker fowler able to be out front and set that pace and uh what had him adam gordon on the radio said i think it was about 30 second gap if that's the case he shaved what 10 seconds off of it bryce neal has already about 10 seconds so he went back to spot to spot and of course that gap has been closed by 10 seconds we're down down to 30 seconds at the four mile marker here at uh the aeonia passes uh specialized general gncc kim walker fowler maintained the pace will bryce and neal be able to bridge that gap stick you will rodney tomlin along with mikey waynes for this the specialized general gncc looking at uh about the eight mile marker right now i think we just uh picked our leaders up at the four just before the break so we'll be seeing uh we'll be picking them up probably someplace else before now but uh taking a look at this right now you know i was talking i believe with walker fowler yesterday he said that i have to go back and count how many times it's happened but he says that chris borch has won this event seven times believe it or not wow yeah so that's pretty impressive so uh getting some radio traffic uh looks like bryson's team is doing some sort of math and trying to figure out some sort of strategy out there i think they're they're counting lap time right now to be honest with you uh when we went through the finish line mikey wayne's we remember it was a 40.7 second gap we were looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 seconds four miles into this race so at the eight mile mark in theory there should only be a 20 second gap when these riders do appear here in this yamaha section of our race course uh we're now just over 50 minutes approaching the one hour mark in this two-hour uh race and of course excitement just i i don't believe we've hit the pinnacle beside you i mean the start was pretty exciting uh seeing adam mcgill and chris porch get such a strong start today and and ride you know a good part of the first lap or so uh in in great contention uh it was great we've seen them both drop back to fifth and sixth at this particular point in the race and the young hunter hart currently back in a seventh place position this is not what we're used to seeing at least through these first two rounds so we're going to be keeping an eye on hunter hart the number seven to see if he's able to make some gains as this race wears on as well there's walker fowler checking in at the eight mile marker they are blistering today my friend yeah i just keep seeing him look at this there there he is bryce and neal on the screen i was waiting on him to pop in so yeah and i didn't even put a i mean i was expecting this to be a much bigger gap i'm going to assume we are in that 22nd uh range that i was thinking we are trying to get oh boy yeah is that them both in the field sex no that's is that bryson i think that's brilliant that is bright that's well within 10 seconds or better bryson going into the woods okay so that's third behind yeah okay okay that would be uh muffler or richardson quite possibly back in that third or fourth place position i'm not sure how that seated in right now but yeah i was going to say man that gap looked like it had get closed up quite a bit in that last few seconds there but that not the case that was kneel we saw leading into the heading into the woods uh so we'll get a better idea here probably in just a few moments as more of our top riders are checking in here at the eight mile marker there is the number four machine chair mcclure mcclure was in that number two spot so i'm going to assume that that might be cole richardson now possibly in third if that was the writer latched on to bryce and neal trying to track down walker fowler there is fowler going through now say at the 52-15 mark we saw him disappear out of sight oh mercy he's on the move man there is bryson neal there's 15 seconds there is 20 seconds 20 seconds is separate chipping and and what did i tell you at the eight nine mile mark right the eight mile marker to be down to about 20 seconds that's exactly where we are cole richardson is coming with him right now as he's hooked up uh you know we might call him the cold train and that might be exactly what he is a coal car latched on latched on to bryson neal who he's just letting use as the the engine if you will to get him up to uh walker fowler think about this we are looking at the likelihood and the possibility if this trend continues a three-way battle in these final and closing moments this last hour of racing we haven't even hit the one-hour mark and we're about ready to hit a high peak in this race this is that last hour this last hour is going to be off the scale these guys are going to be spent if they race at the intensity i feel is coming bryce and neal bobbin and weaving right there through the fmf powerpoint and you got to think rodney pitstops are coming up with them this close who's got that pit stop dialed it's a one misstep you could right now you could drop two positions easily i mean everybody out front right now they're always dialed in down there but you never know that pressure gets to the pit stop uh gets your uh your trackside crew and could shake things up certainly for the overall and then obviously we've got battles going on behind it right and i'll tell you right now uh the walker fowler pit crew are probably pretty um confident in their abilities uh they've been doing this for quite some time they have rarely do you ever see a miscue on a walker fowler pit so to see a mistake in the walker by the pits for a pit stop would be out of the ordinary but not out of the realm of possibility that's for doggone sure so we'll be keeping an eye on that and i don't actually i think everybody will be slick and clean in and out and uh it's just the intensity is just going to heat up that much more once we leave the pro pits now here we're still a few miles away from the finish line with 20 seconds being the gap in theory we should probably be around maybe the 10-12 second gap when they get to the finish line however that 10-12 seconds that puts into within visual sight of walker fowler which might inspire yeah bryce and neal which might tighten it up and it might be even tighter when we come around for three laps complete here in just a few moments things heating up right here walker fowler out there trying to make a statement bryce and neal another thing about bryce denali had the bad start if you're just tuning into racer tv you're like well this is what i expected these two guys up front no neil had to work his tail off in lap number one to get up to this point really in the first lap and a half to get up into this number two spot so we know the fitness is there we know the bike is there but that wears on a rider when you gotta push that much that soon is he gonna have enough in the tank physically when we get down to the nitty-gritty and that white flag comes out that was the eighth place right john glotta junior checking in on our fmf powerpoint we are due in at the finish line in a little under two minutes for our leaders according to timing and scoring right now so we'll be watching uh that pretty closely uh just at fyi we probably covered this but uh a year ago here at the general gncc walker fowler took the win bryce and neal took sack of chris porch third jared mcclure in fourth and adam mcgill in fifth surprisingly a lot of the same names are right there in the mix of things uh add uh cole richardson into that and now we got six into this so that i mean pretty neat how the same top five are running top six right now uh from last year so wouldn't it be interesting to see this exact same top five computer yeah from one year to the next that would be rare but not not again out of the realm of possibility still a long road to hoe out here as we roll through lap number two as we said we're getting down to uh close to timing and stories calculations of a complete lap as we wait on our leaders at the two mile marker we'll be getting those three lap scores uh times coming in here shortly oh this is not the two mile marker my apologies uh this is right before the finish line mikey wayne so we're waiting on the leaders right here so we should be seeing them about any time actually i thought i saw a glimpse of a white helmet there he is walker fowler on the screen looking flawless well you have to know i have to think that walker fowler getting out front you think well he's been pushing he's been but no walker fowler's found the flow out front oh yeah he's he's conserved all kinds of energy where the other guys working their way up through the pack have had to exert a lot of energy like this guy right here bryce and neal so he will be fresher for the fight whenever we get come down to the wire so that's going to make things very interesting as walker paler rattles the final turns here at the finish line chicane gets the two lap board two laps to go as we roll through this general tncc uh just under the one hour mark 57 minutes and i believe checked in at uh 58 minutes according to timing and scoring uh actually 5701 on our screen on the race car somewhere in that neighborhood but he's on a consistent pace there's no doubt about it now the big question is what is that gap now 40 seconds we counted it down to 20 now 17.9 seconds balor in the pits right now mikey wayne's he's in he's out as i said flawless pit stop bryce and neal hasn't made it to the pits yet so we're waiting on neil to check in he will do that now that 17 second gap uh might be a good good for him right now as he's able to get a little bit of breathing i've done here and relax a little bit let's see did he get past that riders going by that might have been a lap traffic and richardson may have elected not to pit that time around as he was just six points okay he is so that makes up a little more sense that why he would have gotten by bryce and neal but neal back around him as he exit the pits back in the number two spot still running in that neighborhood of about 18 seconds behind walker fowler race leader bryce and neal's got to feel good about that pit stop dad had him dialed in had the goggles on top of the ims tank there and it just it looked clean gives him an opportunity to kind of take a breather okay i'm doing all right still on that number two spot gap i'm sure they told him 15 seconds 18 seconds whatever it may be uh whatever the pit crew told him he's good you're fine too it amazes me as much as anything as we watch the yamaha live drum coverage there is the number four of jared mcclure but the intensity of what these guys are racing at the level that they're riding at you know we talked about the speeds in florida reaching in the woods speeds of up to 45 miles per hour uh just a week or so ago exactly a week ago i guess i should say down at hog waller for the wild boar gncc i don't know that we're getting those fastest speeds here in in georgia today but man these guys are definitely sending it through these trees today no doubt about that wanted to give a shout out i saw caitlyn osborne right there with jared mcclure's pit stop she actually took the win today in the uh wxc class so she was she was a little down on herself she got a podium in florida she said i'm coming out in georgia and i'm getting a win so i got her done today tracy pickens finished second and uh emily wise her very first time on the gncc podium surprisingly you know and she said yeah yeah and she said uh tracy pick and stuck around she was congratulating her and tracy pick and said we're gonna see you up here a lot i i just know it and uh there's no doubt emily who would i believe it race been racing college afternoon yeah maybe even moved up i think she moved up to college hey there was a time where she got nearly every hole shot in that galaxy class i called her the whole shot queen and man uh yeah she's got some speed there's no doubt about it and she is going to be a force to factor in those wxc races in our morning classes battles and we also had a good four by four battle today four pro class yeah landon landed wolf duking it out with cody collier cody collier coming out on top and then uh yeah it was two race wins for cody it was uh it was a barn burner to say the least that's that's it looks the 4x4 pro class it's tight this year and it looks a lot like that cunningham and and just asking did you see the video i i think josh merritt may have posted it of the 4x4 atv that hydro playing the rally is that no no no i'm sorry he was the michael really sunk it suck it uh up to the handlebars whoever went through there at 300 miles an hour like it was like it was a jet uh i can't remember who it was but that was an army that was that was pretty cool he actually hydro planed about what a 75 section of water uh and didn't touch i mean i don't know if the water was much more i mean it could have been 10 feet deep it could have been three inches deep but he was on top of it regardless fearless it was no doubt halfway point of this race so we are a little over one hour into this one now as walker fowler continues to lead bryce and neal with super watching on our yamaha live drone right now out of bidwell ohio the beaniel motorsports ct house cst houser racing back right got a chance to catch up with uh with bryson yesterday in our pre-race reports i don't know if you folks saw that but a lot of good i will say this keep an eye out i'm headed home bryson's headed home we live about 35 minutes from each other well probably about 25 minutes from each other we're going to meet in jackson we're going to do a live quad radio uh i believe this coming week so we'll be able to talk about these first three rounds of racing and get the scope of what he's looking forward to as far as the rest of 2021 is concerned that's coming up i'm not sure which night but one night this week uh coming up uh we will be live with bryce quad radio i feel like bryce and neal he knows i gotta win and if not every round i've got to be in the top two right period because here's the thing quite frankly walker fowler when's the last time he had a dnf when is the last time you know he had a mechanical error something like that it's so rare bryson neal knows that and he knows after round two hey now the pressure's on me and i gotta go out there and perform and without a doubt we're seeing it right now i know he's still in the number two spot he's got the axe out he's chipping away at it and i think before this i think before the white flag comes out we're going to see those guys battling there is a 25 point difference right now that separates walker fowler and um bryce and neal back in the seventh place position he's got 30. walker fowler has 55. uh in theory if walker was to finish second behind bryson it would take five races for them to be tied into the point standings that's if that works out that way however walker wins bryson falls back out of the second place he's going to lose even more points so it's going to get interesting and if bryce is able to win and walker somehow or another say the rails come off and yeah he doesn't finish second or he doesn't finish third those points are going to start to add up for bryce if and this is a big if again if he's able to get on a winning streak and start chipping away at the championship it's going to be tough but the way that we're watching bryson neil right right now i'm going to tell you it's well within the realm of possibility of happening now whether or not you'll be able to make it happen that's another question to be answered by 13 rounds of racing but i'll tell you right now for us as race fans we're in store for the great i'm telling you this is i said it i keep saying i believe this is going to be the greatest season of gncc racing today i've said it before and i've been right and how do we top the seasons we've had before just like this right here yeah exactly let's let's take it down the iron man mono amano the guy who wins wins it that's what we want that's that's the ideal picture-perfect thing another guy called richardson uh you know he he finished third last week and uh it was one of those things literally on racer tv after the race post race interviews we're looking where the heck is carl richardson he was back in the pits he said man i thought i got fourth right he said i feel bad about doing this interview i didn't earn this i don't want to get a podium this way which every pro guy is going to say that same thing rocky rocks by the way yes he was in the crocs also but he wants to come out and and earn that podium position too today and right now he's doing well yeah uh and cole i mean he doesn't he hasn't been nearly as much as a spotlight lately but he's as much of a threat and a factor i think on walker fowler as bryson neil is in all honesty and he's as much of a threat and a factor on bryce and neal as walker fowler is so those three kind of been i'm going to say and i don't mean this in a bad way in any way shape or form but they are kind of in the league of their own not saying that other riders can't achieve that level on certain days and at certain times but these guys are consistently on that level and those are the guys that we consistently see battling up front or have been so far i mean you get your glimpses of of craziness going on under heart by the way is up to a sixth place position slowly working his way up through the pack uh you start doing the math right now he's five seconds behind adam mcgill he's another seven eight seconds behind uh jared mccor so he's not far out of that fourth place position within 15 or so seconds and we could see him just off the podium if this race continues to run in his favor so you know don't don't say well hunter seems to have lost it because he's not in podium contention today look dude we got six seven guys you finished top seven in the xc1 class you are flying out there there's no doubt about it and people are starting to recognize and realize that i mean they want those top fives they want those podiums but they're they may not be satisfied but they're okay with the top seven at this point exactly that was something that uh i know austin abney talked about which he had the breakdown last week not doing very well today but uh i saw some maturity in him coming from him was all right learning experience that's what the rookie season is about is it is a huge huge step from that xc2 to the xc1 and you get a dose of that in that rookie season and that's what austin's going through right now but if you can take something away and hunter hart's a good example of it you know he he goes in there and he battles with guys middle of the pack well now he's got a taste of battling with the guys out front he knows those lines are taken he knows the strategies they're working with it's that process and as much as the term a lot of people don't like it hunter heart is a good example of a guy that's trusting that process and the progress is there because of it okay uh just to update us we are at mile marker number four this is where we saw the gap starting to shrink uh a lap ago uh from 40 down to 20 uh to 30 i guess it would have been and then from 30 down to 20 and now just under 20 at 18 seconds lap time for walker fowler last time around 26 38 and a half 26 15 for bryson neal if he's on that pace again here on this lap there's a good chance when we see these guys coming in the view he might be either on the rear bar or well within sight of the number one and look at this i don't know how far behind these leaders are but there's some lap traffic coming so that is going to weigh in the favor of bryce and neal to make that gap catch up out there so this this my friends is about to get exciting we still have to look at our amateur rundowns here in just a few moments but right now i want to check out what's going on right here this four mile marking mikey wayne yeah we're rolling man uh well that was something that uh we have heard from the pro guys in the last the first couple of rounds and we've seen if you just in the numbers itself for the gnc sees through now the first uh two and a half rounds because today's almost in the books numbers are up as far as the number of riders you even mentioned hey the afternoon race man it looked like an am racer so many out there yeah actually i'm going to tell you the youth race uh last week in florida look like an am race in florida uh the the crowd the riders on the starting line uh over 100 on the starting line 125 this morning folks youth atv racing is growing we had we had more numbers in the morning race i can't remember how you know on that than what we do on average and what we normally have here at uh the general gncc and we had i think the number was 200 for this afternoon which is probably about 20 more than what we normally have uh and especially here in georgia it's generally down even more than that to around 150 or 140 we are at a solid 200 riders for this afternoon race tell me atv racing is going by the wayside manufacturers wake up start making these things again i don't know what the the hold up is on it i get it man everybody likes side by side you've sold as many side-by-sides you're going to sell let's get these atvs and speaking of atvs there's walker fowler leading the way and he is going to lead the way for people to buy look at that there's bryce and neal right on screen well with the striking distance you can see him he's within 10 seconds i'm going to say down to about eight seconds possibly uh that we see bryce neal behind walker fowler so look man just methodically working his way through the woods and you know a week ago we might have seen bryson neal he looked like he was just a man on fire man on the mission just going all over the place so calm so cool so direct in his movements this time through he seems to have really maybe learned some things from that last round of racing pushing the machine pushing himself obviously the broken blast him on his steering oh yeah that heartbreaker you know he's not going to stay i pushed it too hard and it broke but he he calls it a faulty part but you know you look back at him and he pushes things he pushes things harder than anybody does out there and if pieces are going to break he's going to be the man that's going to break it but he's going to be the man that's going to make it even stronger can he get stronger than walker fowler today 877-441-4386 [Music] so this week in yamaha history takes us back to the 2007 triton gncc in vero beach florida it was the kickoff to the new season and all the days players were on hand writers like bill balance chris forrest taylor kaiser william yoakley chris bethel brian cook chris kings santo darisi and so many more at the start of the race it was the younger brother of bill balance brandon balance taking the lead on lap number one a lead that he held on to through the entire lap but the left two big brother who was only 11 seconds back took the lead and never looked back lap two also saw a change by bethel who found himself in third before falling back to seventh the battle was intense as bill balance stretched the lead the rest of the field jumbled themselves about before they finally settled in at the end and the checkers bill balance took a 49 second win over chris porch in second and taylor kaiser was over five minutes back in third place and that's this week in yamaha history and welcome back to gncc live you know i have to say beer beach may have been one of my favorite gncc's in florida other than the orange crust in the hall waller of course but that one was a grand day no doubt about it as bill balance took one of his many many wins picking the action back up mile marker number four now i'm rodney tomlin with mikey wayne's as we continue to roll through this race let's go ahead and um uh adam i assume now would be a good time to take a look at some of our amateur action nope we'll wait on that and we'll do that we're going to see some leaders coming here in just a few moments i believe we should be probably around the eight six eight mile marker coming out here pretty soon i did i did want to give a quick shout out ronnie well we got a little lag in time uh tonight six o'clock uh dq back home is gonna set our lucas grounds benefit auction live uh on ebay so i'll be sure to share some stuff on that uh on the internets and uh you guys will be able to bid on some really awesome sign gncc pro rider jersey some super cross jerseys some nascar stuff all stuff all sorts of good stuff so should see leaders popping out here soon i also want to know look at the field section you can tell it's all been water because there's no dust kicking of whatsoever uh i don't think so i don't think so our camera crew thinking maybe been uh walker and bryson but we're gonna wait just to see for sure there's pro right here they are wheel to wheel rodney tomlin yes they are that is uh bryce and neal on the rear grab bar right now of walker fowler as we roll into the uh we'll head through the five mile marker it looks like they're gonna go through this little wood section people will pop right back out on this look at that that is at the eight mile marker now the number one walker fowler there is the number two of bryce neal hot on his heels as they roll into this open field section and about eight bike links separate these guys it's a blink of an eye though these speeds mikey wings taking a look at this look at that oh bryson going a little wide right there probably trying to stay out of some of that dust that walker fowler's putting out make sure that machine lasts he needs that to get through the checkers today no sense in uh making a sacrifice right here well i'll tell you we were watching bryce and neal seem to be riding very collectively not over his head or pushing too many envelopes there just a few moments ago will he be able to maintain that mindset as he is on the rear grab bar as we said of walker fowler right now as we roll through these trees the battle on screen blocker fowler price and neal here at the general gncc we saw him earlier roddy last time they were in the woods section we saw some different line choices out of them and a little bit more of that right there as they start getting into some of this lap traffic i gotta think that's kind of an advantage if you're bryce and neal if you're walker fowler you just hope those lappers hear you coming and if they don't they don't get out of the way that may hang up walker fowler and give bryson an opportunity to make a pass right here but right now walker's starting to stretch it out a little bit here in this wood section well i'll tell you walker last week in florida in the same kind of scenario situation mikey wayne i told me uh that you know he felt bryson back there he said i was riding as fast as i was going to ride i was not going to ride any faster come what man if bryson wanted to push it and get around me that was fine he said i just maintain an even pace he said i heard him i heard him i heard him and then i didn't hear him anymore and i think he even said maybe the same thing there in the post race interviews but i'm sure that's the mindset he's going in with now i'll ride my race let him ride his if he self-destructs that's his problem yeah i mean that nails it right there both of these guys know what it takes to be the guy out front right now um and and keep that lead and keep the other guy off your back right now walker fowler doing a good job as their back end of the woods right there and i thought for a second walker got a little slowed up but no he's still rolling into the fmf powerpoint bryce and neal that gap we saw in the woods it's disappearing already wow i know that uh folks back home watching on this uh as we roll through this fmf powerpoint are pretty stoked alapago the difference that we saw bryson just trying to close that gap now the big question is how far back to third place cole richardson did cole get left behind or was he able to latch on and keep some of the pace that bryce and neal is pushing with right now there there they go one by one and still no sign of that third place ride of cole richardson but i'm telling you folks we do not want to take our eyes off of this battle going through yamaha live drone uh yamaha racing want to say thanks to them our drone operator today dylan atkins which happens to be yeah my great nephew yeah i i walked up here i said you're operating the drone that they said yeah i said you're going to do great and he's the folks at home i think you can concur he's doing very well and his father my nephew is actually working a camera in the woods as well so it's a family affair be he's a talker but i don't know if he's an announcer he's still full of it and he can oh look at that ronnie oh okay that was scary traffic [Laughter] the bryce and neal fans at home were saying to their tv just now another lapper right there they're able to get around them see if bryce and neal can make quick work of him and he does got a little tight what's impressive though i mean the gap opens up and then bryson closes it right back down so every inch that walker's able to gain bryson regains it right back in just a few feet so you know walker starts feeling a little bit of ah oh there's a little bit of breath oh no there he is again man you know that has to be playing mind games with them right now when you've got a 40-second lead and you get pit boards 40 seconds 40 seconds 40 seconds and all of a sudden 30 seconds 20 seconds 10 seconds and then you're hearing the guy on your rear grab bar you know yeah that right there those are the kind of things that look man it brought him up so much closer to the rear end of that number one machine but it looked like walker was kind of anticipating what is what is the left rider gonna do is he gonna go that inside or outside line so walker kind of had to slow up a little bit and now now our lappers are starting to realize hey there is a race going on and i am not involved in that race in particular well i tell you lappers are starting to become a factor but not nearly as much as last sunday race with the two-wheel side of things 14 miles of races 350 riders on the track and it seemed like they were battling through traffic kind of similar to this only a little thicker on the two wheels on sunday uh you know growth is great and uh higher numbers are great unless you're on the front line it could be it could be your friend or you could be your foe i guess exactly depends on how you work it last week it turned out to be walker fowler's friend we'll see if it's his whole and so far it's been his friend but i don't know about now oh bryson trying to make something happen right there doesn't quite pay off for him but tried to make a move i think he was definitely anticipating these guys aren't moving for walker i'm going to see if i can sneak around them but i'll tell you right now if you're wondering what happens when these riders ride up on a laptop i can say there's a lot of yelling there's a lot of panic revving it by the way all the way out of the way leaders leaders leaders they say things like that to get those and you can only imagine what it's like to be in that position to have somebody like walker fowler or bryce and neal come blazing up on you screaming get out of my way and probably a few words that if we were on hbo we could throw out what is the internet but we still don't it's a family show that's right we've got kids at home watching church i know it's not sunday but we can catch it up for you all righty here we go uh walker fowler still on point and uh do this wow i was gonna say it looked like he might be starting to get a little bit of the breathing room in this woodstock uh this is even tighter i mean we're looking at at most four and five bike lengths for these guys as we hit this open section now it does stretch out a little bit more but closes right back up i mean that accordion effect is crazy between these two as we head toward the finish line and conclusion of lap number four i believe we'll see a white flag coming out it is a all gloves off mono amano battle we are about ready to go slugfest here in lap number five the final lap of the specialized general gncc who's gonna come out on top of this with walker fowler leading bryce and neal laptime's at the end of that one 27-44 for walker fowler bryce and neal a 27-27 and into the pro pits as they both get the pit boards look at this now i don't know if walker fowler was grabbing carol look at this there's a side-by-side drag race going back into this wooded section but fowler's still with the advantage as we open back up here comes neil once again he's going for the pass bumping going on walker found not going to relinquish that line get out of my way right neal if you want this line you're going to have to fight for it and bryce neal has got the glove sauce heath coming to swinging it is tyson holyfield right now rodney and you want to be the guy out front you want to be the one you know you want to hit those marks you've got those lines picked out you want to be the guy in front in control in the driver's seat in this with this last lap and right now walker fowlers is not so soon young buck i'm still number one lying choice is critical as they come out of this wooded section now into one of our open sections slap traffic just ahead will there be any grounds made by the number two of bryce and neal will walker fowler get the break that he's gonna be searching for line choices ultim alternate line choices for bryson neal not paying off for him there i think it tossed him more than he gained in that situation but regardless you gotta try anything when the gloves are off this is a street fight my friends there are no rules there are no rules bite nails claws whatever you got man i gotta think with the lappers uh look out kids [Laughter] the lappers were such a factor after the two lap card i hate to say it i'm thinking that's going to be a factor come here this white flag this last lap something's going to happen well there's kids shaken up those kids were running they could hear him come and look at this walker fowler through that specialized turbo section of the racetrack down by the pond now still out front and control bryce and neal as they disappear out of sight for just a few moments still right there well within striking distance one tiny mistake one big break for bryson neal and he takes over the lead but again dealing with walker fowler easier said than done i'm out of breath this is but this is one of the best one that we've had in a long time rodney uh we'll we'll have that drone footage for you here in a second we'll catch back up with those guys but uh boy this is this has been the one i think all off season everybody at home this is what they talked about you got it right here racer yeah we we definitely need in-flight fueling system for our drone from the up now exactly we got their drone to change the battery while it's in the air wow all right i've got goosebumps like three times already i am so excited so pumped up about this mikey wayne's this is why we come to the races this is why i love gncc racing so much it's things just like this when they come down to these types of battles you wait you learn you want more and you just keep coming back for more this is the one everybody i think has been waiting for uh it's not one of those where rodney and i sit back and do golf talk because walker's ahead two minutes or bryce deals ahead two minutes this one i don't know what you guys paid for this at home but uh you're getting your money's worth today there's no doubt about that let's look back a little further in the pack we've been focusing on the leaders up front of fowler and neil mcclure still number three a minute and 22 seconds back they have eclipsed the rest of the field adam mcgill is for look at this john glava jr and his sophomore season now up to a top five chris sports is six hundred heart drops back to seventh josh merritt in eighth devin behan ninth and cole richardson rounding out the top ten not sure what's going on there for the number three coltrane he was within striking distance of bryson neal but and trying to latch on so evidently he must have made a mistake maybe a mechanical issue of some sort but uh he's not checked in for his fourth lap complete and drop back to the number 10 spot as of right now speaking ass up right now as we watch the accent here at the monster mile just trying to get trying to get my bearings about me because this one is going to be a barn burner somebody call 9-1-1 not only are they playing with matches look at this they're side by side ultimate lines coming through this wood section walker fowler into the monster mile has the advantage deal by only a couple of bank links as we traverse our way through this now gnarly and nasty section of race courts it's getting tougher and tougher monkey wings for these riders to get through this section look at the ruts look at the roots they're having to ride around that is as technical as it gets through that monster mile there's no speed it's be clean smooth and there weren't any line choices it was take what you can get and our lab traffic says oh my i know that number one plate and i know that guy on the number two bike i need to move and let these guys get to work i tell you man we know bryce and neal's got the speed to catch up the walker battle the question is will he be able to pass him straight up we saw him pulling up side by side in some of those short open field sections we'll see what happens we'll have a few more of those through obviously throughout the course of this battle and we also see bryce and neal alternate lying choices in those wood sections just looking for any advantage he can find that may put him in front of that number one machine that's right now is the time for bryce and neal he's in the number two spot he knows that third uh both him and walker know third place is a big distance behind him so if you're in that number two spot you know hey i can ride risky i can take some chances because i know hey even if i go down on the machine i probably got time to get back up get on the machine and keep my second place if nothing else so if i'm bryce and neal i'm letting it all hang out on the track i believe is this no i thought it was third place coming through there for just a moment this might be our third place coming through now the two mile marker not that i believe this is the guys behind him two guys i think those are two lappers and i think i saw our third place right mccor coming in that could have been just getting little sneaky peeks of him that's him and look at mcgill mcgill right there with him so we got a uh yeah in the fourth spot third and fourth are nose to tail that's where they were when they came through after lap number four about two miles ago so nothing really changing in that battle right now they are looking at about a minute and 23 second gap between them and second place rodney we got more races after this we got we got an emtb race everything i know i don't even have any voice left wow i i i will get it you know that's the beauty of it the adrenaline gets blown we'll we'll find our voice for that one there's no doubt about it and in our first round the big mtb gncc racing here this year yamaha's got a lot of stuff going on tonight uh as you mentioned a few moments ago the uh auction is going live for lucas grounds on ebay that bottleneck live is doing be sure and check that out uh we'll get some key you got some keywords and things that uh not yet i gotta talk to dq my cell reception's not the best here but it will be live i'll be sure to share the link i'm sure it'll be easy to find and then um uh we'll plug that tomorrow but it is a seven day auction so if you don't have hot heart on screen if you don't have good reception here at the track don't worry you're not going to miss out on probably my favorite item is the caleb russell isd helmet that he uh that one's gonna i think i want to pull some some money for uh for lucas and 100 of that money just an fyi for you cole richardson still has not oh there we got an update cole richardson still has not checked in but finally we've got some check-ins the wesley wolf is now in 10th place johnny gallagher up to 11th grade cover in 12. cole richardson still not checked in for lap 4 complete has dropped all the way back as far as 13th now behind greg covert if he does check in now i don't think we've seen him on screen so i don't think it's a transponder issue or anything so yeah heartbreaking heartbreaker for him because i know he was looking and hoping for so much here and you know sometimes it's make a break thing for some of these writers whether it be oh there they are oh wow putting a little bit of gap on them yeah bryson oh yeah there you go lap traffic playing a factor yeah bryce and neal still trying to bridge that gap but wow look at that walker's starting to put some distance out there oh now around oh this that watch look how quick that tightens right back up yeah and it's oh wow you just connect with the lapper what happened to them bryson neal gets around can we get a replay on that if we can get the replay on that that will be awesome though something happened walker fowler either got crosstalk again with the laptop we're going to get a specialized replay on that here in just a moment but we just saw it happen the mistake made man the changing of the guard basically and look at this bryce and neal is checking out will walker fowler rise to that level or will he just say all right we'll give you this one today championship mode kick back in and will he think of it from that aspect here's our special lights rapid replay now there's there is the top of the screen uh walker top of the screen so here we go and he kind of disappears right here for just across the second yeah i think he just got crossroaded right there bryce neal goes off to the right around and walker fowler finally gets uncross that writer was behind him there was a rider there there was a rider down right there and i think you're right i think as walker try to get around him he gets a little cross threaded beside that lapper and wow that's not all she wrote folks though make no mistake walker's gonna be uh doing what he can and that gap is gone i'm thinking he went to the outside try to cut into the inside bryson and i think a writer was down he tried to get somewhere in and got cross-rotted and either went down or he got tangled up yeah i mean and that's easy to do especially getting high sided on these uh atvs out there like that uh and and you see what happens but bob walker fowler right back on it more lap traffic he realizes more of that's coming so he's going to try to utilize it to his advantage can bryce and neil slice to the left traffic quite as easily as what walker fowler had been appearing to do so far look at this now walker fowler's got right back up to bryce and neal just the same way we saw neal catching up to walker so these guys neither one like i said the gloves are off right now these guys are going at it this is a bear fisted street fight going on between these guys here on the off road side of things get an idea their speeds are going to pop out into this open section before they stay in the woods they go back into the woods okay yeah right back into the woods there yeah i was about to jameson walker as well i was about to say the left started helping him and that happened yeah they uh yeah yeah anything that's the beauty of gncc racing yes we are i love this camera shot right here man these guys coming at you like that uh really get to see the way those machines work the suspension and everything about the atvs especially when they come through at the intense rate that we see walker and wait is that oh look up here wow a lot of lap traffic ahead of them right now and nowhere to go i mean there's really nowhere for him to pull off right there this guy does and walker fowler's right back on the rear grab bar of bryson neal now so we've just switched things around a little bit wow lap traffic they get through two of them what's going on here oh bryson now one more left rider just ahead of him as they go through the trees i'm not sure if he made it by him or not it was still bryson out front somebody cut that tree down i'm kidding i'm kidding baby sort of well hug it hug it first before you cut it yeah use it as countertops you see a stump of a tree and it says don't worry i hugged it first perfect yeah so we'll hug these three but now we want to keep them there because they make for good obstacles for sure obviously for vision and variety yeah no doubt it did look like bryson had him by by half a bike length if that i'll tell you what right now we are we are an hour and 38 minutes into this race as we have a duel going on rosenberger nick may and henry moore your top five riders all from different states if you check that out as well ryan electron got an early lead out of ohio earlier today and still out front tim white in second nick miller in third pin dunlap and jason ellis rounding out the top five for the vet b 30 plus class as we take a look next at the vet or excuse me the senior 40-plus class i believe we'll be seeing scott wilhelm out front of this one with dave ashby in second wesley smith out of richmond kentucky and third richie mccauley in fourth and jason lindley rounding out the top five from the home of high point raceway mount morris pennsylvania that's your senior v40 plus class as we roll next to the xd1 pros we see uh well bryson neal last check was out front fowler in in third adam mcgill before john glotta rounding out the top five the young sophomore really making some gains over the last couple laps to grab that position rocket ronnie as i like to say little ronnie rush out of pittsburgh is leading this one tanner walker in second brandon owens in third kevin yoho back in the number four spot now is ben kowalewski rounds out the top five a lot of pa writers in that one as well west virginia and ohio representing strong in their top five college a 16 to 21 year old stephen harrell of elkridge maryland leading james glad in the number two spot cameron avey is third alex tiemann and the number four spot it's ethan meyer rounding out your top five junior eight 22 plus blast jay siandron former xc1 pro writer uh leading this one jeremy ladonne former atv motocross star in second alex haley off in third brad indorel in fourth and birdie living good rounding out the top five jeremy ladon also a champion of many gncc classes last couple of years aj koontz or tom coons however you want to go uh that a class leader over big probably jeff pickens now james green running in the number three spot brad whitehead is fourth christopher kirby rounding out the top five as we look at the senior 840 plus class it's bryan fultz out of pa leading chris conklin out of sistersville west virginia ryan shaw is third jason walker in fort and the marlboro man todd muscala rounds out the top five in the heart of gncc country uniontown pas where he's from ian burns leading the college b-class jig of fleming in second kai armagast in the number three spot mason howard in fourth and paxton dickerson rounding out the top five for the college feed 16 to 21 year old division shane mcmillan leading the junior b class as we round them out there ethan helbig again in second robbie rosenberger third nick may in fourth and henry moore rounding out the top five but that's your amateur rundown here rocky mountain atvmc leaderboard at this the general gncc didn't notice that picking up the action on our yamaha live drone and again at last check we had we did happen there could be some changes here we don't know what's going on but it was bryce and neal out front of walker fowler but walker was doing the exact same thing to him to bryce neal is what bryson was doing to walker so maybe he can push him into the mistake see now i know that bryson's fast and we know that he pushes a clip and sometimes walker will say he goes a little faster than he wants to push it but at this point you gotta think now this is the mind game that walker's getting the perfect position to do to him what he does to me does he have the mental preparedness to be able to withstand the battle with somebody breathing down that rear uh tailpipe like that i believe this is them and that if that's the case looks like they may be switched back around walker battle back out front of bryson neal no that's not them though i guess that looks like walker that's what that yeah that might be bryson ahead of him there so see at the bottom of the screen he's right behind the graphic yeah i'm gonna say that was right i think it was bryson up up there battling in front with a bit of a gap yeah it looked like i thought that was walker out front back out front we'll see right now as we go through the eight mile marker there is the number one walker fowler checking through we'll see now oh no we're wrong it was walk around that was walker and bryson just as i anticipated going in that wooded section so they have made the change to see that that's them that was the ones we were looking at there a few moments ago i'm pretty sure so we got ourselves a a real barn burner on this one so they switch back and forth walker fowler back out on top now the big question is will bryson kneel after that big push and then having the pressure applied to him does he have the endurance remember walker fowler's been training in the heat and santa florida so his endurance level has got to be off the scale to this particular point bryce neal training up north in ohio now we know the conditions similar to what we have down here but he was also training in much cooler weather the heat and today is hot oh and he goes for it does he go for it am i getting mixed up um i'm not sure okay that was a lap yeah okay so same situation though walker you know doesn't handle it no problem but it's a situation where like we saw earlier is it going to come down to lap traffic getting in the way right now looking pretty good for walker fowler well i'll tell you what old lucky is really played this card right today we're just gonna poke the bear yeah walk around you know here's what i see anybody that says that walker's lucky yeah he's got some luck involved in that but you know what you create your own luck yeah but but to say lucky 62 times right that's something else this is a situation if bryson can close that gap more lap traffic for walker getting around right there if he can close that gap and kind of like they've done to each other today force the guy into a line that sends him right into the rear end of a lap rider gives you an opportunity to get one of those outside lines and get around for the past but right now man walker fowler is just turning it on i mean he knows it's go time walker fowler right now in search of win number 62 in his amazing career and to extend the points lead by another five at least points over the number two of bryson neal who sits now 25 points back in the championship points race still early in the season to be talking about that i realized but at the same time we know it's going to be a real dog fight and likely between these two riders is the season where it's not still early a lot of things can change obviously but that's the way we're appearing uh at this right now and right now the fmf powerpoint uh leaders checking in with us there goes bryce neal still fowler out front we see the white helmet going through the woods there is bryce and neal writing at the intensity that we saw him riding at a lap ago but he was trying to track down walker fowler and trying to put the stretch up between he and the number one machine we are closing in we are about three minutes from what we expect and anticipate to be the checkered flag and of course that puts us to within about a mile of the finish line with that being said can bryson hill bridge that gap back and make that pass before the checkers or walker fowler display dominance here in georgia wrapping up this third round of a 13-round championship season mcclure still back in the number three spot mcgill in fourth john glotta junior last jack was fifth chris bortch in six hunter heart in seventh josh merritt eight devin behind ninth and wesley wolfe rounding out the top ten as far as overall amateur awards are concerned looks like junior a 22 plus class leader jay shadron is 15th place overall stephen harrell who is second in that class the one second in the college a class is excuse me leading the college a class second in the top amateur running 20th overall on the 908 yamaha meanwhile back up front we turn our attention to walker fowler who looks and appears to be on his way to win number 62 in his gncc racing career by the front gate leaving and heading into the final and closing moments through these relatively open woods sections but still seemingly one-lined wood sections for these riders as they look for those checkers in the conclusion of five laps in this battle now the first lap was only about five minutes or so so a couple miles is all we were looking at there uh here last four laps though have been those laps somewhere in the neighborhood about 27 28 minutes for our leaders and that puts us right in that two-hour range somewhere near one hour 54 minutes 55 minutes when the checkers finally do unfurl for these riders as we get a bird's eye view from the yamaha live drone right now checking things out here at the georgia motorsport complex [Music] all right so here we go one hour 52 minutes of this race is what we're battling with right now walker fowler is going to make things happen here today it appears even with the pressure that was applied to him he was still able to make things happen being chased down and passed and given the opportunity to strike back fowler shows why he is a sixth time and working on possibly a seven time champion here in the gncc racing world fowler making his way through the closing moments of this special lines general gncc coming out of this final wood section walker fowler will be on his way to win number 62. and there he is in among some lap traffic there's brexit neal with him he's trying to get around him who's going to take the checkers it's going to be right down to the wire final turn walker fowler takes it by inches at the checkered flag lap traffic comes to play in that one at the very end and nearly opens the window of opportunity once again for bryce and neal who did not let up the official time difference point six one nine between walker fowler and bryce and neal as those two exchange the battle stories amongst each other now so there they are talking to each other a little handshake both these riders very excited right now both riders i'm sure talking about the lap traffic and those guys not getting out of the way and putting that pressure on but it's good to see these guys talking the way they're talking after the race and smiling somewhat at each other i know that walker's got to be feeling a lot better bryson's got to be feeling good although a little disappointed at the same time but i tell you folks this right here is what we've got to look forward to as far as the future of gscc and atv raising is concerned walker fowler and bryce and neal right down to the water one hour 53 minutes and 52 seconds basically is what we're looking at at this race today here in georgia will be well mikey wayne's is down near the finish line right now we'll be getting a word in with walker fowler here in just a few moments you know the adrenal is still pumping for these guys right now still waiting on third place to find his way into the finish line region will it be jared mcclure will it be adam mcgill will it be john glotta junior or someone else that has been able to capture that position over the course of the last lap of racing you can see walker fowler's got a lot to talk about after this race talking with big john our security man here and uh basically our gncc police department the chief if you will the sheriff whatever he is and uh looks like walter fowler is talking about a real fight right there we were talking about a slugfest so evidently there was a slugfest well this is going to be an interesting story to hear come from both these riders uh walker fowler and bryce and neal my hat's off to both thank you both so very much for the the effort that you put forth today to give us the show and to give us the race that you did because my friends that right there is what gncc racing is all about mikey wayne's when you're ready my friend we'll uh throw it down to you and talk with our top three finishers but mercy sinks alive that right there my friends the great race walker's got a story and a half to tell right now you can see he's still pretty amped up pre-charged up but i've seen a couple smiles come out of his face but he's not he doesn't appear to be extremely happy about things right now even though he took the win i'm going to have to think that maybe he might be a little upset about the way the lap traffic played such a factor into this one it'll be interesting to hear the the tale of this story and round number three of this 2021 season look at the kids gathering around he's taking that moment to do the little fist bump a true champion no doubt about it walker fowler and uh with that uh looks like he may be about ready let's head on down mikey wayne's and walker fowler to talk about this amazing battle here in georgia by the way jared mcclure checked in in third place position mikey with walker fowler man uh these guys talking about if the folks at home are wondering what the facial expressions are about an unrace related incident we'll put it that way i'm sure we'll find out more walker man a first place finish what was a gnarly battle probably the best one we've seen in years between you and bryson talk to us about this win uh you know we got off to a good start and that's always good and great and i tried to pull a little bit of a lead i'm a little soft on the suspension settings but you know you learn and i knew uh was gonna be coming hard so i just tried to you know keep that gap and i knew it was gonna i knew it was gonna dwindle a little bit he always rides good here and uh man uh made a mistake uh had a lapper in front of me hit a tree crash that's how he made up that last ten or so excuse me i believe on lap two and then uh he ended up having a crash i had another crash uh man we're just riding so fast right now it's uh it's not if or when or it's not if we're gonna make mistakes it's when and how big they are um and it was fun honestly we had some super cross-like battles going through the field out here uh you know i was kind of doing some law pass and he was kind of giving me a wheel but it was everything was cool and uh man what happened that last lap i think i had another oh i got a hung up with a lapper in a corner hit the tree had to get off the bike neal got around me and uh man we were noticing tail everything was going good and we got out uh bryson that's checkpoint three i think i think it was checkpoint three out there um it might have been the second one it's out by the highway and uh there's a mud section we run every year uh i fall bryce into there's a bunch of lappers stuck and he goes into it and a log that they were using to fill the right way through his arm i think and uh he went over the bars pretty hard and i ran up right on him and uh a couple of fans were standing there they weren't helping at first and then uh you know we're both like hey i said it's neil and fowler like i think you could help us and they uh three of them two and a half went to bryson and i wasn't near as stuck i had kind of just started into it so i had a young young kid help me and uh i was able to get off the back of him and when i wheelied off the back because he the only did you end up going backwards would you go forwards he was yelling that he needed to go backwards i think with that log and it and i so i got out of his way but the lady that was helping him fell between us and her husband thought i hit her or that i pushed her and he sucker punched my freaking goggles out of my face said don't touch my wife punch me again that won't hurt but i took it like a champ and i said sir i didn't touch anybody please get out of my way i just need literally he couldn't go anywhere i couldn't go anywhere and they just stood there and i can't believe that we got we win are we even first and second we sat there bryson i don't know how long we sat there but uh i'm just i'm just sick to my stomach right now honestly if someone would have hit him i'd have been just as upset and i know he's not happy about it really getting stuck is one thing but having flint fans that i thought were going to help us start blocking us and interfering with the race we're lucky that we even got first and second and it's just i hate that that you know that good of a battle ends like that i'm just i'm sticking my stomach i'd really like to have words with the man that touched me i'd really like to there you go there's the invite rodney tomlin there's your winner here today with some strong words walker fowler oh man wow what a story into that one and obviously walker fowler upset and not happy i'm sure that bryce and neal's feeling the same way in a circumstance in the situation like that totally uncalled for completely uncalled for right now and hopefully that gets rectified but nonetheless wow what a race down the wire thank you walker fowler thank you bryson neal jerry mcclure finishing up a minute and 17 seconds back at the number three spot we see adam mcgill gets fourth uh chris porch in fifth hunter heart takes six seventh goes to john glotton that's our top seven in with five laps and we have bryce and neal standing by with mikey waynes here with bryce and neil bryson uh we saw high fives and a great race between you and walker fowler the drama was outside you guys today but man that that was a heck of a ride not the best start for you but boy you guys put on a show you know i got a pretty good jump off the line and i got pinched a lot of people was getting good starts these days and everyone's going forward i got pinched a couple guys got kind of sideways in front of me i caught some tires and pinball and next thing you know i was last going to the first corner i know i had a long day i looked up the trail i saw walker was in the first go into the woods and i was like man came around the end of the first lap i was like they showed me 45 second pit board down and i was like man it's gonna be a long day and i just put my head down i closed i think they gapped about 17 20 seconds at the end of the second and then about i don't know halfway to the third we caught up to him and man we had a really good battle going i squeezed past him he kind of he got messed up trying to go around the lapper i squeezed around the outside i was losing the clutch i had no more adjustment going backwards my clutch was getting tight i was afraid i was going to lose it the gear lower trying to save my clutch and trying to be easier probably the nastiest hole on the whole property that pretty well the only one you know man we hit at the wrong time people everywhere walker went right behind me we tried to go through some logs stacked up in the ruts and they just caught my rear i just caught my front end just stopped me dead he was jammed up behind me and um i'm struggling trying to get my bike out i'm lifted i'm pulling everything i got you know i'm 190 i lift weights all the time in the gym and i'm telling you it was everything i had and i couldn't i could not even get the harley budge and i look back and there's a guy helping him out and i'm yelling at people there's a lot of big dudes around you know we're going to help help help and he gets sideways and he flips it out and then i look over and it looked like to me that the dude ripped his goggle out literally i know he was punching me he gets out and then the guy was helping him he he helped me out thankfully enough and then he had some bike links on me and we didn't get to close it up to right here at the finish line but you know what you know being 45 seconds down and being able to run it running down and put in some really good laps you know program's working really great i'm in a really good spot you know the last race is out of my hands but uh you know we're we're just trying our best here you know we want to win we want to do our best that's what we strive for we really want to win bad so this one sucks you know but we'll take a second we cross the finish we need 10 more strong rounds and we'll focus on regrouping and try to get some better starts and get some more all wins congratulations to bryson thanks mikey and you can see the look of this appointment on his facebook folks i said it was a street fight out there i didn't realize it was going to turn into a real bear knuckle brawl out there but walker fowler taking two shots from a race fan unfortunately uh but i tell you more than anything those guys right there to see those guys um talking and laughing after this race the way that they are that's good to see the guys we know the heat of competition that those guys are in on and off the racetrack you know there's a lot of a lot of games that go on in this big sport of virus and to see them to be able to converse like that is is so cool jerry mcclure is our third place finisher we call him the sneaky snake he's aka the cobra as well as he strikes hard from out of nowhere and is able to capture that third place position and we'll get with mikey wayne's down there in just a couple moments but wow what a day folks we'll be back at it again tomorrow for two wheel action uh all getting underway about one o'clock uh if you watched last uh sunday's bike battle you're going to want to be back for tomorrow's race there's no doubt about it and for those of us here at the racetrack we still got plenty of great things going on emtb gncc is coming up here shortly uh also ep racing coming up uh the folks at yamaha are feeding the blue crew members and of course they got the grab-and-go boxes from zaxby's coming here this evening at seven o'clock and we've got jared mcclure the sneaky snake standing by with mikey wayne's down near the specialized winner's circle uh you missed all the chaos between the top two guys but hey hey uh yeah i really didn't know anything uh anything about what was going on up front i was with those guys first few laps and uh cole got around me i let him buy because bryson was starting to pull so i figured i'd let cole go and maybe me and him could roll together and i just tried to sneak a little line and bump the tree like a little root sucked me into a tree no mistake but i fell back a little bit from them guys and pretty much rode myself and then adam closed up on me and uh and i was just like flirt all over again had the gator behind me for the last two three laps and uh this time he went back and forth a couple muddles he got he got behind me in the one mud hole and the next model i get by him so uh you know it was cool going back and forth with him and then uh last lap keep getting in a mud hole got by me and uh we're coming in the last section uh i knew my one of my guys dougie hunter was out there he pointed a line adam took a different line we came out side by side and came across the only little bridge on the track and it was only wide enough for one quad inside i just kept pushing pushing gator almost ended in the ditch so it was cool uh happy with third i mean it was a it was a long winter up north tonight it feels good to just get down here and ride i think i was just so pumped to ride on dirt that you know that's why i did well you know my pit crew uh you know they were awesome uh kept me where i was all day and uh it was a good day it's a good day indeed there you go congratulations make some noise third place rider jared mcclure well jerry mccord taking third place here today at this specialized turbo general gncc turbo it's you only faster yeah we're gonna be seeing some of that turbo action here track side tonight that's gonna wrap things up for us in the action real quick uh xc2 action saw some great battles as well tanner
